Se desayuna muy rico en el restaurante del lago. El servicio es bueno, el ambiente agradable solo tiene un detalle, se maneja por desniveles por lo que encuentras escalones en varios puntos lo que lo hace de difícil acceso para personas de la tercera edad o con algún problema para caminar

A great breakfast buffet. Even the bees were living their best lives! We had a great breakfast with everyone enjoying a wide variety of Mexican, American, even Asian food choices. I was able to enjoy a variety of fruit, vegetarian choices, yummy bakery items and more. My husband is gluten free and they had a whole area of food for GF. He also is lactose free and they had almond milk for him. Now very full and happy to sit & digest at the pool.

Everything was delicious and there was a great variety of foods available for all lifestyles. First time I tried pozole and it was really, really good. The sushi also gets my stamp of approval! The elote cake was really good as well. The staff are quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Don't feed the wildlife! Some birds might get close, just appreciate them but don't feed.

Buffet muy variado, primero te sirven café que por cierto estaba muy concentrado y jugó verde o de naranja, todo es refill. En el área del buffet puedes encontrar, carnes, carnes frías, cereales, ensaladas, pescado, makis, frutas, todo tipo de comida mexicana. Utilizan buenos productos aunque algunas de las preparaciones no son muy buenas, pero en general bastante bien. Tambien puedes pedir que te preparen un homelete o crepas El precio personalmente me parece un poco caro, 430 pesos por persona

El buffet es variado no todo está rico, pero se defiende, el precio es el justo por el lugar tan bello

Excellent brunch to get you going for the day. Make sure you either have a reservation or go well before closing time. The lineups are long closer to closing time, and brunch may be very hurried at closing time.

Some of the food protein options were a bit cold and not heated to the required temperatures. Sushi rolls were also made with very little fish but, plenty of imitation fish. Tried asking for a roll as it was been made but, sushi cook made us wait until everything else was done. We didn’t mind. Any refills on your drinks, you have to get up yourself and refill them. Employees are only walking around picking up the dirty dishes. We also heard that employees recently had a labor dispute with management and that they now have many new employees who are lacking customer service experience which is noticeable in all of their eating establishments.

This is easily the best buffet breakfast in Vidanta. It is open until 12:30pm so you can sleep in and has by far the largest variety of breakfast items. There is a wide range of cultural foods from Mexican to Asian to Western fare. Most of the food is pretty good. The meats are not seasoned or cooked as well as they would be in other restaurants and the Miso Soup is extremely salty but many other foods are quite good. I quite enjoyed the cevechie station and the fresh fruits and salads there. The staff come around with coffee, milk, and a couple of types of juice too. To save money they sell coupon gift certificates in packs of six so if you have a few adults or plan to come a few times during your stay you can save money.

For a buffet this was really good. A variety of food choices. The omelet station was awesome. You chose your ingredients they prepare for you. The other Mexican breakfast choices were yummy. Breakfast with a dessert bar. Perfect for my vacation. The service ice was great. Orange or Green juice overflowing with goodness.

Brunch Fantastic If you are in the mood for a wide variety of breakfast and lunch selections then this is the place to come if you're on property. "Things to Know" 1. It can get a little busy at peak times. It's usually busier between 9:45am to 11:00am so plan for a slight wait during this time. 2. There are what I would describe as three types of seating areas each with different benefits and drawbacks. The 1st is inside; it's fully covered and closest to the buffet area. Drawbacks are that it is quite a bit warmer inside and also much noisier. The 2nd is a covered patio section which is sort of 1/2 in - 1/2 out and is a good compromise between close to the buffet, a little quieter and feeling like you're getting that tropical morning outside feel. The 3rd is the full outside around the perimeter, where the tables all have sun umbrellas. This area was my wife and I's preferred area. It has the least amount of children and is the quietest and most peaceful. Also the views of the jungle and the ocean in the distance are most scenic. This was also the most temperature as you get the advantage of a slight morning cross breeze. This is however the furthest walk to-from the buffet area which can pose a little challenge if you are traveling with elderly. Pros: Food selection is enormous and the local flavors for omelets, house made empanadas, and salsa-sauces bars are fantastic. Service at the table is good and there are plenty of staff doing what they can to serve your needs. Cons: During the busy times the inside area is noisy and there can be large parties and numerous small children which can lead to a crowded cafeteria feel. Overall: A great spot for brunch, and if you're looking for a more intimate setting this can still be the place for you, you just need to make sure to sit outside around the outer edge of the restaurant.

***** Here’s What You Need To Know ***** - If you come any time around 9:00 or 10:00, be ready for a ~30-minute wait to be seated - They hard steer you to the $550/person MXN buffet - If you’re an 18-year old boy or a professional athlete, it’s probably a great deal - If you order à la carte, you’ll have to wait ~40 minutes for your meal (the process is the punishment) - For $480 MXN total, my wife got the French Toast Plate and I got the Omelette to Order with hash browns, refried beans, and avocado - For some reason, getting salt and pepper is really, really hard (It never came, even after repeated requests) Next time, we’ll pass on Café del Lago as a breakfast option.

Been coming here for 8 years now. Always a pretty good variety in food selection but service is awful. Servers are not bad just feel like they are way under staffed. Last Sunday we had to wait over 39 min to get the final cheque and get out. Was almost about to leave when the server finally showed up. This was after waiting till almost breakfast was finished to get milk for the coffee.

Qué les pasó? Hace años que vacacionamos en Vidanta, siempre hemos sido afectos a disfrutar del desayuno en Café del Lago, sin embargo, esta vez no ha valido la pena, se eternizan para reponer los platillos que se van terminando, los meseros andan demasiado ocupados y no están al pendiente de las mesas, ayer todavía faltaba una hora para que cerraran, se terminó el panqué de zanahoria, no vi lo repusieran y seguían dejando entrar comensales cuando ya faltaban demasiados platillos. Muy de malas!

$525 MXN (~$37 CAD) per person for the lowest quality buffet I’ve ever seen. Sure, there is a decent variety, but who cares if the food itself is gross. Just take a look at the pictures I’ve attached, they speak for themselves. The ambiance is quite nice so there’s that.
