Came for dinner. Served quickly. The gentleman spoke perfect english which was very helpful. Food came out fast. I got the fish filet with pepper poblano sauce and my wife got the same. Both were excellent and felt healthy too. On top of that, fair prices and they accept credit card. Highly recommend, will certainly return as soon as I can.

Sadly we were staying on San Salvador for 3 weeks before we stumbled onto this little gem just up the street from our condo. The restaurant scene in PV is full of good places but El Patio is one of the best. The whole experience was fabulous from the moment we we warmly greeted until we walked in the door. The service was excellent, very attentive but never intrusive.To my surprise it was easy to carry on a conversation in this pleasant, airy restaurant despite the fact that place was packed. The star of the show of course was the food. Simply put it was the best Mexican food we've had and we've wintered in PV for 5 years, and the prices are reasonable to say the least.

A wonderful place in the Cinco 5 colonia just down the street from the public market so always fresh ingredients and amazing dishes. The angel hair pasta with shrimp in coconut sauce is my favorite but, I like em all.

Thanksgiving Dinner n February was so darn good. I have never been here before but dam that was a great dinner

El lugar está de buen tamaño, no es concurrido por la mañana y te atienden súper rápido. La comida ni se diga, es de los mejores lugares donde he comido, tiene buen sazón, las porciones son buenas y no tardan en servirte. Lo recomiendo, los jugos son 100% naturales y frescos.

La comida es deliciosa, aunque el servicio no es tan bueno, vale la pena la espera por la comida y los precios son accesibles

Muy recomendable el lugar, bastante agradable y tranquilo. El ambiente es relajado para ir a desayunar, hay variedad de platillos y bebidas a un precio bajo; el señor que nos atendió fue muy amable y el servicio para ordenar y servir fue rápido, aunado a eso la ubicación es buena, al estar por la misma calle que da al panteón.

Para desayuno tradicional con super buen sazón ésta es la opción, jugo fresco, platillo ricos, servicio amable. Eso sí no vayas con prisa porque comer bien toma su tiempo y todo es preparado al momento, no es comida rápida.

my wife and I ate here for the first time last night. We really enjoyed it and found the food and service to be excellent. A very good menu with lots of choices. Margaritas also excellent. This is a nice neighborhood restaurant with reasonable prices and good food. I was able to find a couple of vegetarian options in the menu and really enjoyed the eggs Benedict with avocado and spinach. I did not see any vegan options in the menu. I would recommend this place for casual dining.

What an amazing little place. The best food we have had in Puerto Vallarta. We had the whole fried fish and the Mexican beef tips with tomatoes. Excellent service! A must visit while in town. Very reasonable priced.

Lucky for us, this great local spot is in our neighborhood. We've brought friends with us from other neighborhoods and they've returned to dine again, yes, it's worth the drive. The fish and chicken dishes are delicious and wonderfully prepared. The salads are fresh, everything on the menu is fresh. I've picked up dinner to go several times. I've shown up with friends without a reservation and staff graciously worked us in. Might not be a bad idea to make a reservation in high season.

Come for dinner during high season! My daughter recommended this to my friends and I - and after traveling for more than 24 hours, they were thrilled by the reception, atmosphere and, omg, the food. And drinks. Best Margaritas! If you're in Cinco or Centro - or would like to support a local restaurant with amazing Mexican food - come to El Patio for dinner. (Try the Carne con su jugo, a rich brothy beef soup.) Prices in Pesos!

Great little spot and the grilled chicken sandwich was tasty. My wife and I got the same thing but we will definitely be back to try some of the the other food. Give yourself some time as nothing is pre made so it takes a little while for it to come out. We got lucky and the place was mostly empty. If you are wandering around the Cinco area it is worth stopping in and grabbing breakfast or lunch. The staff was also super nice. Over all a good place to stop on your adventures

So impressed with our dinner at El Patio tonight that I had to do a review (which is very rare)! Very rustic, cute, comfy place. Friendly waitress. Had the watermelon salad, tortilla soup and the short ribs, everything was top notch. Great pricing also. Takes a little longer but more than worth the wait!! Also try the cucumber and basil margaritas!! 🤩 We will be back VERY SOON! Muchísimas gracias!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BREAKFAST... I paid 105 pesos (about $5) for 3 eggs, bacon, potatoes, beans, tortillas & a watermelon, strawberry & lime smoothie. The people are what make a place, these ladies are da bomb - always a great breakfast or lunch. The setting is relaxing with free wifi and comfy chairs and tables. Lunch runs about 70 pesos ($3.50) Highly recommend this place on a very awesome Mexican street in 5 de Diciembre

Our party of 4 came here for lunch. The outside is pretty basic as is the inside but the menus is large and the food is good. The floor is concrete, there are a number of glass patio tables and after a man ( owner? ) sat us, a young lady served us. Very little English, but we are all are getting better. The girls had tortilla soup. My buddy had a meal of beef strips and scrambled eggs. I had lasagne Bolognese. It was very good and very hot from the oven. A good size portion with lettuce, tomato and onion. Good stop for a tasty lunch.

Today had scrambled eggs with tomato and chorizo, potatoes and wonderful fresh coffee and tortillas. Really nice spot with outdoor dining.

A very cute dog friendly and affordable place serving mostly Western style breakfast. I ordered chilaquiles which are serviceable. The tortillas were crisp but the sauce was a bit watery. Coffee was ok but cheap. I could see this being a great laid back place to hang out for a bit if you’re not fussy on food.

A good experience. Off the Malecon so you get a more local experience. The freshly squeezed juice was fantastic. Great staff and nice owners.

Finally had a chance to visit for a meal. They work on Breakfast and Lunch, the menu is not huge nore should it be. For me is Huevos Ranchero, I have eaten this in more than a hundred places and each one is slightly different. The eggs were properly cooked, the tortilla was soft enough to cut, the flavor was good. I ate here for the first time about 1 week ago. I ordered the Ceaser Ensalada con Camerones. It was a very good salad, dressing was good and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. A pleasant surprise was a decent glass of Sauvignon Blanc served in a chilled glass and a decent pour. A first for me in PV. Nice people.

Un excelente lugar de desayunos, comida a sazón de hogar, servicio atento y eficaz, muy espacioso para cantidad de mesas, precios accesibles y acordes al tamaño de las porciones, variedad de platillos (hablando de desayunos) y bebidas; lo único seria la imagen de baños, pero fuera de eso excelente lugar para desayunar.

La comida muy rica. Pero la verdad el servicio que te dan por llamada esta pésimo. No son nada amables, te contestan de mala gana. Deberían de mejorar eso. No tengo tema con la comida, muy rico! :)

We have eaten many times at this restaurant for breakfast always very decent. Our first time having supper. I ordered pork tenderloin, and part of the meal got substituted with chicken instead of pork talk to the waiter. He talked to the kitchen, but he never ever came back to the table to explain we won’t be back

La milanesa de res está muy buena y tiene variedad de platillos. Solo deberían agregar una sopa o consomé de entrada para que sea comida corrida. El lugar es muy agradable y relajante. Los precios son moderados. La atención de la mesera fue algo seca, no sonreía y no fue amable. Parece que me atendía a fuerza.

The food here was decent, Everyone at the table seem to find it tasty. The problem lies in the Manager coming back and asking us if we meant to pay only for the actual bill and not leave a tip. We had left a tip we had left an 18% tip. She was 100% convinced the money wasn’t there We were (my sister and I) 100% Convinced we had left a good tip. We were a little stunned by the accusation, but we coughed up another tip I would recommend the Manager check out her employees for any loose fingers To say this was embarrassing, was an understatement It has taught me To always mention to the server, the tip is on the tray. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else

I was looking forward to eating here after reading all the reviews…I had the Milanese de Pollo, which was supposed to be breaded chicken. Well the chick looked like it was run over and the so called “batter” looked like egg batter. Came with rice and refried beans which tasted stale. Over all it was just a huge disappointment.
