This place was pretty great! Our waitress was a little bit slow, but I think ahe was the only person making drinks. The sushi came without soy sauce, and when I asked for soy sauce for it, everyone acted like they didn't understand that it normally comes with a shallow dish... it seems like a whole thing now, but it didn't bother me then. Mostly becaise the food is so darn excellent! I ordered thai hot and it ended up being the same as my wife's mild, but still excellent, and I will turn up my leftovers later! Good portions, excellent flavor, okay service, solid 4+!
The food was amazing. 🤩 bordered the phad Thai and it was the best I’ve ever had. The crab Rangoon was awesome! I highly recommend and will be a returning customer!
Had a friend recommend this place last August 2025. At this time they were running out of a food truck during renovations. The food and service from the first visit was enough to lock us in! We continued to visit every Thursday through food truck days and now they are finally open for dine in! We couldn’t be more thrilled!! The staff is absolutely amazing. Every time we come in we are greeted with a warm welcome smile, great conversation and exceptional food! Thai Spice Lees Summit is our hands down favorite!!
First time going, food was incredible. Only downside (which I won’t dock stars for) one of the dishes had mushrooms that it didn’t mention on the site in the description, and my partner is allergic to mushrooms. It was indeed the Black Soy Sauce Noodle!
Genuinely some of the best food I've had in the KC area! I order online and it is always ready on time and the staff are always really friendly. Definitely the best Fried Rice I've been able to find in Lee's Summit!
I have no complaints. The food is spectacular and fresh. If you are complaining about the “pre-loaded tip” on the website maybe you should pay more attention to what you’re doing and if you don’t tip these small businesses maybe you should stay home and cook some ramen noodles. I ordered some hot food to-go and was impressed with the way the to-go box was lined with foil and then they secured the juices with plastic wrap. 10/10
Food was excellent!!! I got drunken noodles (was not sure about green beans in it :) ) but definitely fantastic meal ! My husband got pad Thai and had same impression. We both had meat combo just to try different meat. I was blown away how great my shrimps was !!! Not overcooked, fresh and tested fantastic. My husband said he did not had this good flavor pod Thai for very long time As our chid doesn’t eat we had chicken nuggets for her and she ate them all !
Best Thai food in LS! Our server Macy was the only server working tonight and she killed it!! She was juggling like 8 tables and didn’t miss a beat! 11/10 recommend for good food and great service.
One of my favorite restraunts.....AND I AM A FAT DUDE. We get the same lady everytime and she remembers what we odered last time. Clean comfortable environment with soft lighting. And the food..... AWESOME! Just one of our go to places.
Love everything about this spot. The service is amazing - very down to earth and the vibes are perfect for a nice meal. I ordered take out, but I think they deserve an honorable mention for accuracy because I order for a whole staff and everything was perfect and made to order. Love the appetizer sampler plate, great for someone like me, who's indecisive and wants everything.
A friend brought me here to eat for my birthday a few weeks back. I have returned twice since then for lunch and plan to make this one of my go to spots. I didn't know they hadn't served in the dining room for a while. They'd been giving food truck delish for a few months. Talking to Jackie during lunch today was a delight and I was so happy to see her visibly moved by everyone enjoying their food in the dining room. It must have been hard not to be in such a special place for a few months yet I am so glad they've been able to return to operating on all cylinders. She even knew my order when I came back! Lol so thoughtful. Btw, my go to entree is the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Tofu! The salad was ultra fresh and the egg rolls were crispy and hot. Highly recommend for the high quality food, portions, ambience, playlist, kind staff, and cozy location! Make time to eat with them soon! You will enjoy yourself for sure!!
The crab rangoon appetizer was not like ones I’ve had before (they were pretty small), but very delicious! For an entree, I got the chicken pho and my partner got the Honeymoon chicken which was also pretty good. The atmosphere wasn’t anything super crazy, but it was nice and my Thai tea was also very good
We came here for the first time and it was f$cking fantastic!! The food was amazing! I had pad Thai with egg and the hubby had trio chicken as well as a full order of crab Rangoon s! The food wasn’t as spicy as he wanted but the taste and sweetness was on point! I will definitely be coming back here!!! My first time trying Thai food and I am in love!
Absolutely wonderful! We wanted something casual, but unique and this hit the spot perfectly. We had the dumplings as an app, then we split a Honeymoon Chicken (a nice sweet spicy sauce - and thick), then we ended with a Dragon Roll. Such large portions and the flavors are to die for. We will be back when in the area. *The Honeymoon Chicken was so good we forgot to take a photo before we dug in!
First timers and it was better than expected! I guess we thought it would be a quicker, more casual dining experience given the outside appearance in a strip mall. We were pleasantly surprised to find you actually get waited on and it was a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately we were seated in a separate room from the majority of guests because they were full and a couple of empty tables hadn’t yet been bussed, so that made for a little bit different of an experience, but service was still great. Jackie was extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy her job. We had calamari for an appetizer which was pretty good and great dipping sauces. We had chicken & rice soup to start which was also good. The sesame chicken & drunken noodles dishes were tasty and we’d definitely get them again. Their mild spice level was still pretty spicy. Their vegetables could’ve been softer and more seasoned. I’d say that was the most disappointing part. Appreciated that the meals came with soup or salad and two small crab rangoon. Good portions of food for the price. Overall, a great experience and we will be back!
Food was above excellent with huge portions. They need more sauce options for appetizers besides peanut and sweet chili. How about some soy sauce on the table? Our waitress was either new or not in the mood to be there. We had to flag her down multiple times as she didn't come to check once after the appetizers were dropped...and I do mean dropped. Otherwise highly recommend the food!
I happened to be in the area and was craving Thai food. I decided to stop by this restaurant that I had noticed for a few years but never had the chance to try. The Thai iced tea was delicious! I ordered the Siam rolls as an appetizer, but I was not particularly impressed. There was an excessive amount of lettuce, and I found it disappointing that they were cut up instead of being kept whole to maintain their freshness. I would appreciate it if the amount of lettuce could be reduced in favor of more cream cheese and shrimp. Cutting them up caused the wrapper to dry out. The red curry with chicken was good, but it could have used a bit more flavor. I should have asked for the spice tray to enhance the taste. I intend to return and try other entrees on the menu.
Current review 2/5: Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed having read my previous review. This place has so many random issues, it's hard to deal with. The service the last few times has been super slow, and our food came out cold because it sat in the window for 10 minutes+ according to our waitress. Today, there was moldy cabbage on our tray for our appetizer. Absolutely nothing was done about it. No apology. No refund. No remake of the food. Just disappointing all around. Previous review 5/5: This was WAY better than I anticipated! All of the food was fabulous! And the service was awesome too! 10/10 will be back!
My last time.... I ordered online and picked up. Before checking out my bill came to 75 something, then I was like what? Well if you dont pay attention, they have the tip %set automatically and you have to change it. So I corrected that and brought my bill to $59. I order crab ragoon, spring rolls, galangal soup with steamed rice. And requested it to be mild. Then order a honeymoon chicken mild with fried rice. :-/ HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! My soup was so spicy I couldn't even eat it. And the spring rolls was a HUGE let down as well. So I made myself a smoothie instead. Then the honeymoon chk didn't taste right at all and the chkn was different.... Don't waste you money here unless your just well off and don't mind a min of $20 meal and paying near $60 for it. Things tasted better when they were in the food truck.
Wasn't going to leave a review but after seeing the charge, felt more inclined. My wife ordered take out and what she brought back was awful. I had the seafood curry which I would describe as an unidentifiable mystery soup that was bland. My kids didn't want to eat their seasame chicken because they said it was too salty, I figured they were just complaining but after trying a bite myself, I couldn't blame them. You know when the top of the salt shaker pops off and all the salt piles on the food, that's how salty it was. Moved on to try my wife's honeymoon chicken and mango sticky rice, it was okay. Crab rangoon tasted like the microwavable ones from Costco. This was my first experience with this place and I will not be going back. I mentioned in the beginning seeing the charge. The total was $75 or so not including tax, and I ended up with a $105 charge due to a $15 tip being added which my wife swears she didn't add. Wish I would have taken pictures and video so you could see what $100 bucks gets you at this place. No, I don't want my money back or some discount for next time, just want others to know it's overpriced garbage.
Was ordering around 100 worth of food and when the total was 100 and at checkout became 140 I wondered what was wrong. Preloaded 20% tip, taxes of course and then 10 dollars in fees to pay for their website and cc processing. Your business succeeds because of the ability to order online ans pay so you don’t get stuck with a bag of food someone never picks up. What’s next charge for napkins, the containers the plastic bag. Pretty ridiculous given the price is high enough per item. If I called the order in a tied up an employee being paid 15 bucks an hour for 15 minutes it would cost you more than what you’re are trying to pass on in hidden fees and if I never showed up to get the food then what ?
