Celinda's is praised for its delicious Mexican and breakfast food, clean environment, and friendly owner, Nidal, who interacts with guests. Many rave about the generous portions and high-quality ingredients. Some find it pricey, but worth the wait. A few found the food bland or lacking flavor.
Tip: Fresh fish is available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Wednesday or Thursday for burgers!
Chicken Marsala and Carne Asada burrito are fabulous. Best chips anywhere.... I swear you can put them into a bowl and still great days later.
GREAT warm staff, amazing food. Coke machine is hit or miss, but still way better than Pepsi Owner is genuinely kind and loves people and his food. Chile Verde is amazing. So good!
What a find! Delicious food in a customer centric atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the owner takes pride in providing a friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy fresh and beautufully prepared food. The latter is the result of working with small batch ingredients to retain flavor and quality.
Omg Such Good Food! The Service is also Outstanding!!! All in all a Total 10 out of a 5-☆ rating I highly recommend the shredded beef too. It's perfectly seasoned I didn't have to add anything to it which is really amazing cuz normally I do. I'm telling you if you haven't tried this place you need to. An Absolute must if you like Mexican food. 😁
The burrito was fantastic; it was incredibly delicious. The staff were both quick and friendly, explaining their salsa roasting process and offering helpful information about the menu options.
Been getting meals at Celinda's for a long time. The owner Nadal knows all the secrets for making great tasting food. Highly recommend going there to eat or order takeout. Never be disappointed.
Love this place. Great food and an awesome owner. We go here probably once a week and have never had bad food or service. It's ALWAY GREAT. The owner is always friendly and helps make the experience great.
First time here since they moved to old Pizza Hut location. I had a crispy taco and an enchilada. They were very good. Only issues are they don't provide chips with the combo plate and it's a little pricey. But it's good enough that I will definitely be back.
The food is tasty, & the meats are well seasoned with an authentic Mexican flavor. The salsas (plural) are delicious, & the guacamole is fresh & has texture. The staff—Cheryl, Christina, Dylon—were hospitable. The restaurant appeared clean & sanitary. I recommend this place & give it 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Came for lunch -- hungry -- after a nice hike in Dove Canyon. Service was friendly, helpful and prompt. Food was excellent. Our group of five all had different orders (tacos, enchiladas and combinations). Each of us found our food to be fresh, tasty and of high quality -- at very reasonable prices. Give it a try. You will be glad you did.
We’ve been going to this place for about a year. About 100% of the time when I chat with my wife what should we eat today, and she is in a mood for homemade-style food, we end up for dinner at Celinda’s. Last time I was around I told the owner he has the best chile verde in town, and I was wrong. He actually has the best chile verde ever. It’s literally the only place when the chile verde is always awesome. Keep up the good work and the reasonable prices.
Lots of times when son comes by, we go get a Celinda burrito for dinner. Never fails to live up to our expectations. He likes the California Burrito and I like the RSM Burrito. We usually share and get two types of burritos. I like them both. The serving size is big! The prices are fair. The service is the best and they are always friendly. I take my friends there once in a while. Been going to Celinda's for many years and will continue to go back.
Tender, high quality beef. Everything was delicious. The salsas are the best in OC, flavorful and concentrated. Excellent service and everyone was so nice/attentive. Very reasonably-priced.
Best . Nachos . I have tried. It's not even the top quality ingredients or modern atmosphere but its the salsa that ties it all together in a beautiful bow- you can tell its handmade - and there are so much flavours that I didn't know you were supposed to find in one of the five different salsas available depending on what you like. I am thankful that an establishment really cares about food. Not to mention the amazing price and portion. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing food-get the carne asada! We brought our kids to try something new and was blown away by the amazing flavors and freshness of the food. Amazing chips and Guacamole!
Delicious food and friendly service what more can u ask for? I got the cali burrito and my dad got the enchiladas chicken and beef. We both loved it!!!
High quality Mexican food. Pricey and usually takes 25-30 minutes for an order to be ready, but worth the wait. They now sell beer on tap which is great - grab the Elysian Space Dust!
Great food Everything I order had a great flavor I loved this place
Celinda's is fantastic. Ever since Nidal took over, they have been spot on. Food is delicious, staff is extremely friendly and the decor inside is great too. Make sure you come on Wednesday or Thursday to get there exclusive absolutely delicious burgers!
Love this place! I can eat Celinda's food every day and not get sick of it. I think their carne asada is the best ever no matter what you get it in or on. Nidal, the owner, takes great pride in getting to know the customers and providing unique specialty dishes - steak, shrimp, fresh fish and even burgers. The jumbo shrimp are most excellent! The new location is very fun, clean and a great place to have lunch or dinner. The breakfast burritos are also some of my favorites.
Great place to eat. Chips are the best in Southern California. Fresh fish on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturday. The staff and owner are very personable.
Celinda's Mexican Food is still open for take out. They make really good food. Their salsa is fantastic just the right amount of slow kick. Not too hot but you definitely can feel the heat. I got the carnitas with corn tortillas. They tasted freshly made, I loved everything and I ate it all. Now you can call your order in and pick it up 15 minutes later. We went to a park and sat on the grass and had our own picnic. I highly recommend Celinda's
I would like to recommend this great place with excellent food and great service I had the opportunity to meet the owner even to sit at our table to talk very friendly the food is from another world... ❤️ 🥰 I have read other reviews from other people the prices may not be cheap but the quality of the food is worth it if you want something cheap you can go to McDonald's quisiera recomendar este grandioso lugar con excelente comida y gran servicio tuve la oportunidad de conocer al dueno incluso de sentarme en nuestra mesa a platicar muy amable la comida es de otro mundo😍💯❤
1st timer. Some of the best chorizo I've ever had! Try that burrito! 4.3.25/ Awesome carnitas! Being back the chorizo!!
Comfortable restaurant to enjoy favorite dishes with family and friends. Next time, I will try the fresh fish taco.... and everything else on their menu.
The food is bomb and at a good price! Also has a fun environment and very clean

Since I started coming here and decided to take my lunch when I'm around it's been awesome food! I haven't tried anything else but the Charro Burrito and it's always so good with the steak chunks, cheese and the jalapeño! Definitely want to try more of the food varieties they have. Staff are very friendly and the owner is a funny man. P.S. YOU HAVE TO TRY THE TORTILLA CHIPS THEY ARE SOOOO DELICIOUS 😋
Food was amazing. The set up with kind of weird. It was set up like a take out place but had a nice dinning room with a live band.
Excellent food. Clean. Happy atmosphere . Love how the owner walks around and talks to his guests. Employees are also engaged. Generous portions. Highly recommend any steak entree. But honestly it's all good.

Celinda's is the absolute best Mexican food if you really want good flavor. I love the burritos, breakfast burritos and I love that you can get whole wheat tortillas. The Chips are amazing! Even though they are not free they are worth every penny! Best Chips around! It would be nice if the decor was updated inside but the great food will always keep you coming back.
I loved the food here and the service by the ladies at the register and our servers. Although the head cook was too busy saying hello to everyone he knows, coming out of the kitchen tongs in hand, he forgot there are people actually waiting for food who he may not be best friends with. Other than that everything else was amazing.
The food here is delicious -- I usually get the shredded beef taco plate with rice and beans. I've also had their burritos which are very good. I've been coming here on and off for about 20 years and the service is usually pretty good. Although, it seems like the prices have increased quite a bit over the past five years or so making it a little pricy for this "tier" of Mexican restaurant. Nonetheless, the tacos are juicy and flavorful so I'll be coming back.
My rating is based on 1 visit. I ordered the Asada tacos as well as shredded beef tacos with rice and beans chips and salsa. The asada in the taco was one piece so if I didn't bite through it the whole piece was coming out. Wouldn't have been an issue to bite through but there was also a tough piece of gristle the length of the one piece. Didn't taste marinated or seasoned at all. Next was the shredded beef tacos which although juicy was extremely dry if that makes sense and also lacked any real flavor or authenticity. However other than the chips which were a little to salty and I stress little but overall their chips are excellent as well as each style of salsas, chili's and pico de gallo. I was impressed with each. The rice and beans were ok ,not bad just ok. The customer service was great they were all very courteous and professional. Another customer mentioned I should try the burger. Maybe I will next time and up my review score.
Very clean and friendly staff, but the food is way over priced. I had the 2 hard shell chicken taco plate and cheeses fries, $21 are you kidding me? The tacos shells were soft, if I wanted soft taco shells I wouldve ordered them that way. Not sure I'll go back.
I hate to leave a so-so review as the people were very nice. But the food… It was a two star. There is absolutely nothing creative about their food at all. The salsas are very bland, served in 1 ounce containers, half of them were frozen. The meat was ok, the dishes were just basic. I can take tortillas at home and throw the same ingredients in and get the same basic dishes. There is absolutely nothing here that would bring me back. And like everything else these days, overpriced.
Food was great but serving sizes were not. For 2 shrimp tacos, the place only gave me 2 baby shrimps and little to no lettuce. Also we ordered the carnitas combo and it had little to no beans and rice as well.
Food is painfully mid. Price point suggests it'll be fire, but it was a pretty big let down. Employees are nice enough, but forgettable. I wouldn't recommend nor come back here.
Got two soft tacos. Good portions but the flavor was seriously lacking. The ingredients tasted dry. Service was solid and the price was okay, like $10.

Most recent price increase takes this average quality food out of my 3-4x weekly visit rotation. My breakfast menu item went from $9.50 to $12.50. Staff is very, very nice, but not enough to bring me back. I can't see many others sticking around after next time ringed up at these prices.
By looks at the outside you would think this place was great, but it's not. There was a very unpleasant smell on the interior, a bit like rancid oil, so I got my order to go. The shredded chicken they use in the crispy tacos is so wet, if you wait more than a few minutes to eat the tacos, they'll be completely waterlogged. The beans and rice were equally disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be back. If you want the best crispy chicken tacos of your life go to El Torero in Corona. They have some of the best Mexican food I've ever had in my almost 50 years of living in Southern California.
I was really hoping to love the food, given the majority of the reviews but the food just wasn't all that good. I ordered a carne asada torta - the meat was almost bland, tough to chew, and cut into large pieces, which seemed really strange. I would hope other items on the menu are better, or maybe they were having an off day. I will say the service was great, but I don't think I'll return.
Food presentation was very nice. Lunch was lukewarm. Beef Taco was good but small. It was as a “No” the cheese enchilada. Didn’t care for the sauce. Loved the beans and rice. Small portions—not good for a hearty appetite….lady was kind of snotty when i asked about chips and salsa—there was a charge for that. salsa was good. I probably won’t return
The food was good but the price too high for the small portion. Service was slow even when I was the only one there. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla. The atmosphere very relaxed. I liked their outside patio
Food was okay but definitely not worth the price. Specifically the Floutas were not crispy under the lettuce and tomato toppings and shredded beef inside lacked flavor. Customer service vibe for us was off right from the start as we were the only ones to walk in that weren't greeted and no it wasn't because they were busy. When I mentioned it was our first time there while getting a menu from the counter there was no offer to answer questions if we had any. Also the for the man who was working there that was super talkative with all the other guest, It is very off-putting that you don't have that same energy with all your customers. The guacamole, chips and sauces were good but not as spicy as the staff lead us to think, I mean they warned us 3 or 4 times about the heat of the "hot" sauce for literally no reason. Again, not worth a $100.00 bill for a family of 4. Will not be going back.

I got the fajita grilled chicken burrito for lunch. It doesn’t have any flavor at all. Onions and peppers were not cooked properly. It was like eating right out of the supermarket. It had barely any chicken in the burrito. Never ever this place again!
Interior looked nice, but they didn't have what was on their menu or in the Google photos. Left and went somewhere else with more consistency.
Ordered two breakfast burritos added beans and potatoes . Got them with nearly no beans or eggs overloaded with green bell peppers hash browns and greasy greasy so much that we ended putting them in the trash. Usually potatoes are pieces of potatoes and hash browns are two different types. Spent $37 dollars on those two which I thought was expensive but did not mind thinking this place will be good. Unfortunately I was very disappointed no good food and long wait.
Guy taking my order called me rude when my husband called me while taking my order. I am not a child that needs admonishing. I am a hard to hear person who has to be by my phone for emergencies. Our power has been out due to the fires and I have had no power or even hot water at our home. I came here to relax for a tiny bit and instead get chastised for having a a call from my husband during emergency conditions. I took my order to go and he never apologized even after telling him my power was shut off for 3 days. Then said in front of other customers that I was rude again. Customer service sucks there. Plus the medium salsa was terrible and pasty and the chicken was rubbery.. Probably from sitting out Hope I don’t get sick.
