A colorful delightful place, food was delicious and the service was great (very nice folks).
Ceci Cerrillos, approached us after our delicious breakfast brunch and made sure we had a good experience. The waiters were super attentive, the food was great and tasted homemade. They also have cute little roosters with names accompanying us for breakfast. 10/10 recommended! Vengan Aqui! Best service we’ve had in Tequila the entire trip. Cafe de olla, perfect! Birotte perfect! Menudo y lo de mas, SUPER rico.
Excellent food, very friendly service and environment. The birria is to die for! Amazing live music. Not very touristic.
If you’re riding the Jose Cuervo Train they will offer you several options to have lunch and I highly recommend this spot. The service is outstanding, the tortillas are homemade, the drinks are fresh, the salsa is delicious, the shaded area with fans on high all make it the best spot to eat at. Ask for ceci , she is very accommodating, friendly and thoughtful 😊
The wait staff was great! Attended to us right away and had a good sense of humor. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The decor was traditional old Mexican style. Charming, clean and relaxing. There was a choice of eating al fresco, or inside in a spacious dinning room. We chose al fresco which had a large lovely gazebo type roof, with a beautiful garden surrounding it. The price was good.
First time dining here on my way to the beach, they allowed us to bring our dog inside. Our server very amable young kid. Food was good a little on the oily side and the salsa de molcajete delucious and hand made tortillas. Second time back from the beach we decided to stop in Tequila , looking for a pet friendly restaurant in downtown , no success. We decided to go back to La Posta, we ordered 5 choices from the menu, the server came back two times to say, "sorry, we do not have" : No chicken soup and corn masa to make sopes, ah, and the salsa martajada made in molcajete , no sorry. The tortilla soup , not good, the sauce/broth very thick , it was like a soufle, and missing pasilla pepper and avocado. The panela asada with nopales not in the way they offered from the menu. We we're lucky the first time or we did not have luck the second visit?
Today was not the day to come. Service was not the greatest. Our tour said we would have Mariachi. No Mariachi in sight. We asked for food and drinks that didn't arrive. Food was not the best, the Torda Hogadas were good. But the rest was questionable, service was slow. Don't try the house tequila, you just finished going thru all these tours so they could give you a shot/copa of something we didn't like.
We had to change our dish choices 3 times because they didn't have ingredients. Food was not fantastic. Service is good.
Cold food and horrible slow customer service. We visited because it looked good on video, but lesson learned, hyped restaurants are not always good. I'm mexican, and I felt a bit discriminated here. We were practically the only table there, and they still took forever to bring our drinks and food. A family member canceled his order because all of us were already finished while his never made it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Bottom line, unprofessional host, waitress and mid food.
They served our Mexican food with crackers, saladitas, because they ran out of tortilla chips and they did not want to tell us. Someone ordered aguachiles and they didn’t have tostadas, they served it with crackers. Same with the guacamole. Have you tried eating guacamole and aguachile with crackers? We had 15 people and the service was terrible.
Service was not good at all. Not horrible but not good. The food took 50 minutes from ordering until we started eating and they knew it. When we asked the waitress why it was taking long and that we were about to leave she said that they were about to close at 6pm which doesn't make sense that they would close that early. We got there barely at 6. We knew it was a lie because they let at least 3-4 groups in after us. The display plates and utensil, while not meant to be used, were dirty. After the food arrived, it was ok that's the best I can say. Definitely not worth the very long wait. Also take into consideration that the place was not busy at all. One of our plates had meat that was too hard and when brought up they didn't want to take it off our bill and claimed the meat was that hard naturally and it wasn't the first time we have had meat like that. We know it's supposed to be soft so they lied to us again. There's many places you can eat in this city. You don't need to go to this place keep looking.
