Gets pretty busy in the evening during the weekend but the food and service is worth it. The owners grandson John Anthony was awesome. He was top notch when it came to customer service and making sure we had what we needed before we even knew it. Food is delicious. Atmosphere gives the feel of a comfy Italian restaurant. On this visit we ordered as our main dishes crab raviolis, chicken piccata. Everything was delicious. Returned today. Ok ok. My bad. His name is James Angelo 😂😂😂. He told me the staff has given him a hard time about the mix up. He's wonderful
This calzone was so good. The single serving was eaten 2/3 of the way in the picture and I was full. I got it with mozzarella ricotta, pepperoni, sausage, and meatball. Oh so good! Military veteran discount. Highly recommended
Came here for Valentine’s Day. The staff were fantastic and attentive. They were quick to introduce themselves and grab drinks. The fresh bread with oil is exceptionally delicious and I could probably eat two loafs of just bread. I recommend the garlic bread appetizer as it was flavorful and fresh. I had Gino’s Combo and it was amazing. A little Alfredo, some chicken parm, and meat lasagna. Everything was excellent and the flavors were delightful. The chicken was especially well done, with a delicious breading and tender high quality meat. To top it all off they handed out discount coupons and a rose. Great example of a business caring about their customers and going the extra mile. It would be a mistake not to come here. I’ll definitely be back! I’d say the only downside is the parking lot gets full very fast, but that’s not the owners or staffs fault, and you just have to be patient finding a spot.
I recently visited Gino's for lunch with my work colleagues, and what an incredible experience it was! I ordered the spinach ravioli with creamy pesto sauce, and I'm still thinking about it till date. The dish was absolutely exceptional – each ravioli was perfectly cooked, tender yet with just the right bite. The creamy pesto sauce was a revelation: rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced without being heavy. You could taste the freshness in every component, and the flavors came together in perfect harmony. I savored every single bite. The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a work lunch – comfortable enough to relax but with great energy. Our group had a wonderful time, and the service complemented the outstanding food. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine that truly delivers on taste, Gino's is the place. The spinach ravioli alone is worth the visit, but I have a feeling everything on their menu is just as thoughtfully prepared. I'm already planning my next visit to explore more of their offerings. Highly recommend!
This restaurant didn’t just serve dinner — it delivered a full-blown Italian experience. From the moment we walked in, the aroma alone told us we were in for something special. And it did not disappoint. We brought a friend who actually lived in Italy for a long stretch — someone who grew up eating the real stuff daily — and even they were floored. They said the flavors took them straight back to their hometown trattoria. That’s not something you hear in the U.S. very often. The food? Next level. The kind of rich, layered flavors you only get when someone refuses to cut corners. The pasta was perfection. The sauces were deep, slow-cooked, and absolutely authentic. Every bite tasted like it had a story behind it. The staff treated us like family — not fake “scripted” service, but genuine hospitality. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail. If you want Italian that slaps you in the face with authenticity and sends you home planning your next visit before you even hit the parking lot, this is your spot. I’d give them six stars if I could.
I don’t hand out praise easily, but this place earned every bit of it. We had someone at our table who actually lived in Italy for years — someone who knows what real Italian food is supposed to taste like — and even they said this was the most authentic Italian they’ve had outside of Italy. That tells you everything. The sauces were bold and done the right way, not watered down or Americanized. The pasta tasted like it was made that morning. Every dish had that perfect balance you only get when a chef actually cares about tradition, not shortcuts. Service was sharp, friendly, and totally on top of things without hovering. The atmosphere felt like a small family place you’d stumble into in Florence or Bologna — warm, relaxed, and done right. If you want real Italian, not some chain pretending to be Italian, this is it. No question. I’ll be back, and I’ll tell everyone I know to come here too.
Had a wonderful experience at Gino’s! The ambience is really nice and rustic, which makes it feel warm and inviting. We tried the ravioli and pasta, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The bread was also fresh and tasty. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. Overall, a really nice spot for Italian food — I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian flavors.
We had dinner at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Round Rock to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. We tried a variety of dishes—pizza, meat lasagna, spaghetti allagino, and chicken fettuccine Alfredo—and every single one tasted like authentic, homemade Italian comfort food. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. But what truly made the night special was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm—always checking in with a smile. It felt like dining with family. Gino’s has definitely earned a spot on our go-to list for Italian food in the area!
Never knew about this place until my date suggested it. This place is incredible! Truly local and family run, I was humbled and delighted at every turn. The bread was freshly baked and warm, the oil flavorful and unique. The salad was crisp and cold with a deliciously homemade Italian dressing. I got the Shrimp Diablo and was blown away. The sauce was a winner, the blend of herbs and tang of the tomato balanced out the warmth of the spicy without being overpowering. The bowl was HUGE! Everything was amazing and I found my new favorite! I think this is the first time I’ve been excited for leftovers. Drop everything and go eat here right now. I’ll see you there!
It was a wonderful evening. The food was incredible, and the recommendations from our server was incredible!! The dessert was awesome. The service was beyond!! It was my first time being there, my wife and I. I will definitely return back more often. And no, like my server said, well, I see again in another twenty years!!! Lol 😆 🤣 😂 great guy... thanks bro.. see u soon. I definitely recommend this place, the food was made fresh. You can taste it on the first bite.
What a lovely, cozy restaurant. It’s family run and you can see it in the friendly service - those who work here have clearly tasted the restaurant’s food and are happy to make recommendations. The ambience is cozy with soft lighting, typical 4-top dinner tables and chairs, and it was fairly crowded on a week night - conversations over good food all around. House bread (complimentary) was fine but the spice infused olive oil was amazing. We had to get seconds of the olive oil. We got the garlic bread, spinach & ricotta manicotti, lobster ravioli and tiramisu. The well baked pasta and filling was absolutely delicious. The tiramisu had wonderful flavour although it was a bit soggy. The portions were large enough to be packed to take home, and fairly priced. Its always nice to be able to order from a thoughtful menu - this one lists your usual Italian fares but also a few rare items (it was my first time ever seeing manicotti on a menu and I really enjoyed the dish), at a sensible price. As a vegetarian, seeing more than one solitary veg entree on the menu also brings joy. Overall, highly recommend a meal here.

A lot of elderly. Seems like the perfect place for them. Safe space. Quiet and relaxing. Smelled like old ppl but however the food was absolutely delicious. Waitress was very kind. Ordering was fast and food came out quickly. Price was fair and cheaper than expected. Definitely a good place to go for lunch of you don't want to deal with a lot of noise.
Absolutely wonderful food. They won me over when they placed a basket of bread and a plate of oil with garlic and all kinds of seasonings in the oil. Yum!! I have been searching for an Italian restaurant that gives you bread and oil ever since Carinos shut down. The pizza my husband ordered was perfectly cooked. My trout was fantastic. The house Moscato tasted like an expensive brand of wine. It was smooth and great tasting. The service was top-notch. Our waitress was extremely friendly and checked on us often. The restaurant was clean. The prices are fair. We will definitely return.
I've been to Gino's Italian twice now and will be back. My first visit was to celebrate my birthday. Son and DIL asked where I would like to go and I said Italian but please no chain restaurant. They made an excellent choice. The food, wine, dessert, service and atmosphere were all on point. My second visit was a few weeks ago when I took my granddaughters out for girls' day. First it was a spa treatment then time for lunch. Asked where they'd like to go and of course they say Mickey D's which I vehemently say NO. Then one said, OK, I want spaghetti. My memory brought me back to Gino's. It was a perfect choice. The girls had a good selection to choose from and the food was 10+ according to the girls. I enjoyed the meal and atmosphere but all three of us agree that service was subpar. That didn't disappoint us enough to not wanting to return. Girls and I had a great time and I asked them, next time we come to Round Rock where would y'all like to eat and they both yelled, GINO'S!
Traditional and well-executed Italian food, the place was comfortable and clean, it was our first time and we didn't know what to order our server made some really good suggestions and she was super friendly and helpful, the bread was very good, we end ordering some mussels they came out well seasoned and very tasty, we got some pasta and trout it was good but it has too much sauce, the calzone was the best we love the quality of the ingredients! I'm very excited to try the Gino's pizza!
We came across this Italian restaurant via Google Maps. This is a good casual restaurant for all age groups. It is a nice place to go with family and friends. Great selection of food, serves good food and good portion sizes. This restaurant was buzy when we got there for a dinner on a weekend. We ordered a few pizzas and some pasta dishes. My Seafood Pescatore was loaded with a generous amount of seafood and the right amount of sauce. It was really good but could be better with a little more seasoning to lift up the flavour. Lobster Ravioli was delicious. The hamburger pizza was ok. The rest of the food was good. Service was good too. I wish I could say service was excellent. After we had our food, the waitress stacked right in front of me the dishes with leftovers from our table before she took them away. It was not a pleasant moment for me but I’m sure she didn’t mean to be rude. Definitely will return if we’re back in the area to explore the menu.

I ordered some vegetarian appetizer that first came undercooked. I sent it back and the second time it was visibly charred. Though it was not added to the bill, I was disappointed at the food being inedible even after a second time.
The atmosphere and service were great, but I was disappointed with the food. I ordered the baked ziti with chicken, but what I initially received was just plain pasta with cheese sauce and no chicken. I let the server know, and they kindly remade it, but the corrected dish still didn’t include the veggies that were listed on the menu. The cheese on the baked ziti also seemed just layered on top instead of being evenly melted and mixed throughout, which affected the taste and texture. It didn’t taste like the baked ziti I’m used to, and overall the dish fell short of expectations. Because of the delay with the remake, we ended up leaving after the restaurant had closed, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. Hopefully, the kitchen can improve consistency with their menu items going forward.
Location: This is downtown Round Rock. Pretty good location if visiting nearby area. Noise Level/Setting: very small family friendly environment. The inside gives a nice home vibe. Price: kids meal roughly $7 which is fair. Alfredo plate roughly $19. Taste: The chicken Parmesan was overcooked. The lasagna and Alfredo dishes were good. Overall everything for sure had bland flavor for all dishes we tried. The lemon cake was great flavor but super wet for some odd reason. Service: Great!! From the smiles at the front door to the staff thanking us as we left. Our waiter had 5 tables around us and made sure she checked in and ensured we had everything we needed! Low stars only for flavors of dishes. Overall, would try again maybe for pizza instead if pasta.
