Abbiamo festeggiato il compleanno di mia figlia. Bella atmosfera, pietanze cucinate in modo eccellente. Personale e titolare molto cortesi e disponibili. Super consigliato per un pranzo o una cena nella bellissima Salò.

posto molto bello, abbiamo mangiato fuori sotto il loro pergolato, ma anche dentro ho visto che è molto bello e spazioso, i miei genitori sono stati svariate volte, e si sono sempre trovati bene. Cibo ottimo, eravamo in 6 quindi abbiamo preso sia primi che secondi, unica pecca non hanno chiesto la cottura della carne e chi l'ha mangiata l'ha trovata in po' troppo cotta, ma comunque di ottima qualità.

Ristorante trovato per caso camminando per le vie di Salò. Ambiente con molti tavoli sia all'interno che all'esterno e servizio velocissimo nonostante il ristorante fosse pieno. Personale molto gentile e preparato. Abbiamo preso un antipasto di lago per 2 ed era tutto buonissimo, per non parlare degli gnocchetti agli agrumi(non ricordo con quale pesce di lago)che erano eccezionali e niente da levare ai bigoli con le sarde. Ottime anche le verdure grigliate e la crostata di pere e cioccolato. Consigliatissimo

What a wonderful place! Enjoying the beautiful weather as we walked in Salò in November we were ready to eat and Cantinone was the perfect place. The space inside was warm and welcoming as was the entire staff. The antipasto of local fish was excellent as was the Gnocchi and Mazzo di olio. If you are in the area I highly recommend Cantinone.

A must! Hidden gem... Extremelly busy so would highly recommend booking. Tables close together but great atmosphere... Service was fairly quick and order efficient despite how busy it was. The Rizoto was devine (but too much) 🥴 The fish of the Lake was simple but delicious... Highly recommend. Thank you 😍

Highly recommend! They have very good seafood spaghetti. Truffle tagliolini is also good as well as fish gnocchi. You must try tiramisu. It was the best one i have ever tried. They have very nice garden so in summer time, its amazing to enjoy your dinner there. Definitely, you should not skip this restaurant. We were recommended by local people. Its worth to try!

Durante una passeggiata, decidiamo di fermarci a mangiare, ma non nel solito posto, e camminando nelle vie interne vediamo il cartello del Cantinone così decidiamo di fermarci. Devo dire ottima scelta! All'ingresso una gentile accoglienza, e soprattutto nel rispetto delle attuali normative, ci fanno accomodare nel patio esterno, che si affaccia su una tranquilla piazzetta circondata da alberi, e ci portano le liste; io, eterna indecisa, strano ma vero, ci metto pochissimo a scegliere! Menù fornito, non eccessivo e molto chiaro. Puntiamo sul pesce, che la sera cuociono anche a legna (non è da tutti), prendiamo un'antipasto di mare in due, poi io coregone al forno e mio marito il tris di mare. Non potevamo fare scelta migliore, pesce fresco e cotto alla perfezione, tant'è che metà del mio coregone l'ha mangiato il nostro bimbo di 9 mesi. Abbiamo ordinato anche vino della casa e due dessert, semifreddo al torroncino e tiramisù, entrambi fatti in casa, porzionati giusti, ottimi anche quelli. Ciò che abbiamo speso è proporzionato in relazione ai prodotti e al luogo, ricordiamoci che siamo a Salò, cittadina storica e turistica del Garda. Sicuramente ci torneremo, ma questa volta la sera, per provare il pesce cotto a legna. Lo consiglio.

Excellent value eatery, authentic, no 'coperto', tasty food, quiet location away from the tourist-packed lakefront. House white was delicious and ditto the spigoli with tomato and ricotta. Highly recommended. Only negative was my wife's mashed potato, which tasted slightly as if it was out of a packet.

Più trattoria che moderno ristorante fighetto di moda oggi. Dovrebbero svecchiarsi (via l'orrendo menù plastificato e i dolci preconfezionati), ma continuare a puntare sulla cucina genuina. Discreto l'antipasto di salumi, anche se non particolare; meglio l'antipasto di pesce di lago. Ottimi i tagliolini ai funghi, buoni i bigoli con le sarde e i casoncelli. Dolci da rivedere. Buona selezione di grappe, conto onesto.

Locale dall'atmosfera innegabilmente graziosa, un piccolo rifugio tranquillo appena discosto dalla passeggiata principale. La sua cornice, specialmente all'esterno, è forse la sua dote più costante e apprezzabile. La cucina, tuttavia, si è rivelata un'esperienza a due facce. Alcuni commensali hanno potuto apprezzare piatti semplici, gustosi e ben eseguiti, che giustificavano la sosta, per altri le portate sono apparse prive di nerbo, quasi svogliate, non all'altezza delle aspettative né del conto. Anche il servizio oscilla tra un'accoglienza cordiale e momenti di freddezza. Un potenziale che, purtroppo, non sempre riesce a esprimersi pienamente nel piatto.

3 stars is being generous. This osteria had a lot going for it with charming outdoor seating under grape vines created such a lovely atmosphere at night, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food just didn’t deliver. The black rice with shrimp was bland and uninspired, and the vegetarian entrée of three mini dishes felt confused. The salad was the salad you make at home when you don’t make to make an effort. The tiramisu was OK. It ended up being the most disappointing meal of my trip to Italy. Perhaps we just made bad menu choices, as some other dishes being served looked much better, but they really shouldn’t be that far off in quality.

This restaurant is located in the centre of salo and on the terrace you sit very nicely between the grape vines and fairy lights. The food is lovely especially the trufle spaghetti and cut beef. But the portions aren't big, it's clear the restaurant is designed for a 3-4 course meal. This makes eating here a bit more expensive but also perfect of you want to get the italian experience. The severs were super sweet and nice also they spoke english very well.

Locale carino e ben arredato alla rustica. Premesse buone dati i piatti che vediamo arrivare ai tavoli. La cameriera... non proprio accogliente. I sedanini alla matriciana di pesce erano parecchio salati, comunque abbondanti. Gli spaghetti alla chitarra alle sarde, pur essendo buona la pasta poiché apparentemente fatta a mano, erano purtroppo immangiabili perché il sale bruciava la lingua e copriva qualunque altro sapore. 12 euro a piatto. Il secondo, pesce di lago alla griglia, UNO, magrolino... 14 euro.... Bah Verdure alla griglia (anche le carote?!), mezzo litro di bianco e bottiglia d'acqua, 1 caffè : totale 55 euro. Non ci siamo...

This restaurant might be called solid and “authentic” at best. The food is acceptable but the service and quality is seriously underwhelming. Maybe it was us - but we were really treated like an annoiance. I don’t mind at alle that they insisted on speaking and expecting to hear Italian. In fact, I don’t like to order in German or English. But there was not the slightest attempt of hospitality or interest in our presence. I wouldn’t bother to write this, if the other restaurants in the region wouldn’t be doing such an excellent job in this regard. There was no smile, not even any observable feedback of acceptance of our order. Food and drinks were dumped at the end of our table without a word. Empty plates were collected before all of us were finished both for the first and the main course. To complete the disaster, we had to observe how the basket with the unused (because dry and tasteless) bread rolls was recycled repeatedly. Either the returned bread rolls were thrown back into a large paper bag - and retrieved from there for the next guests. Or the baskets with the left over bread rolls were forwarded directly from one table to the next. The limoncello on the house could not really change our impression, sorry.

We had dinner, a variety of fish dishes. In our opinion, it's an average restaurant, not the best nor the worst. Considering what you get, it's somewhat on the expensive side, but that's our assessment. The interaction with the staff was okay, but not particularly friendly; it might be due to a language barrier. All in all, nothing particularly special about this restaurant to come back.

Sadly we did not enjoy our time at this restaurant! Which was particularly disappointing because we were recommended to go from the b&b owner! That staff seemed uninterested in even trying to appear welcoming! The food was ok, but fell short compared to all the other places we visited in the area and in Italy as a whole. The worst thing was the speed everything arrived! The second you put your fork down they came and whipped your plate away even though the person eating with me was still eating!!!!! Then the next course was brought out straight away, no time to breath ! As an Englishman I don’t like tardy service but honestly this was a joke!! Totally ruined the experience and we left very unhappy and disappointed! Sadly having to pay for our dissatisfaction to boot!! Never again will I return to this restaurant and I recommend you don’t either!

Used to be a good restaurant for many years. Now, overpriced, poor service, and not interested in customer satisfaction. Complaints about the quality of food were taken (“we need to tell the cook the reason…”), but literally ignored. No “do you want something else” etc., nothing… Just another place that increased the price tags, the number of tables and lowered the quality. If you want to be treated like a tourist, go there.
