Best place to watch the sunset in PV. The restaurant is the manifestation of the owners 7 year old dream. He’s still there overseeing the clientele and telling stories of how Puerto Vallarta used to be called Las Peñas or Las Peñas Blanca before it was PV, which means the White Cliffs. They also host epic Weddings and Parties. Do yourself a favor and go check out the view with a glass of wine or cerveza with the people you love.

Views? Spectacular!! It was a little scary getting up the mountain but worth it. They have a horse a dog a sheep and 2 cats. The switchback to get up to the restaurant can be tiring but worth the view. It's amazing. The poor waiter had to take care of all the tables and I think they only had on cook as well. It took a long time to get the food but wasn't bad. It was worth the videos of the whole bay.

Excellent place to go. The view is amazing. The service is a little slow, but they are cooking everything once you make the order (fresh). Kind of hard to get to the top of the mountain. Highly recommend for you to talk to the driver that takes you up to come back and pick you up at a specific time, get his phone number. If not, the server can arrange something for you. If not, he'll take you down himself!!😉

Update 2023: it's now moved up into the new part which has an even more spectacular view than before. Shockingly beautiful and just memorable. You can see old and new PV depending on the direction you look. Highly suggest you go!! The food was better now but slow. Maybe eat before you go and order a snack up there. It's worth paying it for the views. Photos are still from the old visit as I didn't want to mix them up. Old 2018: This place is not about the food - its the spectacular view and the nearly crazy adventure up to the restaurant... I still can't believe the well used taxi made it up that steep cobblestoned hill/mountain road - the incline was shocking, like there is no way anyone would have made it up there if it were raining! It's also undeveloped and a bit of a drive, too, so it seems you're going somewhere you shouldn't be... But no it's the right road. Eat before you go and get snacks and drinks up there.. like I said stunning views and almost an adventure drive. Bring cash.

If you want a real Puerto Vallarta experience you have to have dinner and watch the sunset at Las Carmelitas. The view of the whole Banderas Bay and Puerto Vallarta is amazing. Dinner was delicious and actually affordable. We had perfect Filet Mignon and grilled Dorado plus a wonderful bottle of Malbec for $80 American. There were only three groups that night and the service was perfect: attentive but not intrusive. The local feel was perfected by the the restaurant owner's pets, a dog and cat that ate dinner with us. They were the sweetest! But if you don't want company with dinner the waiter will keep them away. Just look at the photos and you will want to have the experience. The only downside is that it is so high up on the mountain that it can cost a lot for a taxi. It cost me $25 American, one way, from Nuevo Vallarta.

Visita obligada en tu estancia por Vallarta, una vista espectacular se puede apreciar desde la comodidad de una mesa donde el atardecer es un espectáculo. O si prefieres más altura te permiten subir al edificio en construcción para apreciar la siguiente vista entre Vallarta y Bahía de Banderas. Les recomiendo probar el ceviche de pescado estilo Vallarta muy bueno.

El lugar es super bueno, las vistas no tienen comparación con otro lugar de Vallarta, PERO la subida si esta fea, muy angosto los caminos, en partes no hay pavimento, pura tierra, pero ya que uno llega al restaurante esta bien. Antes el lugar era abajo en una casita como que con terraza y había una construcción arriba abandonada por decir asi, pero ya no, ahora es al revés, de poco a poco van arreglando pero con lo poco que tienen lo van haciendo bien El servicio es bueno, nada fuera de lo normal, la comida esta rica, tienen variedad, es bar completo, los precios se me hacen bien por el echo de tener esas vistas

Un increíble lugar, con una vista estupenda, te cobran $150 al entrar por persona, pero te lo reembolsan en alimentos y bebidas, el servicio de alimentos es muy tardado, ordenamos y tardo 1 hr 40 min en llegar, la comida buen sabor, y la atencion del mesero fue buena

Una excelente vista y lo mejor que te permiten el acceso con mascotas (tamaño pequeño). Considero que pueden mejorar la calidad de los platillos.

Getting here needs some careful driving, and doing it in a rented economy automatic might not have been the greatest idea - rev a lot? Once here though the views and service were really amazing. The cocktails are delicious and good value. The chips and guacamole are great. As was the fried calamari. The steaks are so-so, not amazing, but fine. Come for the amazing views, stay for the cocktails.

Must see once. The view of the bay is heartbreaking! As a restaurant, could have been much better taken the location. Margarita was good; however, guacamole could have been better. But the view is worth a climb!

We made the climb for a few cocktails and the spectacular view. We didn't dine. The margaritas were very good and we all loved the pico de Gallo. The atmosphere is a little rough and probably not for everyone. But if you're a little adventurous it's an awesome experience.

El lugar no tiene mucho que ofrecer pero la vista es inigualable. Ojalá pudieran mejorar la iluminación del lugar ya que es excesiva para disfrutar de la vista al atardecer por la noche. No probé alimentos pero el servicio muy bien!

It s a long way up the mountain. The gate is opened at 1:30 or so. Not much of a food selection, mostly just a bar, with mostly just a big view. It was built with good intentions, but never finished.

Margaritas were great, the view was amazing, the food was very so-so. The drive up was 400 pesos all on it's own (one way) and we had to make sure that the taxi driver stayed so that we would have a ride back, so it was not convenient to say the least. We had the battered squid rings and guacamole which were both okay. I ordered the fresh lobster which arrived overcooked and at room temperature. I also tried the shrimp scampi which was undercooked and had hard pasta noodles throughout. Supposedly, the filet mignon was very good. However, we had some fantastic company in the form of the local mutt, pug, and cat. Also, we were the only ones there which made for an amazing ambiance as we watched the sun set over the horizon. The employees constantly checked up on us to reassure us that the food was on the way and to make sure we were doing okay (which. The fact that we were the only ones there might have helped). I would advise visiting at least once just for the view at sunset, but order something cheap off the menu.

De noche se aprecia una espectacular, vista hasta el al aire se siente muy bien, creo que pagas la vista para comtemplar el paisaje por qué en cuanto acomida la Verdad deja Mucho que desear, sin sabor ceco, eso sin mensionar que son precios Muy elevados para lo que ofrecen, nada de presentación, ni buen servicio 😌 la naranjada si estaba de buen sabor, felicidades! por esperarse 👏

Tiene bonita vista pagas eso por qué la comida no está del todo buena no hay pagos con tarjeta cosa irregular El dueño súper mamón con sus propios empleados es bien sangrón sin mencionar que se le cayeron unos aros de calamar en la mesa cosa que ps no se tolera es comida y la devolvió al plato

Si pudiera ponerle estrellas negativas lo haría, no vayan, es una trampa, lo único bueno de ahí es las vistas, pero ni así vale la pena, es un lugar decadente y te hacen pagar $100 en consumo, ojo que con $100 solo te alcanza para un refresco o una cerveza! El servicio bastante grosero, el lugar sucio y abandonado, había hasta un nido de avispas, y la vibra te da hasta miedo, de verdad... te recomiendo que NO vayas, ahórrate el susto.

Hermosa vista pero lamentablemente es lo único bueno que tiene este lugar. El servicio es pésimo, ordenamos rack de cordero no había, lo cambiamos por prime rib tampoco había y el mesero terminó llevándonos al parecer lo único que había rib eye, por el cual esperamos 1 hora. Pusieron música hora y media después de que llegamos y solo porque llegó otra pareja. La vista es lo único que vale la pena vallan solo por eso y unas bebidas no esperen nada más de este lugar.

Esta carisimo.., la verdad obviamente la vista es buena pero los precios en realidad por las nubes..., se han aprovechado del lugar turístico, Si solo vas por la vista creo que hay otros puntos con vistas espectaculares de nuestra hermosa bahía y Puerto Vallarta, .... en mi opinión carisimo y para colmo pésimo servicio!!!!!, Suerte si te animas, pero no lo recomiendo!

Made a 6pm reservation for Valentines Day. Uber to the location and the gate was locked so couldn't get in. Glad I didn't leave a CC with the reservation. Once the gate was unlocked at 6:15 they wanted 1,000 pesos up front per person just to get thru the gate for the dinner.

Have been sitting at our table waiting for the server for at least 30 minutes now. Wont be going back. Didn’t even finish our margaritas. Need more servers, a host as well as a manager on site. A shuttle to the area would bring in a lot more business as well. Please take this as positive criticism! Thanks 💜 view was beautiful but experience and food would be better.

The view is amazing, but...is there a way to give it zero??? Server was very good, but food service was extremely slow! We were the only only people there... how could they mess it up? Well they did. I was worried they wouldn't get me a cab home if I complained. My husband's food was cold after we waited over an hour... there was only one other table there that came and went that ordered dessert only. I believe the owner was sitting at the restaurant drinking a beer while we were very dissapointmented. It's really so sad. We only have so many days of vacation. Wasted $100+ for dinner and taxis. They didn't charge us for the cold food, which was kind, but we just waited over an hour for it. DO NOT RISK YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this place. Only hope the best for the future, could be a great place.
