This little"dive"is the bomb! Don't eat out often due to dietary constraints but if I have a morning appointment or fasting bloodwork, Lolly's Hut is the perfect reward. Big portions perfectly cooked and served up quickly and efficiently. If you're going to cheat, cheat here!

Great prices and small, old-fashioned, family environment. The menu is limited because they stick to the staples but it's very well worth it. We came at 11 am on a Monday and had to wait outside (area is a bit small) but a table quickly opened up. There are limited tables but seats along the counter. Everything was very quick. Cash-only establishment and food (particularly their home fries - best places keep the skin on) is delicious. Thank you guys for the best food we've had so far on our vacation out here.

Yes, it's mostly locals and that should be expected. Old fashioned and basic no frills food. Great service, great pancakes loaded with butter! The place is old, could be cleaner I guess, but that did not take away from the good food and atmosphere.

This place is so unassuming, and we couldn't be happier we came. The pricing is unbelievable, and the food is way better than anywhere else around. You could pay twice the price and still not get nearly as good service or food. Highly recommend!

An amazing place. I love that 'years ago' style and friendly atmosphere. Its like 'Cheers' where everyone knows your name and greets you with a big smile and big hello. The food is terrific and pricing from yesteryear. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a hamburger deluxe for $6.99....... everyone else is charging way more and you get less elsewhere. A++ from me and I love making that one of my favorite eating places.

My husband and I parked our big red rig right in front. Went in for some homemade chicken soup and a couple of hearty sandwiches. Lolly's team gave us that and more. Went there for breakfast today for my moms birthday and traveled 70 miles and it was so worth it!! Waitress was amazing and as we were leaving lolly gave my mom a coffee mug. Breakfast was amazing and the prices are great!! Would definitely go there again and again

I haven't had this good of an experience in a restaurant in a very long time. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was great, and by far the most reasonable option you could get anywhere on long island. Not only was the staff very nice everyone inside seemed to know each other and were all overly nice as well. It is cash only.

Lolly’s Hut is classic and American. Women behind the counter are great and the food is exactly what you’re looking for when you go to a diner. You can definitely feel a sense of community as a mix of regulars and tourists (like us!) are welcomed warmly. We both had a great meal with the #3 combo (pancakes, 2 eggs, home fries, and sausage) though it took much longer than we expected. Still it was all right because we got to sit next to a wonderful older gentleman named Mr. Petty. Had a great conversation with him and were honored to pay for his meal. Cash only business which keeps the costs surprisingly low in this super inflated world. Had a great time for an easy and delicious meal and will definitely stop by again next time we’re out on the island.

We were looking for a breakfast place a few weeks ago, found this place on a google search and gave it a shot after reading good reviews. Awesome home cooking feel in this old school luncheonette comes with good food and better than reasonable prices. My wife and I shared the Plantation breakfast which comes with eggs, bacon , sausage, potatoes toast and 2 nice sized pancakes. We got a side of corn beef hash, plenty of food for 2 everything was great. We’ll be back maybe try lunch next time.

This is a throwback to earlier times when people consistently came to a favorite small and I mean small, diner. Food is so affordable and delicious. When was the last time you paid $1.50 for a cup of coffee! Limited menu featuring many breakfast and lunch items cooked on the grill. Limited seating due to size. Friendly waitstaff and a counter where you can watch the cook. A favorite with locals.

Definitely worth the visit...and if ya need to wait a little bit for a table...Definitely want to. My wife and I went for breakfast and got the #3, a side of pancakes and an egg sandwich. As a chef by trade I was seriously impressed with the quality of food and the staff's fast accurate and friendly service. This is definitely a local favorite spot. In short if you want great fast service and delicious food Lolly's Hut is a great choice. (Parking is limited for larger vehicles) We will be back again.

Very very cool OG diner serving a simple classic and delicious menu. Their pancakes, especially the blueberry are amazing.. fluffy, with a perfect thin buttery crust around the outside. Lolly the owner still cooks there on Wednesdays snd the place was packed and I loved how everyone knows her and she knows everyone's names. Eggs and omelets were cooked perfectly. And Lolly cooked the potatoes by where she was cooking the sausages and bacon so all that yumminess and flavor was mixed together. Server kept the drinks flowing and always checked in with us. I'm so glad this place is still not only surviving but thriving!

Found this local gem on Google. Just what we were looking for on a cool fall afternoon. A plain small diner style place with good food, nice people, and fair prices! I had a mushroom and Swiss burger with well done fries. Cooked a perfect medium as requested. My friend ordered the Western style omelette with cheddar and home fries. I’ll put it this way, not a crumb was left on our plates! Good coffee. It was Halloween and the costumed waitress was applying temporary tattoos. Very fun. This is not a fancy place and it’s small, but you get that small town charm and good food. Nothing to complain about here.

Of all the years I've lived in Riverhead, I'd never been here. It's a tiny place and seems it is always packed. I now understand why. The people are incredibly friendly and attentive. Huge, delicious portions. The only downfall is the size of the place. You may have to eat at the counter, but the food is worth trying.

Lolly's Hut is like eating at Grandma's. Small, cozy dining experience. Had two stools and counter seating. Menu is a perfect size. Doesn't take long to know what you want and the food comes out quickly. I am gluten free, but I hear the blueberry pancakes are delicious if you're interested in pancakes. I love the kielbasa. It is scrumptious. Great prices, great food, great service, bring smaller bills to pay, they do not take big bills. We will see you soon :) thanks for a delicious brekky!

No frills breakfast and lunch spot. They have the fluffiest pancakes, delicious eggs and hearty sausage. Get the number 3, it is very filling and you'll want to wipe the plate clean. And you get all of this and a cup of coffee for under $10! Sit at the counter so that you can ogle other people's meals to give you a better idea of what to try the next time you eat there. The service was quick and the cook was sporting a Coast Guard shirt so you know that her attention to detail is on point! Go Coast Guard!!! Highly recommend this place but it is also very busy so plan to wait a few minutes to be seated since it's a small place.

Oh my goodness! This place is heaven and family at the same time. The regulars and the newcomers mesh well and laughter and the chatter is absolutely what everyone needs to experience.

Lolly still man's the massive griddle that is smack dab in the middle of bar stool seats where a hungry crowd,socially distanced, form to eat some of the best no frills, stick to your gut, home style cooked brekkies and lunch items. Lolly's hut is THE place where bikers, riverhead raceway racers, snooty snoots and every color of the human race all convene to eat and be accepted as their true genuine self, unless you have an attitude then your SOL and she and her staff will firmly ask you to leave (and I'm sure all of her regulars would chime in too). Lolly and her staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel like they are home. I liked overhearing one faithful customer who said that Lolly has been feeding him for the past 50 years...20 years as a waitress and 30 years while being the proprietor of this little gem. Decor is dated but whimsical and clean. I wish I got our waitress's name, slight blonde with a tattoo on her forearm... because she was so personable, unobtrusively attentive and just all around great. Lolly offers a good variety of breakfast items, hot and cold lunch sammies and some fried basket goodies like fried chicken and shrimp. Prices vs. portions are very generous and fair too. I love that Lolly griddles up the bacon when ordered instead of having a stack of precooked bacon sitting on the griddle from hours before. If you're snooty and looking for white glove service, please save your negative unwarranted review and your attitude and leave the tables open for people who really want a good hearty meal in a place where being your true authentic self is everything. No, the service is not as polished as you will find in other places but its not what this place is about. It's not polished or refined but the food is fabulous and the portions generous. It's 1975. Your in a basic fill your belly breakfast and lunch eatery. Good non-fancy food at prices you haven't seen in decades. Lot's of local folk eat here. If you want fancy hipster style food with ten different flavored coffees to choose from don't eat here. If your looking to be transported back in time to a Era long gone with 50's style bar stools etc etc then come here. Lolly has its place as an alternative to the hipster breakfast scene.

I happen to be passing through Riverhead on business. A friend of mine said to me that I couldn’t go through Riverhead without stopping at lolly’s hut for breakfast he recommended the kielbasa and eggs. The food was excellent as was the service. This place is the epitome of a hometown “greasy spoon”

Total throwback to the old school diner. Best part is it's not built to be a throwback it's the real deal. Ladies run it smooth and easy. Grill right there food is basic in the best way. My niece who is a tough to impress teen said they have the best chicken tenders. Had breakfast today the french toast was yummy, coffee tasty and plentiful. Poached eggs were done right and the sausage were patties. Home fries no peppers yay. Service, good food and no pretense. Winner! "Don't order the poached eggs. I overheard the cook tell another customer one of the two things she hates to cook "that they take too much time and attention".

The food is really good. Love the old school dinner feel. My only complaint is that we waited a while for the food. I noticed that they would serve the “regulars” first that came in 15-20 mins after us ordering and they received there food first. I sat with 2 young toddlers that were hungry so watching other people get there food first that clearly got there way after us and ordered annoyed me. But overall the staff is very friendly and the food is good.

Avoid this place at all costs. Despite being adored by the locals this place is salmonella waiting to happen. Food was mishandled, then poorly prepared and served without regard for consumption. Specifically, and egg sandwich with kielbasa is hard to mess up but my one over easy egg, was fried hard and the kielbasa was chunky and undercooked.

I have stopped by on numerous occasions. Only once have they been open . Every other time I go the door is locked. They have hours posted but never honor them. Eaten there once and the food is good but not that good. I won't stop anymore. If my son hadn't have liked it so much the the first time I would have given up the last time. Never again.

Quaint local place that favors the locals. Sat at the counter for a half hour for a plate of eggs while people came in after us & got served right away. I'm all for a "greasy spoon", but Lolly's idea of cleanliness is wiping her hands on her apron. She handled money then went right back to slabbing bacon on the grill. Food was okay. I really wanted to like this place, but the service was awful!

Absolutely horrible experience screwed up our order completely. Have 1 person sitting at 4 person tables while party's of 3 cram at bar. They served the people to our right and left and both got there after us. It's also in horrible need of being updated needs a good cleaning!!! Sorry not one to write a bad review but this was beyond tolerable!!!!!!

Hostess missing, presumably abducted. Two people taking orders in a 30 table restaurant. Waited 45 minutes for eggs. EGGS. On a Sunday. Know how many people should be back there slinging eggs on a Sunday? Me neither, but then again I don’t run a restaurant. Nobody’s running this restaurant either. Maybe the missing hostess is, I dunno. Did she make the potatoes? They were so dry maybe she fried them in dust. Whoever is running this place needs to read their reviews and/or hire more people. And a hostess. And someone who can make breakfast potatoes, which honestly isn’t too hard.

Absolutely horrible. My family was seated and some locals got seated after us. We ended up waiting an hour to get our food. The locals ended up getting their food before us. Our waitress with the Charlie and the chocolate factory hair cut was very rude and gave us an attitude the entire time. By the time we got our food, the other locals were already leaving. The food was not all that great either. I’m always a good tipper but this waitress and establishment didn’t deserve it. I watched as our waitress catered to the locals respectfully and always checked on them to see if everything was okay. She didn’t come up to us once to ask if the food was okay or for any refills on coffee or drinks. Overall very very bad experience. Unless you’re a local, don’t go to this establishment unless you want to ruin your own day. Definitely not worth coming.
