If I lived in Sacramento, I would eat here every week. Local vibe. Relaxed service where food was out of kitchen quickly but let us take our time to enjoy the meal. Food was fresh and packed with flavor. Attentive but chill staff. Loved every part of our meal.

I wanted to try something new. The cozy atmosphere and wonderful, friendly service made it a superb lunchtime visit.

Absolutely great food!! I had the tacquitos with chicken and omg, all of the toppings and mixes are perfect blend! The Pico de gallo is not too spicy and guacamole is perfect.

This place was 🔥 omg you have to come eat here and try the food. The service was amazing people were nice no issues with the food or the people. I definitely am coming back here and not even going to hesitate the option.

We were greeted when we walked in. Customer Service was great. Very nice atmosphere! Servers were very attentive! Food was really good and you still get complimentary chips and salsa.!!! Also great price point! I'm looking forward to trying something else! I'm looking at the taco salad next!

I really enjoyed the experience here. Great service, good selection of craft beer, great mixed drinks, and amazing food. I had the Salmon Salad and Churros. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. The Churros were fresh made to order - hot, cinnamony and creamy on the inside. Definitely recommend. Definite looking forward to going back.

Between the amazing food, great service, and new bar tender, it's easy to see why everyone keeps coming back week after week. Honestly, I almost don't want to leave a good review just to keep it a secret... but this place deserves all the recognition.

The Guacamole with chips was delicious and a decent serving size. The Carnitas plate was excellent. Plenty of carnitas and nicely portioned accoutrements to accompany the carnitas. I do wish they sourced better corn tortillas or made them in house. SERVICE Prompt and friendly topped with a bit of frantic. Overall... Good service! DECOR Clean lines and pleasing to the eye. Images of Mexican culture are pleasant to look at. CLEANLINESS Definitely very clean! Furniture in good repair, no visible wear. LOCATION I've wanted to try this place for years but I think I haven't partly because of its location... Or I could be just making an excuse. PRICE Mostly expected in today's environment. The large Cadillac margarita seemed a bit expensive. It is $8 more than my carnitas plate. OVERALL EXPERIENCE Pleasant and delicious.

I just had a very nice 1st experience here at Mezcal Grill. I treated my close friend to a birthday dinner. The restaurant is cozy and busy. They have a really good Happy Hour that we arrived at the tail end of. We were able to get a few drinks and an appetizer before Happy Hour ended. The waitress was very nice and accommodating to get those items in right away for us and delivered to the table within minutes. I had a vegetarian burrito turned customized veggie bowl because I am eating clean April 1st through May 1st. I just added extra grilled veggies. My friend got a delicious looking enchilada plate which included Mexican rice and beans. The flavor of the guacamole was super delicious, I actually want to go back just for guacamole and chips. I didn't get to eat chips I ended up ordering some fries and dipping some in the guacamole to avoid eating chips I swapped for a little fried potato instead. The my food was full of flavor and I couldn't even eat it all. I had a margarita and was going to have a 2nd one. I wanted to try the lavender margarita and I was interested in capturing some cool photos but, our waitress was so busy waiting tables it was hard for us to catch her attention because we arrived during a very busy time of evening. She was a very good waitress but, she had to cover many tables & could have benefited from some extra help waiting tables. I changed my mind on the drink because, I wasn't able to get her attention again after she provided the drink menu. I waited & waved for 12-15 minutes. I started waving my card & asked for the bill. A guy came and grabbed the card & bill & sat the auto payment machine on the table & kept it moving. I am glad I didn't get the drink it would have taken too long to receive it in the time that I wanted to be drinking it. There was definitely a long wait in between asking for the drink menu, the bill, and having the payment processed. Drinks were good & food was good. We would have stayed later & had more drinks but, we had already made plans to do a little shopping across town before 9pm. I would love to go back and try some other food options when I am notcon a restricted diet and can eat more items besides whole foods, fresh fruits & vegetables.. Lol!!! #Guacamole is fire 🔥

8/2023 Interior and menu were updated. Quite busy at Saturday lunch, but there no need to wait. It has outdoor seating. Unfortunately, it seemed like our order was not put in for a long time. It took around 45 minutes for the food to come, the restaurant was almost empty at that point. Chile relleno was good. I didn't like the cheese enchilada. 2022 Beautiful interior‘s design, good food, drink and service. Relax and not too crowed. Highly recommended.

It's a really nice place! With an extremely cute patio area. The meats were all on point! I tried Chili Verde, asada, pastor, and carnitas. All were fantastic. The shells on the street tacos were perfect! They have a small chips and salsa bar. That was good. The atmosphere here is nice, everyone seemed to be having fun. Lots of people were picking up to-go orders that they had called in. Unfortunately, it took over 35 minutes to get my order of 4 street tacos. Others that ordered after me got their food before me. I'm sure there was a miscommunication someplace. No biggie, but a heads up. Thanks for dinner everyone!

The meat was good and their spicy tomato based sauce was delicious. My only complaint was the salsa they put on the table, they were not as flavorful as I would have hoped. Overall great new spot, I think they will do well here!

First I want to say that the staff at this location, as well as the other location is really great, my rating does not reflect the awesome and friendly staff here! The food at this Mezcal was not as great as the food at their other location, however the decor was great as well as the staff! The salsa that came with the chips was watery and bland, and pork in my Chili Verde burrito was somewhat dry and bland as well. My fiance ordered the Arrachera and it was good, but needed a little salt. Same with side of beans and rice. We probably wouldn't recommend this location, however the other location is amazing!

The food was okay. The carne asada was a little bit dry, and the meat was a little bit chewy. But the tacos were like 6/10. The choriqueso wasn't very flavorful, so I give that a 4/10. The salsas were all 9/10, and the spicy one is 10/10. I would try something different next time if I ever come back, the food was just okay.

My first negative judging thought occurred when the chips & salsa arrived. Thick chips, not at all light and crispy, with watered down salsa. Oh my. I ordered the Taco Salad with Carnitas ($13) and it was beautifully presented, such a sight to behold. But...it lacked flavor. For me it got better when I dumped three little bowls (2 green, 1 red) of watered down salsa onto it. So many other Mexican food choices available so I doubt I'll return to this one.
