Walked in and had a party of 4 ready. Didn't have to wait in line sat down near the best table to view the river walk. Coming from out of town we wanted the full experience. We were eating in timely manner. Service was excellent all smiles, Good energy, fajitas were delicious. My daughter loved the Mac & cheese. When I come back down I plan to enjoy another Hot delicious meal with my party of 4. Our server was Gina she made sure everything was to our liking and our drinks were good. It was a busy night for her but she made sure all of her tables were well taken care of. If I come back I would love the same experience as this one thank u Cafe Ole Agave Bar (:

Will was a phenomenal server. He was extremely knowledgeable about not only the menu, but the drinks as well. He listed what seemed like a million different margarita flavors, and cautiously let us know what was the best thing on the menu along with the least favorite. He is amazing!!!

We stopped by here for lunch on the Riverwalk. The chips and salsa were great and the food was very good! Josh was our server! He was so friendly, and checked in on us several times throughout our meal! Great experience! Would recommend!

The food was good, chicken was slightly dry. The salsa that come with the chips while you wait is to die for. The margaritas were great and our server Teri was so helpful with our questions and was a fun time to be around. Come when the weather is nice and eat outside you won't be disappointed.

We had an amazing meal here. Teri took care of us very well. Biria Taco appetizer was enough for 2-3. We had a pulled pork burger and smoked Tacos. Portions are very big. Definitely value for the money.

Teri you’re the sweetest. Next time I’ll save room for those churros and ice cream. We were fully satisfied with the smoked brisket tacos. This salsa was a little spicy, but I guess you’re a true Texan if you can take the heat! God bless Texas and this wonderful restaurant.

Julia was awesome. Food delicious. And the most amazing fresh piña colada I have ever tasted (virgin since I don’t do alcohol) - but so good yall. Definitely check this out if you’re on the river walk. OH and super dot friendly.

First time I’ve been to San Antonio since I was a little kid. I picked this spot because it had a huge, beautiful patio. My waitress Kaylee was so unbelievably nice. I’m from Dallas so I’m no stranger to southern hospitality but she was so friendly, kind, and personable. And she always had a smile on her face. 10/10 waitress!

We sat right on the riverwalk and enjoyed the daily special- cheese enchilada plate and a house margarita for $12. It was delicious from the chips and salsa to the cheese enchiladas with chili gravy and charro beans. The hostess was warm and welcoming and our waiter made sure we had everything for a delightful lunch.

We went to Agave to grab dinner and it was such a great experience! We were seated immediately and greeted by our wonderful server Juan. He made sure we were taken care of and got our food quickly. The food was overall okay but the service was phenomenal! Juan alone made our experience great with how well he took care of our family

Staff was super friendly! Food was NOT good. The ceviche was ok, definitely not an authentic ceviche though. I had the steak and shrimp with chimichurri. The steak was cold, hard and dry, the shrimp was not bad. The rice was hard, not as in undercooked hard, but as in it was sitting out kinda hard. The charro beans were good. The silver lining was all the sweet staff.

Honestly I was really disappointed in the food here. We started with the guacamole and the flavor was okay and I prefer a chunkier texture. There’s lettuce under it and we were wondering if that’s to make it look like there is more. I ordered the combination #1. The beans and rice were the best part. The enchilada lacked flavor. The taco was okay. The chalupa was a fried tostada with meat, lettuce, and cheese on it. It was basically another hard shell taco. I was expecting something different. My husband ordered the smoked meats tacos. He said they were okay but there was so much fat he could have made another taco with the fat. The positive is the nice location and the service was attentive and helpful.

I do not know how this place has not shutdown. The food is the worst tex-mex food I have ever tasted. Taco Bell beats this place by a mile! We ordered the chicken tenders for our daughter, just by looking at it I knew they were going to taste horrible. Also ordered a combination with a taco, torta and enchilada. The ground beef was still raw! Margarita was watered down and also garbage. Avoid at all costs!

November 16th, 2025 I think it’s “Astounding” to lease such a prominent property on The San Antonio Riverwalk, and then allow actual VOMIT. To inhabit the attraction Tourists and Visitors come to see with the smell of actual Vomit. THE SMELL WAS HORRENDOUS. No I did not visit this place but it was absolutely disgusting to see this establishment disregard the visible and smelly sight of vomit!!! Your establishment makes our City look like SHIT! Not to mention the sub par food many establishments on the Riverwalk Provide!!! You see it, then decide to cover it up with Cloths that customers will use again?? Why not scoop it up and throw it away??? Even School Janitors do it on the daily! What a DISGRACE!!!
