Excellent. Small menu is always a good sign and this was certainly the case here. We went on a drizzly evening in September so the place was fairly quiet - DiDi the hostess was very friendly, our 1 year old daughter and dog got plenty of attention which they loved. Alaya was especially excited by the constant supply of orange slices! As for the food, excellent. We ordered house wine, a grilled meat platter and a grilled fish platter. Would have loved to have had 3 courses but difficult with a young child. Our blackboard (the menu) looked different to all previous pictures so it obviously changes based on the day / season - again this is another great tell. Loved how the place wasn’t too polished, a few old dusty bits lying around inside - conscious that this place would be glorious if sitting outside but inside was charming. I love the place,service and food. it is a house restaurant run by a sweet lady who is very warm welcoming. the place is on the lake in a quite area . the spegattii was another level. this is on of the best restaurant I experienced in lugano area. 👍❤

Love, love, love this place. One of the best meals during our Italy trip. Views and ambiance is amazing. Didy and the staff is very good. We order a fish platter for two, spaghetti with clams and mussels, and sausage, ribs. Everything was fresh, tasty and big portion size. Presentation was beautiful. Their white wine and espresso was great as well. We tried all their desserts- tiramisu, blueberry house cake, and hot shot kinder joy. my fav was blueberry house cake. We spent around 2 hours enjoying our lunch, drinks and beautiful views of Lugano lake. Must stop and must try resturant if you are in the area.

lovely little gem of a grotto. we were looking for a rustic, down-to-earth place for aperitivo but ended up eating there because Fernanda the waitress and co-owner was so charming :) she let us have a beer + snack even though it's technically only a restaurant. they offer typical non-touristic (= non-appropriated) dishes from the Valtellina region. The tarroz and pizzoccheri were spectacular. they use fresh ingredients and change the menu on the basis of seasonal availability. Prices were very fair. the place's vibe is super relaxed and authentic. Fernanda took the time to chit chat with all the guests, creating a warm atmosphere. it all got topped off with lovely lake views on a warm spring evening. we will definitely be coming back!!

We had a very very nice evening there with the best food during our one week stay at the Largo di Lugana. The restaurant is at such a nice spot, it feels like being in heaven. We enjoyed the great service from the owner. Certainly I can recommend this place if you love slowing down at a great place jut above the lake.
