I ate at this spot three times. The shrimp ceviche was outstanding and very fulfilling. The whole fried Snapper was good also. I tried the black beans which were ok. Use the white sauce that comes with the chips and salsa on your salad, it’s really tasty!

Came here for lunch on a weekday and was able to get seated right away. We ordered the chicken and shrimp tacos ($150 and $200 respectively). The shrimp tacos were great, but the chicken was too dry, so I am giving this place 4 starts. The staff were very nice and the service was good. The vibe was causal and felt more authentic than other spots in the area. Overall this restaurant is a solid choice, but I wouldn’t go out of my way at to eat here.

We had lunch at this place a couple years ago, and I couldn’t wait to have their fish again. Sadly, it was a disappointment. The fish was overly fried, small and dry, not the way I remember it used to be. Very good guacamole though

El capitan is a bit hit and miss. Locals go here and prices are great. Avoid the fish taco though - it's bland, not very crispy and quite unsatisfying. Tostadas are beautiful as is the plank steak. Atmosphere is decent and service is occasionally friendly but sometimes a bit cold.

Guys, it was "fine". You don't need to go out of your way to eat here. We ordered 2 of the seafood platters for 5 adults. There's plenty of food and no one left hungry. Everything just tasted of old oil though. This is not a good example of "fried seafood". The shrimp ceviche comes out warm. Not room temperature, but cooked. Eh, it was edible but I'd likely try somewhere else.

We eat dinner at a fish restaurant El Capitan, we order a fish fillet al diablo and a fish fillet with garlic, they serve it with rice and some vegetables, we pay 300 pesos. Light, quite tasty, but nothing special, it's not the best fish we've ever eaten.

I was dying to try a authentic Mexican food and it was a completely disappointment. The fish was greasy and everything tasteless. The pictures you see is how we left the plates. Couldn’t enjoy it. You can definitely see that it has no love in this kitchen/bar. The drinks terrible as well. I do not recommend.

I had dinner here last night and ordered the seafood soup. A few hours later, I started experiencing significant gastrointestinal discomfort and have been dealing with diarrhea and fever since. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but given the timing, I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision, especially when ordering seafood. The staff was polite and the atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately my experience after the meal was not a good one.

Poor food quality. Chips don’t come with salsa, only chili oil and mayonnaise. I have ordered beef fajita, the beef doesn’t taste fresh and the salsa comes with chopped onion and tomato, no flavor at all. My wife has ordered seafood soup and she got watery stool the next day. I will not recommend people to come here.

This place is horrible!! Stay away as soon as wee ordered the guy returns and said I’m sorry I only have a fish for 1800 pesos!! On the menu it was for $180 and $300 pesos he wanted to up charge us just because we looked American!! Only he knew we are Hispanic and I won’t tolerate someone taking advantage of us like that. It was a party of 5 and I was happy to spend over $3000 pesos on dinner but he should have said it from the get go not after we ordered what we wanted !still we were spending a nice amount plus tip at the end he got nothing and we canceled our complete order and went else where and spent $4000 pesos!! It wasn’t about the $ it was him taking advantage of us
