Excellent breakfast. This restaurant was attached to the hotel we stayed at in Puebla (though not included in the stay). We ate here out of convenience the first day and returned every day thereafter because it was tasty and reasonably priced. We loved the Omelette Poblano and the Chilaquiles del Anafre. The service is also attentive. Highly recommended.

Stunning all around, humble, beautiful and tasty. Ordering the Chilaquiles del Anafre con Arrachera was perhaps one the best decisions I have made this week. The chunks of steak- perfect and juicy, habanero in the sauce- distinct flavorful and subtle, chips- crispy and fresh. Every element world class. Excellent service. We ate breakfast here yesterday, one of the only establishments that opened early enough for us. My omelette was just as good.

Great food. Ordered the waffles, cafe de olla, eggs and an apple/ginger drink. Atmosphere is nice. I had a view of the cathedral that is across the street.

The food at this restaurant is the best we had this trip to Mexico. Have the Pueblo mole (chicken) the stews - we had lamb and shank.
We were there at noon on a Saturday and we’re surprised that they still only had the breakfast menu, but it was delicious. We had jugo verde which was a mix of all kinds of goodness. I got the mole de olla which I cannot recommend enough. It was like a super rich, slightly spicy beef stew with carrots, squash, potatoes, radishes and who know what else served with slow braised beef shanks. There was so much depth of flavor I am salivating just writing this.
I have been twice for breakfast. I ordered huevos motulenos, absolutely delicious with a nice kick. I ate alone and sat by the window with an amazing view of the church San Cristobal. Both times the service was outstanding. Thank you Ismael y Ricardo. Highly recommend
This restaurant is part of the Hotel El Señorial (which is also a great option if you'd like to stay in the historic district of Puebla). We ate here 3 times and every time was a delightful experience, the chef here delivers a combination of deliciousness and beauty in his/her dishes. We just couldn't help coming back. The waiters and waitresses were also super friendly and attentive. All in all, if you are in the area, "El Anafre Rojo" will not disappoint, just drop by, no need for reservations (at least we didn't need any).
This is one of the greatest places to eat in Puebla. The restaurant it's clean and cozy. The staff is friendly and prone to help. The food it's great, tasty and colorful. The Chile en nogada is a major dish in Mexican cuisine. If made it right it's a delicatessen. The season fruits (pomegranate) and seeds plays a big part in this dish.
The food is delicious, mostly from Puebla but the menu also includes other kind of Mexican food, very well prepare and in creative styles. The environment is very comfortable and sophisticated. And it is in a great location in the center of the city. Finally, it has very economic prices for what you receive. Expect a bill of no more than US$25 for two people with drinks (non-alcohol), appetizers, soup and main dishes.

We had a nice Breakfast here, large portions. But the coffee that came with it was tasteless and we didn't enjoy it so much.
Food was good, nothing special The place is nice and has a very good atmosphere The location is good, right in downtown. I am not sure I will go back for food but is a nice place for drinks with friends.
Came for a dinner. There were so many delicious looking items on the menu that we ended up ordering way too much just so we could try different things. The food is really good. I wish they had half stars because I’d give it 4.5 stars. The ambiance is nice. The service was good too. It’s about a six minute walk from the zocalo. The prices are more than a lesser restaurant, but still not overly expensive.
The menu has an English version via QR code which is nice. They clearly mark vegetarian options although they seem to think ants are vegetables. The waiter said they make their mole sauces without vegetable stock and was able to offer us the three mole dish substituting chicken for cheese. That dish and the vegetarian lasagna” were delicious. I had a chicken dish that was ok. The service was not great. The waiter brought us the wrong salad - it had salmon in it - and forgot the water we ordered. .

I specifically seemed out the mole Poblano. A waitress welcomed me in. She disappeared after I was served. The mole was great but the rice was off. I pointed that out to another server and she took it back but never came back to check in with me. Felt dismissive. I wouldn't recommend based on service and a knowledgment of my complaint. The fact that it was so empty should have been my red flag.
