My family and I love Red Robin (we missed going to the original location in Seattle however we did see it before it was demolished)... we would go to the one in Foster City all the time until it closed and it's now a Benihana... since it closed the one in San Bruno is the closest for my family and I... we usually sit in the bar area... Being my first time there, the burger(Haystack Tavern) I ordered from the variety of super unique and interesting choices is ( because I’m still eating) very delicious. The service was top notch. The front desk representative,(I forgot to ask his name) was kind, knowledgeable of the menu, and thoughtful (I can go into details). I’m not a big burger eater but from now on, if it isn’t Red Robin, I don’t want it. To my server at Red Robin today (El Camino real), THANK YOU! Keep being amazing and Excellent. The food was good. I thought the fries were a bit too salty and so I tried my best to remove the salt. We went on an early Friday afternoon. It was a quiet atmosphere. Our server was sweet and our food came fast. It was a nice lunch. Quiet atmosphere.

It was my birthday so i went to redeem my FREE SHROOOOM BURGER . Can't beat their bottomless fries and bottomless freckled lemonade (strawberry!). There was a homeless woman there eating and the servers were very kind to her.

We went out for my daughter’s 15th birthday with no reservations with a party of 11. We only had a 5minute wait time and was served on as soon as we sat by Densel. He was amazing. He was quick with every ordered and so nice.

Our first visit to Red Robin was greeted by Finn and her co-host (sorry forget the name but was just lovely in personality, friendly and accommodating to my wife in a leg brace needing comfortable seating.) Han was our waiter and within one minute of sitting down he was on the spot. It was a busy Saturday evening and not having to wait for service was SO refreshing. Han explained the ‘Rewards program’ sign up that garnered a free appetizer (we chose fried pickles which were amazing) and it was off to the races. The menu offerings are suited to any taste or appetite and the burgers were fresh, explosive with flavor and served at the right temperature. Families were having a blast, couples were engaged with each other and the bathrooms were clean. (Clean bathrooms also indicate a clean kitchen, attention to detail). Conner was working like crazy cleaning tables and having them ready for the next once large parties left with scads of dishes and debris showing the fun the groups had at Red Robin. The decor is inviting, festive and Americana. If you try Red Robin I highly recommend the Shortbread Chocolate Soufflé Cake. Melts in your mouth with chocolate fudgy goodness. So I give 5 stars to the tenth power.

On rare occasions I come here to get my egg burger fix. Saw some new items on the menu. Went halfsies with my GF on both burger/sandwiches. Royal burger and salmon burger! Both delicious! The salmon is really yummy! Might be my new favorite!

Red Robin is one of my favorite places to go, anytime we go the food is amazing and hot. They are on top of making sure my side and drink is never empty. The manager always stops by an has a chat with us. I come so often they even remember I don't like salt on my fries!

Had a great experience today at lunch with my wife. She needed to catch a plane so we were on limited time! Our server Helen was on it the whole time and got us finished with lunch with time to spare! Thanks for the great food and personal touches!

I enjoyed my lunch at this location. The staff members are kind and friendly. The food was made to order, very tasty.

For my first time in San Francisco I decided to try a familiar restaurant name. My decision was based on their royalty program that offers a free burger for your birthday! There was a 30-minute wait when I arrived at around 2:30 in the afternoon but that was do to staff shortages. They do offer to text you while you're waiting so you don't have to wait in a lobby or you can do other things until your table is ready. My waitress is very attentive running the whole half of a restaurant by herself. My glitches deserve a lot of kudos for an excellent job unfortunately I don't remember her name. The food and the drinks were excellent and made my birthday special.

My fave location!! The food was exactly how I ordered it and the server (Rebecca) was amazing. She made sure we got everything we needed and came back multiple times to check on us.

Came here about 30 minutes before they were closing and was still able to dine in. Kayla and Asher were very attentive. They both worked hard hard to make sure my party and I had quality service even though they were still closing. For Kayla just now getting her bartending license and she is really good and she made my drink to perfection. Asher made sure to relay messages to the chef and he did not disappoint on the sauces at all. They were super friendly and the food was on point for my first time being at red Robin. Both my friends are vegan so they had vegetarian options and they said that the impossible burgers were really really good if you were thinking about trying them. I would definitely be back.

The food was excellent, and our server was very attentive for our party of 9, checking on drinks and refill of sides about every 10 minutes. The bar side, on the other hand, was slow whenever I asked for a refill of Sunset Lemonade. And I wouldn't have had to refill as often if they hadn't filled the cup with ¾ ice.

This is a great spot for all my fellow vegetarians and vegans out their craving a good wholesome veggie burger. I tried their veggie burger with an unlimited side of garlic fries and oreo cookie magic milkshake. You definitely want to go here with a big appetite.

The place is nice but sometimes you need to wait since it can get full and there could be a wait list. On the other hand, the staff is very friendly and nice and they are always willing to serve and help with a smile. My wife and I went to have our dinner and the meals taste it awesome and delicious. You can have an unlimited fries refill and also for your drinks, which is great. We loved the restaurant and the service. Congratulations Red Robin and all the staff from San Bruno.

Old man Charlie Wiskertooth needed me to get him some darts for his crossbow and told me we'd get burgers at the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Restaurant if the darts I brought him were carbon fiber shafts with expanding razor tips. Charlie tells me the crime rate is getting worse in the city and it's spreading south toward him, and he wants to be prepared. That Red Robin Cheeseburger was the bomb! and the onion rings were the best I've ever had. 5 stars all day long! ☆☆☆☆☆

Neat little 1/3 pound burgers at Red Robin. The unlimited sides will make up for the small burgers. I prefer 1/2 pound burgers. We had the Royal Red Robin (egg, bacon, cheeseburger) with avocado $20.18, A1 steakhouse (bacon, mushroom cheeseburger) $18.59, Sauteed 'Shroom (mushroom cheeseburger) $17.39 and onion rings $14. There's an up charge for some our sides: garlic parmesan broccoli +$3 and garlic fries +$3. Everything tasted fine. I do like how the tower of onion rings looked. It came with 'campfire mayo' and ranch sauce. Our waitress was awesome. She did a good job checking on us. However, there were a lot of dirty tables around us. They don't seem to bus the tables in a timely manner. It is not appetizing eating next to dirty dishes.

From her warm smile and learning every name in seconds to making us feel like the only table in the restaurant, she was pure magic. She owns that menu; her description of the Jalapeño Heatwave was so irresistible that three of us ordered it immediately, and even our picky eater demolished every last bite. Bottomless freckled lemonades stayed magically full, apps came out screaming hot, burgers landed perfectly timed, and Rebecca appeared exactly when we needed her with effortless, flawless timing. Silly of me to think the San Bruno location would be as good as the Red Robin in Oakley; but, to my surprise, IT ACTUALLY WAS! Great atmosphere with a welcoming service, provided by Dominic. The food came out fast and the portions were well worth the price. Everything was so good I found myself still trying to finish even though I was stuffed! My only problem with the Franchise is they are too far apart, so as a Commercial Driver whenever I run into one I make sure to take lunch there!

Best service ive had at a red robin in the bay. Rebecca was our server & was exceptional. We were seated quickly, Rebecca answered all questions throughly with a friendly smile & overall vibe. Food came out quickly and hot. The quality was great, everything reached out expectations or beyond. Our server checked on us frequently & was quick to satisfy all of our requests. Additional refill sides were brought to the table with no delay. Ive been to other locations where they really lag on the refills, it takes forever to get another order of fries or salad or whatever it may be. Not here, they were on top of everything! Came up for a trip with my family at the last minute and we ironically made some of the best memories at this Red Robin while we were visiting up North. The friendly staff went above and beyond from the time we walked into the door, to the time we finished our payment and packaged up to depart. Our server made our two sons so comfortable and happy during the entire meal - I can’t remember the last time we weren’t rushing out the door to accommodate a grumpy baby, it really was wonderful. The environment was easy going and very clean, bathrooms were well maintained and food came out within a great time frame. Not to mention everything was absolutely delicious. For being a chain restaurant it’s so nice to know you can always count on quality food and stellar service. I can’t thank you enough and can’t wait to be back soon!!

Always heard of this place and in fact was recommended by many close ones. I finally made a visit, was seated immediately which was a plus because I arrived on a empty stomach. I got one of their famous burgers and a drink. The staffs were well trained and friendly which made it even more satisfying. My order was worth the wait and I never mind waiting. The burger was perfectly cooked and drink was great. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving a burger or just a place to be laid back. Definitely will be back!

I used to come here a lot when I was in high school. Nowadays, not so much. I recently ate here with my niece for lunch, and I'm surprised to see this place hasn't changed at all. They've definitely maintained this place well. From what I could see, everything was clean and bright. They got rid of the arcade, and it's now where you pick up take-out orders. We were greeted and seated right away. The server was nice. The food came out fast and fresh. They still had the freckled lemonade that I remembered. I had ordered the shroom burger, and it was flavorful and juicy. The fries were ok, I remember we used to tell them to keep the fries coming because they were that good. Something was different, that I can't pinpoint. We didn't even finish the fries they provided with the meal. We ordered mozzarella sticks, which is a standard appetizer, nice and cheesy, which had a good cheesy pull when you bite it. Overall, it was a good nostalgic experience. It's just crazy to see that not much has changed.

We ordered garlic fries, veggie burger, sweet potato fries and whisky river barbeque chicken burger. All burgers were delicious, especially veggie burger was beyond my expectations. All fries are unlimited which is perfect! The restaurant was crowded when we got there so there was 5-10 min wait time. One caveat is that they are a bit short-staffed. So it took a while for us to get our food. Overall, we had pleasant experience.

Like the new menu. Love the $6.99 pub style burgers with bottomless fries. The place was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. From the time we walked through the door, each person paid close attention to our needs and took care of us very quickly. Our food arrived quickly and it tasted great. Our server was prompt and always available when we needed something, but did not burden us with too much attention. I only constructive feedback is that it would be nice if they used some sort of filtering for their water.

Bottomless root beer floats and fries? It's my go-to place. And for those who want something sweet but alcholic, check out their Blue Moon shake. I'm not much of a drinker, but I will finish off a Blue Moon Shake if given a chance.

I always loved the burgers at Red Robin. This particular location in San Bruno could use a revamp. Not sure what it is about it that makes it look old and not inviting. San Mateo location when it was open was nicer.

Burger ordered came medium-well not medium. They start you off with about 10-15 fries (the amount a child would eat. Then each additional order of endless fries would be about the same. Would take at least 3-4 orders of fries to satisfy the average customer.

Ordered chicken fingers and side of broccoli. I know, it’s not the normal burger order but I’m trying to eat healthier. Steamed broccoli was just that - no salt, just slightly firm - just the way I like it. Next time, I’ll ask for a side of butter for just a bit of extra favor. Portion size was small given the price of $4. The chicken fillets were moist with a crunchy outside. Again, portion size was small given the price of $16-$17.

As usual a crowded place good thing if you seat at the bar you don't have to wait for a table. Great burgers but ordered a guacamole with chips and there was almost no guacamole it was more like a chips and salsa. The California Chicken sandwich was really good.

Their food is pretty good, although I won't lie--I come here if I need a heavy meal because of the unlimited fries. I've had consistently attentive service at the bar.

Very nice place to eat for lunch, from coming from SF airport. Which was 10 minutes away to sit down and relax. Service was good 👍 no problems. Place at the time I went was not too busy after 1pm.

Food was good, service was good, but really? Charging people when the kids play with the kiosk tablet device? And there isn't a parental ok? My son even read it and it was confusing. Scam. It was my bday so I got a free burger, but what a day I o end the meal with an extra $3 robbed from me.

Upon entering, I get it business is slow, but with so many open tables. We had to wait 15 minutes. They also sat us on the street side, which I don't get. It Christmas season, I went on black Friday, shopping shopping shopping, why seat people away from the parking lot. I want to keep an eye on my vehicle. Ithis did irritate me, but server was very friendly, served us timely and with a smile. Our food was good, the drink was the best!!! Sorry, no burger pix.

The food is always good but the experience is lacking. The waiters are great, but the atmosphere is pretty depressing. Not sure if they need music, fans/AC, or more TV noise but it just feels stuffy and still. That being said I enjoy sitting in the bar area more than the dining area and always have a good time. I’m glad we were seated in the dining room this time. The last time we were here we sat at the bar area and we waited 15 minutes to get a server to take our order. Mark was awesome (we came in at 2:30 on Memorial Day). The fries were hot and my burger was good. The bread tasted like garlic and the burger was juicy with plenty of mushrooms. Mark was constantly checking up on us to see if we needed any more fries or anything else. I wished more servers would model after him. He exemplifies all the qualities of a server who cares about his patrons and is courteous and friendly. We had a very good experience which made my holiday a lot more fulfilling. The music was a little loud. Maybe the mgr can tone it down a bit.

Pretty average impossible burger(dry), steak fries(flavorless) and mud pie(no gooey chocolate). Garlic fries were good though.

It’s my favorite burger, but the last time I went, the service was terrible. Besides waiting half an hour just to be served the first time, the waiter never came to the table. Such a shame.

2.5 stars but I'll round to 3. This place for the past 10+ years have always had EXTREMELY SLOW service. I had gone for the National Burger day deal and I don't think the restaurant was managed well. The wait staff seemed sparce and the refills would take at least 10 minutes to be put in and another 10 to come out. Seems a little exaggerated, but we had gotten 3 refills in a one and a half hour span. Pros: The selection as well as the quality of burger is good. The bottomless freckled lemonade & fries (garlic parmesan fries too!) of course. And what better to go with the fries than their famous Poppy Honey Mustard sauce. (Ask for a lot of sauce. You won't regret it) The waitress also brought out an sweet and spicy asian sauce that I enjoyed. Cons: very very very long wait times for refills. Always seem short staffed.

This visit reminded why I don't visit Red Robin often anymore. The burger arrived falling apart and it wasn't even that warm. The fries where meh this time. At least the refill was somewhat warm. Better than the first batch. It just feels like the kitchen just gave up in trying.

So it was Black Friday and we decided to come here for lunch. Came in at around 3ish, seated in about 10, and about a couple of minutes later, was greeted by our friendly server to take our drink orders. Fast forward, we received our food roughly in about 45 minutes after it was taken. It seems like the burgers have gotten smaller. I have been ordering a Banzai Burger for years and they really have shrunk! Also, I was upset to find out that they no longer add the blackberries to the lemonade. The fish and chips were ok but definitely not as good as Camelot in Pacifica. Overall, I do recommend better management to keep everyone on top of things. The staff just seemed to do their own thing with lack of enthusiasm. Only 2 employees greeted us, the host and our server. We sat near the kitchen and can see that it was really filthy back there. I also watched as the other tables next to us were being cleared and it is not sanitary at all in how they wipe down the tables. Food is ok but no longer justifies the price since the portions have gotten smaller and the service was just flat. Sure they still have bottomless fries but really? YMMV

I crave for Red Robin from time to time and this time they got the 9.99 burger and bottomless fries and drink special going on so I got that this time which is such a steal in today's economy even if it wasn't bottomless. Now the reason for the three stars is Red Robin as a chain restaurant is great and should have more locations. My biggest gripe is this particular location ALWAYS has slow service. From getting seated to getting bottomless refills. Service is slow and I feel like management does it intentionally with the refills to avoid giving out refills. Any other restaurants you'll have wait staff coming to your table every five minutes or so. Not here! It's like they avoid coming near your table on purpose which is a shame cos I want refills on my yummy steak fries and ranch but it always takes so long to get the refill or to even ask for more! I often ask for my second batch immediately as I order and has worked sometimes, but man. Y'all gotta do better or don't do bottomless at all!

Never again. Food looks nothing like the menu. Service is slow, but the waitress was super nice and very apologetic. Only reason for the second star is the nice grill flavour on the burger.

So, I'm not trying to bag on anyone, but the service was not great. It was midday/afternoon, so we may have been in between the lunch and dinner rush, to be fair. But we were bounced between a couple of servers, one of which was clearly not interested and seemed to be having a tough day. The dining room smelled like sewage, old grease and damp, used towel. The bathrooms were clean, but they smelled like someone broke a sewage line. I don't know if we just came in on an off day or what. I've eaten there before and not had issues. Food was unremarkable.

Went in on Saturday at 3pm. Had to wait at least 15 minutes to be seated even though they had plenty of empty table. I guess they were short of staff. We both ordered the special 9.99 special burgers but I wanted no salt on my fries When our order came out my fries had salt and my frends had so much salt she couldn't eat them.We asked our server if we could get 2 order of fries with no salt We waited 15 minutes and still no fres. I was almost finished with my burger. My friend had to go to the kitchen herself to ask for the fries .Our server never came back to check on us. I don't think I will be going back

Came to have birthday dinner. Daughters and I. Our server was great .... until a big party came. Then he left to attend them but no one came to help us. Took me over a half hour to finally get someone to get me coffee. I asked serval employees who had passed by. We were never asked if we needed refills. Our poor waiter was running because of large 30 people party. But no one to attend us. We waited to find someone to give us a check to pay some could leave. Management needs to correct things. I went to Red Robin on Sunday evening around 5 pm., with my two kids. The service was slow and the items were incorrect. Red Robin raised the price of the unlimited salad to $2.99 per person. Due to the slow service my kids and I wanted out. The server, which was a woman, did not update us on when the salads were coming, never refilled our drinks or provide napkins. In fact the server walked away while my son was asking a question. At this point, with the poor service I will not be returning for a long time. Very disappointed and quite upset.

My family and I spent the day in SF for my son's birthday 🎂. I was surprised to see a Red Robin, I haven't been there in years. We were seated quickly enough, but everything else was substandard. The food and drinks took a long time to come out, and it was wrong when it did arrive. The food was mediocre at best. I guess there's a reason so many of them have closed.

I used to go to Red Robin all the time. This particular time, I chose to go and get an Impossible Burger. Fries were oily and cold, and my impossible burger was cold. The manager really didn't apologize but had a BS excuse about having to change the brand of fries, and they're trying to get the correct temperature for the fries. He also had a lame excuse why the burger was cold . Didn't offer or give me a choice to see if I wanted to replace the food with something else. Just said he'll take it off the bill ! I will not be going back here for a very long time. No, hospitality or concerns I received from the manager.

Red Robin: Come for the Food, Stay for the Neglect Ah, Red Robin, where the refills are bottomless, just like the staff’s indifference! We hadn’t been here in a while, and after this experience, it’s safe to say we won’t be rushing back. We arrived and were told it’d be a five-minute wait—classic restaurant math, which, as expected, turned into ten. No big deal. But that was just the beginning of this slow-motion trainwreck. Our server, Han, took our drink orders and they arrived in a timely manner. We ordered our food, and when it finally graced us with its presence, one order was wrong. So while two of us ate, one of us just sat there like an audience member at a dinner theater, except the show was bad service and the ticket price was our patience. Enter the manager, a man engaged in an ongoing battle with his pants, which kept sliding down like they, too, were trying to leave. He said he’d check on the missing food and then vanished into the ether. Oh wait—he reappeared later… but only to sit down and enjoy his own meal right near us. Hope his order was correct! Meanwhile, Han continued his ghosting streak, expertly avoiding our table while tending to others like we had personally offended him in a past life. Refills? Had to flag him down. Fries? Had to flag him down. The bill? You guessed it—had to flag him down. At this point, we were basically running our own restaurant, except the only thing bottomless was our frustration. The cherry on top? Not a single thank you. Not from Han, not from the host, not even from the manager between bites of his actually correct meal. We left feeling like we had accidentally wandered into a social experiment testing the limits of customer neglect. Red Robin, you had one job. And much like the manager’s pants, you let it all fall apart. UPDATE: after Red Robin commented and invited me to email to discuss I did just that. Ghosted. Neglect from San Bruno restaurant to customer service.

Worst experience at a Red Robin that I've ever experienced. Appetizers came WAY after our meals, no one checked on us, not even our waitress, definitely won't get bottomless fries either! Never will return to this location again.

Disappointing Birthday Experience – Will Not Return Extremely disappointed with my experience at the Red Robin in San Bruno. After landing at SFO, we came here specifically to eat and celebrate my birthday before heading back to the hotel. We arrived at 9:28 PM and were told by the host that dine-in was not allowed and it was to-go orders only, despite the restaurant not being closed yet. We explained that we were more than willing to eat quickly and leave in a timely manner, but we were still denied the ability to dine in. Being turned away like that—especially on my birthday—was frustrating and disappointing. I’ve been a Red Robin member for years and always look forward to my birthday burger, but this experience completely ruined that tradition. After traveling and making the effort to come here, this was the last thing we expected. Poor customer service and zero flexibility. I will not be returning to this location and will be canceling my Red Robin membership. Very disappointing experience overall. *** drove 1 minute away and ordered at Burger King enjoyed our burgers were treated like royalty the King always takes care of us. Tipped the gentleman what I was going to at Red Robin AND finished with 5 minutes to spare till 10pm which is the time we would of finished at Red Robin if we were allowed to dine in

Fake Fake

Never sit at the bar tables. They ignore you. I sat for twenty minutes while the bartender helped her “regulars.” My favorite server with different abilities no longer works here, but he was wayyyyyyyyyyy better than all these other people with regular abilities. Hire better people and teach them awareness.

The first time we came here it was what to expect with red robin and was completely fine I love their fries specifically and that is what made us come back multiple times. Every single time we came back there was something off putting. We did three online orders on three different days and each one said our food would be ready at x time and when we came in to pick up it “wasnt ready” and we always waited anywhere from 20-40 minutes longer and when we finally did get our food it was cold as if it had been sitting there for a while. Every time we made the excuse they must be busy and we kept coming back but this time we overheard they may have given away our food on accident and we had to wait a half hour after being told it would be out soon. Terrible experience for just red robin
