New City is 5/5 stars for me the place is very clean and cozy. The staff is friendly and the breakfast sandwiches are great. I had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant and a large iced latte for 12 dollars.

Excellent coffee and food! They roast their own stuff but more than anything they are an organization with a vision and mission to help others so not only do you get to enjoy great coffee but you support local and your community at the same time.

Such a great little place! I had an amazing gingerbread latte (better than the one Starbucks used to have!) and my husband had a hazelnut latte. The staff were so friendly and helpful with their recommendations. Will definitely come again!

Beautiful interior, lots of extra seating! The pumpkin spice coffee was so good along with the breakfast bagel sandwich, it had so much yummy cheese on it and was melted just right! The pastries were fresh and delicious. Great selection, super friendly staff, atmosphere and prices! We’ll definitely be back!

Such an amazing spot, I love coming here! Everyone is so nice and their products are superb. Not only is this helping to revitalize the neighborhood but it always brightens up my day to come in. And they allow me to bring my pups in which makes it that much easier to stop and grab coffee when I'm running errands with them!

I first visited in 2018 and I can for sure say that these folks are committed to excellence. It’s a coffee shop that serves the community. The coffee is great! They even partnered with a local Black Owned Coffee Roaster “Bold & Gritty”. They have good food options and in my humble opinion they’ve got the best vegan breakfast sandwich in Rochester, NY! They also have a wide variety of coffee beans as well as good selection of Kombucha.

This is a hidden gem! Perfect shop to hang with friends or get some work done. Their Guatemala blend is absolutely delicious and so easy to drink black. Lots of tea and beverage options for kids and anyone not crazy about coffee too. Great, stylish, bright layout, clean restroom, awesome food with plenty of tasteful vegetarian and vegan options provided by the Red Fern, another Rochester gem. I don't think you can ask for more!

Went to Rochester Airport to pick up family early in the morning and headed to New City Cafe. Atmosphere and staff amazing. All made to order so it maybe slower than what you may want. We were not in a hurry so enjoyed and everything was good. Relaxing, peaceful and friendly. Great spot for light breakfast and brew.

Upon arrival, it was quite smoky inside and the cashier acted very uninterested. The latte I got was good (not too sweet, yay!), but I waited 40 minutes for my “to go” breakfast sandwich. I wasn’t agitated, just surprised more than anything else (i know how it is to be short staffed - if that’s even the case). Side note: there wasn’t a great dessert selection. Overall, waiting in the smoke was the most unfortunate because I was insecure of the smell for the rest of the day’s errands. Oh well, first world problems I guess. I will probably try this place one more time just in case it was a bad day.

My mom, cousin and I were excited to check this place out on Friday. However, we never got the opportunity. We walked in the girl behind just looked at us and I said for 3 people. Again she looked clueless. I said we’re dining in & I asked if we sit ourselves. Since she hasn’t said one word yet. We sat down and waited about 5 minutes. No one came over and there were no menus. My cousin said she had to look around for the menus because once again the girl at the front well behind the counter didn’t assist. We started looking at the menu and another 5 minutes or so went by, no one came. I told them let’s go because clearly they didn’t need or service. No one greeted us or told us we had to sit ourselves. Not one utter word. Again, as we were walking out still nothing from the woman. One thing about me, I don’t start where I’m not welcome.
