Big Buddha Sandwiches with tofu- These where delicious and tasted really fresh. Menu and selection process for sandwiches was simple, and packaging was thorough and made it easy to eat. Half a sandwich was enough for me, the other half was easy to pack and leftovers where great as well. My only critique that the sauce is a little too light--more sauce or dipping sauce would be a great addition. Overall a seriously great sandwich, would come once a week if I lived closer. Spring rolls-One person the got a roll with grilled shrimp, another got Taiwanese sausage. The portions where perfectly sized with a great sauce-to-roll ratio. They described the rolls as fresh, flavourful, and with great texture. great. Each roll was individually wrapped so they did't stick together, so make sure to take off the clear wrap before eating. Looked very pretty. Service was great, and the eating area was so cute. The walls had paintings, there was a cool industrial ceiling, and the seating area was clean and accessible. Vibe was calm and not super crowded. They did a great job with the interior.
Had some delicious tasting healthier food, and was a good place to have a casual work lunch. Reasonably priced and lots of Asian fusion options. Their tea is made with fresh sugar cane. It’s a few spots in one and is similar to a food hall style - lots of seating and easy street parking. Friendly and quick service. Very yummy!!
Buddha Bowls and Rolls has a very simple and easy to understand menu. The good things are. The food and drinks are delicious, and the customer service is excellent. The restaurant is not very big. It is for to-go orders only. The owner and employees are very nice. The food and drinks I ordered were ready in less than five minutes after I placed the order. The metered street parking is easy to find in the area. I got the parking almost in front of the restaurant.
I love their innovative Asian fusion cuisine and drinks. The dishes are refreshingly delicious, with a perfect balance of Asian and Western flavors. Our Matcha Strawberry drink and the blue drink (forgot its name) were good. The orange chicken rice bowl with added crispy roll (no filling inside btw. But texture is good) was delicious. The noodle bowl was decent but the rice bowl was better. For dessert, I enjoyed their Ube cookie and Pandan cookie, mango cookie was alright. This place filled up with customers quickly at around weekday noon, just soon after I took these photos. If you're short on time, consider ordering ahead for pickup. There’s no dine in option, only take out. We brought our food to a big park nearby and ate them there. Definitely coming back for more 💚
The food was delicious. I had the rice with crispy tofu and a carrot, cabbage, garlic, sesame salad. My women person had vermicelli noodles with pork and peanut sauce and salad. We also shared some lumpia. The place looks small but there is an entire room with chairs and windows and a restroom. Very nice. Very clean. Did I mention the food was amazing. We will be back…🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
I came on Monday around 3PM and was served immediately. This is a to-go restaurant so no table for dine in (only a bench for waiting the order). The staffs were very friendly and inviting. I got my order within 5 minutes. - classic Vietnamese iced coffee: good iced coffee for a hot day. It had the perfect sweetness. - char-grilled pork noodle bowl with spicy buddha sauce: delicious! The pork was tender and super flavorful. The noodles were cooked perfectly and they weren't chunky when I ate it at home. The veggies were fresh and the Buddha sauce was great! - coconut pandan cookie: yummy! The cookie wasn't too sweet and the pandan flavor was prominent. Although it looked thin but it did have some chewiness in the middle and crispy edges!
Best Banh Mi I’ve had outside of Vietnam! The only difference with the Buddha Sando is they offer some aioli sauces options instead of the traditional pate, but honestly the aioli is a fantastic substitute. This is the freshest, tastiest banh mi you’re going to find in Sac. Loaded with meat and veggies, it is great value for the price. The brisket was out of this world, I could have eaten it a la carte, but together with the fresh veggies on a roll it was superb. In this photo is the Chicken Banh mi which was also delicious but I highly recommend spending the extra $2 to try the brisket. This will be a weekly staple in my lunch rotation! Only downside is they have no seating inside but perhaps they will add some seating outside eventually.
Amazing food, and super friendly service! The restaurant is split into two different parts. On one side you can order, and wait for your food. The other side is a dining area with seating for about 40 people, so plenty of room to spread out if you have a large group! The food was ready super fast, and it was flavorful and delicious!
Great service, generous portions, fresh and delicious food. Amazing value for the price. Try that Chinese sausage fried rice with their lemongrass beef and sesame salad. Super delicious Can’t wait to try my pork banh mi for dinner
Summer is right around the corner and this spot opened just in time! I visited 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I love everything ube and it's safe to say I'm obsessed with this place, especially their ube-bae matcha. Each time I go I’m given a warm welcome by staff. My most recent experience was so pleasant and the staff were recommending their favorite drinks. Grabbed a plain sugar cane drink for my partner and honestly, everything on the menu sounds so good (they even have a sugar cane drink with fresh passion fruit, and more!) Not pictured is the Buddha roll with char-grilled pork (with Thai basil aioli sauce) and it was so good! The bread either makes or breaks it for me. Keep in mind they only opened 2 weeks ago from the time of this post so they currently don't have any seating, but I can totally see space for it and maybe even outdoor seating at some point? They also do not have restrooms so that’s also something so maybe it will purely be a grab-n-go joint. Either way, I won’t mind as long as the quality continues to be stellar 💫
My husband and I went here for dinner. Food and service were excellent. We ordered the Bahn mi sandwich, bbq pork noodle bowl, salt and pepper tofu, and pork lumpia. Each came with their own sauce and it was definitely way too much food for 2 people. We have leftovers for lunch. I would recommend coming here and trying it out.
All of the food and drinks I’ve gotten are delicious, especially the proteins, the cucumber salad and the sugar cane juices. I’ve had some issues with forgotten items but I just make sure to double check I have everything.
Delicious food! We got the tots and the smoky brisket bowl, so good! We are vendors at SacAnime a six minute walk away and it was less than a minute after I arrived that my food was ready. 5/5 stars.
I had a rice bowl with the orange chicken and an egg roll which were delicious, they also validated my parking as i had to park in the structure behind the place. The dining area was great as well.
I recently moved to Sacramento, and on my first night here — surrounded by boxes and completely exhausted — I ordered delivery from Buddha Bowls and Rolls. I got the Street Tofu and a noodle bowl with vegan bulgogi, and honestly… it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Yes, I was starving, but it was so flavorful, fresh, and satisfying that I couldn’t believe how good it was. The food is simple but done perfectly — every bite was packed with flavor and freshness. A few weeks later, I brought my sisters, their kids, and our parents to eat there in person, and they all loved it too. Definitely a family hit and one of my go-to spots now in Sacramento!
The food here is great - and doesn’t break the bank. I tell you what - the staff is so fantastic! They’re really trying to make sure their customers have a great experience. Bar staff also works very hard. I’ve been coming here for years and they always deliver! Also - they offer a military discount.
Came in and got the Buckhorn Bowl. I'm not a beef stew fan by any means, but I am now! It was delicious and the fried onions are to die for. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection.
My husband and I have been coming here since they opened. Good environment, good food, friendly staffs. One of their staff who really stands out..an older Hispanic gentleman (table busser) is always extremely helpful and nice; he deserves all the tips in the world. My apologies for not knowing his name but I will certainly update later with his name.
5 of us did a motorcycle ride up here from Oakland for lunch. walked in ordered, within 20 mins, our food was coming out to our table. Food and service were excellent. As well as fair pricing for the amount of food we had. All the staff we had contact with were very welcoming too. We will definitely be back here again.
The test of a good barbecue – the real thing — is that it has to taste good even when eaten with no sauce at all. The barbecue here passes that test. Service is prompt and courteous. Only downside is that it has a bunch of TVs showing sports all the time. I don’t normally eat in a place that has TVs on, and in fact I usually just turn around and walk out. But the aroma of the barbecue was so good when I walked in that I decided to go ahead and eat here. I’m glad I did. I sure wish it was quieter, but I’ll probably still come back because the barbecue is truly excellent. Good place for families, by the way. Kids making a racket don’t even register over the ambient noise from Conversations, kitchen clatter, the TV, and the radio that is also always on.
If you're craving delicious grilled chicken, this spot is perfect! As someone who always misses Nando's after living on the East Coast, this place totally satisfies that craving. Their grilled chicken and sandwiches are excellent, and the sides are just as impressive. Wait times aren’t bad, and the self-service setup keeps things moving quickly with manageable lines. The ambiance and service make it even better—a great spot overall!
Yummy full rack of takeout ribs. Tastes great, not dry, horseradish tastes great. Am so glad I came here, will be back soon.

I had the coconut shrimp spring rolls which were quite fresh and the peanut sauce faired well with it. My significant other ordered the smoked 5 spice chicken noodle bowl. There wasn’t much chicken and veggies, but it was fresh. The dragon fruit & blackberry lime drinks were sweet and also refreshing. I definitely be back for the rolls, but will pass on the bowls for now.
Overall I really enjoyed this places and would go back! But there were some things I was dissapointed with. The spring rolls alone, I would go back and get again. They have a crunchy fried, egg roll wrap inside of the spring roll. I got it with the crunchy tofu, even with my order being through door dash my food was extremly fresh and crunchy! The Banh Mi, I would probably not order it again. There is a specific texture I like my bread, crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, this was very tiny and thin. I would pass on getting this again. The wonton nachos were good! My only dissapointment along with the Banh Mi, is I got both of them with pork. Although the pork was "Char grilled" the pork was too fatty and had a intersting after taste. I know pork is naturally fatty, but someones vietnamese places specifically have a more lean porky and its very flavorful. Just was not a fan. That being said I loved the tofu and would go back to try the shrimp & chicken! Oh, this place is TINYYY with no seating unless you find a spot outside, and no bathrooms.
My very first time coming in here. Came with my husband. When I came in I thought was going to be like a restaurant but it is not. You order your food and sit down where ever you want to sit and they’ll bring your food to you. Place is ok. Can be better and cleaner. The people are some nice. well you don’t interact with them to much. Food? I well the pork was dry but the trip top was good. Mac and cheese is good too. The fried pickle I don’t care for it. The onions rings can have better seasoning. Do I recommend here? I say try it out.

Third time here I’ve always gotten drinks. Decided to get a rice bowl. Paid $15 for chicken teriyaki, rice and a salad. I’m not sure why but for $15 I got a really small chicken thigh. One boneless chicken thigh that’s tiny is actually crazy. Taste is good but the portion is just terrible. 80% rice, 10% meat, 10% salad. I’ve met the owner and she’s a great person that’s why I decided to come support the business. I’m not sure if this is standard or the person who made my food didn’t like me or something. Not worth $15. I would’ve went to buckhorn next door. I didn’t expect this from a nice place like this.
We tried out their salad and sugar cane juice, salad was ok but the sugar cane juice was not fresh, it was fresh pressed but the sugar cane itself been sitting there a while. There was no place to sit in the store. We thought it be a hangout spot but not going to recommend this location
This was my first and last visit to Buckhorn BBQ. I ordered the 1/2 ribs with onion rings and mashed potatoes. The onion rings and mashed potatoes were very good. The ribs were very sub par I have had ribs all over the Sacramento area S. Carolina, Chicago, and Florida the ribs would rank the lowest of all. They were tough, under cooked and nearly tasteless. For the money I was charge they could have at least taken time to removed the membrane from the inside.
Went out of my way to come here from midtown and avoided one closer because I saw good rating. They disappointed me dearly. I ordered DoorDash pickup for medium whole Tri tip and got the most chewy grey well done piece of meat I’ve ever ordered. It’s like they left it cooking and forgot about it. Won’t be returning to this location. 60 something dollars down the drain on charred wood

The best thing I can say is that my food tasted nutritious. Unfortunately I had to wait 20 minutes in the depressing (!) dining room bc they forgot to bring it to me. That said, customer service fails can be forgiven. What bothered me most? I am appalled at the amount of waste created for one EAT-IN order: 1 paper bag, 1 giant plastic bubble dish with a top, 1 plastic sauce with a top, straw, napkins, plastic cup with a plastic sealed cover, plastic straw wrapper, and 2 plastic sheets to individually wrap (!) each spring roll. That's too much. I was embarrassed to even put this all in the trash after my 10-minute meal. I couldn't bring myself to eat here again, even if I did like the food. Please get real dishes or consider compostable containers to limit this excessive waste.
This location has not been the best lately. The last 3 times we have been, today our food was very cold. It was sitting on the counter all by itself lonesome for about 10/15 min before we got it. Come on kids let’s get going… it’s just no one wants to eat cold food.
I ordered through Doordash. Dasher was excellent and delivered quickly. The food however was horrible. I did not get the meat portions as advertised. My tri-tip was dry and the pulled pork was burnt black both very small portions. I was missing my onion ring side. The mac was old and dry, cheese literally crusty on top. My sandwich was missing all toppings including add on cheese and caramelized onion which cost extra. Cornbread was old and stale. I paid around $70 for this meal and I am very disappointed. I will never order here again.
Excuse my language but I am bleeping MAD! Just when I have faith in a restaurant again they take 5 steps back. The last time I ordered the tri tip sandwich it was so good. The only issue was the bread was a little burnt. I was craving the sandwich again and ordered the Roadhouse Buck Tri Tip Sandwich and added garlic mushrooms and caramelized onions to make it "pop" and add some delish but I don't see the onions and the mushrooms are sparse. What happened to receiving your food and it being visually stunning where you just dive in and after those first few bites you smile because it's amazing! Yeah that didn't happen. Don't get me wrong the sandwich is good but no caramelized onions and I had to spread the 4 mushrooms I got so I could taste a little with each bite. I like when a cook enjoys making food and prepares it with pride and some heart as if they're cooking for family. This meal seemed thrown together and no one looked at the ticket apparently because you can see I added the caramelized onions, mushroom, I requested horseradish, smokehouse bbq sauce and utensils and I did not get any of them. It was my Buck'n anniversary for signing up for the rewards so my reward was free burnt ends. I received them but the au jus container was sealed inside the container so the top was sharped and the su jus barely covered the bottom of the container, maybe a tablespoon was in there give or take. I ordered a side of garlic mashed potatoes and those were good, they didn't mess up on that. My last order was handled with care because I got all the extras I ordered and the au jus they gave me was delicious I even added some to my mashed potatoes. This time was such a disappointment. It goes to show no one did a quality control check to match items with what's on the ticket before letting it leave the restaurant.
Disappointing First Visit – Undercooked Chicken & Poor Response I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday March 8th around 4-5 PM. It was a bit busy, but I placed my order without issue. I decided to try the chicken, expecting a well-cooked and flavorful dish. Unfortunately, when my meal arrived, the chicken was visibly raw and bloody. I was shocked and couldn’t enjoy it at all. I politely asked if they could cook it a little more, but the staff insisted, “That’s how it’s cooked.” Still unsatisfied, I was given another plate—only to find the same issue. I left feeling confused and very disappointed. Properly cooked food should be a basic standard, and the lack of concern from the staff made the experience even worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my visit.
Ordered online at 930am. Show up at 1145 and they tell me the orders didn't post. Their whole dining experience is worse then burger King. Great food with the worst service. Spent 300 bucks on multiple orders on one visit and feel like it is just not worth it. Not even an apology for not having my order.
Our first and only time coming here.. the experience was bad enough to not want a return visit. All of our food was served cold, not a hint of warmth from any of the items we ordered. Corn bread was underbaked and mushy. The chicken we got was still pink. I know the tri tip is supposed to be medium rare, but ours was borderline raw. If the food had been hot, the food had potential to be decent. Very disappointed for the price.
I ordered the cheddar bacon tri tip sandwich with sweet potato fries. I had ordered online, and got there a few minutes before they said the food would be ready. That was around 6:40. I then waited until almost 7:00, 20 minutes, to receive a sad meal. They gave me such a small amount of fries that were cold and sad looking even though it was supposedly just made. My sandwich had also gone cold to the point that the “melted” cheese had solidified. $30 for this. $30. I’m never coming back to this location.
