Tutto molto buono, personale cordiale e disponibile, location curata.
A delicious New Year's Eve dinner in a romantic setting with delightful background music from a beautiful baby grand piano played beautifully live.
I spent New Year's Eve here, and what can I say? Everything was excellent. Beautiful location, relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were always very nice and helpful. We'll definitely be back.
On Saturday, December 13th, for my birthday, we went to this restaurant with meticulous attention to detail. We were greeted by a very young but very knowledgeable, kind, and friendly waiter. The dishes were carefully prepared and everything was delicious, even the homemade bread. For dessert, I ordered the amazing rose cake, which even came with candles. Everything was truly perfect, and to top it off, we even saw shooting stars. Top!! We'll definitely be back.
Locanda Sensi is a beautiful place, nestled in the green hills of Piacenza. We visited for a tasting dinner featuring the new menu, and the culinary and service experience was excellent. The grilled dishes were unique and delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. We also had the opportunity to tour the two suites and are sure to return soon for a relaxing weekend, also taking advantage of the treatments and massages at the on-site wellness center.
Wonderful location, nestled in the Piacenza valleys. The owner, Simone, is always very kind and helpful, and the staff is very knowledgeable and polite. The food is a true journey through flavors! I recommend this restaurant because it's unique!
I went to Locanda Sensi for dinner and can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've had in recent years. The cuisine won me over. Each dish was perfectly balanced: clean, intense flavors, never overpowering. You can taste the passion of those who carefully consider each ingredient. The grill adds that unique touch that makes everything recognizable and "Sensi-style." Excellent raw materials, prepared without overdoing it, with meticulous attention to detail. The service is impeccable: attentive, friendly, never intrusive. A care that isn't ostentatious, but natural. The spaces are also wonderful: warm, bright, with attention to detail, reflecting the same philosophy as the cuisine. I left feeling like I'd experienced something special: an evening that lingers, but above all, one that makes you want to return and bring your loved ones with you. Congratulations indeed: Locanda Sensi is a place that knows how to welcome, excite, and make you feel at home.
A charming location nestled in the green hills of Piacenza; the welcome is warm and friendly, and once you sit at the table, you sense intimacy and relaxation. Simone (the owner) is a delightful, empathetic, and highly competent person, as are the chefs, who amaze you with exquisite gourmet dishes, from appetizers to dessert. The wine and spirits menu offers a wide selection, some artisanal. There are two suites, each more beautiful than the other, equipped with an in-room sauna and hot tub, a spa, and a soothing Zen garden. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back ❤️
A few minor difficulties with the GPS getting there, but everything was TOP! The location, menu, wine list, and recommendations from the owner—an enchanting place. A talented harpist provided the background music for the evening. Everything was perfect, including, of course, the dishes: among the dishes we tried were the incredible pisarei, brilliantly reinterpreted, and a masterpiece of tiramisu. I'll be back to try the meats. I have no hesitation in recommending this place!
A true gem! A very calm place, perfect for fully savoring what the food has to offer. An explosion of flavors, a subtle and masterful blend of tastes that completely won me over. Each dish is a discovery, a unique culinary experience. The quality/price ratio is more than justified; you definitely get your money's worth. A fabulous combination of finesse, originality, and generosity. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's a hidden gem not to be missed!
Restaurant Review Lunch on April 25th, probably at the best restaurant I've visited in the last year. Impeccable service; everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, from the chef to the staff. The attention to detail and the meticulous care with which the ingredients are selected and prepared are perfectly evident. The "Sensi" tasting menu was well-balanced (not too many courses, just the right amount), even at the price. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Thanks to everyone in the kitchen and dining room 🫶🏻
I tried a special tasting, which included non-alcoholic mocktails paired with the chef's dishes. The location is very chic and minimalist, perfectly suited to my tastes. The location is a little inconvenient only because of the dirt road, but it makes up for it with a beautiful view of the hills. Five amazing courses. The ingredients were of very high quality and the preparations were truly creative. I really enjoyed the grilled duck; it was fabulous. The mocktails were also truly unique and special. The fact alone paired a delicious non-alcoholic gin and tonic with a risotto speaks volumes about the quality of the place. The owner is very friendly; he even offered us an extra non-alcoholic gin. All for €65, a very fair price in my opinion.
Amazing place, great experience. Food was delicious, high quality ingredients and authentic experience. Consigliato!
Location molto curata e particolare.
Over the years, the road to the restaurant has improved, with no potholes and much smoother. The magnificent grand piano is no longer in the dining room. The chairs are very heavy to move, and the glass backs, while very scenic, I found a bit too straight, resulting in a slight backache during the evening. The service was perhaps overly generous upon arrival, only to be lacking on several occasions during the dinner. I disagree with the decision not to leave a bottle of wine at the table, but to come specifically to refill glasses whenever they were empty or half-empty. The dishes are above-average prices, despite the restaurant being nestled in the hills... so in my opinion, they should lower these prices a bit to attract more customers (for example, I'm from Parma, so I'll definitely avoid returning, since I can easily stay in the center of Piacenza to spend this kind of money). The portions are truly paltry. €20 for six salmon bites. The "Salame 3 DOP with giardiniera for €18" was good, but the giardiniera was really too little. The bread was good. The first course, "spaghettone," was good, at €18, disproportionately priced for two dishes but a very small portion. And here's where they forgot to bring the parmesan. Then we ordered a Florentine steak for two (€88 for a Florentine steak). We asked for it to be medium rare, but it arrived half raw, and I only managed to eat three pieces of fillet, while the entire remainder of the sirloin was inedible. They also forgot to bring us oil/salt/pepper, which I went to look for myself in the dining room but couldn't find, and we had to wait for the waiter to return to ask for them. As a side dish to the Florentine steak, there were two small plates of baked potatoes, which seemed lukewarm on the outside but were scorching on the inside, and we both burned our tongues... Not good enough! At the end of the evening, we weren't offered any digestifs, as we've often been to in almost every restaurant we've been to. Even the two lemons we ordered were regularly charged €10. A €1 discount on the receipt. The final bill was a steep €215. I don't think we'll be back.
Mediocre experience. After hearing so much about this place, we went for dinner last night. The off-menu menu included dishes with white truffle, and we chose two of them, a first course and a second course. We were told that the truffle would be added directly in the kitchen, 5g per dish... so it wasn't. I'm attaching a photo. Furthermore, we paid the bill in cash, leaving it on the table. When we left (even though we'd been standing at the register for 10 minutes), a lady asked us to wait to check if we'd actually left the money, with the excuse of needing to give us a receipt. When she came down with the bill of almost €400 (2 adults and a child; I won't argue about the price because we're used to it, but I'm certainly not running away), she said goodbye, leaving us the PRE-BILL, not the receipt. After that, I convinced my husband to go in and ask for the receipt because I don't like cheats. Too bad, it's all talk and no action!
Beautiful location. Much less so. We chose the tasting menu, which is supposed to speed up the service, but no: between the appetizer and the first course, we waited over 1.5 hours, only to be served a paltry portion of cold pasta. I wonder how someone could serve something like that? Their courage is commendable! Followed by a small handful of undercooked pasta and beans. Finally, we finished lunch tediously after over three hours. Rather than slow food, I'd call it sleep food. The food alone cost €70 (absolutely outrageous) and left us feeling bitter. I wouldn't recommend it.
Great location, great food but exaggerated prices for the location. It's true that we arrived late (only 30 minutes) and we were charged a service charge as a no show and I only found out when I got the bill There wasn't even an agreement made. Not to mention the cold water in the tub.... There are different ways to treat customers. I don't recommend it as a place to stay. Definitely too expensive
It was our anniversary (six years of marriage), and for such a special occasion, my husband, our daughter, and I wanted to treat ourselves to a wonderful culinary experience at one of the top-notch restaurants listed on the Fork website... I'm used to this role in my family, and I like to review the places I've been every now and then, to share the experience and help others choose their favorites, so as not to have as many bad memories as we had at this "restaurant," if we can call it that! Granted, to get there, we had to travel along dirt roads in the fog, because the place isn't as easily accessible as described... But despite that, when we finally arrived, we were greeted by staff who, given the setting, should have been more selective, since the waitress didn't really understand what we were asking for or what we needed... (maybe she was a foreigner 🤔) Before going to this "restaurant" and ordering the fish dishes, seeing on the website that the reviews and photos only mentioned meat, I asked via WhatsApp if it was on their menu and they assured me it was. It was just a scam! We ordered a bottle of good wine and another unlikely waiter filled our glasses and, without asking, took the bottle away. My husband politely asked him to leave it on our table, since we had ordered it... (We've never had such poor and inexperienced service in any restaurant we've been to). After a tiny appetizer, consisting of four unspecified items—a hodgepodge of flavors, basically—they brought us the lobster linguine we'd ordered, but there wasn't even a hint of lobster in it! Just tiny, frozen pieces of something or other, which they cleverly thought they'd pass off as lobster. (But they didn't know that my husband worked in the restaurant business for years and comes from a family of restaurateurs.) I love cooking, and I've never seen a seafood linguine dish like this, with so much chili pepper! (They were trying to disguise the flavors😐) Then the main course was an octopus, or rather, a tentacle, tough and inedible, which they must have defrosted and microwaved. My six-year-old daughter, who is a huge meat eater like us, asked for a fillet and they brought her an entrecote (quite different in flavor and tenderness), inedible! (By the way, every time we ordered meat, they always asked us how it was cooked, especially to a six-year-old girl!) My daughter only ate a small piece, because after such a long walk and slow service, she was hungry! Finally, we ordered a tiramisu for the little one, which to convince us to have, they reassured us that there would be no coffee for the little one... False! Then they justified themselves, saying it was barley coffee😑.... And I won't add anything else😡. Finally, we ordered two barrel-aged grappas which, poured from a large bottle, they passed off as grappa, given that the barrel-aged flavor is unmistakable! (another scam) The reviews are definitely from an old management, because with the new year, this "restaurant" should just close! (see my photo of the prices) The financial police should be sent in, and there's no guarantee they won't, considering they ruined my anniversary... Never again!
HORRIBLE!!! THE OWNER IS RUDE! Lack of professionalism, very beautiful location, but unfortunately the treatment we received from the owner was HORRIBLE. He provided no information and poor service about the property, and the room was cold and unheated (we were told it wasn't winter yet). He was rude both before and after arriving, after a 6-star review on Booking.com. He called my partner, threatening her and raising his voice to take her to court, saying we didn't know who we were dealing with, and we didn't know who he was. He told her to wait for his letter from the lawyer. He made shrill noises and barked at us during conversations and on the phone, which is shameful to say the least. Don't go there, we don't recommend it. Such rudeness I've never seen before! We thought we'd have a nice weekend, but this gentleman ruined everything. He didn't give us anything free, and for the price we paid, the service and treatment weren't up to par. Perhaps we should have hired a lawyer!
Don't go there, the owner after having put the review on Booking rating 6 called me telling me how I dared to put a review like that, he threatened to take me to court, and that we don't know who he is, making dog noises saying that he recorded the call 😂 SHAMEFUL, something like this has never happened, even one star is too much.
