Delicious espresso drinks. Power available and fast Wi-Fi. Friendly staff.
This place instantly became one of my favorite coffee shops in all of SB county! I had the best iced London fog tea latte. I also enjoyed their pistachio lavender croissant; it’s made fresh daily. It does get packed during lunch hour, but still worth the wait. I like writing notes here, and enjoy listening to their playlist.
Coffee and other seasonal drinks are great, definitely reccomend the strawberry matcha or the dirty lavender chai. The shop itself is cute too, but not the best place to actually sit down and have a conversation or do homework since it can't really accommodate all the people that want to do that. It isn't their fault, but yes the store is kind of tiny and is usually really busy resulting in a claustrophobic atmosphere. Great Coffee and vegan snack options, though, and the workers are very helpful and knowledgeable about the drinks.
Slow Bloom Coffee is such a gem in Redlands! This little coffee shop has everything you could want—amazing coffee, a cozy vibe, and plenty of coworking space. Their coffee is easily some of the best I’ve had, with every cup tasting like it was made with care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is both cute and functional, perfect for catching up with a friend or getting some work done.
This is a really cool spot. The attention to detail is noticeable. I really enjoyed the coffee as I was able to taste the key notes with a simple flat white. I seen many people enjoying the spot and I did as well with the outside seating.
The coffee is the best I've ever had, honestly. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It's a cute space, but I hope one day they'll be able to increase the size of their building or find a larger one to allow more indoor seating. I recommend Slow Bloom often and buy their coffee beans and gift cards to give as presents.
What a wonderful welcoming place. We walked in for a coffee and pastry and fell in love with the place and service. People were friendly and had smiles on their faces. We will be coming back
The drinks are great and the baked goods are almost too pretty to eat and taste amazing. Great atmosphere and community.
Very chill vibe. University students doing school work, older people chatting. Two outside patios and a few tables inside. The barista (owner?) is a helpful and quiet throwback to the 60's even though he's young. Coffee is delicious
Had an almond milk latte. Friend had chai with a shot of espresso. Completely delicious. No bitterness. Very nice counter help. Decent ambiance. Clean restroom. Best coffee I've had in weeks.
We came to Slow Bloom for their pop up event which was stellar. The pop ups were run by amazing humans and they fit the mission of Slow Bloom perfectly. We enjoyed the time under the umbrellas and purchased some amazing items for the holiday season. The line to get drinks was longgggg so the coffee must be good for a line that long. Maybe we'll come back when it isn't so busy.
This place is a Paradise In the sea of coffee shops. If you would like a connection to your coffee that makes you feel like every sip should be savored this is the coffee shop for you. Slow bloom brings the flavors of the Cafétal to you. Everyone who works here is cohesively delivering such rich and creamy espresso with such consistency you would think it’s impossible. Their drinks change with the seasons and their customer base grows by the day. If you have the chance slow down, drop by and have a cup. It’ll be worth your time. Thanks for the consistency, I like ur espresso.
Fantastic experience. Stopped in for a coffee before heading up Big Bear Mountain. Sean recommended the home-made pistachio cold brew and let me tell you - It was FANTASTIC! We went back the next day to support their local artist bazaar featuring hand-crafted clothing, and accessories, henna tattoos and balloon animals. Great people, great vibe, great food and drinks. You really gotta try it.
Some of the best matcha i've had. Very friendly staff, quick, plenty of seating
You've probably tasted coffee from Brazil, Columbia, and even that special roast from Ethiopia. But have you ever had coffee right from a single coffee grower? Have you tasted Danilo Sanchez’s coffee? Danilo's Honduran coffee offers notes of raspberry sorbet, melon, and champagne. My brother brought me to this tiny almost out-of-the-way coffee shop on the north side of the I-10 freeway in downtown Redlands. The Slow Bloom Coffee Cooperative obtains their coffee almost directly from the grower, from the great coffee growing areas of the world. And they remember who grew it. I was chatting with my brother, took a sip of my Americano, and suddenly stopped talking. I told my brother “This is a damn fine cup of coffee!“ When have you tasted a coffee that is so good it stopped your conversation? I had asked for an Americano made from a blend called Arm in Arm. This one is a flavorful blend of Honduran and Ethiopian coffees, with flavor notes of milk chocolate, mixed berries, and blood orange! This is worth stopping your conversation for. So stop in to the Slow Bloom Coffee Cooperative. Get a cup of Danilo’s and try to have a chat with a friend.
Lovely coffee house with delicious coffee and great outdoor vibe. Love that is 100% worker owned— you can feel it.
Busy place! Service was friendly and good. My Cappuccino order was tasty and thick!
Love this place; great coffee, friendly employees/owners and delicious pastries. Also, cool merch. I also like the way the employees/owners overcame adversity and banded together to open such a cool coffee shop. My go to coffee shop when I'm anywhere near Redlands.
Overall I’d give Slow Bloom Coffee a 9/10. The employees are very friendly and we’re happy to offer up a suggestion when I asked. (The everything cheese croissant was great, thanks for the suggestion!) I ordered a vanilla latte which wasn’t overpowered with sweetness like many coffee shops nowadays. Their espresso is very smooth with fruity notes. Plenty of parking in the parking lot and streets right next to Slow Bloom. There is lots of indoor and outdoor seating space. The only negative thing I have to say is the music was a little bit loud which makes it hard to have conversation.
This place…you walk in and you gaze upon a counter case display filled with many pasties. It’s colorful, beautiful works of edible art. Good luck trying to decide on one piece of these. I always leave with 3 or 4. The coffee is absolutely some of the best in town. You are greeted immediately as you walk in the door but so distracted by the goodies it’s hard to respond. They are very friendly here and you know there is passion for their pastries.
This place is pretty cute. It definitely seemed hip & the place to hang & get a good drink. The barista took his time with my cappuccino pour which I always appreciate seeing. I ordered a cappuccino & they asked me what size (lol) which being the traditional coffee enthusiast I am…I usually think it’s a red flag for the coffee shop… but no judgement here ..I ordered a small & it was good!
I love this place. Feels like a true community coffee shop but with the aesthetic and quality you expect from a full fledged specialty establishment. While their name starts with Slow, I can honestly say nothing has ever been maddeningly slow or disappointing like you get with other specialty shops. They somehow maintain quality drinks, service, and food while pushing out your order just a few minutes after you complete your order. The orange tables are iconic at this point and the punch card is a must, if only just to keep as a memento. I typically get hojicha these days and it pairs really nicely with the Date Maamoul which is a buttery and pleasantly light but perfectly sweet pair of cookies with
Cute cafe in Redlands. They had a pride flag in front of the coffee house 💖😭 . We came here for the pastries but they were sold out by 4pm on the memorial weekend. I picked up the butter pecan latte for the road , which was so delicious ! They got lots of seating space indoors and outdoors - so many people were working from inside the cafe
Slow Bloom is located in Redlands- small coffee shop- GREAT VIBES Their donuts are definitely a must try- I have had the mango+sumac and it was the best thing ever. Coffee wise- they are up there in the coffee game - not only do they have unique flavors they also carry good coffee that is strong and flavorful Their daydream matcha is also a MUST try Service: baristas are fast and attentive - wait time is never longer than a few minutes even on their busiest days It is a trendy coffee shop which means the price will be from $6-$8 depending on the drink I still think it’s worth to try Working space is great too FREE WIFI AVAILABLE AS WELL
I got an oat milk latte and banana bread and they were both soooo delicious! Super moist banana bread. Love that they don't charge extra for alternative milks and they have some vegan treats! Also great environment and friendly staff! Will definitely be coming back next time i'm in the area
Slow Bloom offers some of the best coffee in the area! The staff is always friendly, and the space has a cozy, inviting vibe. It’s the perfect spot to relax or grab a quick coffee. The only downside is the limited parking, so you might have to park a little further away at times
BEST coffee & coffee shop in Redlands. I have visited many times, and my favorite items so far are the iced lavender vanilla latte (just the right amount of lavender), vanilla latte (a delicious classic), and cold brew (perfectly smooth & delicious). The lavender vanilla syrup has been replaced with rose cardamom for the holiday season (very yummy and I posted the latest menu - last photo). I have been searching for a stellar 3rd wave coffee roaster since moving from the Bay area, and Slow Bloom has all the right ingredients - delicious coffee, friendly staff, cool coffee shop atmosphere, and it's a worker-owned collective, so you are supporting a locally owned small business. If you love good coffee and are a local or just driving through Redlands, treat yourself and visit Slow Bloom.
Amazing private roasters! This coffee is incredible. They will also tell you every ingredient. Great for food allergies and sensitivities.
The pastries are to die for! My favorite was the pear, white chocolate ganache and juniper croissant they had as a holiday item. The coffee is also good and the employees are nice
Dear Slow Bloom Coffee, Thank you for existing! I am so glad my favorite baristas from Augie’s came together to make SBC! I have missed my favorite Honey Cinnamon Latte with Oat Milk since before the pandemic. And no one has ever done it as good as my favorite baristas. When I finally made it to your stand-alone coffee shop, I thought how cute it looked inside. It was so welcoming. And the best part was that I got to savor my first sip of HCLwOA! It was just what I was looking for! I can’t wait to be back and tell my friends all about the best coffee in the IE! I’ll see you again soon, SBC! Thank you, Wendy Notes: Located in Redlands. Please make a stop into this shop if you’re passing through the 10 freeway! (You’re welcome)
Absolutely amazing coffee. The espresso is very tasty, lots of fruity notes. The beans they have for sale were all roasted in the last few days, which is really fantastic. They also have a great selection of beans. Service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is quite casual. Support unions, drink here.
Run, don't walk, to this amazing little coffee shop. Great vibes. Great coffee. Do yourself a favor and grab a chocolate croissant (warmed obvi). Great little spot to have an intimate meeting, or get some work done remotely, or even acute coffee date. There's some merch and some other food items and they keep the menu simple. I highly recommend this place. Very trendy and fun and young. I also got a cold brew with oat milk. Pretty tasty! I'll definitely be back!
Seriously incredible cup of coffee! I always come here when I’m in town and I’ve never been disappointed in taste. Consistent and delicious - their plain honey latte is wonderful on a cool morning and is my go to every time. The shop itself is very chic and fun but it’s growing popularity does make for tight spaces and few tables to go around, I rarely find a spot to sit and relax, so I typically take my cup to go. The staff are kind and attentive, willing to help you pick the right roast to take home for the mornings you don’t come into town. While waiting in line today I took the time to read the articles they have on the wall and if I can encourage the staff - I love what you’re doing and working towards but the articles highlighted actually come across a bit bitter and resentful. I understand the history but I’d love to see a positive light on all the good you’re pursuing for yourselves and the community vs the bashing of another company that no longer exists. Maybe it’s time to move on and focus on what you’ve built, which I personally think is great! Thanks for another good cup to start my morning!
Popped in here quickly for an iced coffee, and the ambience and coffee were both fantastic! Highly recommend a simple iced latte for a balanced and delicious drink.
Recently getting into speciality coffee and looking for a place in the IE? This is the spot for you! Knowledgeable, well trained, passionate staff that you can tell likes coffee just as much as you do. Pour over is on point and some insanely unique light roasts to try. Espresso based drinks have satisfying foam, shots are pulled with more attention than I've ever had anywhere else. Atmosphere is great! Seating is plentiful if not a little unfriendly to bigger peeps. Get yourself a punch card and make this your coffee spot! The more we support places like this, the more places like this start to pop up. If you like coffee beyond a desert-like caffeine source, or you just hate the way Starbucks/Coffee bean handles your drinks and their own staff, show this place and it's staff your love!!
Such a cool little spot! Coffee was phenomenal! The staff was also very kind. Very excited to try the beans I picked up!
Very cool spot to grab coffee that isn't a huge chain. The cafe de olla is very good.
Stopped in to grab a pick me up while in the area and the lattes are 1,000/10 delicious. The croissant was so good! Customer service was amazing, the barista was friendly and service was awesome. I Will definitely be back on my days off.
I’ll be thinking of this place all week! Incredible coffee, unreal croissants. Get the square croissant with apples baked in and delicious whipped cream on top and pair it with a pumpkin spice latte. So so so good. 👏 love the outdoor seating also.
Coffee is my love besides my wife. Finding coffee spots is where it’s at, Slow Bloom is one of those spots you need to add to your list. The employees are extremely friendly and courteous as well as knowledgeable on what their selling. I love the atmosphere of this coffee spot, you have the option of sitting inside and outside. Plenty of space to hangout with family and friends while enjoying an excellent cup of coffee. While we were there, it’s was consistently busy which is what you want to see in a small business coffee shop. Make this your new spot, drop the coffee giants and find you a spot like Slow Bloom. The coffee itself was something else. I got a black cold brew and a shot of expresso. How they make their expresso let’s me know how they make and treat their coffee. The roast, blend, and notes were amazing. I often get looks from my wife for ordering a shot but talking with the employees about their shots lets me know their knowledge and excitement in making coffee. Slow Bloom Coffee is where it’s at and a small business you want to support, head there now and make it your daily coffee spot!
I’m loving this old school meets new school coffee shop! It looks like the outside has been revamped or added to but the inside still has a homely comforting feel to it. If you’re looking for a specialty latte or just plain straight up Joe then this place has got you covered. I tried the Praline Maple Latte and it had a good balance of coffee to flavor ratio. I also tried their pour over coffee which was an Ethiopian blend that came through very nicely. The first time around the vibe was that old seventies and the second time around was a little bit upbeat but I was so digging both of them. I’m guessing the barista sets the tone but so far it’s been really good. The service was great the times I’ve gone and I’m sure that’s what keeps customers and me coming back. So if you’re in the area and need a place to relax and have cool then definitely check this place out. I almost forgot, they have an outside patio on the side and the back of the coffee shop. So check this place out.
I came to visit while I’m on a bit of a break from graduate school - how else to best celebrate then to explore the cafes of Redlands?! I came here around 6 am, and was welcomed into a warm atmosphere. Many come and go to grab a drink and chat with friends. I appreciate the amount of seating available both indoors and outdoors. The place is a place to work as well with plenty of accessible outlets - at least to the the extent I would expect from a good study cafe. I ordered a medium sized latte with almond milk, and it was exactly what I needed. I really appreciated the fact that no additional charges were placed for the alternative milks of almond milk and oat milk. The service is kind and respectful. The bathroom is also well maintained, and the place is more or less of a haven for weary souls. Thank you all for the nourishment. God bless you all!
This is the second time I’ve been to this marvellous little coffee shop. Not only do their baked goods look amazing but they taste amazing too. Perfection. Coffee and service were excellent. The next time I’m in Redlands I will visit. Thank you.
I got a matcha and a coffee drink from here both of them are very delicious top notch. Had a very nice atmosphere clean and very friendly and helpful staff I will totally be returning to the spot again totally two thumbs up 👍👍
Workers owned so everyone is so nice and down to earth way if interacting. I've been going for almost half a year now but I'm always excited to see seasonal drinks.
Awesome little place to dock down and get some work done. Plenty of power strips and indoor/outdoor seating :)
Very hip coffee shop . They have a few interesting pastries . We got the olive and tomatoes focaccia ( it seemed to be a popular pick ) but we did enjoy it very much . Very dense almost tasted undercooked.. big and fluffy . But then we ordered a latte and that made up for everything ! It was so good ! Perfect notes . Just wow 🤩 plenty of seating outside and inside . Small parking lot though - fills up pretty quick !
Honestly it was pretty busy when we got there. But the chai was worth the wait. It reminded me of Augie's. I don't even remember what actually happened with that coffee shop but I remember they used to sell that gallon of chai! It was so good. But they shut down sadly, and if you're looking for that chai feel then head on over to slow bloom. They have great service, it may be busy but it's definitely worth the wait. I'll update later on the food, once I get a chance to try some. 💯
Wonderful place! The staff are all nice and coffee is great! Always busy, there’s a line of people outside to grab their cup of coffee ) that’s always the best sign for me as a traveler
Cozy little coffee shop with ample seating and great coffee. Staff is friendly as well.
Had a vanilla spicy chai tea Latte amazing. Perfect amount of spice. Dog friendly, lots of fluffer butts. Well priced Place is cute lots of seating Even though the line was out the door I go in in less than 5 minutes. Don’t let the line fool you, once you going in the door you next in line.
Espresso w tonic ✨ The matcha latte was good, but the espresso is really unbeatable The pistachio rose croissant is ridiculously good - light on the rose flavor, pistachio crème pat filling, flakey buttery croissant. Out of control The vibe is very inviting and inclusive The staff are lovely Plus it’s a cooperative so the team are all part owners which is very cool
Traveling to visit family in Redlands and discovered Slow Bloom. What a delight. I enjoyed a flavorful, rich Latte and decided to try some of their beans to sip at home. All the staff were friendly and the setting is inviting. I can’t wait to return for another cup!

their coffee tastes legit i just love redland so much
I stopped by Slow Bloom for an afternoon cup of tea and I was suprised by the options available. Most coffee shops just offer a few teas but here I had options. I enjoyed the iced white tea and ordered a jasmine green tea for a friend. There was seating inside and out; a perfect spot to take a break. I look forward to going again in the morning for a cup of coffee.
Love this place! Amazing coffee and unique baked goods that use unique combinations. Great service and helpful employees. I had the pumpkin spiced latte and the pistachio cream filled croissant. It was amazing. I bought several other pastries and coffee beans to take home for later. Everthing was so delicious.
Good coffee, hand crafted and employee owned shop. Love the wifi - nice to be able to work and drink some coffee. Seating is a little uncomfortable and not a lot indoors if weather is bad, but outside can be nice
I’ve been coming here for years, and honestly, no coffee compares to Slow Bloom’s. As a total coffee lover, I’m blown away every single time. You can just feel how much passion the owners put into what they do — and you can taste it too! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out. My only regret is not writing this sooner!
Yes the line can be long and it can get noisy inside, but I can honestly say the Solomon pour over coffee was the best coffee I've ever had. It was black coffee but had an array of flavors like berries and jasmine. Incredible!

We are from out of town but always find ourselves here when visiting. The coffee is very smooth and tasty. This a place where the coffee shines and not the sweeteners. It is usually very busy and it feels rushed. I haven’t had pastries. But the coffee is good but the atmosphere is busy. There is a nice outdoor seating though.
Literally just walked in for my first time and immediately loved the welcoming energy. The aesthetic of the place is retro, yet modern, and full of warmth. Love that, and the matcha I had was just the cherry on top!
One of the better third wave coffee experiences in all of the IE. This ain’t for you Dutch Bros, Starbucks folks - this is real deal coffee carefully sourced and tactfully prepared. Good on you, Slow Bloom. XoXo- Mr. Pickles
Absolutely Love this place with all the original crew as we've been going there for almost 10 yrs (Augie's) before they were Slow Bloom co-op today. BUT, I was recently taken back by one of their new young baristas, when I asked her if at all possible to warm up my latte since it was tepid. She looked at me with disgust and asked if I had already tasted my coffee (how else would I know it's tepid? 🤔) and if I did, she would have to remake it and told me to wait since she's busy filling other orders (it wasn't busy). I told her nicely it's ok, but then the wonderful barista stepped in and after he addressed me by my name, he remade my coffee on the fly ❤️ In the end, she had the nerve to humiliate me further and asked if I was going to keep the first one too, before I had the chance to hand it back 🤦 I was very turned off by her rudeness!!! I personally do not believe the barista should be talking back to the customer in any manner except to give best service, no matter the request. This is what Slow Bloom WAS to me: Family. Union. Oneness.
This is a beautiful hidden gem with the best Banana Bread Latte. Tastes exactly as if you’re eating a Banana Bread loaf which sometimes is really hard to create an exact syrup 🧡 it’s also a very nice coffee shop! So happy I found it but my only complaint was the staff. There’s one guy in particular that was not friendly at all and made our first time experience feel kind of rushed and annoying. I would still recommend trying it if you can get past a barista who simply is unhappy. I also ran into the grandson of the man who built that coffee shop and it was such a beautiful story.
The place didn’t leave much of an impression. It could have been slightly better, and the coffee definitely could have tasted better. It had a sour note and lacked that rich, inviting aroma you expect when walking into a coffee shop. The staff was polite, and the service was fast, but the quality of the coffee wasn’t really checked. I asked for an extra shot of espresso, but as you can see in the photo, the coffee came out with two very different color tones — not a great sign. On the bright side, the parking lot is large, which is a big plus. As for the pastries, nothing really stood out. I even hesitated to buy them.

Nice place to hang out with lots of room both inside and outside, when the weather is good. The coffee is average and the pain au fromage wasnt good at all. Ill come back for hanging out to read and work, but will skip the pastry next time.
Probably the most mid latte I’ve had in my life. No pastries left at 11am. Minimal parking. Cute atmosphere but very small. Baristas were quick and efficient.
Based on the reviews and popularity I had high hopes. But it definitely fell short. The interior was crowded, cold, and not warm or inviting. The staff was somewhat friendly and the coffee was mediocre. The sizes were exceptionally small for the price and compared to other facilities. Maybe we didn’t order the right things but we definitely won’t be back to hang out or study there!
This is a beautifully designed, clean but artistic, Palm Springs/LAish coffee shop with a spacious shaded patio and ample parking. However, the music is deafening, not only inside, but outside too, which is absurd. The vast majority of people here are working, the others are trying to converse. I'm reading outside with noisecancelling headphones playing white noise and can still hear the annoying beat of the music clearly and constantly. It is really not the vibe. There is no need to have loud, bad, tinny music in and outside when it doesn't even suit the customer base. The drink I had was also poor: the espresso tonic was weak and lacked that nice bite. From the moment I walked in I was expecting a friendly Redlands experience, and it was definitely not. It was claustrophobic inside, crammed tables of people working with loud music, and not friendly workers or patrons. So yeah, I'm disappointed. I'm sure I'll be back, but I was expecting more. I was really happy to see the LQBTQ+ flag flying, I hope it is not up just for June. The flag is faded and tattered though, which is not great.
Coffee was pretty good, espresso was very light so in a 12oz latte not much coffee flavor. The thing that really dropped my rating was the frustration of person taking our order. We were a large party and there was no one behind us so we weren’t holding up the line, it was our first time there so we were trying to figure out what to get. There were no prices listed on the pastries and we were asking the prices, the girl started rolling her eyes and acting upset. Not sure why they don’t have the prices listed. The summer daydream matcha was $8 for 16oz, but delicious.
Definitely disappointed. Service was subpar. The person who took our order was very underwhelming. There were only two pastries available and almost no seating inside. I’m sure this is a great place for students to get coffee. Just not suitable for any other demographic. The gingerbread latte was disgusting and the chai was just ok. They do offer alternative milks for no extra fee which was one of the only pleasantly surprising aspects of the visit. The gingerbread cake was good.

I love your guy's coffee and atmosphere, but it would be really nice if you guys could update your store hours on Google if you're going to be closed for some event. Literally every other coffee shop that I frequent put on their Google hours of operation that they were closed today, but not you guys. So I made the 15 minute drive to you guys, desperate for caffeine, just to see that you, too, are closed. It was frustrating and you really should be more mindful of your customers and their time.
The new banana latte is DELISH, but unfortunately the service provided by the person taking our order was TERRIBLE! This was perhaps the most unpleasant service I’ve been given in a long time. My toddler was very excited about something in the shop and was talking while I placed my order…however not loud enough or disruptive enough that warranted a repeat of my order…yet it was enough to irritate the employee and it was evident by the look on her face and attitude given to me.
This place is nice, but it's more likely a social club or place to stay. It's not a quit place to students or people need to stay and work in a quite place. Coffee is good quality and overall good price, but it's hard to find a seat, a place to seat and stay calm while you are working. Atmosphere is too loudly. It is a good place to stay with friends, but not for people need to study or work.
If I could do a 0 star review I would. Went with a friend and it was the worst coffee experience I’ve ever had!!! DON’T GO HERE! The staff is so RUDE AND ENTITLED. Atmosphere is terrible and snobby. COFFEE WAS GROSS. I felt like they were doing me a favor. GO TO HOORAY COFFEE INSTEAD!!! Everything there is SUPREME!
OK for me this is definitely not my kind of place. I don't like to socialize or large crowds.I like a good iced coffee so I wanted to give this place a try. You have to add/pick your different syrups to the drinks you get. So I thought what I got would be good. Honestly it made me sick to my stomach. When they told me about the syrup thing I thought I would just get a frappe but they don't have them. It was not a great experience for me. But to each their own. I'm sure alot of people love it. The staff was friendly.
