I had an absolutely amazing experience at Sanchos! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, the spanish music was top tier, and the vibe was perfect for a great night out. What truly made the experience exceptional was the bartender, Jose! Their attention to detail, friendly personality, and impressive mixology skills took everything to the next level. They crafted some of the best cocktails I've ever had! Dani also made my friends and I feel like a regular, engaging in great conversation and ensuring every guest had a fantastic time. The service was quick, the drinks were flawless, and the hospitality was unmatched. If you're looking for a bar with an incredible atmosphere and an even better bartender, look no further than Sanchos. I’ll definitely be coming back! Cheers! 🍸
If you’re looking for a chill spot to see live music while you get some nibbles and drinks, Sanchos is the place. It has a distinctly San Antonio vibe that is strengthened with local music legends like Brother Dave and the Barrio Blasters. The floor managers are awesome, and I suggest you snack on the piccadillo nachos that come super loaded or the empanada of the day with a gorgeous flaky crust. Solid place for a good night out.
Great little two story building bar... right off San Pedro on the edge of Down Town... love the roof deck... with a great view of the city lights... there were a great amount of people.. and for as many people the bar was fast.. they have live bands. Just not that day. Been her five or six times... and will keep coming back. So if you see me there... just say hi... and I'll get you a drink.
We always enjoy this spot. Delicious food that is not your typical bar food. Friendly waitress and fast courteous service from all the employees we encountered. Good place to sit outside, drink a beer, eat some good food, and listen to live music or their streaming music.
This is best place ever I had any mexican food. Their server “Betty” is the best server I ever met in SAN ANTONIO, she loved her job and she was soo courteous, she was amazing in her job, starting from the call we made to Sanchez, and arriving there, the place build was beautiful. Betty greeted us with a big smile, betty helps us to order tacos nd nachos and tasty margaritas. The food came out so delicious and eye catching...betty loved her job and i think all the places should hire employee like betty. She came to the table very often and asked about our needs, she kept up everytime. I would also like to inform the manager regarding her service and its over all 10/10 experience. I would recommend everyone to visit this place and even get a chance to get served by betty.
Sanchos is always a good time. Drinks are made well. Food is hot and delicious and the manager, Danielle always has a smile on her face no matter how busy it is. All the team is great!
Really cool place. They have several sections where you can sit depending on what you want. We sat outside on the other side of the building from the band so we could still hear the music but enjoy our conversation. The food was really good. We had empanadas that were outstanding but also had the Chicken Tinga tacos and the Chicken Pastor tacos. Both were excellent with good corn tortillas. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive with a great personality. Great price for great frozen margaritas. Beer choices were limited so we finished by walking down to The Cove a block away. We will definitely go back and try other items. Great vibe to the place and made for a cool date night
Great food and great drinks. Service is excellent. Live music. Bandaholics on Thursday amazing band. You will have a good time at Sancho's.
Sancho's has long been my favorite Hangout. I love the food here. It is so simple but so tasty and healthy at the same time. I've never had a bad experience with the wait staff or any of the clientele here at Sancho's I especially love coming here on Thursday night and being part of the Ear-regulars that come to here Butch Morgan and the Bandaholics.
Great food, great drinks. Awesome music playing 👍🏽
They have great music, and BIG RED margaritas. Their happy hour has $3.50 frozen margaritas. A dollar more after happy hour. There is indoor (small area) and outdoor (front, side and above) seating. My order of chips and queso was really good with thick creamy cheese. Some pretty good dishes on the menu. A nice place to sit and have a good time with friends.
The food here is authentic, fresh, and specific. Tastes like Grandma's homemade recipes. The prices are affordable. Service is great. The sangria was refreshing and paired well with the food. Haven't been when they have live music, but I'm sure it's a great hangout on the weekends. Will most definitely continue to eat here again and again. Would recommend to family and friends.
Always a good time. 3rd time back & service is always great! The Guacamole Dip or the Cheese Dip with chips are my fav items! Recommended either or but if you're looking for one of the best burgers in town, try it at Sanchos! Its organic beef mixed with Chorizo plus grilled jalapeños & onions. Topped off with cheese and pico de gallo. The sides of whole beans and the rice where the bomb too. Mostly everything has a mild kick. They came with two small tortillas de maseca which were cooked just right. Spicy, Amazing and Authentic! And last but not least the Micheladas are made with ZinZin, one of if not the best mix out there. Great place to host a Sunday Funday with Family & friends!
Had a great time, experienced a local legendary spot. Amazing talent from Tan Tan band ( grupo Tan Tan)
Visiting San Antonio we chose this place based on the high review and photos of the food. Also thought the live music would be nice. It was a nice night, good weather. We were happily grated by the waitress and told we could sit whereever we wanted. We wanted to try the rooftop, but due to the wind factor we decided to sit down stairs where we and our food would have some protection. It was perfect. The waitress recommend the nachos and margaritas which after 9 on a monday are a $1 cheaper(normally $4.50). We ordered that along with their pollo adobado tacos, we ended up order a second to rider of pork belly nachos cuz they're that good. We could hear jazz music playing inside. It was a great experience, next time we're visiting we will try to stop here.
Love this place, food served late and always savory perfection. Sandy made perfect margaritas and gave exceptional service :)
The margarita was so good for the price. Nowadays I can’t find a margarita I like under $14 but I enjoyed theirs. Very refreshing and didn’t take like complete cheap liquor like others. The tacos 🌮 were super flavorful. The band and service was fun 😎 Went during the weekend but it wasn’t too busy.
Second time here this week, the food is amazing. If you like spicy, try the tinga chicken. Rice and beans are such a great addition.😋 Update: Ok been here 6 times in the last month and we've tried several of the dishes. The Tinga chicken is my favorite. Pork belly coming in second. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Yum 😋 You cannot go wrong with the bistec, it's flavorful and you can add spice to it with their salsa. Carnitas was also good but I prefer the 3 above. The nachos are huge, you can share them with a second person and still have chips left over. Tortas...omg the bread is amazing. Plus they add guacamole and beans into the sandwich. Go for the tacos, nachos, or tortas, you just cannot go wrong. Personally the tacos are where it's at 💯 The queso is some of the best queso I've had, it's a great appetizer. Service at the bar is great, the beer is always cold and the frozen margaritas are refreshing and go down way too easy.
Great place to check out if you’re looking for a bite and drinks. The upstairs patio had amazing views of downtown. Drinks were affordable and adequately strong. The tacos were handmade tortillas and the empanadas were the highlight of our meal. Servers were very attentive, definitely coming back
Secrets out with this one. Probably the best artisan mini tacos in town. You don't come here expecting the same bland flavors you can find on every other corner here in SA. No, you come here for flavor explosions, marinated meats, homemade corn tortillas, and a great time. I'm surprised I hadn't left a review here until now. Maybe I didn't want everyone to find out how awesome this place is? I hope I can still get a table after this 😜 We came back after a small hiatus and they added new items to the menu to include rice+beans with every order of tacos 🤤 and new frozen margaritas flavors. After sampling the menu for the last few years, we found our usual... Pulled pork nachos, chicken tinga tacos, and a pineapple frozen marg. We tried a salad this time which was pretty tasty as well. The best way I can describe this place is 5star food with 2 star amenities. This is where the SA scene hangs out. You'll find people of all walks coming here to enjoy a casual setting with amazing dishes. Honestly, the tacos here are better than most anything you'll order on the Riverwalk. Definitely worth your time to check them out. Seating can be limited, so plan ahead. Also, it's mostly outdoors so be ready for a little outside eating. You won't be disappointed.
This place is absolutely amazing. The parking is a little rough tbh, they have three separate lots so they recognize that. The Margaritas are some of the best we've ever had. Happy hour deals are pretty decent. Phenomenal chips in queso! The tortillas are made fresh everyday. Lots of options for tacos. We had the non-spicy chicken and it was great. We also had the pork nachos and we are a big fan. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend and will be back.
We stopped by Sanchos Cantina on Oct. 15, 2019 for a cold drink and something to eat. We sat outside to relax and enjoy the nice weather. We ordered a large Nacho to share and and 2 Cokes. The Nachos were delicious especially with the pickled onions. My husband also ordered some pork belly tacos which I do plan on ordering the next time we go back because they were awesome. The tacos were 3 mini tacos that came with beans and some spicy rice. I took the pictures of the taco plate after my husband had dug into it already. We had great customer service given to us by Kyle.
Drinks and food our great. Came in on a busy Saturday night and they were short on servers but their servers are so good that the night still went smooth and had an enjoyable time!
Celebrated my birthday and the rooftop setting was perfect! Our server was patient and very kind. I love the margarita flavor options!
Kyle is amazing I couldn't believe how kind and helpful he was for me being alone with my dog. Sitting outside nobody was going to take my order until going to the window I asked Kyle and he took complete total care of me because apparently the waitress for my table wasn't interested. Personally, I don't care much for the waitress here I've been one other time before with my homegirl and it was nothing worthy of mentioning the drinks were lousy and service as well it was much quicker than time but my second time around myself was made special by Kyle thanks man
Sanchos Cantina & Cocina — Pet-Friendly Verified by Retired K9 Bela!! Sanchos has everything you could ask for — delicious Mexican food, live bands, and a full bar that never disappoints. The bartender Herbie is amazing (seriously, I love him!), and the whole vibe just feels like home. The place has two levels — upstairs there’s a big screen and an awesome view, it’s such a cool spot to hang out, especially when there’s live music. Outside is perfect too — they’ve got those misting fans that keep it nice and cool, so even in the Texas heat, you’re comfortable and relaxed. Perfect spot to eat, listen to live music, and hang out with your dog. This place is officially No Pet Policy approved 🐾
The food was delicious. The music was decent. Our server was very friendly. This was our first food stop on our vacation and it definitely did not disappoint. My only complaint was the parking. We didn't really know where to park and the fast food place next door had signs saying they'd tow our car if we parked there.
So me and the Hubby were cruising around looking for unique eats and Sanchos filled the bill. It wasn't that hot yet so we sat rooftop. The misters were refreshing. We split some picadillo nachos and he had a bistec torta while I opted for the calabaza and elote tacos and a margaritas flight. The freshness and flavors were on point. The salsa had a nice little kick and the margaritas were the perfect pallet quincher. We'll definitely go back. We noticed there's a stage, so hopefully we can catch a show.
My favorite bar! The food here is off the charts. Soo yummy! There are excellent vegan choices in addition to dishes containing meat. Live music almost every night with some of San Antonio's best local musicians and bands providing a great variety of music. There is something for everyone from the music to the food snd a full bar featuring award winning margaritas. I've been a regular for several years I have to say the service at times is lacking, but through out the years Sanchos has always had a great staff. They work hard and are some of my favorite people! I recommend Sanchos to anyone looking to hear some great local bands and eat some excellent food. Lastly, I almost forgot, SANCHOS is a very laid back and casual shorts and flip flops kinda place. Be sure to pet the resident kitty cats while there 😀
As I'm dropping an employee off from Lyft to work, she tells me to check it out! I really enjoyed the smaller dive-bar and not too busy watering holes back in my day! Parking was a little confusing as I thought you could park immediately behind, but I saw the very clear signs that are marked, "NO SANCHOS PARKING!" or will be towed. There is a parking lot across the street, 50 feet from the front door entrance, which was nice. As you walk in, you should prepare to be a little tight as there is not much room. There's more bar stools at the bar than more room to fit. I was disappointed because I had to move one out of the way just to be able to squeeze in to sit. It's not a problem, though. That just means many come to have a great time 🤘. The bartender came right away and was so super cool and also offered me recommendations. On this trip I didn't eat but let me tell you, it smelled very good! He also made my drinks very quickly and served them together, which is always nice. The music playing in the background was also to my taste. Alternative, throwback made the ambient bar feel great! Restrooms were clean and fully stocked, which is a plus for me! I'm definitely planning on going back to see and hear the live music and enjoy some more cocktails.
Me and my husband loved it so much we came back two days in a row. The food was so perfect and authentic it made us feel in Mexico. The margarita was really good. The nachos with beef were addicting and the tacos were absolutely spot on. The portions are generous, great prices and atmosphere
This is place is a really good little place I always like to go yo when I come to San Antonio. The pork belly tacos were awesome and the carnitas nachos really hit the spot. The had Dos Equis Amber on tap and that was really cool! Come try this place out you definitely won't be disappointed!
Not a family friendly vibe but there were other families present. Really good food. Not the usual bar food at all. The pork belly nachos were a great appetizer and very delicious. Bistec Torta also flavorful and delicious. Spicy chicken mini tacos were exactly that... spicy! But so good. Cold beer on tap. This had more of a dive bar feel place with great food. Mostly outdoor seating. Indoor seating is mostly indoor but doors were always open so it still feels like you're outside. Wait staff wasn't your typical friendly feel but they were very efficient, attentive, and took care of us in a timely manner. I would take this over fake friendly and subpar service. We were extremely satisfied with the food, drinks, and service. We will definitely return.
The food is really good, the atmosphere is lovely, and all of the staff is extremely friendly. Almost every single person greeted me and my friend when we went. The only compliant is have is the proportions are kind of small, but hey that’s not that bad. It’s great food so it makes up for it. Our waitress was really kind too and on top of her game, I believe her name was Riann, but I could be wrong.
Have good margaritas here plus food is great. Have happy hour as well have good tacos and nachos

Surprisingly kid friendly great options and nice staff. Not too loud and accommodating
The food was tasty, beans were cooked but hard, rice was not rinsed well, and they lacked savory with excess of comino spice. Tacos are excellent and flavored. Carnitas tacos aren't carnitas, but carne de puerco deshebrada. Cups are plastic as well as utensils. Atmosphere is chicos banda. Staff is courteous and welcoming.
From the start we had two servers the first didn't seem interested in being there but then she traded to another server who came off as rude in the beginning but after some time he was awesome. The nachos are smaller so order several if your trying to share but they tasted amazing along with the tacos.
If you find yourself in the Five Points area, you need to check this place out. I've driven by it many times, and finally decided to check it out. Holy cow, I didn't realize what I was missing out on! They have a nice outdoor seating area with plenty of shade, the service is quick, and the staff are very friendly. On weekends, the menu items are a la carte, such as tacos, nachos, tortas, etc. But M-F from 11a to 4p, each order includes rice, beans, and chips and salsa. The Pollo Adobado tacos ($8.99) includes three shredded chicken tacos topped with cilantro, and pineapple (normally, it's topped with chopped onions, but we chose to hold the onions on this one and add avocado slices for $1.50). They were very generous with the slices (dare I say SLABs) of avocado. It was well worth the $1.50 upcharge. VERY tasty marinade on the pollo - not too garlicky and just the right amount of spice to it. The order of Carnitas tacos ($7.99) consisted of three tacos (all of the taco orders on the menu include three tacos). The tender, marinated pork tacos were topped with cilantro, chopped onions, and slices of pickled onions. Sometimes carnitas can be overly salty - not the case here. The pork was perfectly caramelized and was very juicy - not dry at all. The corn tortillas were deep fried and I would almost call them borderline "puffy" tacos. Very good and tasty! Oh yeah - try the empanadas as an appetizer ($5.99). Hot, fresh, and tasty!
Great place to relax & chat with friends. Jazz music played in background & the rain brought on a nice cool summer breeze. The guys seemed to enjoy their beer. My Cape Cod only tasted like cranberry juice so I switched to a Pomegranate Martini & tasted much better with Titos than the house liquor. I noticed several people ordering food & it looked good, I will come back again as long as it's a cool evening. Yes there is shade but I just don't like being hot & this place is a patio atmosphere. I hear this place gets very crowded on weekends, glad I tried it mid week when less crowded. Parking is limited throughout the neighborhood or you can park in small lot across street after 10p without worrying your car will get towed.
Live music most days and the beer selection is mostly Mexican brands. Good selection of tequilas as well. Good place to have a quick bite and a drink. Or stay the whole night. 🤷🏽♂️
Nice atmosphere, good food, a little pricey on certain items, but happy hour specials make up for it if you can get there for them. Ask for Ms. Abbey as your server, she knows her stuff. Also, if the weather is great, sit outside on the upstairs patio, a lot more room, and not as cramped as the interior or downstairs. Food is good, menu always changes so only a few staples remain on the menu.
Stopped by to hang for a bit, food was pretty good we got some nachos. The vibe upstairs was great, cozy as it was freezing outside. They have heaters and a nice set up for seating.
We were craving a brunch vibe with some good drinks and even better food, so we decided to give Sanchos a shot and i'm glad we did! Even though there was a small mix up with our order, It actually landed me something outside my comfort zone that I ended up loving. Yhe Picadillo and Pork Belly tacos were both incredible. We visited a bit early while they were running on a skeleton crew, but the staff did an amazing job regardless. They mentioned the full waitstaff arrived after 4 pm, so definitely keep that in mind. Parking is a little quirky, but the food and the atmosphere make it all worth. We'll definitely be back to try some more of the menu.
OK, so for me this place is a hidden gem that I didn’t know about. Food was absolutely delicious. I got the five tacos small but very filling, the rice and beans are crazy. Good I was surprise I go to a lot of places and the rice and beans are just an add-on. Nothing special I can go back for just rice and beans and be pleased cause the last time I had a good form of rice and beans was in Louisiana AnyWho, my food forgot to be put in or they had to remake it because there was onions wasn’t quite sure what the case was but it is quite all right I will definitely be back.
Fun atmosphere. Live bands are decent, usually jazz/blues style at least when I’m there. Food is good.. but the beans/rice is way too salty & spicy. Wish they would tone that down and let people add their preferred level of heat. The side salsas are quite good! The red salsa is less spicy than the rice by itself!
It was my kid's birthday and the one place he wanted to go had a long wait, so he opted for this place. I had hesitated coming here because it looked like a double decker dive bar. We had to park in a parking lot way from the Taco Bell, because they will tow your car if you park there, which is crazy because it is right behind the restaurant. I appreciate the cook who was outside smoking weed telling us exactly where to park. (You could see the joint he was smoking and smell it as you walked by.) We walked in and seated ourselves. There is one row of tables on the left hand side or you can sit at the bar. The food menu is limited to tacos, tortas, quesadillas, and queso. From the looks of the staff, it looked to be a punk rock/rockabilly Mexican food place. It was an interesting combination. The service was on point. The guy who took our order was very attentive. The Beto queso was amazing. I had hoped to have a tad bit more chips with it. The tacos were "street tacos" and were tiny. You could eat a whole taco with one bite if you wanted. I thought it was a tad bit over priced at $15 for 5 little mini tacos, rice and beans. The quality of the food made up for it as all plates were amazing. We did order a margarita, which the brought out in the same cups they used for water. It almost looked like a kids cup. Overall, it was a good experience and an interesting spot that I had never been to.

Had the nachos and I was not impressed. It needed more flavor or seasoning. Also had a frozen margarita and it was awful.
Food was authentic ! atmosphere was interesting. Bummer it was all plastic cutlery. Would come back again
Delicious Mexican food! Fun San Antonio dive bar vibe. Great service. Decent prices! Only complaint was the si Dow was open and cigarette smoke was coming inside.

First time here and it has a lot of potential for me in my planned future returns. I love the rooftop spot, it wasn't too high up but it was nice and simple. They might easily forget about you though if you're up there during peak hours. They have happy hours and boy does parking get tricky. They have plenty of parking spots and two lots for the place...they're just all filled up! What I loved the most is their pork belly nachos. I've never thought of the combo, but I sure did enjoy the entree. Pork belly was juicy and fat and the nachos and cheese were oozy and good.
Amazing food! Been three times and had poor service each time. We saw our food in the window, just dying as servers and bartenders walked past it since it wasn’t for their table/ guests. It’s a shame because poor teamwork messes up everyone’s money in the long run. FOH Manager and/ or Chef need to step up and re-train or replace staff. We will continue to support the business, but to-go only.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting a little bit more from Sancho’s. Here’s the good and the not so good. Good: I love the vibe. It was a hot weekday at 3 PM, so it was a little quiet, but picturing this place on a nice summer evening, I can only imagine the ambiance. There is outdoor, indoor and balcony seating. The selection is great. There are options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The food is tasty too! My nachos tasted stellar. The not so good: Portion size for price. The regular nachos cost $8. The large was $11. I went with the regular because I expected the large be way too much (mama margie’s style), but the regular was just not enough for a meal. Even then, the cheese and beans were only on the top chips, leaving a naked bottom layer of tortilla chips. Definitely order the regular if you’re trying to snack or as an appetizer. The beer. Unfortunately they were out of draft, but both bottles of Bohemia I ordered were underwhelmingly warm. Beer is a little on the pricey side for non craft beer. Womp. Overall, I spent $28 for two regular nachos and two bottled beers. Would I come back? Sure. Is it a go-to for me? Nah.
Starting off positive, the food tasted great. But the portions weren't as big as the price. And at these prices, being served with small plastic cups and styrofoam like we're on the side of the road sitting next to a food truck in a restaurant is odd. I asked to sit upstairs away from the live music so I could talk to my date, but should've just sat in front of a speaker because the table up there full of over served drunks yelling in each other's faces kept us from doing any talking. Our server was obviously new, and I understand we all learn sometime, but why on a Friday night? We spent more time waiting for our drinks and order and then to pay for the meal than we did eating it. We're weren't the only table waiting, there was 3 others, and one actually took off to go sit downstairs. We let the young women know we were ready to check out and she said ok and staired at the cashier screen for 15 min until the other waitress helping her came along and we asked her to close out our tab. We were curious about the vegan options, and like I said, what we did have was good. But as for the rest, we also found out and I think we're good. Gotta try everything at least once.
My sister & I used to love coming here for lunch, however, in the most recent few weeks, there has been a gentleman that has been behind the bar who isn’t quite nice. He doesn’t make you feel welcomed, any questions you ask him he answers with attitude or rolling his eyes. We always used to go sit upstairs and never had an issue with a waitress helping us immediately. Now it seems as if they do not have waitresses during the day but only that one guy behind the bar. It’s really unfortunate because the food is AMAZING as well as their drinks, but bad customer service can really hinder all of that.
This place has some killer tacos but limited seating indoors. If a band is playing it's too small of a place the sound kills the vibe. Go when it's not cold outside and you might have a better experience. The cove is 2 block walk and far better as you may have to park there anyway.
I think in general I wanted to believe that this was a good place to go based on the vibe and the setting. But ultimately the service was not good, the waitress has a lot of territory to cover and we did not get good service. Including a complete misunderstanding of our order. The food was OK, but way overpriced for what you’re getting. For that price you can do much better in the local area. Like I said, the vibe is great and the rooftop is a cool place to hang out. But ultimately the experience did not meet our expectations. We wanted it to be something it was not and for that I am giving it three stars. It’s average with overpriced food and slow service.
frozen drinks super heavy on the alcohol couldn't drink our drinks. Love the call names for the table. Kind of dark lighting could feel seedy. Carne guesada super salty.

Foods expensive and not good paid for chips and queso and it was 10$ margarita tastes the same as a margarita from taco cabana but I paid $6 for this one... Won’t be coming back here I don’t know how it has so many stars here... 2 stars for the service it was quick and the people were friendly Also no flour tortillas 10$ for this amount of chips and queso... plate isn’t even that big Plates are small and over priced as well You can get more tacos from the taco stands for cheaper... 9$ for 3 street tacos the size of a finger...
Dropped in today for lunch at I was in the area & love to sample local cuisine. The lunch rush was over & place was practically empty but with only one server for the place service was exceptionally slow. When the food did arrive I was quite shocked about how small the portions were for the price on the menu. The food was good & tasty though I wouldn't come back here, for the same price there's plenty of good places to eat that have better service & more proportional food for the price. The parking is across the street in a dirt lot so plan for mud when it rains. The outside patio has sandbags at the door, so I'm guessing it floods bad in the rainy season.
I ordered nachos bistec large, what I got more chips than a real nachos with ordered!!! Never again 15$ down the drain. Stay away from them

Worst place ever food cold, cooks were smoking while making food and got yelled at for “not paying” the tab even tho we did felt racially profiled
I visited with my sister and was really looking forward to trying this place. There’s a sign that says to sit anywhere and that a server will come take your order, so we headed up to the top floor and got comfortable. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes, and the only server who came upstairs completely ignored us, only serving a larger group nearby. We eventually moved to the lower level, hoping that might help—but even then, a server walked right past us and asked the table next to us if they were okay, without even acknowledging us. After 40 minutes of being patient and completely overlooked, we gave up and left without ever being greeted or offered any service. Really disappointing and frustrating experience. I hope this is something management can address, because no one should feel this invisible at a restaurant.
Been here a few times... 3rd to last time, an ADDITIONAL tip was added to my total after processing that I did not approve! 2nd to last time, I got double charged!!! Last time (today) my friend and I both had the 6.00 bowl SIX DOLLARS, it has an option to add protein- so, my friend added chicken tinga and I added bistec. Our bowls went from 6.00 each to 20.98 and 21.98... um... Whaaat?? The bowl itself is small. It's the size of the bowls you get nachos in at a little league concession stand. We asked our server to show us where the prices are for the added protein, her response was, "We had the same complaint from people last night and I told the manager, but he didn't budge"- I asked to speak to a manager, she said there was only her, the bartender and cook there at the time and someone would be there later. We each had a drink with these bowls and our tickets totaled 30.00ish dollars each. This is a total bamboozle! After the fact, we will take accountability for not asking how much extra the protein would be, but GEEZ, would anyone think 15.00 added?!?! I don't think so! Plus, since our server mentioned there were complaints the night before, I would think she would mention a possible hefty upcharge? This was a total rip off. We're never going back. 3 strikes, Sancho's, you are OUT! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TICKETS. ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE UNCERTAIN BECAUSE THEY CLEARLY DON'T GIVE A CRAP
The food is just so so and the service is lacking. We went at 3 and sat in an empty section. The server never came. When we finally went down to order he told us the section was closed but there were no signs saying that, quite the opposite it said seat yourself and the server will find you. After we sat in the outdoor space and had to go get our own food ( because “ you decided to sit up there”) we started to eat within 10 min we were told we had to move because our dog was not allowed to be up there on the outside patio. We had to pick up our plates and find a new table. The drinks were really bad we actually took 2 sips and had to leave it. I’d say if you have to eat here be prepared to be underwhelmed
I hate leaving bad reviews, especially when the staff are nice (as my server was). But when we saw the tacos, all I could think was "what are these, tacos for ants??" The tortillas (of which we ordered extra on the side) are comically tiny. The (vegetarian) nachos were also underwhelming, to say the least. (This picture was taken after a few bites, to be fair. Only four nachos had anything on them at the start.) We were the only people there, so it's not like they were busy. I feel so ripped off, especially given how expensive the "tacos" were.
Never had such horrendous service or food. Food was COLD. Vee Riot never came to see us and we were ignored all night while tables around us got served. No water refill, no drink refill. I try to be sympathetic i know he was weeded but he was also incredibly IMPOLITE. Waited 45 minutes for the check, sitting there with empty plates and empty cups. Three other tables sat after us were cashed out before us, had far more attention. And yall safeguard discounts YOU emailed as if it comes out of your own pocket. This place is absurd.
Show this email on your phone for a Buy One Get One Free Lunch (one per customer. Good Monday-Friday, 11:30am-4pm) This was emailed to me from their website when you signup for specials. I live and work in the neighborhood. I like to try and support businesses around me. Support the cause. When we arrived no greeting, we greeted the server. She seemed lost, not much energy. Told her our first time here and I have this email. She looked at it and said ok. The menu is light, mainly tacos. We had questions but she didn’t know. Ordered chicken tacos and she returned said they’re out of chicken. Very limited choices. Tacos are tiny. There ok but the chips and salsa better. Server liven up over time. When I asked for the bill I said do you need to see the email again. Said no. Brings the receipt with zero discount. She says they’re telling her we didn’t order off the lunch menu. Our first time, how are we going to know the lunch menu and what qualifies. Reason we showed email up front. Thought I was making things easy. And it tells you to show the server. So we ask for her manager. Here comes this little guy with a big hoop earring in his lip ready to spar. He keeps saying the same thing over and over. We didn’t order from the lunch menu. How does a new guest know what your lunch menu looks like. And we showed her the email. Finally he does what’s right and removes one of the lunch items. But he wasn’t happy. Walked away pissed. Didn’t have to be like this. Honor what you’re emailing new customers and wow with service. With this unprofessional attitude, you’ll never see myself or anyone I come into contact with. Tried to reach out to the owner twice but no reply. Reason I’m writing this to warn all. If owner was solid and cared, this would of never happened. People make all the difference. Good and Bad. Imagine he’s like his staff. Unprofessional and customer not #1. Probably why we were the only ones there during lunch time. If you’re looking for quality and caring service. This ain’t it. Learn from my experience. Save your money and disappointment.
