Today, my husband and I went to try Hala Cafe. When we got there, we grabbed a menu and a lady told us to sit anywhere they would be right with us. My husband got the beef kabob and I got the chicken tiki! We also got the jajeek appetizer. The food is delicious, we will definitely be back! For the dessert we got the lady Judy it was so yummy. They make you feel like family. We spoke to the owners sister and told her it was our first time trying it out and she was excited to make us our food. She brought us a small surprise and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. This is a Jordan and Iraqi mix of food which we love. Highly recommend to everyone.

I did takeout! The lady is the absolute sweetest to my daughter. The food is so authentic. They are always so kind to us every time I come by. I definitely recommend this place. Its a hidden gem.

Don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself. This place is a hidden gem. The food is amazing. So much flavor and perfectly cooked & seasoned. The service is friendly, helpful, nice and much appreciated. Definitely recommend the beef tikka plate, chicken schwarma sandwich, and the bread is a must try. We will be back regularly.

I’ve been coming here since they opened before Covid. During Covid we ordered here on nights I didn’t care to cook. One time they made a mistake on our food and they drove to our house to bring it to us. I’ll never forget how kind of them that was!! Since then, I have gone on several occasions. They always have polite staff. The owner is often around and making sure there are happy customers. Over the years the food just gets better and I love it more and more. Best hookah on this side of town. Best tea. Best shawarma. I’ll go every chance I get.

A very nice vibe and excellent food! The service was great and while hookah is smoked here, it honestly isn't that disturbing to those who don't. The pricing was very affordabke and the amount of food you get for the price was very fair! I would 100% recommend eating here. They even have a little smoke shop right next door if that's your thing.

Since our arrival in San Antonio, we've been searching for a Middle Eastern restaurant that reminds us of our time tlibibg in the middle east. This place checked all the boxes. The food, ambiance, vibe, and hookah brought back fond memories of our time there. We will definitely return and can't wait to try more items from the menu!

This food is AMAZING! Everything is so fresh! The Hala Good Hummus is a Must! The beef kabob plate is also amazing! The bread is Giant!Will try the grilled chicken next. They also off Hookah, and have a nice outdoor area. Cameron was a great server, making recommendations!

Great food. Falafel was on point. The lamb was tasted good but I’m not an expert with lamb tika. The star of the show was the fresh bread and the hummus. 3 people can eat off 1 piece of the bread and a hummus plate. My complaint is parking. It is in a sketchy spot. Weird looking people loitering in the back of the parking lot. Lots of broken liquor bottles and dirty clothes strung around. Watch your car.

The staff are just as impressive—Heidi, in particular, was exceptionally friendly and made us feel right at home. Now, about the food—it exceeded all my expectations! The quality and flavors were outstanding, showcasing the kind of care and craftsmanship that makes a meal unforgettable. If you're looking for a spot with amazing Mediterranean food and a welcoming vibe, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We tried out a local Mediterranean spot, and it was a good experience. The food was pretty good, though not amazing. The environment deserves a B! it could look a little more put together, but I appreciated the music, which really set a nice atmosphere. All in all, a decent place to visit!

Quickly disappointed by this place. My husband and I came here because the reviews were decent. We were the only ones in the dining room but the patio was full. Waitress was nice at first but then forgot to bring us our drinks. Our food came at very separate times. Then completely forgot my husbands Turkish coffee. My sandwich was more like a burrito. Also was served plastic utensils with his hot dessert so that wasn’t the best mix. We probably won’t come back.

I got the gyro plate. The gyro meat was all uniform in size, burnt, and salty. It looked like it came from one of those prepackaged gyro kits at HEB. Looked nothing like the pictures. Very disappointing meal. The pita bread was cold and tough, and the sides of sauce were thrown in on top of the pita bread. Not very sanitary. The rice was flavorful & the salad was okay too.

Though I have never dined here, I am all too familiar with this establishment. They force this familiarity upon you, whether you like it or not. It's 2:36 a.m. as I compose this, and my windows have just stopped shaking. The constant wubwubwub and belted screechings of their featured talent make sleep impossible and a sense of peace an absolute fiction. If this was a one-off, I would think nothing of it - but alas, this has plagued the surrounding neighborhoods for years. People seem to really like the food, though. Plus, good on them for standing against food insecurity by providing for people at risk of losing their SNAP benefits.

I visited with my wife yesterday and the service was the worse ever The waitress treated us like she was just tolerating us No water no napkins no sauce even when I got up to ask her about the items she ignored as if I wasn’t there and kept helping a table that came after us the place was not busy in the dining for her to be shell like that but everyone noticed It was so bad the customer from the middle got up and gave us her napkins My wife initially wanted Coffee but after the service she was just ready to go None of the three tables that were there which were all couples were taken care of the correct way. Everybody noticed the waitresses attitude and behavior. It was very unwelcoming because of this, even though I love the food there we won’t be back anytime soon.
