Amazing experience here! Great atmosphere with shade, delicious fresh food, and the epitome of friendly service. My husband got a coconut milk latte and we literally saw them cut down a coconut to make the milk! We brought our 6 month old baby and the whole family came out to ogle at him and chat with us- so very sweet. They even let us change his diaper in their house and gave us papaya and bananas from their garden for the road! Highly recommend!

My friends and I had a delightful brunch yesterday at this small Afro-Mexican owned restaurant during our trip to Tulum. The restaurant/B&B moved from its prior location and we’re so glad we still found our way to it. The food and beverages were so yummy! (Special mention for the super fresh juices & extra fluffy pancakes). The owners were so hospitable! They put love into everything they prepared and into making us feel super welcome. It’s a definite must if you visit Tulum! Note— it’s cash only. But they accept USD as well as MXN.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and met Cocco and her husband Diego who are wonderful people. The food is delicious and homemade with fresh produce, some of which is even grown on site. The dishes can even be made to measure. The place is very peaceful. You will definitely not go there just once.

Au delà de cela, Cocco et Diego vous accueillent chaleureusement et conseillent des endroits à visiter loin des sentiers touristiques. Cet endroit est devenu notre restaurant (matin et soir) pour notre semaine passée à Tulum. Merci encore pour ces moments partagés ensemble et à très bientôt.

I absolutely love this place. The food is delicious (I went back the next day for the same thing). And the people who own it are so sweet. I ordered a coconut latte and they make their own coconut milk fresh everyday when someone orders one. The lady explained how they do it and showed me what the coconut looked like. Since I was the first of the day, she even gave me the piece of fruit that was inside the coconut. I had the chilaquiles rojo with egg one day and the vegan option the next. My friend who I took back with me on the second visit had the verde sauce and he said it was some of the best he’s had. And he’s from Mexico. The atmosphere is nice but the people and food are nicer. I recommend you trying this place. It also has very reasonable prices compared to anything like it in the area.

Had the chicken tacos and the arrachera tacos. Have to admit, me and the fiancé loved them both! The fresh vegetables and meat are on par. There is a wide variety of items on the menu as well. Lovely little restaurant down a quiet street. Very reasonably priced. We had the vegan fajitas, which were delicious, especially the black beans. You can get big watermelon and mango juices. We would definitely recommend. They were so friendly and we loved the animals that were around.

My husband and I stopped here while vacationing in Tulum. It is such a hidden gem with a beautiful atmosphere and welcoming people. The food was excellent and very fresh. We loved supporting a family owned business and can’t wait to be back next time we are in Tulum!! 💕

Stopped here for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. There was a nice seating area in the shade with fans which was a nice reprieve from the sun. The food was cooked to order so it took some time, but it was with the wait. The tortillas were also made by hand. Our group tried the chicken tacos, arrachera sopes and Spanish omelette and everything was delicious. The food wasn't greasy at all and the habanero salsa had a good flavor and perfect amount of spiciness.

⭐️ Ein absoluter Geheimtipp – wer hier nicht essen geht, verpasst wirklich etwas! ⭐️ Wenn ich nur ein Restaurant unserer bisherigen Reisen hervorheben dürfte, dann wäre es dieses. Geführt von zwei wunderbaren Frauen, die Herzlichkeit nicht nur leben, sondern ausstrahlen. So etwas haben wir wirklich noch nie erlebt. Wir waren mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern dort – und wurden nicht nur freundlich empfangen, sondern mit einer Wärme, die man kaum in Worte fassen kann. Unser kleiner Sohn wurde liebevoll beschäftigt, sodass wir tatsächlich mal in Ruhe essen konnten (Eltern wissen, was das bedeutet!). Diese Selbstverständlichkeit, diese Kinderfreundlichkeit – einfach unglaublich. Das Essen? Super lecker, frisch und mit ganz viel Liebe zubereitet. Und dazu absolut faire Preise. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Für alle, die sich wegen der Sprache unsicher sind: Eine der beiden spricht perfektes Englisch, die andere Spanisch – aber die Kommunikation ist überhaupt kein Problem. Man fühlt sich jederzeit verstanden und willkommen. Nebenbei laufen dort mehrere ganz süße Hunde und Katzen herum, was dem Ganzen noch mehr Charme gibt. Man fühlt sich sofort wie bei Freunden zu Hause. Und was uns erst im Nachhinein bewusst wurde: Eigentlich waren sie schon am Schließen – und haben trotzdem noch eine ganze Stunde länger für uns offen gelassen. Ohne ein Wort. Einfach aus purer Herzlichkeit. Lasst euch bitte nicht von der unbefestigten Straße abschrecken oder davon, dass es etwas abseits der typischen Touristenrouten liegt. Genau solche Orte sind es, die eine Reise besonders machen. Sonntags ist geschlossen, aber an allen anderen Tagen sind die beiden bis 17 Uhr für euch da. Bitte geht hin, unterstützt diese wundervollen Menschen – ihr werdet es nicht bereuen. Für uns war es die schönste Restauranterfahrung, die wir je auf Reisen gemacht haben. I don’t say this lightly, but Chez Cocco is a must-visit in Tulum. Cocco and the staff are so great, the food is phenomenal, and this place should be packed 24/7. We ordered the pancakes and the chilaquiles and the flavors were incredible. You have to try it!

Chef Coco was a really nice place to eat. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, and they even had a cute, very affectionate dog. The waiter spoke English, which made ordering easy and stress-free, I ordered the chicken fajitas with tortillas and French fries, plus a banana milkshake. The portions were big, the prices were good, I ended up getting another drink to make up for the big portion sizes. 😎 The ambiance was solid and comfortable. I’m only speaking for myself, but the rest of my family’s food looked very appetizing too. Definitely check out the on-the-grill specials—I had a bite of my brother’s rib-eye and it was really good. It’s also worth mentioning that the place is run by two single mothers, which I thourght was an impressive achievement and just proves their hardwork. Overall, good food, generous portions, and a pleasant place to eat. I would reccomend this to anyone! p.s I am making this edit late I just wanted to say we came back for breakfast two days later and had some very good food (which I will show in the images below)

Such a hidden gem in Tulum! This place is a little off the beaten path and slightly hidden, but that’s exactly what makes it special. The atmosphere is beautifully Mexican coastal style relaxed, authentic, and full of character. The food was really excellent. My brother said it was one of the best huevos motuleños he has ever eaten, and I completely agree – everything tasted fresh, homemade, and full of flavour. What makes this place even more special is the owner. She is an inspiring woman who supports other women in becoming independent and also helps animals. You can truly feel the heart and soul behind this restaurant. If you’re looking for amazing breakfast, authentic local vibes, and a place that genuinely gives back, don’t miss this spot. Don’t let the dirt road deter you! We stopped by during a rainy day when there was less foot traffic and we had to make some detours to avoid flooding. Well worth the effort though, the food was delicious and it was a cozy spot to enjoy a rainy morning. My boyfriend got the classic American breakfast and was allergic to the bread which contains sesame, without any issues they were able to substitute it with croissant instead (no cross contamination). I got the pancake breakfast and similarly, it was a good serving size. The food is also very reasonably priced for Tulum! The owner was welcoming (I am a cat lover who spent all morning obsessing over the kittens and forcing them to sit on our laps) and she was happy to tell me about the story her kitties and pups. It was lovely chatting with her, and connecting over our shared love for animals. The restaurant is well maintained and you can tell everything is made with love. Not a spot to miss!

Me and my boyfriend loved it so much! So disappointed we found this place only on our last day! The food was amazing. My boyfriend had the American breakfast and the pancakes are really fluffy! Small family run restaurant down a dirt road ( so don’t assume your going the wrong way just keep going until you see the Chaz coco restaurant sign sticking out ) we were 1 of two families there and the host and her husband were extremely friendly and it was the best breakfast we had on our one week trip. We stayed about 800km away so we walked but it was worth it, the fruit juice and juice water were so fresh and the Huevos rancheros were fantastic. And the prices were by far the best we saw for the week in Tulum ! And their dogs and cats are so friendly and adorable, please go here and do yourself a favor or trying their food !

Amazing small family restaurant in Tulum, best food we had in Mexico for very good price! We tried the mixed salad with the steak burrito (juicy tender fresh meat) and the strawberry flambé (icecream with home made caramel sauce and freshly fried strawberries) for dinner and for breakfast the American breakfast and the chilaquiles (tortilla chips-beans-cheese-avocado) with the green sauce and chicken. Everything was amazing. The place is beautiful with lush green plants, pet friendly with Panterra the black cat and Pardo the friendly dog roaming around. The staff is so nice, Cocco the owner was very friendly, even shared some useful information and the "Mira sol" with us. In the evening they gave us mosquito repellent to use for free. Best place in Tulum!! Thank you so much! 🥰

This is THE SPOT for breakfast, lunch and supper! Insane atmosphere, amazing food, we really felt like family with Coco, her husband and her family. If you want authentic and kind people, this is the place to be. It’s not the typical Tulum touristy restaurant. First time we came here was for breakfast, the kids loved the orange juice freshly squeezed, the pancakes, and the dulce de leche crepes. the wife and I both had chilaquiles with eggs. I had the red and she had the green. Both were phenomenal. We skipped lunch because we were so full. Such a hearty meal. We weren’t expecting it. Later that same day, we came back to try it out for dinner. We had the Quekas de Mais with chorizo, it’s essentially a sandwich/fajita made with a huge homemade corn tortilla (i’m celiac - gluten free) and we loved this place. This is a gem in the rough. If you compare prices to other places, this is a great value restaurant. Don’t let the road deter your journey. Come walking or biking, or if you’re by car, just drive slowly. Fabulous! Go there now! We had the best breakfast ever, every day we stayed in Tulum. A little magical garden hidden on a side street, my kids loved everything about it. Super fluffy pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, American breakfast and a burger, all fantastic. The couple running the place are the nicest people! I was so happy that my kids got to meet such people. And the dog, cat, birds, everything just made the experience even better!

Had the chicken tacos and it was delicious. Chicken was tender and the tacos was full of greens. Service was perfect.

Mala experiencia. Buscando lugares en Tulum que te emitan factura de consumo, algo complicado. Desde de 6 locales localizamos uno que desde "un inicio me dijo que si emitía factura". Claro a la hora de pagar y pedir que me tomara datos salió con que NO EMITÍA FACTURA, lo que hacen para jalar gente, triste realidad. La comida es normal, buen sabor, porciones pequeñas pero bueno lo haces por la factura. Te puedes encontrar lugares con similares costos y mejor sabor en Tulum, mi bello Tulum. Buena atención de la gerente que apenada se disculpo y hasta me ofreció no pagar, la realidad es que era una solución a mi problema pero también no se me hacía justo comer y no pagar solo por que su empleado (mesero) se le hizo fácil mentir. Lastima del lugar que es grato

Este era mí lugar favorito de todo Tulum. Íbamos siempre y lo recomendabamos mucho. Hasta que el día de hoy pedí UN TOMATE. Y ME LO COBRARON 120 PESOS. Nadie me dio una explicación de por que. Perdieron un cliente y además alguien que los recomendaba muchísimo. Aprendan a cuidar de los que siempre van y no traten de robarles de esa manera.
