Visiting my sister in DMV we stop at Olive Garden in Richmond. The food was great and on time. Service was very good the woman who was are server is Skye and extremely pleasant and efficient. One of the best service I've had at an Olive Garden.

The soup was hot (unlike some locations) but the bowl was not even halfway full. However they refills came out back to back , so we had plenty of interaction with the server.. We had a fantastic experience at Olive Garden! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. From the warm, fresh breadsticks to the rich pasta and tasty sauces, it was a real treat for our taste buds. The service was just as impressive! Our waitress, Britney, was incredibly sweet and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us frequently, which made us feel valued as guests. I love Olive Garden. Did a to go order for our 42nd Anniversary Dinner on February 4, 2026.The breads ticks were so hard! I immediately took one out of rhe package to eat on the drive home. They are usually soft, buttery and succulent but not this day. The meal my husband got was a portion for a small child. I live 30 minutes away on a clear day, but the evening traffic caused me to get home an hour later. When he opened his food I could have cried. So disappointed for the money I threw away. Anniversary dinner ruined.

We haven't been to Olive Garden in many year's and were not surprised by many things including waiting to be seated at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, asking not to be seated anywhere cold and then being seated in probably the coldest room in the building. Our waiter appeared and saved the day. He was very courteous, knowledge and organized. He turned our bad experience around quickly. I had the Zuppa Tuscano which used to be my favorite and found it to be thin and watery but still good. I remember it being heartiest. My wife had the Chicken & Gnocchi and it was delicious. We ordered the stuffed Chicken Marsala and a Build your own Pasta with Italian sausage and Bucatini. The build your own pasta was ok, the sausage links were on the small side and sweet rather than spicy, but bathe Marsala Chicken was very good! Again, our server made the evening a hit, not the food which should have been equally as good. We spoke with him and told him how much we enjoyed having him as our server and we would go again but only if he were our server again

Not a fan of this place but my daughter loves pasta. So its quick and easy. Bread sticks and salad are the best thing here. My shrimp was ok. I cant eat the paste here as it always upsets my stomach.

My partner and I stopped in for dinner on Saturday 2/21/26 at 10:00pm. We both worked in food service for years and are always mindful of closing times. Since the restaurant closes at 11:00pm, we felt this was appropriate. When we walked in, a host seated another group but no one acknowledged us. The person at the delivery counter walked past without eye contact, and a server approached us with “Are you here to eat?” followed by “The host will be back.” There was no greeting or welcome, and the overall tone felt cold — as if we had arrived after closing. Once seated, our server took our order promptly, which we appreciated. However, we were told she would “check if there was any salad left” when we asked for a refill. She later mentioned she had asked for more breadsticks to be made but wasn’t sure if anyone heard her. No additional breadsticks were brought, and the situation wasn’t acknowledged again. We also paid in cash, and the change returned required us to go to the front to break a larger bill. The manager confirmed they serve until 11:00pm, though the entire experience felt rushed and unwelcome. We understand it was late in the evening, but with 45+ minutes left before closing, we expected a more hospitable experience. Unfortunately, we left feeling like an inconvenience rather than guests.

Things have definitely changed here, so if you haven't been in a while and are thinking of returning..read this first: I came here with a friend who was celebrating her birthday. We arrived on a Thursday around 4:30pm. When we walked it, it was practically a ghost town. One side of the restaurant wasn't even being utilized. We asked for a booth and we're told we had to wait until someone cleaned a table off and asked to have a seat; keep in mind we could clearly see several empty booths from the podium. However, we sat and waited as others came in and were seated. About 10 minutes went by and a different attendant approached the podium, so we asked him about the seating and why there was a wait. He immediately seated us and guess what, it was in a row of atleast 5 empty booths. Once again, not a packed house by any measure. However, after being seated it was a good 15 minutes before our waitress came and took our order. After about 10 minutes, the waitress brought out my drink but stated she would be back with my friend's drink. After another 5 minutes or so, she returned with her drink. After another wait of atleast 10 minutes, we finally received the salad, breadsticks and our appetizer but guess what, NO parmesan grater!! She said she had to find one and would be back, I also asked her to bring 2 waters back. We waited a good 7,8 minutes before she returned with the grater because I was already half way thru my plate of salad. We asked for more breadsticks as well. which she stated she would bring out with the waters and she came with both about 5 minutes later. About 20 minutes after that, we finally received our food. I ordered the 'endless pasta bowl' which should be renamed the 'dwindling pasta bowl!' Apparently what they do is bring you a large bowl first in an attempt to fill you up or deter you from ordering more because my second bowl was significantly smaller and quite disappointing.. But it was a good 25 minutes before she even came back to the table to take my second order! While we were waiting, I had even pressed the call button on the device they put on the edge of the table which started flashing red. Guess what, she walked right past it, smh. When I flagged her down, she appeared to not even be sure why it was flashing and then I explained to her what I had done. I also explained it was my friend's birthday and asked what they do for birthdays, she stated she could get the manager to "comp" a dessert and they could sing Happy Birthday if she'd like that and my friend said yes and ordered the cheesecake. More time passed and they did eventually return with the dessert and sang for my friend, which she did really enjoy. All in all, the food was good but the wait time and service were downright terrible. On the final check, the dessert was not "comp'd" so I called over the manager. I explained to him we had been there nearly 3 hours, at this point it was almost 7pm and about the service. He said he would como the dessert (which the waitress already said he was going to do and credit $2.99). Absurd! I certainly did not plan to be there that long and I would've complained alot sooner but I didn't want to make a fuss on my friend's birthday. At the end of the day, if you have plenty of time to waste, eat in..but Carry Out is your best option and the 'endless pasta bowl' is a complete sham, stick with the traditionals!

First of all, this is just your typical Olive Garden—nothing particularly special to write home about. However, the other day while dining here, I overheard a conversation that really stuck with me. A lovely bartender had been working hard and serving a woman for quite some time. By the end of the woman’s visit, she decided to leave the bartender a very generous $200 tip. This was a genuinely sweet interaction until a bald manager named John intervened and attempted to deny the bartender her well-earned tip and the kindness shown by the customer. I was completely baffled, especially since the woman was tipping of her own accord and was very insistent on leaving it, clearly impressed and more than satisfied with the service she received. John, however, did not see it that way. He seemed unwilling to let his employee benefit from her hard work and tried to prevent her from keeping the tip. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I know how exhausting and draining the job can be. Moments like this—unexpected generosity from a customer—are rare and mean more to workers than most people realize. Because of this, I was not only disappointed in the management but genuinely disgusted by John’s behavior and conduct as a manager. I have worked in many difficult and high-stress environments where management has been less than desirable, but I have never seen a manager so blatantly attempt to hold an employee back. A manager should value their employees’ growth and well-being just as much as the customer experience, and I did not see that reflected here. Hopefully, this situation is taken seriously and addressed appropriately. Until then, I will not be returning to this Olive Garden, though I truly wish the best for the employees working there.

Looks can be deceiving!!! I was judged the minute I walked in didn't go any further than I liked so I ended up not getting anything to eat, but I felt like I was the target amongst the staff to have something to look at and laughed at while one employee took upon herself to tell me she liked my outfit as I was leaving BUT didn't prefer my service.

We were greeted promptly and seated right away, and the service initially started off well. Our waitress quickly took our drink orders and returned shortly after to take our meal orders. Unfortunately, the experience declined from there. My wife ordered soup as her main course, and it was brought out well before the rest of the table received their meals. The soup did not appear appetizing and had a noticeable layer of oil or residue on the surface. We brought this to the waitress’s attention and sent the soup back. After that point, our waitress was largely absent from the table. At one point we waited nearly 20 minutes without seeing her. When she eventually returned and we paid for the meal, she did not provide a receipt before running the card. When I received the receipt afterward, there were multiple errors on the bill. The soup that had been sent back was still charged, and another item had been entered incorrectly at nearly double the menu price. There were also items listed that we had not ordered. I approached the front to speak with the manager. At that time, our waitress appeared and remained beside the manager during the conversation, which made it somewhat difficult to discuss the issue directly. The manager did issue a refund for my meal; however, the first corrected receipt was still inaccurate and had to be adjusted again. I do not mind paying for a meal or even minor mistakes on a bill, but the number of errors made the situation frustrating. Unfortunately, this experience left a poor impression and makes it unlikely that we will return.

About the worst hostest ever. Literally this olive garden is empty and told me we had a 10 to 15 min wait. Instead of sitting in the lobby so I could start our buisness lunch I asked if we could be seated. She said yes in 10 to 15 min. Than hobbled around the restraunt aimlessly not doing anything but walking around just to make us wait I used to come here atleast 1 time a week because I work right around the corner. This is the last time because of her lack if customer service and attitude. Olive Garden do better and this is the face of your restaurant. I mean isn't your slogan when your here your family... try again.

The Pinacolada was tasting disgusting did not taste like a piñacolada at all, it was more like a vanilla shake, apparently it was a women name Elena who made it but not good at all. The service was horrible.
