RJ last brought me here in 2016 and we were glad to see its still fantastic. If you are bagel lovers like us, this is bagel heaven for sure. I have to let RJ order for me because I would get one of everything. We ordered bacon, egg, and cheese on sesame and salt bagels, and got 2 dozen bagels to go. The sesame ended up being the best for freezing, salt bagels don't freeze well. We also got a few egg, plain, and cinnamon raisin. I would relocate to NY to be near these bagels.
After 7 years on LI, my search for the perfect best bagel is over. Finally, I found the bagel with a just-right texture, perfect taste, proper seasoning. The dark crust with a just perfect sense, chewy interior. Finally, not bread that pretend to be a bagel. Not flat, not bready,, and finally, a bagel that doesn't require tasting! Hallelujah! Even the hole in the middle is just right! Just one suggestion if the owner wants to make his/ her bagels even more perfect: make the crust more shiny and crackly,, you know, the kind of crust that's covered in little microblisters.
Dropped off the kids at school then I was craving a delicious bagel and what’s better then a bagel shop for a bagel ? Nothing! Came here to have breakfast with my wife and we enjoyed a blueberry bagel and mini plain bagel with coffees. Very fresh and amazing selection of so many options of food, snacks and beverages. So many you’ll definitely find something you’d like to eat here. The bakery section is a wow factor but since I’m on a little diet I didn’t do it but if you’re not watching what you’re eating definitely go crazy. Highly recommend for people to enjoy breakfast and even lunch here.
As many have commented... Extremely overpriced. After purchasing $500+ plus for a catering event, they asked me for $.30 for 6 plastic bags to freeze some of the bagels.
I wish their bagels were better, the location is very convenient. I don't know how often they make fresh bagels, but it cant be very regularly. I got a dozen at 6am and they are all relatively hard with large holes. So you're getting more nothing plus a hard bagel. Do yourself a favor and try another spot (the one on Manorhaven Blvd is quite good). A 3 day old bagel from them is at least as good as these. And if you eat them when you get them, they're fat puffy bagels with barely any hole, decently hard shell, and soft insides. As one would hope from a NY bagel shop.
My wife and I stopped in for the first time for a quick bite. The board listed a bagel with cream cheese at $4, so we expected specialty cream cheeses to cost a bit more, but our total came to $22 for two bagels with cream cheese. That felt surprisingly high and wasn’t clearly communicated beforehand. The bagels were fine ( on the smaller side ), but at that price point it’s hard to justify coming back. More transparent pricing would make a big difference.
It’s been 4 days and I still can’t get over I paid $8 for a flat bagel with vegetable cream cheese!!! I even asked to make sure he was only charging me for 1… he confirmed. Then another $5 for an orange drink… $13 for a bagel and drink?! I’m still shocked. I hope he remembers me cause it was not the best bagel I’ve ever had (as I said to him when I handed over my hard earned money!) nope never again!!!
My issue is they significantly raised their prices. They tried to charge me $17 for a bacon, lettuce and tomato on a bagel. At least offer a side of macaroni salad and a pickle! I told them im not paying that much and walked out
I literally just paid $13 for a bacon egg and cheese on a roll and another $5 for an iced coffee! A total of $18 for an egg sandwich and a coffee! Unbelievable! talk about a ripoff!
The aesthetics of this business is on point. The menu and selection is overwhelming, I live in Queens and I was shocked at the price of two tunas with cheese on a roll, I ordered one drink and I literally paid TWICE what I would have anywhere in the city (46.25 for 2 sandwiches, one drink one bag of pretzels!!?)There was nothing special to the sandwiches, and they were not even toasted as requested. I could have gone to a diner, sit down with full service for this price where I live.
Absolutely ridiculous prices on everything. 13 dollars for a bacon, egg and cheese?? And it was dry and Absolutely horrible. Then they charged be 4 bucks for a Arizona ice tea that retails for 99 cents. Completely pathetic
I truly never leave bad reviews, and I always try to resolve situations directly with a business before posting anything publicly. I’ve now been emailing for two weeks trying to get some sort of customer service response, and unfortunately no one has gotten back to me at all. I ordered half a dozen bagels and an additional tuna bagel—but they didn’t send the tuna bagel; they just sent a container of tuna. On top of that, the price changed after the order was delivered, increasing by about $10–$15 from what I originally saw at checkout. The bagels themselves arrived stale, which was really disappointing. As someone who genuinely supports small businesses at every opportunity, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and handle this privately. But between the lack of communication, the incorrect order, the price discrepancy, and the poor quality, I honestly can’t recommend this place. There are plenty of other bagel spots in town that offer great service, fresh products, and truly value their customers. Unfortunately, this business has not shown that, and I would not recommend supporting them based on my experience.
I was very hungry, having missed lunch at work, and it was after 2:00. I used to get bagels here over 20 years ago and I thought, for nostalgia’s sake, I’d get a bagel here again. What a disappointment! I ordered a poppy bagel with butter and, as hungry as I was, I ate less than half of it because it was completely flavorless. It ranks up there with the worst bagels I’ve ever had. Never again. I would rather stay hungry. Also, not the warmest of welcomes from the staff.
I recently visited for the first time, drawn in by its bright, clean, and open atmosphere. The store was inviting, with a wide display of freshly baked goods and an impressive variety of bagels that looked tempting. The setup felt modern and well-maintained, making it a pleasant spot to grab breakfast. I ordered a bacon and egg, sandwich on an egg bagel with a large black coffee, which came to just under $14. While I understand prices can vary depending on the area and ingredients, I found this steep for what I received. In my opinion, a basic sandwich like this with a standard coffee shouldn’t exceed $10, especially when it doesn’t stand out. The bagel itself was great—fresh, chewy, and flavorful, living up to the shop’s promising selection. However, the sandwich as a whole fell flat. The bacon was sparse, the egg was nothing special, and didn’t add much to the experience. For nearly $14, I expected a more substantial, well-crafted sandwich that justified the premium price point. The coffee was fine but unremarkable, just a standard black coffee. While the store’s vibe and bagel quality were highlights, the lackluster sandwich and high cost left me disappointed. I won’t be returning, as I can’t justify paying that much for a breakfast that didn’t deliver. If you’re just grabbing a bagel, this place might be worth a try, but skip the sandwiches unless you’re okay with the price.
This place is a complete ripoff dont let them screw you. 14$ for a bacon egg and cheese and my buddy paid 25$ for turkey lettuce bacon on toast. Complete ripoff mediocre food...
I’m not sure if this is a new owner or what’s going on but all I can say is wow. I used to come here every so often and it was decent. Went here today and it was honestly HORRIBLE. I ordered a turkey sandwich . Half the amount of meat they usually put on a sandwich ( I don’t like a huge sandwich) lettuce and Swiss cheese. A vitamin water, small bag of chips and this tiny piece of carrot cake. All together it came to $26.00!! I couldn’t believe the price .. I understand everything has gone up but $26.00 was absurd. On top of it, the sandwich was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. It was disgusting. The Turkey was hard and slimy.. and two TINY slivers of cheese. look at the photos.. what is that?!? Place is a joke. Owner should take a little more pride or this place will be closed sooner than later
I am not from the area but I came in to get breakfast before work. It's 7am there's a morning rush, and there's only 1 person taking and making orders. Every bagel store I've been to there's anywhere from 4-10 people running the counter so they must not be getting customers I ordered a bagel w cc and the muscleman wrap. The bagel was ROCK HARD. AT 7AM. Every bagel store should be making FRESH bagels EVERY DAY. terrible bagels And the muscle man wrap. It's an egg white wrap with homefries, peppers onions. It was literally ALL POTATOES. No egg whites. And they got the balls to charge me $13 for it. Never coming back, terrible bagel store terrible food slow service.
After being a loyal customer for 20+ years, I will never be returning. I walked into the entirely empty bagel store and waited 4 minutes before even being spoken to by an employee, who was rude once she finally decided to take my order. They were out of the type of bagel I wanted, so I just ordered egg bagels. I waited until I got home to check the bag of bagels and that was a big mistake. All three bagels were rock hard and burnt (and I’m assuming also stale). They were completely inedible. I drove back to the store and went in and showed the same employee how the bagels she gave me were rock hard and burnt. I said since they were inedible I just wanted my money back. She didn’t even utter a word to me. She just sighed and handed me my money back. I also found gross hard black things in the tuna salad. I don’t know what they could even be; I just hope they weren’t bugs! There are so many better bagel stores and delis in the area. I don’t know how this place is still in business. Avoid at all costs!
Told the counter person that their roast beef chunks are covered in mold. In front of me they take it out of the display fridge and starts to carve off the areas that has mold grown on it and put it back in the display fridge again. Yeah no thanks. I'm good without getting listeria and food poisoning.
