We had a wonderful experience at Budd’s Broiler. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. We had the wedge salad, maple chipotle meatloaf, halibut cakes, roasted garlic scampi prawns, and the New York steak. Food came out quickly and was hot and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back next time we are visiting Richland.

We had the tomahawk, and it was delicious. The April special Halibut was so delicious, too. The food was so good that I was unable to take photos. Did get one of the very delicious asparagus soup.

Had dinner here. I have to say the bartenders and wait staff were very attentive. The food they recommended was exceptional. We started with clams, Calamari and a shaved steak for appetizers. I had the pork chop others in my party had the filet all the meals were excellent

I was staying in the hotel next to this steakhouse so we decided to have dinner here, we came in kinda early so it was not very busy. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The chairs are comfortable and the table had plenty of space around it, so it wasn't tight next to another table. Everything appeared to be clean and well taken care of. The drinks were good and filled quickly. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the potoes and Veg. The service was top notch and friendly. We will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

I went in there by myself just to check it out heard a lot about it. The staff was amazing as the food the whole environment loved every bit of it

I've been meaning to come here for over a few years actually ever since I heard how good the steaks are. People sweared by them and now that a good friend of mine works here, I finally got convined to go try the food. I needed me time and a calm environment in a restaurant with comfort food, so Budd's Broiler it is. I got there at around 4 PM and it was not too packed. To my left were 3 tables being served as well so I expected my waitress to be a little busy. The scenery was the first thing I noticed; the view of the pier and the boats parked made this restaurant shine. It's a whole different view in the cold weather. Very nice sunset came by. I immediately knew I needed a Riesling as it is my favorite type, so Ste. Michelle Riesling was what I got. It was a crisp but otherwise bit rough. Once you drink water between the first few sips, the flavor starts to settle and it's actually a clean crisp. It is incredible! A starter was very much needed so I got a ceaser salad and you best bet it was the best simple salad I have ever had in my entire life. It was so flavorful, the cheese was very good. The croutons were incredibly crunchy and the lettuce was very good too. I sprinkled the lemon it came with and it actually complemented this salad rather well. Next, was the main baby I came for. Sadly they were out of the 14 Oz Ribeye so I had to opt for the Chicken Fried Steak wagyu top sirloin. Don't let the price difference fool you... it is hands down the best chicken fried steak I've had for the price. Yes, it is a bit pricey but by goly, the mashed potatoes were very flavorful. I don't like broccoli and I ate all of mine! The most wonderful part for me was that the steak was so tender and easy to cut. It was so flavorful because of the crust, the gravy held every bite into justice. The next piece was desert; a very complicated choice between the Mark's Whiskey cheesecake and the Fire Roasted Apple Bread Pudding... Mandy came in clutch on the decision and even convinced Jennifer, my first waitress that I should try the pudding rather than the cheesecake. Guess what? Mandy was right! I am also not an ice cream guy and I ate all of it! Don't get me started on the bread, it was the most soft piece of heaven I've had on this earth! 🥰 It was very much like freshly baked bread! Went so well with the pecan vanilla ice cream! 😋 Now, the credit where it belongs. Cara, you are an absolutely blast of a manager. I can see why Jennifer, Mandy and Noel are very good team players! The rest of the crew seemed very cool as well, including Michael my friend. 🤗 Jennifer, you definitely deserve 10 for being an awesome waitress that made my day so much better! Thank you Mandy as well for the awesome service and being a good influence on food choices. 😊 Thank you Noel for bringing my Chicken Fried Steak over! Finally, shoutout to everyone here for making sure Budd's gets the recognition it deserves. Along with CG Public House and Sterling's, Anthony's has done an incredible job to bring a unique experience within the local community. I can imagine why travelers would love to come and try these higher end restaurants; because people like Cara, Jennifer, Mandy and everyone else make sure every single person at the tables gets the feeling of being at home. It is the best aspect of these local restaurants, you're treated like family and not just another loser!

Overall great experience, the entrees and drinks were real good. Highly recommend the tomahawk steak for the main course!! Just know it takes some time to prepare so don’t expect to order and have it come out right away.

Sat outside by the water and had a wonderful meal with my husband. We ordered some cocktails and they were well worth the price as the bartender definitely does not skimp on the liquor. The Calamari starter is to die for. I got the steak salad and it was perfect!

My birthday dinner. Had the Wild Alaskan halibut. The service was fantastic, sweet, helpful and a delightful server, named Shyrete. Took my allergies to the chef and she was wonderful by making a panko coating I could eat. Even dessert was delicious.

Beautiful atmosphere! Good service ! Delicious food! But I still think the foot is a little overpriced :)

Beautiful view of the river, swanky but comfortable vibe. Apps varies and good, steaks devine, good variety from steak, lamb, duck, burger, salad, and even a vegan burger option, with fresh veg and yummy starch options, nice wine varieties, mixed drinks if that's your preference, and dessert (so good) plus dessert wine. Pricey buy worth it in my opinion. I would go again for sure. Update: Went again, steak was perfect, desert (creme brule) standard and just as expected - good, had a fun cocktail (single malt, honey, candied ginger, and lemon) was 👍. Oh, and the bread was addictive.

Waitstaff incredible. Gave honest recommendations and opinions. I think the shining star for our group was the scallops, the tenderloin medallions, and the melting chocolate cake. It was ethereal.

Fantastic environment. Fantastic employee staff and the floor manager was very polite, friendly, funny and just awesome! Food was amazing and came our the kitchen in good time. 2 thumbs way UP!

Chic atmosphere and great food! The restaurant is easily one of the fancier places in Richland. The waiters are attentive yet not overbearing. We had the big steak for 2 people. It was delicious! The overall decor is tasteful and the lake view window highlight the room. The partially high ceiling and big open room cause a slightly high noise level when seated in the middle.

I love this place, the staff, the service, the food, all were incredible!! The long bone ribeye is a new tradition and Budd's Broiler is a definite go to place when I'm in the area. I highly suggest you you give them a try, you'll be glad you did!

Steak too juicy, lobster too buttery. 10/10. The food took a little while to arrive, but once it did, everything else came out quickly—refills, sides, and dessert. It was a bit noisy, but I really enjoyed the lighting and the overall atmosphere.

We had the Tomahawk Steak that was cooked Medium Rare served with Mashed Garlic Potato. Staff took care to make sure that it was exactly how we wanted it cooked before they served it. The Garlic Shrimp came with 5 Big Shrimp served with Green Beans and Rice Pilaf. Shrimp was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Service is excellent with someone coming around to make sure that you didn't need anything else. Service is above and beyond what you would expect.

This is my favorite place for steak in Tri-cities, we are very limited to good restaurants here. Budd’s is great, they have great service, consistent menus, and delicious food. My favorite steak is the filet or the ribeye and the best dessert is the melting lava cake, that’s what I call it, not sure what the exact name of it on the menu is…nor do I care…all I know is that it’s delicious. It does take 15 minutes to make so keep that in mind. I often order it to go if I’m not dining in and only want dessert, it’s so good! The one thing I was sad about was they got rid of the Brut champagne (my fav) and replaced it with another option that isn’t as dry, it’s good but not the brut. Love this place, highly recommend!!!!

I had the ribeye, she had the filet mignon. Both were cooked correctly, seasoned perfectly. We ate on the patio... Lovely view of the river and boats

We are regulars and consider the early bird dinners and Sunday Brunch our favorite dining out treats. For birthdays and other special occasions, the steaks are the best in town and I know and love my ribeyes !! The marina view, walkway watching, separated happy hour bar and as good of staff as any I’ve ever had, well that’s why we are regulars.

Budd’s Broiler provided an exceptional experience for my husband & I. The staff were so attentive & kind! Our drinks were delicious & the bread with chive butter, was delicious! I tried the halibut cakes with slaw, were decadent paired with the rice & seasoned brussel sprouts, making it a perfectly balanced dish. My husband tried the maple chipotle meatloaf, & loved it noting it was full of flavor & just the right amount of spice. Overall, the ambience of the restaurant is higher end location perfect for nice events or a date night. I highly recommend this restaurant & can’t wait to return! Thank you for the 10/10 experience!

Amazing experience, really great service and food was very fresh. Best meatloaf I've ever had! Update 1-29-25: Bud's continues to be my favorite place to eat in the Tri Cities, came for their steak and lobster special and it was fantastic! The restaurant was absolutely busy at 6:00 on a Wednesday but the staff did an awesome job waiting on a full restaurant and helping us out with our 1 year old who loves their bread.

I would rate this place higher if I could! The atmosphere was relaxed, service was excellent. We had the early special -3 course meal. Great food for a great price.

Outstanding! Service, atmosphere and food were top notch. Everything from oyster shooters to dessert was perfect, the staff were amazing. So highly recommended, best dining experience in the tri cities.

Amazing place to go on a date or out to dinner with friends. The brie appetizer is delightful, and so is their cream dessert. You also can't go wrong ordering a steak. The waitress was so nice and checked on us as needed. Will be back!

The food was amazing. My steak was perfectly cooked to medium and the vegetables and potato were exactly as requested. Our server was absolutely amazing. We struggled to find a wine, as we generally only drink European wines, but she brought us 3 options and amazingly we found one we truly loved. She definitely went above and beyond. The atmosphere is perfect, right off the river... doesn't get any better.

Classy setting and atmosphere. Foods good and they have tasty steaks. If you have money burning a hole in your wallet this place will help you out. But I feel it's worth it for the great service they provide. I our server Angie was amazing and very helpful with making sure my meal was gluten free

UPDATE FROM MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: I was contacted by the manager after reading of my first experience. Her name is Cara, she offered to send me a gift card that would cover a meal for 2 and invited me to give them another try. We went back on NYE and our experience was sooo much better. Our waitress/server was Sharita, she was so fun, made great recommendations and communicated with us when the bar was running a little behind. I am impressed with this business and how serious they take their customers experiences. We will add Bud’s to our list of places to eat! This was our first time eating here. The prices were steep and the steak was small, tough, and tasteless. Our server was new and he tried but we had to ask for our bread and he was a bit slow. We split the prime rib New York steak. We thought it was prime rib but turned out to be the worst New York steak ever. The steamed veggies were soggy and tasted old. Our potato’s were gummy like they had been over cooked. The cocktails were good but the pour was light which at 15$ per cocktail seemed ridiculous. Our desert was yummy so 5 stars on that. We sat in the lounge and it was so loud that I had to almost yell for my husband to hear me. We paid way too much (over $200 for 2 people) and honestly Texas Roadhouse would have been a better choice. So disappointing.

This place is pretty good. Had some miscommunication on some of our orders but food was really good. The waiter didn’t use a notepad and some things were missed we had to reorder. The oyster special menu was fun in March. Went for a friends birthday and had a great booth to sit in.

Great service, good food, great drink selection. I was there with a large party, the waitress did a great job taking care of us. The place is very nice inside and the atmosphere is very nice. It is a little pricey but definitely worth stopping in and treating yourself.

Great service and the food was good. Got the oysters on half shell, they were delicious and very clean tasting, but kind of small. The steak tip appetizer was a little overcooked and a little bland. The fillet was very good and the ribeye was very good as well. However, the best part of the meal was the crab. Quite pricey, so it’s not somewhere we would go every week, however, we will likely go back.

Great experience. Food was phenomenal. Wait time could have been better but they were understaffed so we gave them that. Expensive but still a overall great experience for Valentine's day.

The service was great. I had the chicken fried steak and calamari. I loved the calamari. It tasted fresh. The chicken fried steak was okay. It could have had a little more flavor and definitely needed more gravy.

W

They bring you hot bread with some butter before your meal and it is to die for we had the scallops and the flank steak we enjoyed our meal and we love the view of the water, and our staff was very friendly

First time coming here. Came in shortly before Christmas. The place was VERY busy, and the service provided was great considering the circumstances. The Calamari was delicious as well as the bread they brought. The main course is where I was disappointed and why I'm only giving this place an overall 4 star rating. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but I've had better fish and steak for way less money at other places.

J
James Wald

Service was excellent all around, and food was good quality. They cooked my steak just right, and green beans were fresh and tasty. Calamari was ok but could have been crispier, the sauce was nice. Peach slump wasn't quite as good as from Anthony's. Unfortunately there was a bit of a fly problem inside. No after meal espresso available.

C
Christina O

Great service and atmosphere. Got the rib eye dinner with loaded potato which was all very good and cooked perfectly. Great flavor on the steak. My drink which I can’t recall the name of was also good and strong.

S
Scott Kopper

It's good. I imagine it's one of the best restaurants in the area, but compared to steakhouses near major cities like Seattle, it's not as good. Anthony's is in the Seattle area in different forms, also. They own this place I guess. Sides are included here, although not ones I would pick if they were a la carte like the fancier places. No need to dress up here. We sat outside by the marina. Porterhouse was good, but not prime. Prime NY was good, but not great. Veggies were okay. Bread was great.

G
Greg Rudy

4 stars is really good….it just wasn’t a phenomenal for me. We ordered the Porterhouse and Halibut entrees. The steak was over temp, by a lot…(ordered med rare…got Med Well if I’m being generous) but still quite tender and flavorful, so I ate it. The halibut was well prepared, and simply sauced. It was good, but could have had a little more pop of citrus to brighten up the flavor. The sugar snap peas were good, but lacked a little something to take them to great. The service was a bit slow. But not bad by any means. It was just a solid 4 stars. My only issue with this is price point. It just wasn’t a $200 experience. It was a $125 experience….out kicking its cover. And I spent most of the evening listening to the guy next to us loudly lament his irritation with his wife’s dog.

Atmosphere was great Ordered a medium rare ribeye. Came out with slightly burnt crust and a medium rare inside. Just a strange cook on it and tough bits of meat inside. Felt like a low-grade steak to begin with that was cooked OK The spices on the steak as well, saved the whole thing Waitress was asking which soup or fries we wanted to go with it implying it came with it but really they were all $10 extra each. Little disappointing.

Don Lester

There are a number of restaurants clustered in this part of town in this pricing tier. We have been to all of them now, and we will not be returning to Budds, probably ever. I could have overlooked how ridiculously small my steak was, but my wife's egg scramble was runny, the bread was missing the cinnamon butter, and the waitress didn't come around to check on anything until we were well into being just 'done'. Not going to name other establishments, but there are several within a short walk of Budds that are a better option for roughly the same price.

M
Mike (Big Mike)

Had reservations for 11, we were given the side conference room to the right when you come in. The plus was no one else around us, the con was Zero view. The waitress apologized that "we are short handed" and she didn't know she was doing our party. Odd start to dinner. You would think "Budds Broiler"... Like Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue.. but it's Anthonys (HomePort?) place. They want to make you feel you are in upper scale for that area- it's still Richland. The drinks from the bar were sub-par at took forever to arrive. Couldn't figure out how to make a New York sour if they tried (they did twice). The food was just OK and took almost an hour to come to us. We had a gentleman come in and "talk" with us and offered to turn the TV on for some music. He couldn't figure that out as he was trying to play damage control when we mentioned it had been 45mins since ordering. When food did arrive we all kinda looked at each other and gave a "for this" look. Nothing stood out as amazing. Chicken Fried steak was salty and luke warm. Yes we had 11 + dishes coming to us. But we all felt they were left under warming units a little to long. The filets at $65 I believe were small and nothing special at all. Overall we came to this area with all the family for a get together and found other places that were better in our opinion. Reason for three stars- the waitress really did try, I would blame higher up. The food was ok and honestly we made it fun with bantering and making fun of our day, the area, and dinner choice.

Scallops were abysmal, overcooked and chewy. Calamari was average, with the texture of a moist sponge. The lamb entree was excellent and perfectly cooked, paired with a delicious sauce. Staff were friendly and attentive.

J
Jose Ramirez

It took over an hour to get our meal from a valentines menu, I believe should almost be ready to serve since is a premade menu. Some what disappointed, as everyone else who was seated after us got their food first, not acceptable.

S
Stefanie Garcia

Our waitress was fantastic. She kept apologizing that it was taking so long. We were there 3 plus hours. It took two hours to get our dinner. We started looking around and they had new people at every table meaning the people who originally were there had already ate, with new people being seated. The new people received their food. No discount to us. Food arrived cold. The potatoes had sat for too long so they were gummy. First time there and I don't think we would go back.

K
Kai Urima

I ordered the jumbo prawn cocktail as an appetizer for $19, you get five regular sized prawns, nothing jumbo about them. They were not cleaned properly, they still had the majority of the swimming legs attached, and one of them had a black slimy substance on the underside. How they didn’t notice it before they put it on a skewer is ridiculous to me. For my entree I ordered the flank steak, medium. Half of it was well done, the other thicker half was blue, pretty much raw, and there was zero flavor. I don’t think they season it at all, not even salt. I come down to this area fishing 6-8 times a year, this was my first time trying Budd’s and my last. I was dining alone so for $88 they should be embarrassed for presenting what they do.

B
Bob

Table of 4 all got steaks: filet, ny strip, and ribeye. All of the steaks and mashed potato sides were luke warm at most, cold to the touch. The steaks had minimal seasoning besides the funky butter used. Medium rare steak was inconsistent throughout the steak. Medium well steak still had pink inside. NY strip was Prime cut but I question it after eating it, definitely still choice. We did not send the food back but the table next to us had the $160 tomahawk and they had to send it back. Ruth's chris chain is way better while being cheaper. I'll take Outback before this place.
