Normally I try to eat local-ish food as a tourist in a foreign place but I really can't resist thai food anywhere. And I'm so glad I stopped in. first of all, the food was absolutely spectacular!! I got the dumplings to start, the tom kha soup and a pad kraprow. Drinks were good as well, I recommend the gin mule. Location is right downtown, easy to find and in the middle of everything. Sergio, my server was very friendly, attentive and got me everything I needed. He made me feel really welcome (in english and in spanish!)

10000% worth the wait. The service was some of the best I’ve experienced in Mexico, special shoutout to Antonio for being outstanding. Food comes out quickly, which is always appreciated. Portions aren’t especially large, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re ordering family-style. Coming from the Bay Area, our bar for Thai food is high, and this place truly stood out. Everything we tried was excellent, but these were our favorites: Must-Order Dishes: • Tom Kha • Satay (fyi peanut sauce comes on top, not on the side) • Red curry with chicken • Pad See Ew with chicken and tofu Would absolutely return and recommend without hesitation!

Great experience at Po Thai! The servers were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was freshly made and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into each dish. The only small note is that the portions felt a bit on the smaller side—I was still a little hungry after—but the flavors and service more than made up for it. I’d definitely come back and try more items next time!

My husband and I had an amazing dinner at Po Thai and it’s easily one of our favourite meals so far in Playa del Carmen. We shared the spring rolls to start, which were fresh and crispy. For mains, my husband ordered the green curry and it was excellent. Our server, Antonio, told us about the specials of the day that weren’t listed on the menu, one of which was Khao Soi. I was thrilled to hear this since it was my favourite dish when I was in Thailand, and it absolutely lived up to my memories. Deeply flavourful, comforting, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Antonio was very friendly and made the experience feel warm and welcoming, and our conversations with him were genuinely fun. His ability to say “thank you” in an impressive number of languages was a great touch and added to the whole experience. We’re spending several weeks in Playa del Carmen and will definitely be back. Khop khun ka, Antonio!

Across the board great experience. Antonio was very attentive and helpful with the menu and specials. There was 5 of us and did family style with the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mau and the pineapple fried rice. We started with the dumplings and fried veggie roll. All the food was phenomenal. Pad Kee Mau was fairly spicy at medium so if you’re not a spicy fan just beware. This was the second time we came and will definitely be back. 10/10 would recommend

Visited this restaurant almost every day every time when I visited PDC. My favorite Thai restaurant, and I would say it’s probably the best and most authentic Thai food in North America. The Quea Tiaw (rice noodle soup) just tastes like the noodle soup you can find in the soi of Thailand.

Came here for my birthday, initially the place from outside looked like a small cafe but it turned out to be a hidden gem once sat down the waitress was really helpful and smiley, once we ordered the food its was as ordered and very tasty, as a desert I had the sticky rice and mango which was brilliant, would definetly recomend this restaurant

Food and Service was great. They have Gluten free options after request. Celiac friendly. Really enjoyed thai green tea with cocos milk.
