We chose this place solely on the name, being that we live in and love our Houston pho. This place did not disappoint. Very good! We had the fried chicken dumplings that came with various sauces. They were hot and tasty, and the carrot and cabbage salad was perfecto. My Pho Tai Gan was as legit as can handle. Hot and clean tasting. My son had a banmi and the guy was so proud of it, he called it the star of the show. I've never seen a better looking French bread! We will be back if we are ever in town again. It's a little out of the way, but worth it!
We enjoyed the food! Was happy to find a good authentic Vietnamese place near our work
This place is new to Rio Grande City and I’m finally glad RGC has a good Vietnamese spot. The service from the employees and manager/owner are very good, friendly, and fast. The food has generous portions and taste very good. I had the “Pho Tai Bo Vien” (Pho Soup with sliced filet mignon beef and meatballs), and it was delicious! Hot and savory. Authentic Pho. I also got the “Com Ga Nuong Hot Ga” or (grilled chicken with rice and fried egg). Again, very delicious, and generous portions. I highly recommend those two main dishes. To finish I had a Thai Tea which was refreshing. Overall, I will be back!
Great menus options. And huge plates. Loved the BUN GA NUONG CHA GIO and PHO TOM. Not sure what the sauce was called but it was yum...
I love the calm music/ambiance! I have gone a couple times and they’re always so sweet to our toddlers even when they’re being rambunctious 🥹🥰. WARNING: The pho is addicting!!!
Food was delicious and authentic. The servers were really attentive and nice. I would recommend the thai tea :)
Straight to the point small Vietnamese restaurant with great food, fast service, good vibes, clean restrooms and all the essentials on the menu.

My boyfriend and I are here from Houston visiting and we happened to drive by this place and had to try it. As soon as we walked in we knew the food was gonna be good. We both ordered a soup dish and were each more than satisfied. We also ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and they were sooo good! I definitely would recommend checking this place out!
This is my go-to spot at least three times a week. The food is hot, fresh, and organic. Wonderful place. Wonderful people.
Food was delicious and customer service was on point!! First time eating Vietnamese food and wait to come back for some more
I went to Pho Houston in McAllen and was so excited to learn they were coming to my hometown in Rio Grande. I tried the brisket Pho and the House Fried Rice Pho was hot and so flavorful. The broth was exactly what you'd expect from good pho. Meat was a good portion and so were the rice noodles. Good serving of bean sprouts too. Just all around good pho! Large portion bowl you will fill up pho sure 😁 House Fried Rice- it included shrimp, chicken, and pork and was tasty. Again exactly what you'd expect from Fried rice. And very large portion. The restaurant itself is quiet and well lit but has dark shades to keep out the very hot sun. Great place for date night, family dinner, or hanging with friends. The staff is friendly and waiters are pretty young so don't be rude to them they are learning ❤️ This will be my go-to lunch and dinner spot. Sadly didn't remember to take picture until I was halfway into the bowl 😁
I had the Pho Tai Nam and a Thai Tea. I genuinely believe this is the best Pho and the best Thai Tea that I have ever had. The service was great and I received my food in a very timely manner.
Food was fresh & had amazing flavor! Dining area was clean & servers were very attentive. Will definitely be back!
Excellent soup, my favorite drink is the Vietnamese coffee ☕️. Thai tea is also good, very friendly staff!!!

I ordered their shrimp shumai, and it was very good! Can’t wait to eat it again!

As someone who’s both traveled and lived in Southeast Asia, I can confidently say Pho Huston delivers the real deal. Mr. Jimmy and Kim craft truly authentic Vietnamese dishes at refreshingly fair prices. I especially enjoyed my bowl of pho (pronounced “phu”), which was rich, aromatic, and comforting—just as it should be. The service was equally impressive, with Christine going above and beyond to make the meal feel special. There are many other options on their menu, which are all healthy and tasty. They also have a great range of drinks from Thai Ice Tea to Modelo. It’s absolutely worth the drive, and I’ll be coming back without question. For anyone craving genuine Vietnamese flavors in the valley, Pho Huston should be at the top of your list.

For the first time I ordered a to go plate and asked if I could get oxtail added to my order in which the worker stated it would be an extra $6 dollars and I said it would be okay. When I opened my food this is what I was charged 6 dllrs for and it was not edible at all, the oxtail was extremely tough and unable to be chewed like it had been in the fridge for days. Very dissatisfied

We used to frequent and love this place until yesterday; the Banh Mi was always a must and we enjoyed the "combo" which was the sandwich and a canned drink included. Yesterday I visited with a friend and ordered the usual, including two Banh Mi pork "combos" and the waiter got our drink order (included) and acknowledged the "combo" as still active; we got our order and as usual the food was good but much to our chagrin when it came time to pay we were charged for the drinks; a lady behind the counter let us know that the "combo" was no more. In a "normal" world, they would have honored our "combos" as the waiter had acknowledged them being active but I guess in this abnormal world we're in, the lady behind the counter thought it was more important to get her $3.50 for the drinks, forget our patronage and the waiter forgo his tip; sadly, this is going to be our last trip here. If an owner has the gall to trade customers for $3.50 so be it- that's the price she paid to forgo our business.
