Excellent service! We arrived a little past breakfast time and they still accommodated us. Food was excellent. Since coffee was out being it was late they were gracious enough and told us we could go to the Starbucks next door and get coffee if we wanted to. Then one of them came over to Starbucks to ask how we wanted our eggs because we forgot to let them know. We got back with the coffees and they brought over our plates. I highly recommend Salt and Tart.
Today I tried the Hearty Breakfast Bowl which is good and I substituted the Egg to Egg White which is additional $2.00.

Great place to grab a quick breakfast or lunch, their ciabatta bread is fantastic. Also the champagne vinaigrette on the garden salad is perfect. Really nice guys who work/run the place! Thanks y’all
Favorite go-to breakfast/lunch place. Amazing ingredients, menu, environment, customer service, location, and price! 100% recommend to anyone
Just stopped by and got a breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic. Live around the corner and will definitely come back regularly. Unassuming location but great food
AMAZING FOOD AT AMAZINGLY FAIR PRICE. less than 10$s for a top notch burger and the best fries ive had? YES PLEASE salads are fresh and amazing too. Havent ever gotten the flatbread myself but according to my friend its a nice pizza. Had to come and review because I love this place and want them to do well and be successful. GOOD JOB AND BLESS YOU GUYS
New favorite breakfast place in Santa Monica. -EXTREMELY fair pricing. Doesn't cost half your paycheck to get an unreal sandwich or breakfast bowl like every other place in SM. -Best staff. So friendly. -Quick, efficient, and extremely clean shop. In & out in 5-10 minutes max. I come here more than 1x a week now.
Great burger and fries! Sides are good and prices are certainly reasonable for the portion and quality. A new lunch spot for the area! Our office will be back.
So yummy! Went there with my 3 picky kids and they loved it. My son said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had. Cute place and very clean.
This place makes incredibly good sandwiches with very fresh ingredients. I highly recommend everybody stop here while on the side of town. The market club is a very very tasty sandwich.
Super delicious and affordable! I got the regular breakfast burrito and it so yummy. The staff was really kind and welcoming, I highly recommend this place!
Consistent, reliable, and quality. Had lunch regularly here before our office moved. Staff is great and food is too
HIDDEN. GEM! I didn’t think there were good places that were reasonably priced in Santa Monica. Southwest breakfast sandwich is quite possibly the best (though somewhat messy) breakfast sandwich I’ve gotten in LA and at only $7, you can’t beat it. It’s also reasonably sized. All the things I’ve tried so far are great. Quick and friendly service. Cheap price but good quality. I regularly get breakfast/lunch from here. I just wish they were open for dinner and on the weekends.
Loved Salt and Tart! Went here on my lunch and tried the tuna melt. It was great! it was my first tuna melt ever, but after reading the reviews it sounded like a great option. One of the employees (or owner/manager) mentioned my name and was very friendly. Service was excellent and I will definitely be back to try something else!
such a cute little place! food is super super good and tasty and very affordable as well. the guys at the front are super super nice and even made me a sandwich after they were about to close! however they do sometimes close early randomly for unknown reasons so try to get their before 3 PM
Love this place!!! Why? The people and their service! They are very very friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to make you comfortable! Then, the food! I had a avocado /egg toast: delicious! The tomato soup was equally yummy! Also, the place is super clean! As it is across the DMV, it’s the best spot to have lunch while waiting for your turn! :)

I placed an order last week for an order for breakfast during business hours and when I arrived there was not at the restaurant and the doors were lock. I called and no one answered the phone. My money was taken for an order that was not even received. Update: One of their staff was nice enough to give me a call to let me know of their unfortunate circumstances and why they closed unexpectedly. I was issued a refund.

This is going to be a negative review but hopefully the reasons for it are mostly temporary and due to being short staffed rather than overall policy. So we wanted some brunch but apparently several menu items are time-gated off the brunch menu and the happy hour menu starts later in the day which leads to a confusing ordering experience at the register. Breakfast burritos are a no go, but sandwiches are? Egg plates? Pancakes? Who knows...it's not clear and with a line building up behind you there's pressure to not ask questions to figure it out or play "guess the item" so we ordered lunch stuff instead. We both got combos with drinks but apparently coffee doesn't exist and neither does the fountain machine despite both being out for display. Instead we had a choice of well-picked over bottles in a half-empty and room-temperature "cold" case. Alright. The food itself was okay. The burger was good but nothing special and the wife's caprese sandwich was "pretty good" and the prices are relatively decent given this is Santa Monica. Service was a bit odd and here is where I think they are really understaffed/struggling and that may make the above more understandable. There seemed to be a chef and one other person working the brunch/lunch hour and the other person clearly wasn't comfortable in any "front of the house" position. The chef ended up doing most of the running of food to tables while the other guy cleared tables and ran a register. He cleared my wife's canned drink before she was finished with it, realized his mistake and offered to retrieve it from the garbage bag for her. Thanks, but no. Anyway, this is probably a one and done for us. If you live/work in the area, I'm sure this place is a welcome addition to a fairly limited set of choices within walking distance but otherwise, cannot recommend based on this experience.

Yesterday 2/17 at about 12:30 noon I ordered an American burger from here with chips. It had turkey pattie, avocado, red cabbage, lettuce, and onions. 8 hours later I was horribly sick, vomiting uncontrollably for a few hours. All the contents of the burger came up!! (Only the burger) I hadn't eaten anything after this meal and had a light breakfast of fruit earlier that morning. It was some of the worse food poisoning I've experienced in a really long time!!! Finally, at about midnight, I was gagging sheer acid as nothing was left on my stomach to throw up. This was my first visit to this venue and will be my last. Something clearly was spoiled.
I got duped. Their grilled cheese has no tomato or basil. It was just cheese and bread. Nobody answered the phone so no way to find out. Beware
