Very nice noodle restaurant with very nice flavors. The spice is just right and works well with the mung bean soup for a perfect balance. The food is very reasonably priced, and I would come again.

We had House Beef Noodles and Chengdu Zajiang Noodles . Both were delicious and service was good!

I love it!!! We ordered the house beef noodle soup and the hot and sour noodle so pop, as well as the spicy black fungus. They were all so good!! Pricing is reasonable, inside is very clean with minimalistic aesthetic. We went for lunch on a weekday around 1:30, and it wasn’t busy at all! After being seated we ordered from our phones (with a QR code). The menu was very comprehensive and made it easy to remove items from the dish and adjust the spice level. 10/10: will definitely be coming back!!

Visited MIAN for the first time this past weekend as per my sister's recommendation. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the staff. They bring out the water as soon as you sit. Each table has a QR code to access the menu and to allow each person in the party to add items. We ordered the appetizer set which comes with 6 different cold appetizers and the cumin fries. The cumin fries were delicious! The fries are crinkle cut fries who are seasoned with cumin and sweet spices...the contrast of the cumin and the sweet spices is exceptional, highly recommend this item! For my main entree, I ordered the spare rib noodle soup, the broth is spicy (mild level) and rich; comes with a generous amount of noodles and spare rib piece. Everybody in our party thoroughly enjoyed our experience at MIAN. Can't wait to come back to try the other items in the menu.

I visited this restaurant twice and service was fast, fresh, and delicious! First visit I wanted to try the short rib bowl, but they had sold out for the day, so I had the classic noodle dish (yumm)! The second visit I went at time of opening and ordered short ribs, again delicious! They serve a cabbage dish as appetizer it’s so good I kept asking for more! If you eat in you can ask for extra bowl of noodles! Love this place!

Come with me to this Michelin recommended noodle spot. It’s soooo good! Highlights of the menu: 1. Chengdu beef jerky 2. Crispy skin chicken 3. Ma po tofu & minced pork noodles

I've heard of MIAN and wanted to try them for a very long time. From reviews and word of mouth I had high expectations from them. Coming here I wanted to try a lot of their menu so I brought friends to help with me. First thing I was worried about was since their noodles all looked very similar, that they would all have the same base taste with different meats/ingredients. To my surprised this was not the case at all. Each dish had its own unique taste that I could clearly tell from one another. To start, they provided a refreshing cold mung bean drink. This will be key when you finally have your meal. It is surprisingly refreshing after all the spicy noodles you'll be having. The first item to come out was the steamed egg and minced pork. This was such a simple yet elegant dish. The egg was so light, smooth and creamy. With the pork that topped it off, it adds the perfect amount of savoriness to the dish. You must get this as a starter to your meal. It is just such a comforting appetizer. As soon as I finished the appetizer the main dishes came out. House Beef Noodles: This dish was a very typical beef noodle soup, but had a great rich broth. Noodles were cooked perfectly and had a great chew to them. Meat was very tender. Highly recommend this if you just want a traditional beef noodle soup. Chengdu Zajian Noodles: This dish was delicious. The same ground pork from the steamed egg was now on top of those amazing bouncy noodles. All this is topped off with a pan fried egg with bok choy. Mixed all together with a bite of each ingredient in one spoon full is just heavenly. And when the spice or the saltiness gets too much, have a piece of their pickled cabbage and a drink of the mung bean drink and you'll be ready to go again. Special Gizzard Noodles: Now this dish was my favorite. If you love the taste of innards, this dish is for you. The gizzards added a change in texture in the dish while adding that gamy flavor, which I love. The gamy flavor of the gizzards works so well with the spicy chili oil of this dish. To counter all the richness the pickled celery was a nice touch to the dish. This dish may not be for everyone, but I personally think it was the best dish I tried. Spare Rib Noodles: This dish was one of the biggest surprises to me. I expected the dish to just be their house beef noodles but with spare rib instead, but to my surprise it was totally different. The soup broth had a strong mushroom flavor to it and made it taste completely different from the other noodle soup. The spare rib was melt in your mouth. I think I liked this better than the beef noodle soup. If you just want to try something a bit different from the original beef noodle soup, don't miss out on this. Hot and Sour Chaoshou: Lastly, the hot and sour dumpling soup. This was probably the best thing to have in between a few bites of any of the previous dishes. The hot and sour soup was a nice refresher from all the richness in all the dishes. After having a few dumplings and the soup, it made me want to come back to all my other dishes. The dumplings themselves were wonderful. The dumpling skin was very thin and there was a generous amount filling. I don't know why, but it made me want to eat more and more, so if you want to be able to eat more, make sure to get this dish. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised about this place. Everything had a unique taste to it and it was so refreshing to see that. Even though the noodles weren't hand pulled or anything, they were cooked to perfection and complimented the ingredients used. Highly recommend coming here to try anything here. I will be back to try more of their menu in the future.

Had takeout from them, the 钟水饺,dumplings, can say it's pretty darn good for being in America and not Chengdu. They seem generous with the intestines in the noodles fish as well, which I appreciate. I suppose innards are cheaper and higher quality in America.

First time there. Very minimal contact with the staff. You order food from QR code on the table, and that's how you pay also. ALL of their food were gooooood!!! We just ordered random things, they were all good! Definitely will come back and try something new.

I absolutely love this place and Szechuan food! Everything I try is always so satisfying. My favorites so far are pickled radish, Jajjian myun (probably spelled wrong, sorry) and toothpick chicken! I get their high spicy level and love it!!! It’s a very special place 🤤🥰

The best noodle in town!!!! A "MUST-TRY" noodle house in the east of LA County. There are many Chinese noodle restaurants in Rowland Heights area, but Miàn is on the top of them, period. I am eating in this restaurant three or four times per week, and never get tired on it. Pork Dumpling, Zajianh Noodle with Peas, Special Gizzard Noodle, OMG! You MUST TRY THEM!!!!

I've always loved their food since their first store. Beef noodles and steamed eggs are the dishes I order every time. Now they have eight stores, and the taste is still my favorite. And price fair! Their service is also very good, I feel very satisfied every time. Highly recommended Mian!!

Mian noodles may be a small chain, but make no mistake, their dishes pack the unique and authentic flavor of a Chinese hole-in-the-wall with the class and polished look of a trendy boba shop for an experience that's not to be missed. For Chinese food connoisseurs, particular those looking to experience or already fans of Sichuan spice, Mian is a winner through and through. For the uninitiated, authentic Sichuan spice has a particular sensation setting it apart from your regular red hot pepper. Sichuanese spice is a numbing spice, which tends to leave your tongue tingling and your throat comparatively fine. A truly unique and, for this reviewer, pleasing taste worth experiencing at least once, Mian offers spice levels which let you ease your way into this if so desired, something other authentic Sichuanese places don't always do. (Worth noting that although Chinese was certainly a preferred language, servers all spoke fluent English so if you're not Mandarin fluent it shouldn't be an issue). The dishes themselves are mostly noodles and noodle soups with a single page of cold sides (and scrumptious meat pie) and anything with ground meat is a treat, but the real kicker here is that if you eat in, you can order extra noodles. For FREE. AS MUCH AS YOU WANT. I felt one extra batch was perfect and my cohort got two batches. The value in this for noodle lovers is tremendous, especially since the noodles, while they look humble enough, have a great chewiness and addictive texture. Potstickers come with an authentic slightly spicy dip that really brings out a hearty flavor. For taste, uniqueness, and the unparalleled value of unlimited free noodles, Mian goes to the top of my list. While it might be busier on weekends, we went to the Roland Hills location and found ample parking and no wait. It's possible Sichuan spice might not speak to you and that's really the only reservation I might suggest for some. For the rest of us though, they serve one Mian noodle bowl, and that's a good thing.

MIAN is such a great spot! We got the pork rib noodle soup and pork dumplings, and both were really good. The ribs were super tender, the broth had great flavor without being too greasy, and I love that they pack the noodles and soup separately so the noodles don’t get soggy. The dumplings were juicy and the sweet/spicy dipping sauce was spot on—not too spicy for the kids either. The place is clean and chill, and the service was quick and friendly. Prices are super reasonable, which is always a win when eating out with the family. Overall, it’s an easy, tasty meal that everyone enjoyed. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommend it to friends and family.

I came here with my family for a new restaurant in the area wasn't disappointed. Service was fast and decently friendly, the restaurant was clean and had an interesting aesthetic. We got the century egg tofu appetizier and also the beef rolls both were pretty good though the beef rolls were too sweet in my opinion and kind of small. All of us liked our noodles, I got the location special super beef noodle or something that has beef rib, sliced beef shank, and beef belly. The meat was super good and the broth was flavorful though I'd recommend having level 2 or 3 spice level, I got daunted and got level 1 but it wasn't really spicy. Definitely coming back with my friends.

The food was great. Took very little time for the food to come out and it was delicious. The smell, taste, and texture of the House Beef Noodles were amazing. The service was also excellent. Upon arriving it was clear that they were not busy, but my party was immediately seated. They brought out drinks from the get go. The appetizers, and our meals came out very fast. Later on, I was coughing excessively and the worker brought me extra napkins and water without me asking. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very pleasant. It has a warm and friendly environment. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something to eat.

I can confidently say this is the best noodle shop I've ever visited! From the moment I walked in, the aromatic broth smells whetted my appetite. The hand-pulled noodles were cooked to perfection - springy with just the right chewiness that shows the chef's skill. I ordered the signature beef noodle soup, and it exceeded all expectations. The broth was rich, deeply flavorful with layers of spices that simmered for hours. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the portion was extremely generous for the price. What impressed me equally was the service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the owner came by to check if we needed anything. The restaurant itself was spotlessly clean with a cozy, authentic atmosphere. The homemade chili oil and pickled vegetables on the table were fantastic additions that took the meal to another level. Every component showed care and authenticity. I'll definitely be returning regularly and bringing all my friends. This hidden gem deserves all the praise it gets! If you're craving authentic, soul-warming noodles made with passion, look no further. **Pro tip:** Come hungry - the portions are huge and you'll want to finish every last drop!

Im going to start my review with: truly impeccable. My absolute favourite is the glutinous rise cakes, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Biting into it feels like an asmr video dream as if it is an unreal experience, the chewy part is like chewing soft candy but its softer, warmer, and 79x better. Love it so much. Service is also fantastical, I’ve been to two locations and the kindness is still the same. I will definitely be coming again.

CHINA 🇨🇳 (Sichuan) Eat the World LA review: As sometimes happens with translation, English speakers are not given the full breadth of what might be happening inside, instead of "flavored little noodles" (probably "tasty noodles" when translated properly), we just get "noodles." Miàn is definitely all about the noodles, and specifically those enjoyed in Chongqing and Sichuan provinces. And they are definitely tasty. Miàn is the next step from popular James Beard-nominated chef Tony Xu of the Chengdu Taste franchise, and now has even opened a second location in Rowland Heights. The interior is sleek and efficient and from the beginning it is assumed you will slip in and out as quickly as humanly possible. It is not large but they expect high turnover as there is usually a brief (or not brief) wait involved. The menu, while spread out on quite a few pages, is actually quite limited. They focus on a small range of noodles, served sometimes hot and others cold, sometimes dry and other times as soup. This focus ensures what they do offer is all done in fairly amazing renditions.

Went to Mian in Rowland Heights because my son was craving noodles, and we ended up discovering a gem. I ordered the Chengdu noodle, and it instantly became my favorite — the best Chengdu noodle I’ve ever had. This place serves mostly spicy dishes (noodle) with Sichuan pepper. Which it can leaves you with a numbing and spicy sensation. The noodle is tasty and well flavor. I ordered the intenstine noodle but the intenstine quantity were less than generous but taste was decent. Serve with free and refillable bean soup which it compliment very well with spicy dishes. Service is attentive and friendly. The place is clean and nicely decor. Some part of the parking lot is under construction at the time of this writing. I recommend parking at the plaza next door and walk over instead. Recommended.

Mian is a great spot if you love Chinese noodles. They offer a wide variety of noodle dishes from different regions of China, so you can really taste several styles in one place. It feels unique, modern, and the restaurant stays open late, which is probably why so many young people come here. If you’re a noodle lover, this is definitely a fun and unique place to try. The prices are affordable, and the overall quality is solid. If you live in the Rowland Heights area, it’s worth stopping by at least once to check it out.

I came here on a chilly Saturday night (no pun intended) to get a fine bowl of beef noodle soup and some dumplings and that's exactly what I got. The menu is via a QR code and you can customize your soup to your liking. I think next time I'll get less chili oil just so it's a little less oily for me. I think I got medium spice level and it wasn't too bad. The beef noodle soup was very tasty, noodles were cooked well and the beef itself very tender and delicious. The pork dumplings were plump, juicy and the skin wasn't too thicc. Service was reasonably fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and I would come back again. I'd give this spot a closer 4.3 to 4.4 rather than Google making stick to whole numbers. Until the next food adventure.

The taste is decent, nothing extraordinary, but definitely worth a try. I ordered the sour soup beef noodles and was glad to see the option to switch to rice noodles. The beef was quite delicious and tender. However, I wouldn’t recommend the spicy kimchi. It had a strange texture and was a bit too oily for my liking. Personally, I prefer something lighter and less greasy.😅

If you are looking for a decent place to get some really good dry noodle, go to Mian in Rowland Heights. Here's what we ordered and here are my ratings: * Chengdu Zajiang Noodle - $13.00. 4.5 out of 5 stars. The dry noodle did not disappoint and was the star of the show with the fried egg and bok choy on top. I would come back just for this dish alone, and probably will. * House Beef Noodles - $15.00. 3.out of 5 stars. We weren't as big of fans of the beef noodle soup and think there are better options in the Rowland area. The meat was tougher and dryer, and the noodles were overcooked. * Beef in chili sauce. 4 out of 5 stars. This appetizer packs a punch with the chili. * French Fries - rate 4.5 out of 5. This was a surprisingly tasty dish to have on the side. Definitely order it. You won't be disappointed! It was very easy to get a table at this restaurant (no long wait). There is ample parking for all of the restaurants in this complex.

Around 4.2-4.5 ⭐. Service is good. Prices are okay based on food quality. The beef (tender) is in a good flavor but soup is a little bit salty. Sour and spicy wonton is pretty good! Recommended people who want Szechuan food or spicy

If you are craving rice noodles with soup. This is one of the places you can go in Rolland heights. The noodle soup is well cooked and delicious + you get to choose your spice levels. Try the mung bean soup if you are looking for a healthier option.

Nice and clean, good service and interesting dishes. Not a big fan of the noodles we got but that's up to personal preference. The place where we used to get our spicy beef noodle soup closed down so we are looking for another place that serves a similar one!

Nothing beat a good bowl of noodle soup. Simple elegant interior , more Japanese ramen restaurant style than typical Chinese. Good attentive services and good noodles.

Love the Beef Bowl here... one of our favorite places to eat. ***I lowered it 2 stars because now the beef bowl is $3 dollars more and you get less food. That should not be how things work. ***

I personally did not like the noodles as much. It’s chewy and bouncy but didn’t have any flavors. The soup flavor just slides off the noodles.. the soup is great though! You can get extra noodles for free! Only for dine-in! We ordered Wood ear and it’s pretty pricey for a little container.. The interior is nice and spacious. It’s located right next to the food court!

Waiter said “No tip?” at the end of the meal… All he did was bring me my food.

First time here today, half way done with my bowl of noodles and I bite into an eggshell the size of a nickel. The spicy wontons steamed meat inside tasted like mush. Gotta have an acquired taste for this China restaurant.
