We highly recommend this place, though it might seem expensive 35€/pers, (it's a fix menu) it totally worths the whole experience, there are like 5 aperitif, 2 main courses, 2 second courses, 1 dessert. The food is DELICIOUS, local, tipicaly ligurian, fresh and enough for anyone :). The service is great, the waiter even explains for those who are interested how one dish is made, if you want to reproduce it home. Wonderful, don't have second thoughts! P.S. go hungry!

Was a really beautiful location up the mountain with parking next to the restaurant looking down on the valley. There wasn't a lot of communication but we sat down, chose a wine and were then treated to A LOT of amazing food. It was a set menu and we took what we got and it was very tasty. You can ask for smaller portions if it's too much. The service was quick and they were all very lovely. Thank you so much for a very special evening.

The best dining experience in Italy, and I’ve visited this country several times. Enjoyed the evening so much, that didn’t even had time to make any photos. Food was amazing, and the people hosting us were so kind and warm - as a nice contrast against all the touristy places visited before. All my best recommendations!

Great place, it is a fresh breeze in the middle of a hot summer. The place is four/five kilometers from the highway exit of Chiavari on the levante (east) side in Liguria. The restaurant does not have a private parking, nearby there is a free and public one. Otherwise in the upper street there is a lot of place on the side (two minutes walking). The restaurant cooks a lot of "small" dishes, which are mostly fish based. By the way the fish was very fresh and tasty. We had four to six entrees, two first courses, two second courses and a dessert. Remarkably, there is no menu but just wait for the waiter to serve food with no hurry but also not slowly. Definitely recommended.

From the minute we sat down the staff Ristorante Pepen did everything they could to make our visit special. The meal consisted of 6 appetizers 4 main dishes and 1 desert. Everything they brought to us was authentic and absolutely delicious. This was the best food we had eaten in 7 days traveling from Venice, the Dolomites and Lake Como. It is well worth the drive from the city. Highly recommended!!

What a beautiful experience we had at Sabrinas restaurant! She treated us like family and fed us like family too. Everything she served was INCREDIBLE! I highly recommend not only the food but also the experience at Ristorante Pepen. Thank you to my new Italian family! Be sure to get the fried gnocchi and prosciutto as well as the seafood pasta! Oh and don't forget the polenta. WOW! WOW! WOW!

My partner and I stayed at a nearby B&B and they recommended we go here. We got the €35 set menu and it was one of the best meals we’ve had and such a wonderful experience altogether.. so much food but we ate all of it! Recommended by a local resident, we enjoyed a fixed price dinner for €35. The meal was somewhere in the neighborhood of 13 courses. It was delicious - each course more unique and tastier than the one before with everything from fish to meat to appetizers to dessert to pitchers of wine. The waitstaff was so kind and worked so hard to help us understand what some of the courses were even though they didn't speak English. Sabrina and Daniela were wonderful . We would highly recommend this to anyone. The place was completely full so it obviously is a favorite of locals, also.

I came as a tourist, did not really know what to expect, but was really surprised by the amount of food and the degree of authenticity that I received! For 35 euros I received about 14 different courses which was more than enough including wine, water and espresso. I can highly recommend a visit to pepen and I'm looking forward to my next visit!
