Please don't go there you'll probably ruin the entire vibe. They don't have beer on tap go get your IPA somewhere else. Safe space for alcoholics and the old at heart.

Always friendly bar tenders, outside seating area with its own bar and tvs. Plenty of off street parking after the bank next door has closed.

Been coming here for years when in the area. Locals dominate the crowd in the daylight hours but a younger crowd takes over in the evening, all friendly and social. Never any drama here and it wouldn't be tolerated.

It's like Cheers... the old TV show.... a true neighborhood joint... people know each other, new folks are always embraced... darts, many sports TV games on probably 10 or more TVs, very female safe (older regular males protect women like daughters)... ok its just a cool place with mostly good clients... oh yea... the owner cares about your experience... offers free fresh snacks most happy ours during the week, Monday night football dinners are $5... and prepared by signups... regulars...it also is the head quarters for a 501c3 charitable foundation... all around great spot... beer, well less than $4, high calls, less than $8... good folks... "Where the elite meet"... not a dive, it's a neighborhood spot... .

I recently stopped by Saddle Room Bar in Redwood City, located along Woodside Road in a part of town known more for local neighborhood spots than destination nightlife venues. The bar has the feel of a long-standing community hangout where regulars gather for drinks, conversation, and a relaxed evening. The atmosphere leans toward the classic dive bar style. The interior is straightforward and unpretentious, with dim lighting, bar seating, and a layout that encourages casual interaction between guests. It feels like the kind of place where people stop in after work or meet up with friends without worrying about dress codes or elaborate cocktail menus. The drink selection focuses on familiar bar staples. Beer, simple mixed drinks, and well-known spirits form the backbone of the menu, which fits the casual nature of the venue. Rather than emphasizing craft cocktails or upscale presentation, the bar keeps the experience simple and approachable. Service during the visit felt friendly and easygoing. Staff interactions reflected the neighborhood character of the bar, and it was clear that many of the guests were regulars who know the place well. From a global travel perspective, Saddle Room Bar reminded me of the local neighborhood pubs I have encountered in cities such as Chicago, London, and Vancouver where the emphasis is on familiarity, conversation, and community rather than elaborate nightlife.

Basuc American bar mainly catering to blue-collar workers. Open by 10am every day. Very friendly. Close to cheap places to eat.
