Edit: We have now also eaten at the restaurant. The food is amazing! The entertainment was fun and culturally educational. Had a great time, and will definitely go back. We didn't eat at the restaurant. We had Javi's Dinnertainment. He comes to your home and prepares a luxurious meal with appetizers, main course, and dessert. You can choose from many options what you want him to prepare. He also provides entertainment with his guitar. This was so much fun, and wonderful to have after a day in the sun. We will definitely do this again!

Absolutely delicious! Some of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever had. And the lobster tacos were fantastic as well. Full of flavor and well priced for the portions we received. It was our third time having Javi’s but our first time in his restaurant, and it definitely won’t be our last! The live music and dancing just added to the whole experience!

Javis never disappoints, We have had the pleasure of eating here for a few years and it is always good. We almost always get the lobster and the blue cheese salad is great too. Javi is always such a pleasure and watching his dad play music is super special! You enter at the street level but then are taken back to an open air courtyard.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with the efforts to help me set this up and organize everything with such ease from so far away. Everything I asked to be set up was. My wedding planner also helped to drop things off after the wedding. Javi himself and his son played complimentary music for over an hour it was so nice and unexpected. They made a menu for me, customized with our names. The service was great the food was great as well. The only disappointment I had was not being able to use the rooftop as planned. It wasn't raining. And I guess they didn't even clean it so I cud take pics. It was my only complaint. Overall the people are so nice, the food is great, even not being on the roof it was a good set up for 10 people. I definitely recommend using Javis for you event on the island as they are very accommodating and at a very very reasonable price. Thanks for everything#

Party of 12 with no reservations...they brought us to a private room and gave us the best service. 2 waiters and a helper, amazing service, outstanding food and wonderful atmosphere. I ordered apps for the table, lobster bites, fried asparagus and tuna tar tar. All were fantastic. My entrée was the parmesan chicken, it was fantastic, my only complaint is the entrée was listed with veggies and potato wedges and I was served french fries. All in all, a WONDERFUL experience.

We dined in for Javi’s chef’s table experience and it was phenomenal! The dishes were absolutely amazing. There was not a thing I did not find to be delectable! Javi not only explained his dishes he also shared stories and songs with us, along with his dad. Once again we had a memorable experience dining at Javi’s Cantina and Restaurant.

The Dinnertainment experience with Javi and his kids was awesome! They came to our vacation rental (Casa Bella Noche ❤️) and prepared a gourmet meal for us, then entertained us with stories and singing. It was sooo much fun. This will be a regular part of our future trips, for sure!

From David the greeter to our most outstanding and sweet waitress Monica, this was a pleasant and romantic dinner setting. We enjoyed the lobster bites and then for dinner he had the seared tuna and I had the pecan crusted fish. Everything in our opinion was perfect. He was absolutely delighted with is tuna. We bot highly recommend Javi's for an evening dinner to dress up a bit and even enjoy a little Bohemian music while dining. Make reservations ahead of time. We will be back!

We ate at Javi's for our anniversary. The charred pineapple margarita was very good. We each had a wedge salad, and the bleu cheese dressing was homemade and delicious. I had the parmesan crusted grouper, which was ok but a bit dry. My husband had shrimp, which was really good. We sat in the courtyard, which was hot, despite fans being on, so if you're sensitive to the heat, the inside is air conditioned. The fun part was the amazing entertainment for Mexican Fiesta night.

One of the BEST sit-down meals you’ll have on the island. Ridiculously fresh seafood, very kind and attentive service and the kitchen bangs out food with lightning speed. Highly recommend the fresh fish of the day, the shrimp ceviche, lobster tacos or the grilled lobster tail. If you’re feeling spicy, the fried jalapeño strips with dipping sauce are a fun appetizer. Bonus: they have LIVE MUSIC every night. 9 out of 10 doctors say relaxing acoustic music reduces your caloric intake by half :)

Despite staying at an all inclusive we came here multiple nights and this restaurant does not disappoint. First of all, everyone is incredibly friendly (Aza, at the front and our server, Jesus, deserve shout outs). You really feel welcome here. The drinks are unique and taste great. And the food is absolutely delicious. Amazing combination of ingredients that taste like modern takes on traditional dishes (do yourself a favor and get the guacamole). Everything tastes very very fresh. Great entertainment in the back of the restaurant as well. I cant recommend this place enough, with its great food and friendly staff. Keep up the great work.

It’s not an exaggeration to say this is one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. The food was beyond delicious - I had a daily special, fresh shrimp with a habanero cream sauce. The drinks were amazing. I had the best mango habanero margarita the bartender personally described and recommended. There was live music (every night from 7-9!) that provided a special island ambience. On top of all that, the highlight was the service. The server, waitstaff, manager, and every single staff member was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. I highly recommend eating here at least once, if not more!!

I was recommended Javi's by another guest while visiting Isla Mujeres. The restaurant is along a narrow side street with limited parking. When we entered the restaurant we were asked about a reservation, which we did not have. The restaurant was split into 3 areas: 1) a dining area in the front that had a bigger table 2) an open courtyard with small tables 3) a roof top area. We had a menu in English. We started with an order of guacamole. It cane with salsa and chips. The salsa tasted OK. It wasn't spicy, but was served warm. The guacamole was really creamy. Mixing the salsa with the guacamole made a tasty combination. The fried fish was recommended. My wife had that with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a pineapple margarita. The dish was served with cold hoison like sauce that would have been better served in a small side dish so the diner could make the choice to use it. She didn't recall seeing it in the description. The same sauce was also on her potatoes. I had the garlic shrimp with vegetables and a Coke. The shrimp were seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing. The vegetables included cooked carrots, zucchini, and broccoli. Service wasn't too fast, but the server was also engaged with another small table a large party. It took a while to get our check after dinner.

Algo caro. Pedí ensalada de quinoa, porcion pequeña y estaba preparada con mucha salsa de soya, por lo que estaba demasiado salada. Mi esposo pidió el pesacado del día, estaba muy rico.

Quizá elegimos mal, no probamos los mariscos allí, pero los hamburgers sliders estaban salados, los nachos de arrachera estaban ricos.

Elegimos ir a este sitio por las buenas recomendaciones que tenía en varias webs pero ha sido decepcionante y caro. De hecho no había nadie dentro, cosa que nos sorprendió. Pedimos pulpo, pequeño y difícil de masticar, tacos de pescado que sabían a pescado de río y guacamole que tenía poco sabor.
