Stopped with my family on our way home from a camping trip. Waffles are delicious and very easy to eat on the road. Whether you want sweet or savory, they’ve got you covered. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast or lunch if you’re in the anywhere near. Located in a nursery focused on cannabis, but don’t let that bug you. Super nice folks, very welcoming and great atmosphere.
Awesome flavor, Had OG Dub orignal waffle the best og maple vibe ,The flavor combos are fire. The cinnablond waffle, is a buttery sweet treat, and the backout waffle is creamy and jammy. Gonna try The gig next time.
Fun concept, Delicious waffles, Prompt friendly service.
This place is amazing. It's so cute inside and the service is fantastic. The way they serve the waffles is so clever, and they have sweet and savory choices. Wildwood Waffles is worth a visit (or two or three) while you're visiting Gig Harbor.
We stopped on a 101 road trip due to the good reviews and our expectations were met! Always a good sign when locals are there! Fun spot in the corner of the hardware store! My husband and I split one savory (Benji) and one sweet (Blackout.) They were great! Super friendly staff too! We could even drive with them!
This is a unique breakfast place... We stumbled on Rio Dell looking for a place to sleep and found this gem in the morning. I never had breakfast in a garden center before, Root 101, but this is a great association. The workers are very friendly, the coffee is great, and the artisananly prepared waffle is delicious.
This place on the way to the redwood national park is absolutely mind blowing. I have stopped here every time I am driving up 101. The sweet and savory waffles are all amazing. They have a drive-through option as well. If you are in the area do not miss an opportunity to grab a waffle from this place.
Yay! Sunshine is gone! We will give this place another try after deciding not to return previously due to a Gen Z level of customer service.
I really recommend this place. Everything is made fresh to order so a bit of a longer wait than typical for a drive-thru. Totally worth it though. Especially if you’re planning to eat it on the road - nicely done giving us, waffle lovers, a mess-free way to have a waffle on the road.
Such an awesome place to grab a bite to eat, friendly staff, amazing food, and a 40’ walk to the harbor. Grab a waffle to go and enjoy beautiful Gig Harbor while supporting a local small business.
I’m not sure why they have such low reviews, I literally drive from Kent to get me a wildwood waffle! The sweetness of the maple and waffle mixed with sausage and when the cheese gets that little crisp on it, YUM! I crave these all the time 10/10.
We really enjoyed this place! Fun options and great tasting waffles. It's located in a wonderful little market in downtown Gig Harbor! We brought all the kids and they had a blast. The waffles were easy to cut up for the kids and they ate them like little sandwiches. We got the Banana & Buds for the kids and my wife got the Benji! Recommend checking them out for a fun little breakfast!
What a gem! Stopped by on our road trip through the Redwood Highway. This place is tucked away inside of Root 101 hardware store. Great waffle sandwiches and great coffee. Staff was exceptional! We tried the Benji and Sohum, both were amazing.
Amazing food. Great experience. Nice work ladies. We had a wonderful date.
This place was a total surprise, and I mean that in the best way. When we were looking for it, we could only see a nursery called Root 101, not realizing that Wildwood Waffles is located inside of it. And, of course, that seemed strange to us at first, but it’s really cute. We loved how there were locals there chatting it up with the baristas, who were super friendly. We got two waffles and I got a London Fog latte, and my daughter got a mocha, and everything was outstanding and fresh. What a fun place!
So many options to choose from both sweet and savory!
Ok so this place is a little side breakfast nook located inside of a farming supply store. If you are looking for something for breakfast out of the ordinary, then come here . Soooooogood. The staff was super friendly and cherry also! My wife and I have a weekly tradition of Waffle Thursday. This hit our criteria on many fronts. Go here and eat. Then buy some farming stuff. I bought a fly swatter.....
What a fantastic concept! I tried the special, the Cubano, and it was amazing. These waffles are incredibly versatile, pairing well with more than just the traditional syrup. You can take them to go with an egg, berries, or any way you like. It’s a perfect and convenient breakfast option. As a food blogger, I highly recommend giving this place a try

Awesome selection that is affordable and delicious. Great for grab and go needs. Options to satiate even the pickiest eaters. Will be back for more soon!
Best waffles you’ll have. I have them all and not one I haven’t wanted to eat again. Interesting spot in a market but it makes it fun. Plus they’re all to go so walking down Harborview, with the pup, checking to see if the mountains out tastes so good!!
Absolutely amazing. Their gluten free mix is the best waffle I've been able to eat in 8 years. And the pepper jelly they used on the big papa (I think) perfectly balanced the bacon and sweetness. Great service and conversation as well.
Your one stop shop for great beer, delicious sweet or savory waffles, and anything else you may need. Awesome neighborhood market that offers a good selection of wine, beer and necessities. Beer taps, espresso options and fresh waffles are not to be missed. Several TVs and plenty of seating to enjoy all the games. If you’re lucky enough to have Nicole serve you, she’s always friendly and makes amazing food!
Delicious! Owner recommended one of their specials and it was top tier. Waffles are tasty, soft, yet a slight crunch to them. Like true experts, they brought our toddlers their waffles first! We will be back
Wildwood Waffles is sooo good. The Big Pappa waffle was my favorite — herb cream cheese, jalapeño jelly, and crispy bacon is such a good combo. I’ve also had The Blackout and The Cinnablonde Waffles and loved both. They said they make their batter in-house and I can totally tell. Can’t wait to come back and try more. Yummm! 🧇😋
I got the spam and egg special this morning. It was so so good. Perfect amount of food inside the waffle. They are like waffle tacos. I got a coffee also. Delicious. The service was so good also. The owner was nice, explained everything. They have a small area to sit in also. Its inside a cute little grocery store. I will be back.

The food is delicious at this hole in the wall breakfast spot. But the fact that it is wedged between a convenience store and a bar is very unusual. I look forward to the day that wildwood waffles gets their own shop.
Everyone we know raves about Wildwood Waffles so we stopped by on a road trip south today. First, they were out of bacon which was a huge bummer because I was interested in the peanut butter and bacon waffle. I decided on the SoHum instead, which was interesting - the flavor grew on me by the time I was finished. Unfortunately, our order took an extremely long time to receive and we had an appointment to make. A couple that arrived and ordered their food after us received their order before us, which we found kind of odd. The flavors of the waffles are definitely unique and I would like to try it again someday. Hopefully, these aren't usual circumstances and we will catch them on a better day next time.
Great local owned small business. Customer service was good, lady who took my order was very friendly. I ordered the Benji and a hot chocolate. Highly recommend the Benji, loved the maple butter they use. On the down side, the hot chocolate was not very good. I think they make it with the syrup used for coffee which never tastes right for hot chocolate. Will definitely go back, hoping to try another of the waffles. It is located within a small convenience store. Prices are reasonable for what you get.
Great find. When Devoted Kiss across the street is packed, come here for a great variety of stuffed waffles. AND they make gluten free waffles upon request!
Sweet or savory options! Quiet atmosphere even though it’s a store. Quick “to go” waffles! We sat down at ate, definitely messy so sitting is recommended. Friendly cook. The sausage egg waffle was delicious

Located inside Finholms Market, Wildwood Waffles is serving up waffles in a new way. They call them walking waffles, and they're just that! Take a waffle, choosing from either the 'sweet' menu or 'dude' menu, put your toppings on it, and wrap it in some foil and a napkin and you're good to go! Just wish they served food later than 4pm!
The girl working the counter was extremely rude taking our order, clearly hates her job. Food is great, support the vet ownership, owner should be aware he has an employee actively turning customers away with her horrific attitude.
If you're wondering where this place is, it is located inside the grocery store. This was a tough one because as soon as we showed up, the blonde lady working was in a very bad mood or something. She sat on her phone for a bit before helping us. It seemed as if we were bothering her (her only customers), and she continued to huff and puff at us as she was helping us. After placing our order, we watched her for a bit. She was doing many things and didn't wash her hands at any point while touching all the food with her bare hands. The food is a bit overpriced. For $14, I expected to get a lot more food than I did. But on the plus side, the food was really tasty. The waffles were nice and soft, and the chicken was filled with flavor. I think with a few adjustments, this place could be way better.
I’ll likely try this place again, but order something different. When you say you put eggs on a waffle, you should let people know they’re sliced hard boiled eggs. Not what I was expecting and texturally not the best with a soft waffle. But the waffle was tasty, coffee was good, and service was fine!

The food was average. I had the butter waffle with egg and sausage.its more of a place to eat at after your done hitting the bars . The caramel macchiato I had was horrible watery and no flavor.
Fried chicken soggy and tasted microwaved. Waffle taco is a great concept but I wasn't impressed with cost v. flavor and texture.

I thought it would be fun to take my mom out for waffles on Mother's Day. I had read a review on the Tacoma News Tribune recommending this place. We get there and there are no waffles. We could substitute a Costco croissant or Costco bagel. We didn't really want to deal with the traffic, so we have it a shot. What I didn't realize, there would be no discount. My mom got the chicken and waffle (but on a bagel). They must like Costco, because the chicken was sliced nuggets from Costco. It was almost 20 bucks. I had a croissant with butter: about 12 bucks. We also got two iced coffee, not realizing they charge for ice... Ice. This isn't a destination, or high traffic area. It's Gig Harbor. In the end, I paid almost $50 bucks for a bagel, a croissant, and 2 iced coffees. The worst part was sitting at the window watching the little cafe across the street. Oh well. We laughed over the meal (how ridiculous both the food and price was). At least we have a story to tell now.
I feel betrayed by whoever said the fried chicken and waffles were good. The chicken came out of the microwave stale and soggy, and the waffle was similar to one you'd get for free at a hotel. Service sucked as well, the girl behind the counter couldn't even be bothered to look up from her phone to greet me or take my order.
Went in with my girlfriend and 6 year old daughter. The lady (Blonde) was pretty rude to us, rushing us after about 5 seconds of looking at the menu. Didn't understand why but brushed it off and placed the order, no real interaction after I did, kinda just stood there waiting for a response which didn't happen, just decided to sit down. Recieved my order, said thank you, no response. Sat down to eat and all 3 had sausage/egg and were very cold in the middle. Tried to eat anyways but it was completely cold so went up to ask if it can be fixed. Waited a few minutes respectfully at the counter while being ignored. Eventually was told to just microwave them. Didn't wanna have a resturaunt confrontation over waffles so I did, it was pretty gross, we didn't finish them just threw them away and went about our life. Not sure what the deal was with why we were given that service after reading the great reviews. Maybe or demographic or the server was having a bad day. Was just a horrible experience I don't want to go through again. It does appear others had completely opposite experiences though, this is just mine.
