It’s an amazing place in front of the ocean. Sunsets there are impressive, the service is great and the waiters are fun and kind. The decoration makes you feel like you are in India or in Marrueco. Truly beautiful and cool.
Had a brilliant time here, the live music and atmosphere was amazing. I do have to state the the mens toilets were probably 1 of the most messiest I've ever seen, now this says more about men and their toilet use deficiencies. Saying that in the hundreds that I have used overseas, this is ranked near the bottom. If you cant change men and their toilet habits then it might be a good idea to have someone clean them every hour. For such a fun and lively place this would definitely make me consider whether to return again.
Absolutely fantastic Christmas dinner I had here, not only did I book last minute alone, Ramon got me in so I could join in with some Christmas fun, the motown style songs were fabulous, and retroblend are great at doing them. I was made to feel welcome the minute I got there till the minute I left and the food was lovely I really recommend booking next year ,thank you for a lovely evening and what lovely friendly staff 😊
5 Stars – Cafe La Ola: The most beautiful and perfect venue in Lanzarote! We chose Cafe La Ola for our intimate elopement ceremony and it was absolutely everything we dreamed of and more. The venue itself is stunning – it looks straight out onto the sea with swaying palm trees, beautifully decorated with the most romantic and tasteful touches that felt elegant yet relaxed, perfectly suited to our “just us” day in the Lanzarote sunshine. The setting couldn’t have been more magical: that incredible ocean-front position, bright natural light, and every detail thoughtfully arranged to make it feel special and intimate without being over the top. The staff were an absolute delight – so friendly, warm, attentive, and genuinely excited for us. They looked after every little thing seamlessly, making sure we felt completely spoiled and stress-free from the moment we arrived. Cafe La Ola made our elopement day feel truly unforgettable and personal. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, welcoming venue that will make your wedding or elopement perfect, this is the place. Thank you to Ramon and the whole team at Cafe La Ola – you helped create memories we’ll cherish forever. All our love, Mr & Mrs Hill xx
Had a super afternoon in the sun, with great entertainment and atmosphere. Super busy, and they were having problems with order machine (we ordered the tapas €23.50, waited 30mins, then spoke to staff, and the order didn't go through, thought they may have given us a bottle of water, but alas nothing). Clean toilets.
Out for an evening meal with my fiancé The service was really upbeat and friendly to all who walked through the door. The food was nothing short of amazing and was well presented and amazing quality. When we were there they had live music followed by a saxophone player that both had everybody singing together regardless of nationality. If you are in the area I think this place is a must go to.
Great family meal while on holiday in Lanzarote. Staff were excellent, going above and beyond to ensure you had fun. Cocktails were great. The saxophone player was playing downstairs which was great as meant to wasn’t too loud up on the first floor. Right on the sea great views Will be back
Recently revamping the little restaurant. Trying to provide more entertainment and dinner experience. Cafe la ola certainly provides both in spades. During a lunch experience, we saw them trying to open up the pool area. This has previously been blocked up, and everybody that we spoke to set the exact same thing. That's a liability waiting to happen. Two nights later when we visited again. That liability happened. They had cleared the pool area and filled it with water and it looked very pretty. However one rather drunken man, in a large group of 20, got up and did the worm in front of the singers and to the delight of the crowd. Then proceeded to dive into the water. It was a rather cold night and he was soaked, but that didn't stop him. As nearly 5 minutes later he did exactly the same thing. That was a while ago, and I wonder if they filled in the pool now. Night and day this place offers some great entertainment. Dependent on the band that's provided, the night we went was Motown music. However the Sea breeze can be cold during the winter months. So it might be best to sit inside or dress warm. That night All the tables were full, and the only ones we could get were on the seafront exposed to the breeze. And it felt extra cold. They don't provide blankets, which would have been a good idea if we had known about it. During the day and the late evening, this place offers some really good food. The view of the sea view is really. Food here is good. Stopping for a late lunch. Just good wholesome finger food. The tapas dishes are actually of high quality and some little extra dishes that make you want to try them all. We tried the classics canarian potatos, padron peppers, and garlic prawns. And wifey and Hubby would recommend them all. We also added chicken cheese fries and the mini sliders. While good, this is something the kids would love more and appreciate.
What a find! Spent a terrific Sunday afternoon here recently. Nice selection of sunny and shady seats on the terrace, little central water feature is lovely and fabulous sea views. Tasty food, good music playing and then a live music act, female singer & accompanied cello player started to perform. Wow! The singer was so professional and sang different genres. Very talented. Crowd loved it. Place was packed. Cafe Ola is a great place to chill out. Service good and prices reasonable. Check it out!
The most perfect wedding venue in puerto del Carmen ♥️ the venue is so beautiful, the food and staff were amazing! Ramon is just fantastic at his job, we used Kirsty for all Our wedding decor / flowers / signs etc. she was simply amazing, excellent attention to detail and got everything spot on ♥️ Food was 10/10 for our wedding. Everyone was say how nice it was. We did our day 2 there also. I’m just sorry it’s all over now. Can’t wait to come back out in May again.
Popped in for a quick cocktail. A descent mojito with a lovely view. *Went to visit 2 days earlier, but there was live music that was far too loud for the setting imo
I arrived around 1030 and only had train so didn’t really eat any food but the service was free. I did have to wait for a bit at the entrance and nobody came around so I just walked in and when I spotted a server I asked him what to do and what kind of drinks to order. I was by myself and he just suggested that I choose a seat it was very easy. The vibe was very relaxed. It was busy when I arrive at 10:30 and I bet it’s beautiful during the daytime because it’s literally next to the sea, although you can’t go down because it’s quite rocky but the view is gorgeous.
Always visit here when we're in Peurto del Carmen. We'd not been to the island for a number of years but we we're not disappointed, to find La Ola has not changed. Good choice of food and drinks, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Not the most expensive or cheapest but sensibly priced good food (properly cooked eggs). Good relaxing way to spend some time, nice music playing and at certain times there is live music. Also there is the upstairs if you require a meal in the evening. All in all it's well worth a visit. Easy to find, just down the slope alongside the Casino.
We visited this restaurant 3 years ago and had a lovely meal so decided to go back this year. We ordered the chicken nachos to start and wow they were the best nachos we have had! We both then ordered burgers, they were nice but I feel they could have made the burgers nicer with a brioche bun. The atmosphere was great and even had a gymnastic performance while we were there. We would have stayed longer for drinks if I wasn’t pregnant! The sunset views were spectacular!

Food 5/10 Service 4/10 Live music 10/10 Scenic views 10/10 Would I return? Maybe. But is expensive for the quality of food and drinks
Experiencia desinflada…
A mixed experience. Great service and environment, but the food and value didn’t quite match expectations. Food: We ordered the fillet steak with two sides of French fries, and the surf & turf with roasted baby potatoes, roasted vegetables (cabbage, red pepper, yellow pepper, green pepper, and zucchini), and an additional red wine jus. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested, but unfortunately, the quality didn’t quite meet expectations. The portion of fries looked more like a single serving rather than two, and they were slightly undercooked. The roasted vegetables and baby potatoes were decent; nothing special, but satisfactory. The red wine jus was disappointing and tasted like carton wine. The surf & turf came with a skewer of three prawns, which were enjoyable. Rating: 2/5 ⭐️ Drinks: We were a bit let down to see Macallan advertised but unavailable. However, we had a Johnny Walker Black Label and a strawberry mojito. Both drinks were good. Rating: 4/5 ⭐️ Staff: The staff were friendly, attentive, and engaging; making conversation and jokes throughout. Great service. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Environment: Nice location with live music nearby and a lively atmosphere. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Value for Money: Overall, the experience felt overpriced. The official website lists lower prices and a larger menu. For what we paid, we expected higher quality food. Rating: 3/5 ⭐️ Extras: Upon arrival, we were offered a complimentary drink that appeared to be a rosé chardonnay. We weren’t sure if this was a daily promotion or just a welcoming gesture, but it was a pleasant surprise. We paid 77,75€ Overall rating: 3.8/5 ⭐️
Bistro: we came to the bistro accidentally, we were intending to go to the cafe/bar at the beach front. The menu looked nice though so we stayed. The prices are much higher in the bistro, and the food fancier. The service was very slow, we had to ask to order and for the bill. Partners meal was nice (fish gratin) but my steak and chips was below average. Good bit of meat (no fat etc) but had no flavour/seasoning - very bland. The atmosphere came courtesy of the party going on at the bar below. Great views but wouldn’t recommend.
One of the waiters was very rude and there was absolutely no need for it. I was so embarrassed

The service was a complete joke. The restaurant wasn’t even busy — maybe five or six tables at most — yet we were still ignored. The waiter spent more time on his mobile phone than doing his job, while customers sat waiting. It took 10–15 minutes just to place a drinks order, then another long wait to be given menus. When the food eventually arrived, the order was wrong. At no point did anyone seem remotely interested in fixing the situation. The place is badly run, unprofessional, and clearly lacks any basic standard of customer service. Being made to feel like you’re “insignificant” as a paying customer is unacceptable. The experience completely ruined the evening. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Puerto del Carmen — there are plenty of better places that actually care about their customers.
