Amazing restaurant! Have been wanting to go to a Limon location for a very long time and finally had the occasion to go. Everything was great: the atmosphere was nice, the design was cute, and the most important - the food was spectacular! some of the combinations I've never tried before and was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were also good, not watered down at all. Will be back!
I had lunch here for the first time and was truly impressed. The interior is beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly. And the food? Absolutely amazing! Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. For vegetarians - Flor Del Huerto is a must have. Plenty of options for non-vegetarians and they have a separate drink menu too. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Beautiful new spot in Redwood City! The ambiance is a touch of elegance. Our server was amazing super friendly, attentive, and he knew the menu inside out. We had the tuna tartare, meat rolls, ribeye (perfectly medium rare), seafood rice (arroz con mariscos), and the most incredible tres leches for dessert. Everything was flavorful and well presented. Perfect place for a night out with friends or a special celebration. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
Limón Redwood City never fails to impress, delivering an exceptional dining experience marked by outstanding service and consistently fantastic dishes. Whether you're a longtime fan of Peruvian cuisine or exploring it for the first time, this restaurant stands out as a must-visit destination. We started with the Mixto Clásico, a beautifully balanced ceviche featuring Pacific red snapper, calamari, and shrimp, all bathed in a vibrant clásico leche de tigre. The freshness of the seafood combined with the bright citrus and just the right amount of heat made it an outstanding start. Their Taro Chips, made fresh daily, were the perfect crispy and slightly sweet accompaniment, adding a delightful contrast in texture. The Jalea was another highlight—perfectly crispy, lightly battered shrimp, calamari, and fish, served with crispy yuca fries, salsa criolla, and a yuzu aioli that added a refreshing tang. The presentation was so tempting that we barely had time to take photos before diving in. For the main courses, the Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian classic, was flavorful, with wok-stir-fried beef tenderloin, tomatoes, onions, and a ginger-infused soy sauce, all served with fries and jasmine rice. While still enjoyable, the beef had a slightly liver-like taste, possibly due to the cut or the seasoning in the wok—something that could be fine-tuned. The Arroz con Mariscos delivered a comforting, well-executed seafood rice dish, while the Mixto Amarillo and Mixto Rocoto were excellent variations of their signature ceviches. The ají amarillo leche de tigre in the Mixto Amarillo brought a rich, slightly creamy heat, while the porteño leche de tigre in the Mixto Rocoto had a bolder, spicier kick. The entire experience was made even better by the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff, who ensured everything was served promptly and with genuine hospitality. We were celebrating a dear friend’s birthday, and Limón once again proved why it remains one of our go-to spots for authentic Peruvian cuisine. We love Limon!!
Beyond our expectation! The ceviche is very fresh. The ribeye signature dish is just next level!!! The drinks are amazing! Service is also great!!!
I've been to other Limon locations in San Francisco and was not impressed. The Redwood City Limon was very good! The ambiance and decor were so nice. San Francisco needs to remodel their locations. The food was delicious and was served hot. The drinks were strong. I'll definitely go back soon. Did I mention there is public parking a block away. Your welcome!
Limon is more that their famous rotisserie chicken. Some of the dishes we tried is their crispy pork belly which is heavenly with the fried rice that came with it. The steak is a large portion with plenty of sides to choose from. We got plantains, cauliflower and tuna tartare for apps. The plantain is kinda plain, but the cauliflower is worth the try. The tuna tartare is fresh and makes a good combination with the crisp taro chips that came with it. We had a beef and seafood dish and they are equally tasty in their own right. Everything that we ordered is to be honest really good sonypu cant really go wrong with what you're going to order here. Parking is a bit tough as in any downtown. This is a good place for meetings, friends meet up or even a follow up a date. Highly recommended.
Limon was an incredible culinary experience. The Ceviche was unlike anything I've had before and has set a new standard of expectation that has yet to be met anywhere else. Additionally, the ambiance and staff were equally impressive and we felt right at home despite not knowing much of Peruvian culture. Cheers to Chef Martin Castillo and his staff!
Here is a full June 2025 breakdown, unbiased and not associated with restaurant or employees, but doing reviews of most of the RWC restaurants over the next year. Reservations: easy, on Resie, 7pm on a Saturday, at a table, made 1 hour prior Greeting: prompt and polite and immediately looked at tables available for seating Bar: L shaped, multiple TVs with sports but no volume that would be disturbing, extensive spirits and beer selection Ambiance: good lighting, music not too loud, great vibe, upbeat but not obnoxious atmosphere Wait staff: attentive, not overly chatty, pleasant, a 2nd wait staff member came to our table and took our drink order because our server was tied up with a very large table Temperature: comfortable, doors open, warm Seating comfort: very, soft seats, not grammar school chairs Noise: appropriate for the atmosphere Clientele: mixed crowd, casual, but not sloppy and also some people were business casual dressy Drinks: good flavor, light on the alcohol but what you get when you try speciality drinks at restaurants. If you want strong, stick with your Manhattan up, vodka/gin martini, etc. Extensive wine and cocktail menu selection Appetizers: great selection, had the tuna tartare, with seaweed, radishes, mini red peppers, edamame, unagi. Very tasty, great portion size for price Main dishes: flat iron steak - medium rare, cooked perfect, not overly seasoned, just the way a steak should be, potatoes and vegetables accompanying were proportional and tasty. Saltato vegetarian - wok stir-fried seasonal vegetables, ginger-infused soy sauce, french fries, and jasmine rice was very tasty and veggies were crisp. Value for the price: equivocal. Cost was what I expected for 4 drinks, a raw seafood appetizer and two entrees. Claudia and Selvin of the wait staff were very attentive, super professional and personable! Recommend: yes
Great ceviche, great portion size on the main courses

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Limon is one of my favorite Peruvian spots in NorCal. While I’ve tried the Walnut Creek location, the Redwood City one takes the crown. I can’t get enough of their arroz con mariscos (seafood paella) - it’s packed with flavor and seafood, definitely a must-try! Their empanadas and ceviches are also delicious 😋
Limon in Redwood City is an amazing spot for Peruvian food. The flavors are bold and fresh, the dishes are always well-prepared, and everything comes out tasting incredible. The atmosphere is lively, the service is friendly, and it’s a great place for both casual meals and special occasions. If you’re looking for standout food and a great dining experience in Redwood City, Limon is a must-try.
Great restaurant for all occasions, corporate lunch, dating, family gatherings. Solo indulgence. Reasonably priced, large portion size, great seasoning, I support. Recommend especially a dish that was somewhat fried rice like... The waiter recommended it and I like lol
Limon is a wonderful addition to downtown RWC. The food is delicious, though I wish there were more vegetarian options (a vegan ceviche made with corn would be amazing!). I've been several times & have tried all of the vegetarian dishes- they're all incredible. I also highly recommend the chicha morada sour- one of the best cocktails in RWC in my opinion.

Did I visit this restaurant twice in one day? Yes I did!! Came here for a holiday lunch on a Friday and then later when my friends were looking for somewhere to meet for happy hour, I suggested this place. Can't get enough! Fabulous cocktails and mocktails and of course the food is amazing. The only thing I didn't care for was the pork belly. Everything else was lovely, especially the paella. Great addition to the Redwood City food scene!
Limon is known for seafood and it did. It disappoint with the new Redwood City joint. Our group had a great time dining. The drinks were on point, the empanadas were tasty but the sushi and the whole fish dish stole the night. Our server was very friendly, helped us navigate the menu and his recommendations were great. Overall, a great option to come out for dinner with your group.
Excellent service, inviting atmosphere, fresh seafood. +++ Impeccable service. + Nice atmosphere. Music is not too loud, but enough to mask sounds from other people. + Good cutleries and tableware. - Food could be better. Food: Ceviche Limón + Seafood is fresh. + Signature sauce is good, it's like Tabasco but less spicy and more sour. - The plate is drenched with sauce and everything tastes the same. Taro chips - Crispy, and interesting. - Overly salty, and the entrée's sauce is not helping. - They are add-ons for the seafood dish, but I don't think they fit in. Mango panna cotta + Highlight of the meal, complex and delicious. + 3 layers: mango jelly, light cream, heavy cream. + Good plating: plate dusted with sugar. * Strawberry slides around when cutting.

We went for an early dinner and the food and service was really good. We had veggie empanadas, Acevichado and Cangrejito.
Always go there with my girlfriend. Everything on the menu is tasty. My favorite is the lomo saltado. I've had the pork belly chaufa and the ceviche. The staff is always nice. They give good recommendations. The drinks aren't anything special. It's all about the food. The restaurant is clean itself. Smells good. The seating is fine. Bar options and usually have sports on. It does get loud so if you need to have conversations don't get frustrated. Overall. I like like Limon and it's consistent location to location.

Server was a little rude and definitely not helpful, and not attentive at all. Didn’t get water until our main course arrived, and only then did he check on us as well. We had a few questions about the menu and our server gave rude and unhelpful answers. Food is overpriced but that was expected for a restaurant with a focus on ambiance. Drinks were good and fairly priced (tried the pisco sour). Maybe one of the other locations is worth another visit but won’t be returning here, especially with the other amazing food within a few blocks!

Food was good, but the service ruined the experience We came in excited to try this place—the food and drinks were actually quite good. Unfortunately, the service was terrible and completely took away from the experience. Our server was rude and dismissive from the start. When we asked questions about the drinks, he made us feel dumb and was not helpful or courteous in any way. Customer service was clearly not a priority. It honestly felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. We were hoping to order more drinks and enjoy the evening, but instead, they abruptly asked us to leave, which felt completely uncalled for and unprofessional. This place needs to seriously train their staff on how to treat customers. Great food means nothing if the service makes you feel uncomfortable. We won’t be returning.
As a Peruvian, I was excited to try this restaurant because a lot of people spoke highly of it. Horrible Lomo Saltado. Meat had no flavor and dry. I could only taste the soy sauce because the plate had so much of it. Rocotto sauce was not even spicy, also barely had flavor, and they charge $2 for that. Only thing I liked was the rice and chicha Morada. I only ate a good portion of it because I was hungry. Service was mid. Staff very serious. For a restaurant like this, you honestly expect better attitudes. Restaurant is pretty but music was pretty loud sometimes. This restaurant is not worth the money and it is not approved by a fellow Peruvian.
