I’m so happy with my experience here. The food, the quality, the pricing. Everything is wonderful. The service was excellent. Food definitely is fresh so it takes a little longer but it was worth the wait!!! Super great sizing for sharing 💖 I’m so glad I came here and I wish there was another location closer to me but I will come back!!! I also love the messaging here, they also give back to the community. ✨ such a great business to support!!
I'm not vegan but WOW the for was great. Top tier food at a reasonable price with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
This place is more than just a restaurant; it's a community center. Roger and his brother are doing new things with the space and the food is always made to perfection and with care. Check out the authentic soup or the mac n cheese. Be aware: it's a chill spot, like a friend's living room, and the food takes time to make to perfection.
I was looking for a vegetarian option near me and I'm so glad I came across Hash!!! I'm definitely going back, Great experience overall. I did have to take it to go and for parking I used Fabito's -the store next door- no problem
A great restaurant that serves a great cause. I had the iced matcha tea, the mac & cheese, and the kale Caesar salad. I ate every bit of it. The matcha tea, which I am not usually a fan of, was absolutely delicious. My companion had a spinach salad with fruit and the hash and also had a sweeter version of the matcha that I ordered and she loved everything as well. We will definitely be back. I am not vegan, by the way, but good food is good food. This place serves good food made with obvious pride.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The owners are just as amazing as I imagined. 😄 The food is delicious and you're supporting more than one great cause by eating here. I absolutely love the vibe, the atmosphere, the culture and how fresh everything is. I'm going to try to get in here more often. The pozole was fabulous... I'm looking forward to trying that brownie that I had my eye on next time 🤭🤤😉
This place is DO NOT MISS if you come to San Antonio. The area where I live does not offer many vegan options, so I am not experienced with the flavors, textures, or preparation of a nice plant based meal. The food here is over the top good. My sister and I ordered phish tacos (tofu). The tortillas were SO good (sourced from local bakery) and the tacos were amazing! The phish had a nice crispy fry, the fresh veggies on top...peppers, cilantro, red onion..a beautiful slaw of color and flavors. There are SO many choices on the menu...one visit will not be enough while I'm here, because I want to try everything. If I lived here, I would eat here multiple times a week, because not only is the food delicious, creative, locally sourced, and so much healthier...the hospitality, the mission, the feeling of being welcomed..all of the vibe of this place invites you in. This would seriously be my hang out place if I lived here. Thanks Roger for an unforgettable meal and experience (and thank you to the chef that worked fabulous magic in that kitchen🫶)
I stopped at Hash Vegan Eatery about a month ago and met my non vegan homegirl there. We parked in the parking lot just about next to the restaurant. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Customer service was excellent. The gentleman was very patient explaining food items and giving us recommendations. The bathroom was clean. The food was very tasty and filling! I try to stay away from soy so there were many items I couldn't eat. The best part, this restaurant partners with people in the community to help take care of people in the community. I love that! We did leave smelling like fried food and that smell lingered. Check them out and let me know what you think!
The place is very comfortable. Everything I got was delicious. There were a few more things I wanted to try. I will definitely stop back in next time I'm in town. The owner has a unique personable way about him and a great platform for reaching the people. There's a big parking lot almost next to it.
While visiting family, my 13 year old and I needed a lunch before heading to the airport. My kiddo found Hash after searching and we headed straight for it. At first, we weren't sure where to park because there is no obvious parking. There is a shop next door with a parking lot that you can use. We ended up parking on the street because we didn't want to get towed. The owner confirmed that you can use a lot though. Now for the food- holy heck that was amazing and I wish we lived close by. The prices are incredible and the food even better. We were met with the kindest welcome I've ever received at a restaurant and the owner was super helpful with descriptions so we could decide what to order. We shared the waffle breakfast stack, carne guisada tacos & a side of elote. Kiddo got the iced lavender matcha latte. The waffle was the perfect texture and full of flavor. The guisada tacos were so incredibly delicious I seriously considered ordering more and trying to get them home in my suitcase. I will be dreaming about those tacos for a long time. It's such a relief to be able to order food knowing it's safe. Kiddo and I are vegetarian, but one can't eat dairy and the other can't eat eggs, so vegan is our default. We've never been able to order elotes anywhere, and theirs are so delicious. Kiddo proclaimed their matcha the best they've ever had. We landed in Seattle after midnight (after 2 AM by the Texas time we were used to) and the first thing kiddo told their dad about was Hash Anytime we are visiting family down there, Hash will be on our must do list. I also greatly appreciate their mission and devotion to the recovery community and their goodness towards humans in general with their free store.
THIS restaurant is amazing! The taste of the food it's just above all you expect it. The service whebwe are there feels like a big hug! The decoration is also unique. I went withmy daugther she enjoyed the food (Sandwich clud) and the different games we have access. This place is good with is food and ambiance for the soul! Pardon my english I am frome Qc, Canada!🤍
This place was incredible! We were just driving through San Antonio during a road trip, otherwise I'd be going back constantly. The food was amazing, I had the vegan fish tacos and my fiance had the best vegan breakfast burrito I've ever tasted. I didn't catch the server's name but he was an absolute angel, the kindest man you'll ever meet. As if the food wasn't already amazing, it was so nice to meet this man and talk with him about our road trip. The atmosphere was great, they had a little area you could play some video games! The vibe of the whole place was really cool. This was an extremely memorable experience and I know that the minute I'm ever in San Antonio again, I'll be stopping by.
This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the city of San Antonio. I've been eating here since they opened - I used to drive all the way from Stone Oak just for their food. The interior is cute and homey, like going to a family member's house. Super cozy, warm and inviting, and the ownersbcreate delicious, flavorful fare that is absolutely guaranteed to leave you full and happy! The food here is not just vegan; it's also healthy! There are a few indulgences (like the desserts and incredible Mac N cheese) but there are a lot of veggies, leafy greens, and whole grains on the menu! And the flavors ... Rich, layered, and SO TASTY. Hash is owned by 2 brothers who are Indigenous and the menu reflects this! If you're on your sober journey or simply don't like alcohol, they have non alcoholic cocktails, as well as CBD infused options. (I haven't tried the latter) My menu favorites: - Veggie Hash (the cheese sauce is amazing) - Pozole - Kale Salad - Dirty Matcha - Buffalo Cauliflower I also appreciate that this establishment is truly for the community in word AND deed. On top of creating an oasis in an area that is a healthy - food desert, they also have a little "market" inside the store where ALL items are free to the community. This includes food items, clothing, books, and more. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend this restaurant! Buen Provecho!
I had the Carne Guisada tacos, my wife had the Monte Kristo, and we shared a side of hash browns; everything was delicious - obviously. The staff were beyond courteous and super informative. Not only is the food legendary, the vibe is on an another level: super chill with games available to enhance the experience of those you are with. Definitely letting everyone I know about this gem!
Came here for my friend’s birthday, a big table was prepared for us and we were encouraged to put up decorations to celebrate! The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very chill, we played nintendo as we waited for others to arrive. Great local restaurant, have definitely been recommending this place.
First time trying HASH and can’t wait to go back! The cornbread with cinnamon butter was delicious! As was the carne guisada on rice and Mac and cheese with veggies… the veggies being my favorite! But there’s more to try so we will return soon! Also have to mention we spoke briefly to one of the owners and he seemed to be such a caring and genuine person. Love this for the Southside!
Our first time visiting HASH (Heal And Share Healing) and we had an amazing time with both the meal and getting to know one of the owners, Rogelio. He is such a beautiful soul. We'll definitely be back again to experience more of their amazing vegan and hand made food. Such a treat to find this place. Highly recommend visiting.
My first time here and its not going to be my last. The star was definitely the veggie rice bowl with the cilantro rice. I didnt speak for a full five minutes as I shoved fork full after fork full into my mouth it WAS THAT GOOD. I highly recommend you get it. The tacos were the taco special for Tuesday. For $1 and $2 dollar tacos they were great quality. You can tell everything is made in house honestly. Roger was super kind and answered all my questions I had. Come out and support an amazing hidden gem on the Southside!
The places you love most, sometimes are the ones you forget to tell people about or was I gatekeeping?! Probably my favorite vegan restaurant in San Antonio. From the story, to the food, to the community, these guys got it. Chill vibes, dope feels, good people and great food. Literally nothing on the menu has disappointed. People like Roger and his brother need to be glorified and kept around. They are staples for the community and the planet. Highly recommend Hash anytime you are in the area! 11 out of 10.
100% recommend. This place is serving so many needs in the community. They are welcoming and engaging with all of their customers, create delicious plant based versions of comfort foods, offer a safe, sober and inclusive environment to relax and enjoy, and are actively involved in community outreach. Do yourself a favor and check them out. *Pictures are the chorizo cheeseburger w/fries and mac topped w/buffalo cauliflower
Amazing food, compassionate vibes! I’ve been to Hash twice so far—once during renovations and again after the space was finished—and both visits were excellent. The food is 100% vegan and fully plant-based, but you honestly wouldn’t know unless someone told you. Everything we ordered was super flavorful, creative, and satisfying without being heavy or greasy. The vegan burgers, tacos, elote, and fries each had their own distinct seasoning and tasted freshly made. The breakfast burger even came with a fresh fruit side, which was such a nice surprise for a comfort food spot. The newly renovated interior is clean, modern, and really chill—perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. On our second visit, one of the founders (Roger) came over to chat while we waited. He was genuinely kind and thoughtful, and you can tell that those values shape how the place is run. There’s a food donation pantry inside and a free little library outside, which adds to the strong sense of community. Whether you're vegan, plant-based, or just curious, Hash is 100% worth checking out. Great food, great people, great energy.
Cool little spot! I tried the Frito pie, which was vegan. I've never had vegan food, it was a little strange to me. But my friend loved it! My friend had the chicken and waffles, which was also vegan. I really loved the toasted tomatoes!
