Che goduria! Gustosissimi antipasti ricchi di verdure del loro orto (cosa assai rara), un piattone di carni miste che non siamo riusciti a finire, patate fritte e insalata, tris di dolci della casa, vino ottimo, acqua, caffè strepitoso , cordialità e simpatia dei camerieri (mai invadenti), tavolo vista mare, bagni puliti. Dopo il Sentiero degli Dei non potevamo sperare in niente di meglio. Grazie ragazzi, ci avete ridato la carica e il buon umore 😀

Una delle viste lì belle delle costiera amalfitana! Cucina sincera, ottimi antipasti con verdure dell'orto, vino rosso del contadino che scende meravigliosamente, carne di buona qualità. Conto decisamente alla portata. Qualità prezzo top.

Cameriere gentili e disponibili, portate molto buone con carne di qualità. Noi abbiamo optato per i primi, la grigliata i contorni (patatine e insalata), i dolci e il limoncello. Quest'ultimo è il più buono che abbia assaggiato in tutta la vacanza. Con gli antipasti esclusi abbiamo speso 50€ a testa, vino incluso. Ciò che rende particolare e imperdibile questo ristorante è la vista: impagabile sulla costiera amalfitana e su Positano.

Posto storico, mi ricordo che ci andavo con i miei genitori da piccola. Nell’arco degli anni hanno cambiato passando da un menu alla carta a formule a menù fisso. Noi abbiamo scelto il menù completo a pranzo per 50€ a persona che comprendeva un mix di antipasti, caserecci e buoni. Un assaggio di primi (buoni ma nulla di eccezionale) e un piatto di tagliata di carne buona. La location è molto bella e panoramica. Forse un po’ rumoroso a pranzo per la presenza in un altro sala della cooking class con musica alta.

Un posto veramente degno di essere visitato almeno una volta… inizio con il servizio… molto gentili, amichevoli e qualificati nel loro settore . Il cibo, ottima qualità, chilometro zero… poi capirete! …La location è molto suggestiva… sei praticamente quasi in paradiso…. La fattoria poi dopo pranzo è stato la ciliegina sulla torta! Accolti dalla vista mozzafiato sulla penisola sorrentina siamo stati ricoperti dalle più gustose leccornie della tradizione campana. Impossibile trattenersi per non rimanere sopraffatti dalla bontà degli arrosti. Se non passate di qui avete sprecato la vostra visita a Positano!

Un posto carinissimo con una vista mozzafiato sulla spettacolare città di Positano. Sono stato lì con degli amici e ci siamo fatti riservare il tavolo grande (stupendo in perfetto stile amalfitano) sulla terrazza esterna. Stranamente quella domenica gli altri due tavolo che riempiono quella zona non erano occupati e abbiamo passato una giornata fantastica in completa tranquillità e privacy! Cibo genuino, abbondante e di qualità. Menù fissi che andavano dai 40€ ai 50€ a persona con bibite, caffè e amari inclusi. Basta guardare le foto per capire la bellissima giornata che abbiamo passato. Un posto che veramente sento di consigliare a tutti!!!

€ Sono venuto a mangiare con mia moglie abbiamo preso arrosticini e tagliata insalata formaggio fritto vino rosso acqua sorbetto a limone la prima volta che mangio una tagliata al sangue di qualità veramente eccezionale (ve li consiglio di ottima qualità e cottura perfetta.) Tempi giusti e gentilissi.

Il ristorante è bellissimo. È un ambiente rustico, pieno di trecce di peperoncini, cipolle, aglio, cestini fatti a mano. Sui tavoli ci sono i bellissimi piatti di Vietri. È tutto colorato. La vista è spettacolare. Il giardino è curato e la fattoria è piena di animali. Il menù è buonissimo. L'antipasto vario e molti prodotti sono di stagione, la carne rimane il pezzo forte insieme alla patatine fritte sicuramente paesane. Il servizio è veloce, discreto e la cura è estrema. Going to La Tagliata topped off an incredible trip to Positano! This is the true meaning of a family owned restaurant. Everything was grown in the garden, and tasted delicious. Choice of red or white. The views were incredible, one of the best along the whole of the Amalfi. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Also the most affordable restaurant we went during our stay there. I'll definitely be recommending this to all my friends and family that visit the region.

We went to La Tagliata for dinner and it was incredible from start to finish. They picked us up in the town center and drove us up, up, up to the top of the hill, the view at sunset was absolutely breathtaking. The food just kept coming, and every dish was amazing. It’s a true family-owned restaurant that’s been around for over 50 years, with grandma and mom still cooking in the kitchen, you can taste the love in every bite. The atmosphere was warm, authentic, and unforgettable. 10/10 recommend, it is an absolute must when in Positano!

Ate at La Tagliata 2 weeks ago. While in Italy, ate at 3 different Michelin Star restaurants and NONE were anywhere near comparable to this restaurant. Food was over the top fabulous and owners were super nice and accommodating. And the price was ridiculously inexpensive! La Tagliata is more than just a restaurant — it honestly felt like we were invited into someone’s home. The setting is incredible, perched up in the hills above Positano with views that almost don’t feel real. But what makes it really special is the family. Grandfather, Grandmother, and Mama are in the kitchen cooking every dish with love and tradition, while the son greets you at the door like you’re family. Their grandson, Luigi, and Maximo were our servers, and they couldn’t have been kinder. Luigi even took the time to explain the history of the restaurant, which made the whole experience feel even more personal. The meal is a set four-course menu, and everything comes straight from their own farm right next to the restaurant. After eating, we were able to walk through the farm, see the vegetables growing on the terraces, and meet the animals — pigs, bulls, chickens, and rabbits. The highlight for us was seeing piglets that had just been born while we were there for lunch. That was a first for us at any restaurant — and definitely a story we’ll never forget. The food itself was outstanding. The antipasti could have been a meal on its own (I was ready to wave the white flag right there), but then came the homemade pastas, followed by a parade of grilled meats and vegetables, and finally dessert with limoncello. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the house wine (included) flows freely — which, let’s be honest, never hurts. We went on a Saturday at lunchtime, which I’d highly recommend. It wasn’t crowded at all, so it felt really relaxed and gave us time to enjoy both the food and the views without feeling rushed. Another thing that makes La Tagliata so unique is their full-day cooking class. It starts at 9 in the morning and goes until about 4 in the afternoon. You pick all your ingredients straight from the farm, then cook and eat together. When we arrived for lunch, we could hear the class wrapping up — music blasting, laughter, and a bit of party energy drifting through the air. Then, as soon as everyone sat down to eat, it went completely silent for about 30 minutes. That’s how you know the food is good — the party literally stopped until every bite was finished. Then the music kicked back on and the celebration started again. It looked like so much fun that we immediately said we’d book a class ourselves if we come back. Everything about La Tagliata felt warm, authentic, and truly special. At about $50 per person including wine, it’s not just a meal — it’s an experience, and one of the best we had in Positano.

We dined at La Tagliata and opted for the €40 per person light meal menu, and honestly, it was anything but light — in the best way possible! The meal included three generous courses, with an amazing variety of appetizers (so many options!), a delicious selection of pastas, and to top it off, a bottle of wine of our choice was included. In a place like Positano, €40 for this kind of quality and quantity is an absolute steal. The flavors were authentic and comforting, and everything felt homemade with care. The views and atmosphere only added to the experience.

This was the best food and best restaurant I’ve tried in Italy! It exceeded all my expectations and service was top notch, complimented by super friendly staff. The whole night felt like a warm welcome from a local family and truly allowed us to immerse into the Italian cuisine. The views and decor were also amazing! They also provide free shuttle buses to pick you up so that they really made sure to think of every single detail to make it as nice and smooth of an experience for the customers as possible. All dishes were 11/10! So glad we went there and will definitely be going back in the future! Thank you La Tagliata!

The best farm-to-table, family style restaurant in Positano! Located very high up in the hills - definitely recommend getting a driver/van service up there (restaurant provides one I believe). We drove ourselves, and the roads were even more narrow than in the main part of the city. The elevation is also way higher, so the drive can be scary. There were four of us - we had so much food left over by the time the pasta and meats came out. Everything was delicious, and the service was seamless - 10/10 would recommend.

We just had dinner at La Tagliata and it was an amazing experience! The view was to die for. The food was amazing and just kept coming family style. More than we could ever eat. My husband declared it the best food experience he has ever had and he has traveled extensively. It was shockingly good amounts and service especially for the price and it included wines and limoncello. I cannot rave enough. I almost didn’t book it because there were some negative reviews - but I am so glad I ignored those - and now I cannot even imagine anyone having anything but a delightful time there! The best!

We went without reservation so we were waiting for a while until someone waiter found us a place. We had such a good experience we came back the next night! We appreciated the casual, family-style approach after fancier meals in Positano. The view was breathtaking, and Tony, the Maitre d', who was hilarious, promised us the coveted corner table if we came back the next night like we swore we would. We did, and he kept his promise! We were visiting with friends and had a lively meal. Lots of families here, so don't expect a soothing, romantic atmosphere, it was quite loud! We thought all of the food and wine for 60 Euro was a great value and definitely recommend coming hungry! The food comes out quickly once you arrive since you don't have to order, but we never felt rushed. I think as a group of four we were given four different appetizers, four pastas, a very large plate of meat, an entire steak, and four desserts, plus bottles of red and white wine and water that they constantly replenished. It was one of the most memorable meals of our trip. My only criticism was the inconsistency of the buses/vans for pickup - you never knew exactly when they were coming, and once you left for the evening it was sometimes a long wait to get one back. I don't think we waited longer than 20 minutes though either night. and standing around waiting is a great time to make friends with others!

Trattoria con fattoria e B&B. Ci sono stato per la trattoria. Un ottimo locale con menù a prezzo fisso (oltre 50 euro a persona) che gode di una vista sulla costiera unica. Una cucina paesana di livello normale, non attendetevi sapori eccezionali ma non si mangia male. Le quattro stelle sono soprattutto per il panorama stupendo e per il terreno terrazzato adibito a fattoria che è possibile visitare e dove vedere varie coltivazioni di ortaggi e verdure e poi conigli, galline, maiali e un paio di mucche. Bello, non la solita esperienza. Obbligatorio arrivare in auto, un po' difficile trovare parcheggio vicino. Posto da visitare giusto una tantum.

Cibo ottimo, ma se vuoi mangiare solo una portata non ci riesci. Puoi dirlo in tutte le lingue, niente da fare. Evidentemente hanno così tanti clienti che non importa soddisfarne uno. Hanno trovato la formula corretta con i turisti, su due piani penso di non aver sentito nessuno parlare italiano. Sono anche chiari, all'entrata c'è scritto formula menù degustazione 60 euro. Peccato che sono in mezzo al nulla, una volta che sei lì difficilmente torni indietro. Comunque il cibo è ottimo e la vista spettacolare, se si è delle buone forchette e si dispone di auto, è da consigliare assolutamente.

Non c’è un vero e proprio parcheggio lì vicino, ma se si va con la moto uno spazio lo si trova tranquillamente. Parto col dire che la vista dal ristorante è super panoramica e l’atmosfera che si respira all’interno del locale è tranquilla e serena. Il locale è molto molto caratteristico! Il personale gentile, attento e preciso ad ogni esigenza del cliente! Il servizio veloce! Il cibo così così, nel senso tutto abbastanza buono, le verdure ottime, ma nulla di così eccezionale come credevo. Il bagno super pulito! Ad ogni modo, lo consiglio per vivere un’esperienza diversa a vista mare!

Amazing food and views! Everything tasted homemade and incredibly fresh, straight from their farm. Come hungry because they serve a ton of food, honestly more than you can finish, but every bite is packed with flavor and quality. They provide free transport up from the Positano city center, which is super convenient since it’s high in the hills. It’s a busy spot with fast service and bright lights, so don’t expect a cozy or romantic atmosphere. They also prefer cash and don’t accept Amex. Definitely worth it for the food alone with generous portions, authentic flavors, and a true Positano experience.

This review is of the restaurant….overall great food with clearly fresh ingredients. The meat course is a bit gluttonous and the restaurant screwed our shuttle up telling us to be outside 1 hour before arrival, but due to the experience and ambiance I still recommend this. Not to say this wasn’t worth the experience, because it was, but if this is the tastiest meal you have in Positano then you didn’t do a good job trying places. A pranzo domenica 9 giugno. Offre vari menù a prezzo fisso da 50, 45 e 40 euro, sinceramente preferirei decidere io cosa mangiare e non mangiare quello che ha già cucinato lo chef.... Detto questo, abbiamo preferito quello da 45 con portate abbastanza generose e di buona qualità, principalmente la carne, ma credo che con quel prezzo si può tranquillamente trovare di meglio. Sicuramente si subisce il fascino di stare a Positano e su un panorama effettivamente straordinario, ma il mio punto di vista è che quando si va a mangiare, lo si fa principalmente per il gusto culinario e poi per ammirare il panorama. Inoltre, la strada è particolarmente impegnativa per raggiungere il locale che non gode di adeguato parcheggio per le auto.

Mia moglie e io siamo andati a pranzo il 04.05.2025 verso le 14:30 senza prenotazione. Scendemmo i primi gradini e fummo serviti da un ragazzo rasato che disse di appartenere alla famiglia del ristorante. Ci ha chiesto se avevamo una prenotazione e gli abbiamo detto di no. Ci ha offerto un tavolo vicino all'ascensore, senza vista, dove tutti entrano ed escono dal ristorante. Ci siamo seduti e volevamo chiedere informazioni sul menu del pranzo. Ci ha detto senza mezzi termini che c'era solo un menù fisso e nient'altro. Abbiamo chiesto maggiori dettagli sul menu e ci ha detto che c'erano degli antipasti, poi pasta per primo e carne per secondo. Gli ho detto che non avevamo mangiato molto, quindi gli abbiamo chiesto se potevamo ordinare degli antipasti. Gli ho chiesto anche degli antipasti e mi ha detto che c'era un po' di tutto, senza sapere cosa fosse un po' e cosa fosse un po' meno. Alla fine ci hanno portato un sacco di piccoli antipasti senza sapere cosa avremmo assaggiato. Alla maggior parte di noi non è piaciuto e questo ci ha già saziati, impedendoci di gustare il piatto principale con fame. Poi abbiamo chiesto la carne e gli abbiamo detto di portarcene mezza porzione, dato che eravamo quasi sazi. Hanno fatto un errore e hanno portato quello grande, gliel'ho detto e l'hanno cambiato con uno piccolo che si può vedere nel video. Dicevano che tutto era biologico, loro e dei loro animali. La carne era fredda e, come ho letto in altri commenti, non ci è sembrata molto buona. Ho chiesto il dessert ma avevano solo torta, quindi ho deciso di prendere solo un espresso che tra l'altro viene servito in un bicchiere da asporto, un bicchiere di carta. Il ragazzo ci ha detto di bere limoncello e ci ha portato due shot mezzi pieni. La parte migliore arriva alla fine. Il comportamento del ragazzo ci era già sembrato così strano, molto euforico e gentile con tutti. Il tavolo di fronte a noi, nell'angolo a destra, con due ragazze, ha pagato il cibo. Abbiamo visto che hanno lasciato una banconota da 100 € e una da 10 €. Abbiamo potuto osservare come il ragazzo prendeva i 100 euro e li metteva in tasca, separandoli dal resto. Quando gli abbiamo chiesto di pagare, lui ci ha risposto ridendo che gli sarebbe piaciuto pagare in contanti, così gli abbiamo chiesto di pagare con la carta, dato che avevamo contanti sufficienti solo per le spese del nostro viaggio in Italia. Alla fine il ragazzo ci ha capito e ci ha lasciato pagare con la carta. Era dotato di cassa automatica, senza scontrino né dettagli sui prezzi. Ha detto senza alcuna prova che sarebbero stati 45 € a persona, dato che non avevamo soldi. Gli ho chiesto come potevo pagare 90 € per degli antipasti che non avevo ordinato e una piccola porzione di carne. Lui ha detto che è così e che normalmente costa 50 € a persona, quindi 100 € in due. In breve, non c'è alcuna trasparenza per quanto riguarda il menù e il valore di ogni articolo. Ti fanno pagare la stessa cifra indipendentemente da cosa mangi, senza dirtelo. In un certo senso ti obbligano a pagare in contanti, ma non è del tutto chiaro il motivo. Prezzi esorbitanti per quello che mangi. Vi vendono cibo regionale e fatto in casa, ma secondo noi è mediocre. Ce ne siamo andati con un pessimo sapore in bocca e la sensazione di essere stati presi in giro. Non torneremo e non lo consiglieremo a nessuno.

Restaurant did not live up to the hype. Prix Fixe (60 Euros per person) plus “Tony” the manager likes you to pay in cash (“and the tip is not included in the 60”). Disappointed by the food, there’s a lot of it, but it’s not that good compared to other local trattoria in this region. The steak course, which comes at the end, was inedible, I coudn’t even cut it with the serrated knife they give you.

Incredibile scarsa qualità dei cibi e accoglienza. Antipasti già preparati, alcuni rinsecchiti, riscaldati male e impiattati peggio con difficoltà per dividerli tra 4 persone. Anche primi già pronti e riscaldati male. Dolci secchi. Mi dispiace: uno di noi ci teneva tanto a farci assaggiare la cucina del ristorante che aveva gustato anni fa. In sintesi: tutti delusi per questa esperienza, ed in particolare l'imposizione del "menù fisso", senza poter scegliere il cibo a piacere. Per forza, avrebbero dovuto cucinare al momento! Tralascio il giudizio sul prezzo pagato non in linea in relazione alla sola qualità, per quanto riguarda la quantità ci è sembrata non per 4 ma per 2 persone. Ristorante da evitare.

L’unico lato positivo è il panorama per il resto è una trappola per turisti stranieri. Un menù fisso decisamente troppo costoso per la qualità del cibo. Personale non troppo cortese.

Molto ma molto deludente, cibo riscaldato da far schifo… primi piatti da vomito.. non lo consiglio assolutamente nemmeno ai turisti perché è un offesa alla nostra cucina napoletana di un certo livello. Camerieri scortesi e presuntuosi. Nella prenotazione a telefono mi è stato detto che della prenotazione non c’era bisogno in quanto loro non prenotavano nemmeno al PAPA, noi scioccati abbiamo lasciato correre perché dalla foto il posto sembrava magnifico.. ma niente di ciò è stato. Per me dovrebbe chiudere. Come ultima cosa, ma non per meno importanza, il prezzo alle stelle per un mangiare a dir poco schifoso, 50 euro a persona di cui un antipasto, ripeto, riscaldato è un primo che non era tale, il secondo non l’abbiamo ordinato perché avevamo paura di quello che ci portassero, il dolce lo stesso.. quindi non concepisco nemmeno il pagamento di tutto il menù, dove comunque abbiamo solamente preso antipasto e primo. In ogni caso ci abbiamo pensato dopo perché l’unico pensiero era quello di scappare via da lì. A mai più.

Antipasto discreto, primi piatti e secondi non li abbiamo mangiati. Tutto scotto e riscaldato. Per concludere dolci da colazione crostata di marmellata e cioccolato. Abbiamo richiesto caffè dato anche il viaggio del ritorno ma ci è stato negato. Per 60€ a persona mai più.

Terribile! Non ti danno un menù, quindi non saprai cosa mangi, se lo chiedi il proprietario si innervosisce e dice che o si mangia quello che dice lui o ce ne possiamo andare, ho detto che non volevo il coniglio nel piatto e cosa c’era nel piatto? Il coniglio!!!! Vai a pagare con la carta e sempre il gran signore del proprietario fa una scenata dicendo: che giornata che è uscita!!! Da chiudere!

Abbiamo cenato al ristorante ma non è per nulla come pubblicizzano sia per la qualità delle pietanze che per le quantità. Carne venduta come fiorentina ( 1 da 1 kg compreso osso, dividere per 3 persone) ma era immangiabile., unico secondo per 3 persone. Prezzo fisso € 60,00 a persona compreso i ragazzi dodicenni è assurdo. Inoltre non è agevole parcheggiare . Non vogliono che paghi con la carta di credito, fanno di tutto per avere i contanti il che con un conto così alto è veramente un disagio. C'è molto molto di meglio.

Il ristorante gode di una vista davvero incantevole, perfetta per una serata suggestiva. Tuttavia, la qualità del cibo lascia molto a desiderare. Si presentano come cucina napoletana, ma purtroppo i sapori sono piuttosto anonimi e lontani dalla tradizione. Piatti pensati più per turisti che per chi cerca autenticità. Mancanza di un menù consultabile e prezzi decisamente troppo alti per quello che viene offerto. Una nota positiva: il personale è molto cordiale e accogliente. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Nonostante avessi prenotato , non mi ha permesso di sedermi vicino la veduta , con due tavoli liberi e non prenotati. Penso che non ci andro' piu' .

Dire pessimo non esprime il vero valore del menù sono stato ieri sera 11 agosto in questo locale che ha solo la vista spettacolare ma per il resto è tutto da rivedere un menu’ fisso che sembrava una mensa da fabbrica il cibo viene buttato nel piatto facendo un mix di sapori per non parlare dell’atteggiamento di alcuni camerieri spero che questa recensione possa salvare i prossimi utenti e clienti per me questo locale dovrebbe chiudere anche per l’igiene della cucina poiché c’era un cane di piccola taglia che girondolava per tutta la cucina dove alcune delle cuoche gli dava da mangiare i prodotti che cascavano a terra visto con i miei occhi il peggior ristorante della costiera.

Big Letdown Our dinner at La Tagliata was a major disappointment, especially after reading so many glowing reviews on Google. My wife had high expectations, but they faded within minutes of sitting down. The presentation of the food was the first red flag — plates arrived looking unappetizing, almost like something thrown together without care. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t improve the experience. The dishes were bland and unrefined, far from the authentic, flavorful Italian cuisine we expected in Positano. What surprised us even more was the overwhelming quantity. For just the two of us, they served enough food to feed a small group, as if piling on portions could make up for the lack of quality. Quantity should never replace quality, and in this case, it felt excessive rather than generous. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. Positano has many truly excellent restaurants — sadly, La Tagliata is not one of them. Save your time and money for a dining experience worthy of this incredible town.
