Came here on our last night in PDC (first time visitors, first trip with our 5 month old baby) and had a great experience! The service was prompt and friendly, the waiter helped us with our stroller, waved and chatted with our baby and took a photo for us. The food was very good, especially the Mayan Chicken- it’s a speciality I believe and for good reason! Very unique flavour and good portion! Nice ambience without the overstimulation of 5th Ave 👌

Very glad I came here BEFORE reading the reviews. This place is probably the best restaurant I've been to (considering value-for-price, service level, and food quality) in all of Mexico from Coast to Coast... 1) Value is really there with reasonable prices for the centro area. Expect to pay 200-250 pesos on average for a main course, though more expensive (400-600) and less expensive (70-90) options also exist. 2) Service level was top notch from the moment we reached the front gate, to being led upstairs, to our waiter experience, and even the busboys. Tons of smiles & happy faces. BIG shoutout to our waiter Cesar who really made this experience awesome. I hope management reads this and understands the potential in Cesar, who really understands what tourism & restauration businesses are all about. Cesar went out of his way to ensure that he can accommodate to my father's food allergies, even double-checking with the chef & coming back to us when he had any doubts. Nobody in all of PDC ever did that, and my dad has suffered vacation-ruining rashes from it. But Cesar was kind enough to make safety a priority. Big props. 3) Food quality was great! We had the shrimp burger & beef burger (had to keep it simple due to allergy) and both were really good! For the price you're paying, obviously don't expect a fine-dining experience. But also for the price you're paying, you get much better than other comparables, at least for the burgers. Burgers were flavoursome, chips (fries) that came with it were tender & with sweet paprika sprinkled, and the iced tea was made on the spot and *exactly* to my liking (Canadian iced tea is more lemony & less sweet than American Sweet Tea... This one was even better than typical Canadian iced tea) Overall, do give this place a shot. I'm very critical on where I go, but this was such a great night on the terrace with music. P.S. Our waiter wore the mask the entire time. While it was removed only for this photo at our request, he held his breath during the photo & maintained safety procedures.

We came here twice during our trip to Playa Del Carmen because the tacos were so good! We tried the fried fish and fried shrimp tacos, the octopus taco, and our personal favorites the governor and banana pepper tacos. Seriously drooling thinking about those two tacos. The service was friendly and fast. I can’t comment on the other food or drinks but we enjoyed our time here and would come back.

Good Mexican option in the centre of Playa. Just a block off the main pedestrian drag. We were a bit sceptical, because there are only a few mixed reviews. Seems that the place is new though. Service was excellent - we went for Mexican dishes and weren’t disappointed. Tasty and decent portion sizes. Also pretty affordable food and drinks options - beers and cocktails are very reasonably priced and a lot cheaper than just around the block elsewhere.

Cenamos en este lugar. Es muy tranquilo con muy buena ubicación. Los precios son acordes al tamaño de las porciones y a la calidad. Los tragos que pedimos estaban muy bien preparados. El pedido salió muy rápido. Buena atención de los meseros, que estuvieron pendiente en todo momento si necesitábamos algo. El ticket incluyó la propina.

Un lugar aceptable para comer mariscos o carne. Nada extraordinario pero aceptable a la vez. La cochinita estaba buena, los camarones algo escasos y pequeños. Pero es algo que veo en general de playa de carmen el cual es un lugar sobrevalorado.

El servicio del mesero Alejandro muy bueno muy gentil y amable Pedí costra de pastor, buen sabor y buenas salsas, solo. La carne tenían algo de grasita gordito y no me gustó eso Todo lo demás bien Si volvería

We just got four tacos al pastor to split along with beers. The server was very friendly though he pressured us to order more instead of just the tacos. When we got the food, it tasted rich and was presented beautifully. At the end, the server did not show us the full check--just the final amount. When I asked if it had already included gratuity (because it was noticeably more than what we ordered, he initially said that it didn't include tip, just service which is separate). When I explained why I asked, he then said it was the tip. It was a little awkward, but again, the food was great.

Came here for a second time. Great place to people watch and staff all maintained a positive energy for a 10 pm dinner on a Sunday. They had a great latin pop playlist playing in the background. The drinks, food, and desert were nothing remarkable. Chips and salsa came out last, and the tacos gobernador (as seen in photo) had too much cheese and very little shrimp. I wasn't able to eat the tacos (greasy quesadilla). I will say you pay for the location and energetic atmosphere.

Walked by this a couple times, was skeptical (as with anything off the main touristy strip) but surprisingly it was good. We needed something that had simple options since I’m recovering from food poisoning. Fast service, and good open-air seating. There’s a top level but we sat below. Got the iced tea, perfect that it wasn’t overly sweetened. I liked my pechuga de pollo (herb grilled chicken with rice and veggies). My bf got the gringa de pastor and chicken gorditas. We didn’t get to try the tacos but saw they are 4 for 70-90 pesos which is decent for touristy-area prices.

There are better restaurants around which are far cheaper. Food isn’t half bad, service is ok. Expect to pay the tourist tax here. Hound them for your change, they won’t bring it and you’ll be ripped off. TVs are broken but at least they had the World Cup on.

El lugar está en una buena ubicación, mi experiencia no muy buena y por eso no regresaría y no lo recomiendo ya que ni siguen protocolos de COVID, y al pedir mi cuenta me la trajeron sin mi consentimiento cobrándome el 15% de propina.

Es un lugar tranquilo por el día, la zona está bien, el restaurante está bien, la comida está bien, no es la gran diferencia a otros restaurantes de su tipo, acudimos y el servicio estuvo muy bien, muy cordial y atento, punto destacable, la comida está rica sin embargo, tuvimos problemas estomacales después de consumir el filete de pescado al ajo, ojo ahí, la ensalada César deliciosa! Al final, lo de siempre en muchos restaurantes de la zona, la propina que si o si del 20%, y el detalle menos agradable fue que te dan la cuenta sin mostrar el desglose, solo mostrando el total de la cuenta, en fin, recomiendo visitar otros lugares.

Pregunte por la especialidad y me recomendaron los tacos al pastor, la verdad son los peores tacos al pastor que he comido, llenos de pellejos inmasticables, si es lo mwjor no se como estara lo demas, los meseros con el cubrebocas mal colocado, no siguen protocolos covid y no son amables. El lugar es bonito y bien ubicado pero puedes comer unos mejores tacos dos locales adelante y 50% mas economicos.

No tuvimos una buena experiencia... Pedimos Limonada y jugo de naranja - los dos artificiales y malos Tallarines Carbonada - inundados en crema sin gusto a nada. (Pedimos que nos sacaran la salsa porque era imposible de comer y no nos hicieron problema) Pechuga de pollo - chica y aceitosa

!!! CUIDADO CON ESTE LUGAR!!!… Trabajo cerca de este restaurant, en Playa del Carmen, y vine a cenar. Al llegar me recibió un mesero de nombre Ricardo Mendoza quien me vió con el vestuario de trabajo y no me permitió sentarme en una mesa del centro, dijo que es una orden de su manager Otilio, y me indicó que solo podía ocupar una mesa de la orilla Cabe mencionar que iba bien aseado, y apropiadamente vestido, aunque con el vestuario que uso en mi trabajo. Después empezó a llover y me dijo que me podía recorrer una mesa… y yo estaba escribiendo en el teléfono … y me dijo de manera altanera… si escuchaste???… Le dije… oye estoy ocupado… es obligación responderte?… y me repitió la pregunta igual de altanero… Le dije: quiero hablar con tu gerente o encargado… él dijo … yo soy el encargado… le dije… pues vengo después … y me habló retándome … !!! cuando quieras aqui te espero !!! Finalmente ningún gerente o encargado quiso atenderme… solo vino otro mesero. Soy una persona mayor de más de 50 y realmente un mesero no me va a intimidar … pero es muy desagradable que te atiendan de manera grosera y con desprecio en este lugar y que tus propios paisanos te discriminen solo por ser trabajador del área… Este lugar está medianamente aceptable en comida, pero la atención, el servicio y el trato a los clientes ES DE LA PEOR CALIDAD. RECOMIENDO A LOS MEXICANOS Y MÁS A LOS TRABAJADORES DEL ÁREA, QUE NO LO VISITEN… eviten un mal momento y el desprecio de los trabajadores de este lugar con muy poca calidad humana y total falta de educación, preparación y cultura.

La.comida estuvo bien y los precios razonables. La puntuación baja es porque agregan la propina del 15% en el ticket(sin consultar ni informar antes) por lo cual te ves obligado a pagarla.

Mi visita estaba increíble hasta que en la cuenta me cobraron el 15% y ni me preguntaron. Realmente si se lo merecían porque la atención fue rápida y amable. Los alimentos super ricos y bien servidos, pero si fue muy grosero que no preguntarán o dijeran algo, simplemente lo cobraron.

La comida no es rica y se demora, la carne es de dudosa procedencia, el servicio fue grosero!, Exigen el valor de la propina, nos insultaron y echaron del lugar por negar a pagar el valor de la propina que ellos exigían, ya que en México la propina no es obligatoria

El primer lugar en el cual en la cuenta te incluyen un 15% de propina, una estafa!! No vuelvo nunca más y la comida medio pelo.

Buenas comida. Lástima que te obliguen a dejar el 20% por ciento de propina. No es que uno no lo pueda dejar sino la acción es lo que no me parece. En fin, existen mejores lugares en Playa. No lo recomiendo .

En realidad es 0 la puntuación. Horrible!! Maltrato. Nos estafaron. Nos cobraron de más. No nos mostraron la cuenta y no nos trajeron el vuelto. Y cuando reclamamos nos echaron insultándonos por ser argentinos. NO VAYAN!! NO RECOMIENDO ESTE LUGAR. EL MOZO UN MALEDUCADO.

The food was excellent. The service was great. BUT.....when the bill arrived, the gratuity was added in, which is ILLEGAL to do. When I told the waiter he said it is mandatory. Then I told him that I live here and know the law. He said, oh, and took it off. I left no gratuity because of the game he tried to play. I don't understand WHY they do this because their food and service are great. I hope management stops this practice.

Food was very mediocre. The price is high because it’s a tourist area but you shouldn’t charge that much for bad food. The service was amazing though, Alfonso was so nice and accommodating.

Avoid! We came in hoping to enjoy some drinks. We had a couple of questions and the waiter was rude when answering them. He told me the drink was made a certain way then i saw my drink being made completely different. I questioned it again and he answered with his same answer and i was hoping he wouldn’t continue to lie. Then the check was wrong and we told him and he couldn’t believe it. But he did fix it. 15% tip was automatically added without prior knowledge and at the point we just wanted to leave. Please try to contribute to local vendors that take pride in their work and are honest.

This restaurant recently opened up and it always caught my eye as the restaurant looks nice but that’s where it stops. All of our drinks had no taste, margarita, Paloma and mojito. The food was exactly the same no taste bland. We had the melted cheese, the guacamole and the garlic shrimp and we left to go have dinner else where. This place definitely won’t be open for long.
