Sometimes it's reductive to write a review, as in this case! I'm not exaggerating when I call this property "perfect in every way." From the rooms, to the breakfast, to the restaurant, to the service and cleanliness, to the professionalism of the reception staff, you can feel the superior quality! The best accommodation in the entire area, far superior to all the others.

I haven't tried the hotel, but I had the absolute pleasure of dining at the restaurant with my family. One of the best dining experiences of my life. The interior is elegantly furnished, while the outside terrace overlooks the mountains. The staff is incredibly courteous and helpful, with just the right amount of presence. And, finally, the food is excellent across all courses: appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. The price is well worth the experience! Absolutely not to be missed if you're in Roccaraso or the surrounding area!

We are at the restaurant here only and it was so delicious and beautifully decorated inside. The service was wonderful and I would highly recommend coming here for the food, not to mention the away winning steak/meat they provide!

Highly recommend!!! There is nothing negative to say about this place. As we were traveling with bikes they were very helpful to store our bikes in a safe location. The friendliness and service was impeccable. The room was large, tastefully adorned and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic! But what really blew us away was the beautiful breakfast laid out for us in the morning. Fresh kiwi and blood oranges sliced, fresh homemade pastries and scrambled eggs. That is a treat in Italy as it is not the traditional food, but they were surprising us because they knew our background. I will always remember my stay there fondly.

The restaurant is inside the hotel, the furniture is very typical of mountain places, and there are several tables. The service personnel is also dressed with typical clothes and the resulting atmosphere is very nice. The food is very good with several dishes prepared with local ingredients, there is also a very interesting selection of meat. The wine list is quite big with almost all the Italian regions most representative wines. The price is right considering the quality.

We stayed just one night and were so impressed! The staff helped us to organize a spa day and bike rental at the last minute. However the best part of the hotel is definitely the restaurant. It was one of the best meals I had in Italy. Ottimo!

On our trip, we dined and stayed at the Hotel Le Ortensie. The outdoor setting, surrounded by greenery, with convenient parking, and the indoor one, evoke the warmth of a mountain chalet. The room is well-kept and complete, although small. The family restaurant is noteworthy, from the cuisine to the service, and the food, especially the meat dishes, not to be missed. Even dessert, quality and attention to detail, served by the attentive and kind staff, are evident.

Ho solo cenato in questo ristorante e hotel quindi non posso dare opinioni sulle camere. La location esternamente è molto suggestiva, direi anche all’interno, dando l’impressione di essere in una baita di montagna. Io ci sono stata nel periodo natalizio quindi era completamente decorata il che l’ha resa ancora piú accogliente. La cena però è stata alquanto deludente. Il mio antipasto, una polenta fritta con fonduta, a dir poco ridicolo (mi dispiace non aver fatto foto): dei quadratini di polenta davvero infinitesimali impiattati anche male con una ciotolina di fonduta affianco. Il mio primo, un tagliolino al tartufo, buono ma non eccezionale. Carta vini molto fornita indubbiamente. Direi però prezzi ingiustificati per la qualità della cena. Forse in zona Roccaraso spicca, ma non ci tornerei.

Locale situato poco fuori dal centro di Roccaraso. Sono stata solo al ristorante non in hotel. Cibo buono, con personale professionale . Il menù ha una media scelta di cibi tra antipasti, primi e secondi. Tutta la carne ad eccezione del maialino è’ tutta a peso . I primi sono discretamente buoni, ma la quantità, a mio modesto parere, è un po’ scarna ….il secondo buono . Dolce , sfera al pistacchio nel mio caso, buono, ma non penso valga 9 euro…. Il locale è accogliente, caldo, ma penso che i prezzi siano eccessivi. Il menù era visionabile anche dal sito, solo che ho notato variazioni di pietanze e prezzi rispetto a quello visionato nel locale . Comunque è stata una piacevole esperienza.

Siamo stati al ristorante e devo dire che siamo rimasti davvero molto delusi. Tralasciando il fatto che ci abbiamo chiesto un acconto di 30€ a persona per bloccare il tavolo (che possiamo ancora comprendere essendo in tanti e avendo prenotato per il sabato sera), abbiamo mangiato cibo mediocre ma il problema è stato il servizio… i camerieri erano scortesi, ci hanno trattato con superficialità, accompagnando il tutto con battutine sul fatto che avessimo ordinato solo primi piatti e non la carne che evidentemente è la nuova pietanza dei ricchi. Per concludere ci hanno addebitato sul conto una bottiglia di vino in più e abbiamo impiegato più di 10 minuti per ricevere un minimo di attenzione dal camerieri che aveva preso la comanda. Carina la divisa da tirolesi ma sarebbe meglio essere cortesi. Insomma, cibo mediocre e personale scortese.

TUTTA APPARENZA E POCA SOSTANZA! Servizio delle ragazze impeccabile, ma forse il punto è che devono cambiare chef. Piatti belli da vedere e non buoni da mangiare. Qualità della materia prima scarsa. I primi erano di un brutto e di un acidità sembrava pasta e panna andata a male. Venendo dalla ristorazione il buon palato non ci manca e questo ristorante non vale quello che sembra. Evitate di andarci perché ci sono tanti altri posto meno belli, ma con qualità top!

Sono stato al ristorante Le Ortensie a Roccaraso e purtroppo l'esperienza è stata deludente. Il servizio è stato pessimo, il personale sembrava disinteressato e poco professionale. Abbiamo aspettato a lungo per essere serviti.il personale non era cordiale e sembrava che non gli importasse della nostra esperienza. Non consiglierei questo ristorante a nessuno. A terrible and unacceptable experience at Le Ortensie restaurant in Roccaraso, despite the restaurant's fame. Lunch with my family: initially, everything was normal; we ordered and waited. Suddenly, the waitress spilled red wine on the table, the glass broke, and most importantly, it severely stained my fur bag. Things can happen, of course, but what was NOT acceptable was that not even a "sorry" arrived, nor a question to ask if I had repaired the damage. Zero attention, zero empathy. We paid the bill of €305.00 and left. After about 20 minutes, we were called because "they couldn't find the bill." I suggested they check the cameras, because it was obviously impossible for us not to have paid. After another 15 minutes, they called us back, saying that the cameras also didn't show the payment, implicitly making me feel like I was being treated like a thief. This deeply annoyed and offended me. At that point, I told them I would return to the scene and call the police. The result? A 40-minute drive back wasted, only to discover they'd accidentally thrown the bill in the trash. No advance call to avoid the trip, a hasty apology, and no one present: neither the manager nor the owner. A resounding double blunder, handled with a total lack of professionalism, organization, and respect for the customer. As for the food: overrated, exorbitant prices for absolutely average dishes; there's much better in the area. NEVER AGAIN. Zero consideration, zero professionalism, zero respect.
