Una experiencia excelente de principio a fin. Desde que entramos al restaurante nos atendió Dani, un camarero muy amable y profesional. Que a parte de su buen humor y alegría supo recomendarnos buenos platos, estuvo pendiente en todo momento sin ser invasivo y siempre con una sonrisa. Se nota cuando alguien disfruta haciendo bien su trabajo 😄 Sin duda, una atención que marca la diferencia ¡Totalmente recomendable!

Si buscas un lugar en el centro centro de Barcelona dónde comer bueno de calidad sin que te roben por los precios, éste es el lugar. La chuleta muy rica, las croquetas de rustidos he repetido de lo buenas que están, las olivas, los torreznos todoooo muy riiicooio. Muy recomendable y volveremos.

We had an amazing experience at La Esquina Bar. Georgina, Juan and Cesar took excellent care of us. Everything that we ordered was incredible! We had olives, Roast Beef, Cazuelita de gambas, Bomba de la Barceloneta, Friturra de Calamar, Croquetas, Pincho Moruno, Brochetas de Corvina and a bottle of Tempranillo. An excellent experience in every way. The service It was impeccable, and the service from Najwa, Kleivy, and Gabriel made the visit even more special. The food was spectacular: the grilled tuna was perfect, and the "Rodonet"Caramelized ice cream was simply irresistible. We arrived to Barcelona for the first time and the doorman suggested La Esquina. We were amazed at the tapas we ordered. Zelma was our server and she took the time explain what each platter had. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The prices were also very reasonable.

Not bar food....... cuisine level food here with terrific service Simple café/bar with sidewalk seating - café is simple appearing but the food exceeds any expectation. It was simply fabulous. Our waiter did not speak much English so the proprietor, Gabriel, came out to serve us. He was so personable and dedicated to his restaurant. Gladly described the dishes in detail. Ended up in a conversation with history of Barcelona telling of us St. George’s day and how it is celebrated with girls giving boys a book and boys give girls a rose (sort of like Valentines). He brought the lady in our party a rose! The food was great! The apps were perfect. The croquette were tasteful and crispy and hot. Gildas de baqueroa (anchovy/olive/chili pepper skewer with ravigota sauce was unique and flavorful. Mains-beef cheek fricassee with mushrooms and Milanese rice with queso and Iberian ham were terrific comfort food with great taste. The Basque cheesecake for dessert was a great finish. On a noisy street, but we didn’t care ....... such a terrific find.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast since it was near our hotel. I got the bikini sandwich with ham and havarti cheese, which was simple but tasty. Cappuccino was good as well as the fresh orange juice. Reservamos para comer porque tenía muy buena pinta. Al llegar nos dan mesa rápido y a esperar, al cabo de un buen rato los toman nota para las bebidas. Después de esperar un buen rato y ver que se ponen a tomar nota a otras mesas que llegaron después, les pedimos que nos calienten un potito, ya que el pequeño de 3 años estaba pasado de hambre. Habíamos venido a este restaurante en dos ocasiones, pero esta tercera ha sido absolutamente terrible. Habíamos pedido los entrantes que eran unas Gildas y dos cosas más (esto al menos estaba rico), y tardaron 15, 20 minutos en darnos los entrantes (pensamos que se habían olvidado), además las Gildas estaban ya hechas y no entendimos por qué tardaron 15 minutos en traerlas. Luego de eso, tuvimos que esperar otros 20 minutos para que nos dieran el último plato que en teoría eran unos fideos, pero realmente es una fideuá y estaba terrible, incomible, tuvimos que decirles que teníamos prisa y que si nos podían traer los “fideos” porque no los traían. Cuando llegó estaban quemados, literalmente lo comimos y estaba crujiente, estaban quemados, carbonizados… además, cuando hemos pedido que nos lo retiraran (porque no nos lo íbamos a comer quemado) la chica se llevó solo la cazuela donde estaba el arroz, ¡pero no se llevó nuestros platos con el arroz que nos habíamos servido! ¡Ni siquiera pidió disculpas! Dejó los platos ahí y ni siquiera nos dijo de reemplazarlo, o intentar darnos un postre, o mínimo invitarnos a un café o lo que sea, solo nos lo quitaron de la cuenta. Finalmente, pedimos ya la cuenta (porque no queríamos estar más ahí) y encima todavía no se llevaban el plato y tardaron todavía más en darnos la cuenta, y al final tuvimos que levantarnos y pagar la cuenta en la barra porque no venían a cobrarla. No entendemos cómo el servicio y la cocina hoy estaban tan mal si éramos 4 mesas ocupadas contando con la nuestra. La verdad, hoy ha sido completamente terrible, luego de esto no creo que vengamos más. Servicio penoso, la comida parece que se habían olvidado del pedido y debido a eso llegó carbonizado y fatal, no creo que volvamos hasta dentro de mucho tiempo. Por último, por esas tres cosas y 3 bebidas fueron como 48-60€, es un precio inaceptable para la poca comida que comimos y encima los problemas que hubieron.

Honestly a little disappointed. Although staff were friendly, general knowledge about the dishes being served was very limited, not knowing what the dishes even were or the size of the portions when asked - unable to get correct information from the kitchen. I was served a main dish and my partner had to wait a further 15- 20 minutes for his. Meaning I ate the first half alone and the other went cold. The food quality was good and tasty, however the mains were small for their price, and would class more as a tapas or sharing dish as did not come with sides to the meat (when asked mains were described as a complete dish.) Staff were taking group pictures at the bar rather than clearing the table. This could be a really lovely spot, but staff training and service coordination needs a bit of attention.

Buenas! Somos trabajadoras de la tienda de al lado, ya que mi comprañera es Habitual de este sitio decidimos pasar el descanso ahí para que ella tomara su café y yo el mío, yo tenía mi táper de la hora de comer y estaba terminado lo que me había sobrado, ya llevábamos 15 minutos esperando a que alguien nos atendiera, en este momento salió una trabajadora de gafas a decirnos que aquí no se podía traer comida , le dijimos que veníamos a tomar café que trabajamos justo al lado, sin educación alguna no nos dejó hablar solo dando a entender que nos fuéramos, me parece nefasto ya que la mesa de la derecha estaba comiendo comida y bebida del Sturbucks, como trabajadora cara al público hay formas de decir las cosas, y siendo consciente que tienes que tratar a todos por igual, pero al turista no se le dijo nada y a nosotras sí, en general no volveremos a tomar café ni nada por el estilo, ni yo ni mis compañeros.

Le pongo una estrella por la comida. Unas croquetas incomestibles que además olían raro. Lo he dicho y me han dicho que nunca han tenido problemas y que eran del día. Como no me las he comido sólo me han cobrado la coca cola. En las fotos no se aprecia lo malas que eran.
