Fantastic restaurant in an idyllic spot. Food great, service efficient and friendly. They were really helpful and let us put our bikes in a secure area whilst we ate.

From the coast and to the top of the mountain crossing through the town of Vélez . You will find this distinguished and modest restaurant with a genuine elegant and at the same time countryside, that takes you out of the Daily worries and it takes you out of the ordinary with its great dishes.... It should be noted that the asparagus soup (for a winter day) and their mixed salads are the best In combination with a great "Churrasco de pollo" they are the highlight of their menu for their respective Cooked barbecue flavor. Normally people would give a 3-4 ⭐. But since all together makes perfect it's impossible to not give a 5 starts. Very much recommended.
Great place, it has every thing, views, food, atmosphere, lovely little village in the mountains also very busy. We loved it . Will be back again.10/10.
Great dinner with an amazing view to the Andalusian landscape from the terrace. Great grilled meat and nice jamon. Worth to go place!
This was such a fun place to find. I had driven through Alfarnatejo a couple days earlier and returned to the area so I could drive over Puerto del Sol. I hit Los Pirineos de la Costa at 1400. The place is terrific. It started as a bar with a few tables, more dining was added, and then the glassed-in dining area . Great views of rolling green pastures dotted with oaks and limestone mountains above and around. Linen table coverings, wood fire burning, and promp service. I ordered the asparagus soup, served with a nice big wedge of lemon, fresh and tasty. My plato was delicious lamb stew, served with nicely prepared vegetables and the ever-present frys.

Friendly service and such an extensive menu that made it hard to choose what to eat. The dishes we settled on were delicious. Takeaway boxes were available for the food we couldn't finish there and then.
Fantastic food. Good choice of local produce. Highly recommend the option on the menu called "Plate de los montes", a mix of pork, black pudding, chorizo, chips, fried egg and grilled pepper. Not for the faint hearted

Lovely situation, good menu del dia at 12 euros loved the asparagus soup, had a bit of a wait towards end of our meal as the staff were serving a very large group as well as the bar,

Went here today for a family meal. Six of us. Booked for two o’clock, no one came to our table until 2.35 and we ordered a drink which took another twenty minutes to come. Eventually we ordered our meal which was not brilliant. Service was exceptionally slow, the restaurants was noisy , views were great , food was not the best I’d had there, so won’t be back for a long time.
Nice ambiance, but we cannot say anything about the food, because the service was not interested in attending us (it was more important to wipe the cutlery dry). So we had to leave.
Simply the worst restaurant we have been in Spain. Food was good, service unbelievably dieaboliclly bad. Cancelled the last drinks order as tried asking three times for it. 7 of us had menu del dia, 9€ each to include a drink, however they tried to charge us extra for the water and soft drinks, would never go there again, they took advantage and that is not acceptable, choice of dessert poor so we didn't order that. Such a disappointing experience.
