What a lovely brunch experience! Our server was Stef and she was absolutely incredible. The food was fabulous, the drinks amazing! Brunch came with muffins that were so moist. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. We had a bit of a wait but it was just enough time to walk down the pier, which was a cherry on top!
I recently had the chance to go to The Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar with my husband, and I absolutely loved it. Located directly on the historic San Clemente Pier , The Fisherman's in San Clemente offers an ultimate Southern California dining experience. From the start, the oceanfront atmosphere made the whole experience so special - nothing beats enjoying a good meal while listening to the waves in the background. The restaurant specializes in Pacific Northwest seafood, offering a diverse menu of seafood. The food is consistently good, with an emphasis on fresh, well-prepared seafood. We have tried their Mahi Mahi fish tacos and Fishermen’s hamburger, they were freshly made and delicious 😋. Also, l enjoyed a chilled glass of white wine with my meal, which rounded out the experience perfectly. Service was attentive , professional, and efficient, even during busy periods. It's worth noting that due to its prime location and popularity, The Fisherman's restaurant can be quite busy, and parking nearby may be limited. Overall : The Fisherman's restaurant & bar is a San Clemente icon, perfect for anyone looking for a memorable meal with spectacular ocean views in a relaxed, casual setting. Whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it offers a truly Californian dining experience. We highly recommend it!!!
I had brunch here with my boyfriend and his cousin this past weekend, and it was such a great experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful views of the water that made it feel like a charming East Coast spot right here in California. I ordered the French toast and a Bloody Mary — both were absolutely delicious. The French toast was perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the Bloody Mary had a nice kick without being overpowering. They even surprised us with complimentary muffins to start, which was such a thoughtful touch — warm, fresh, and a perfect way to begin our meal. Our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. To top it all off, we didn’t have to wait at all for a table, which made the morning even better. Between the food, the friendly service, and the stunning waterfront views, this spot is definitely one I’d recommend and can’t wait to visit again!
I have never been to this restaurant and was so thrilled to be able to go for a date night with my husband. I have a huge thing for seafood and am always trying to make fresh seafood at home, but nothing beats going out for a special dinner on the town. This restaurant is literally on the wharf and has two sites to eat at. One is the oyster bar and the other is the main restaurant. We chose the restaurant in order for us to be able to sample all kids of food. We picked Bucket of Clams, a Half Dungeons Crab, Oyster Rockefeller, a Bowl of Clams Chowder and for dessert Crème Brûlée . We also splurged on a few drinks. Let me tell you this place was so fabulous. The broth the Clams were steamed in you could just eat that alone and be extremely happy. The Clams themselves were exquisite and so delicious and not over chewy, with no sand in site. The Oysters were so creamy and delightful, the Crab was steamed to perfection and didn’t even honestly need any butter. The Bowl of Clams Chowder was so creamy and rich with big chunks of clams and potatoes and you could just taste how fresh it was. The Crème Brûlée was to die for and was a perfect ending to our meal. We left there stuffed to the gills and will definitely bring coming here again to try other fabulous options. Oh and by the way the service was extremely amazing and prompt. They even brought us a complementary bucket of clams because we he first bucket did have a few unopened clams, so to make up for it they sent us a new one, which obviously we didn’t refuse. Thanks so much again ladies and gentlemen it was an amazing time we will soon not forget!
I recently had the chance to go to The Fisherman’s Restaurant & Bar with my husband, and I absolutely loved it. From the start, the oceanfront atmosphere made the whole experience so special — nothing beats enjoying a good meal while listening to the waves in the background. I ordered the Salmon BLT, and it was simply delicious. The bread was fresh with the perfect texture, the salmon was juicy and well-seasoned, and the avocado, lettuce, and tomato balanced everything beautifully. The crispy bacon added the perfect touch. The side of mushroom rice was flavorful yet light, which paired really well with the sandwich. My husband went for the classic Fish and Chips, and he was just as impressed. The fish was perfectly golden and crispy on the outside while tender and fresh on the inside. The fries were hearty, and with a squeeze of lemon and the dipping sauce, it was spot on. I enjoyed a chilled glass of white wine with my meal, which rounded out the experience perfectly. Overall, it was a delicious lunch with spectacular views and very good service. I left feeling so happy to have shared such a wonderful moment with my husband. We’ll definitely be coming back soon.🙊🫨💃🏻🙌🏻
Excellent 👌🏽 we visited with our large group for lunch and they even accommodated our to dogs on the patio in their carrier. (dogs are not permitted on the pier, so talk to management) Food was great, service was great, and it was a beautiful day in the sun. We enjoyed it so much, that we came back the next day for breakfast on their location on the left side of the pier.
Perfect location to enjoy lunch or dinner or even just appetizers amd cocktails. Good service and a great view. Try and time it for sunset
Came to grab a bite for lunch.place was very cozy, service was excellent, atmosphere was lovely. Food was exceptional!
The Clam chowder was not good. I ordered surf and turf. The surf part was a little bit too salty. My server was a girl. She was awesome
Went to Fisherman's Bar in San Clemente and gotta say it was a good call. I got the fish and chips and man they were bomb. The cod was super flaky and the batter had a solid crunch to it. Honestly the fish was so good it did not even need tartar sauce, which is pretty rare. Usually I drown fish and chips in tartar but here a little squeeze of lemon was all it needed. Super flavorful and cooked right. I also got the clam chowder with a side of sourdough bread and could not complain at all. The chowder was the perfect mix of creamy and chunky. Good chunks of potato and clams, not watery or overly thick either. Dipping that hot sourdough into the chowder was just money. The bread was nice and warm and soft, not dry like you sometimes get at other places. My wife ordered the fish tacos and I had a few bites and honestly they just missed the mark. They were cold, kind of chewy, and just did not really have much flavor even after trying to add salsa and tartar. Maybe they just had an off day with the tacos but I would not recommend them. Stick with the classic fish and chips for sure. Also gotta shout out our waitress. She was beautiful, super sweet, and really on it when it came to checking on us and making sure we were good and taken care of. Service like that always makes the experience way better. And of course you just cannot beat the views out there. Right on the pier, ocean all around, people watching while you are eating some good food. Whole vibe just hits different. Definitely worth the stop if you are hanging out in San Clemente.
The food was fresh and delicious. Seat with an amazing view of the ocean and San Clemente Pier. Raul our server was polite and gave great recommendations for breakfast. He couldn’t have been nicer. This was our second trip me here and both were great dining experiences.
My family loves this restaurant! We come here almost every time we visit San Clemente. It's become one of our family traditions. The food is always delicious. The service great! And you can't beat the view! It's so relaxing! Sunday brunch is great! Love their muffins! But for the other days, their sourdough toast is awesome! We have tried many different dishes and haven't had a bad one yet. Highly recommend!
I loved this place! Megan was our server on Saturday and she was so lovely and had great reccomendations too! Great cocktails too 10/10
Absolutely love this place!. I can't remember the bartender's name but he was fantastic. We ordered the shrimp fettuccine & peach and Brie flatbread. Both items were phenomenal. I can't stop thinking about it. Trying to get back there soon. I was there on December 24th
We went here Friday evening. They had live band playing. The place was busy. The vibe and ambiance was great. We enjoyed our time here. All the 3 items we ordered were very flavorful and tasty. The wonton mentioned in the Spicy Tuna was not really wonton but nonetheless it was yummy 😋. Blackberry Mojito Salmon was absolutely mouthwatering. Little bit of blackberry jam, lemony and minty.
BeachFire has become one of my favorite stops in San Clemente, especially for happy hour. They offer great deals, a fun atmosphere, and the kind of local charm that keeps people coming back. Their chicken lettuce wraps are my personal go-to… I order them almost every time because they’re that good. I also have to mention how welcoming they’ve been to our South OC Happy Hours community on Facebook. The group is full of amazing people who love supporting local spots, and BeachFire always rises to the occasion. They consistently take great care of us, which is one of the reasons our members love going there. Even better, through the SOCHH VIP program ( Also through Facebook), members now get 10% off the regular menu anytime. It’s such a great added perk at a place that already delivers delicious food, friendly service, and a relaxed coastal vibe. If you haven’t been yet, stop in for happy hour, grab the lettuce wraps, and enjoy one of the best local hangouts in San Clemente.
Super great food and staff! Our waitress was awesome and the food had great flavor. The fried pickles were perfect. The brisket sandwich had some great flavor combinations! Would absolutely recommend to anyone! The frozen huckleberry lemonade is a must try and the Pineapple Express martini is as well. Love it
BeachFire Bar & Grill is a true local gem. It’s one of our favorite spots—laid-back, welcoming, and full of charm. Whether you’re heading to the beach or just want to hang out and enjoy live music, this is the place. It’s the kind of spot where us locals love to gather, and it never feels stuffy or pretentious. I had the pleasure of getting a private tour from Sergio, who’s been with the restaurant for 23 years. He calls it his second home, and his passion shines through. He shared the story behind the wood throughout the restaurant—salvaged from the Mission in San Juan Capistrano—which adds a layer of history and warmth most people don’t even know about. The current owner, Edgar Carbajal, is also a local who started as a young bartender and worked his way up to owning the place. You can tell the entire team loves where they work and takes pride in what they do. Delicious food, amazing atmosphere, friendly faces, and live music—this is everything a great community spot should be. Can’t recommend it enough!
Wow I wasn't expecting such a great experience. I had lunch, the chicken quesadilla was amazing. They had live music so I went to the bar for a beer and met some of the regulars. One woman had too much to drink and was being absolutely insufferable to the bartender. It was very busy and the very attractive woman behind the bar was polite but stern. I didn't get her name but I couldn't believe she was so collected. Some other marines couldn't hold their liquor either and were asked to leave. After that the night crew came in and the band changed. There were no more drunks and everyone was having a good time. One of the bartenders, Sterling, was so high energy and engaging. He was giving high fives to people and making sure everyone was handled, even the people not at the bar. I ended up staying all night dancing and meeting new people. Everyone was so cool. Ten thousand stars!
Kiara was simply perfect! We received such kind and attentive service! The atmosphere was clean and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious; we recommend the veggie omelette from the brunch menu as well as the Vaquero? burger! The buffalo cauliflower was also SOO good! YUM! The kids cheeseburger was also delicious! The kids menu is verbal so if they don’t give you one, just ask for it from your server. Would definitely recommend this place for lunch/brunch!
A Coastal Comfort at Beachfire - If you have one stop to make, add it here! Stepping into Beachfire felt like a breath of fresh, salty air, even indoors. The beach-themed tavern ambience struck a perfect balance between casual and chic, with subdued lighting creating an intimate atmosphere. While the lively pop singer in the bar area added a vibrant energy, the main dining room, anchored by a truly majestic walled fireplace, offered a cozy retreat. My meal was a delightful exploration of flavors and textures. The blackened salmon was cooked to perfection, flaky and bursting with spice, and paired beautifully with the vibrant spinach salad. The light citrus ranch dressing was a revelation – tangy and refreshing without being heavy. The crispy onion rings were a guilty pleasure, golden and satisfyingly crunchy. A real highlight was the Capacity IPA non-alcoholic beer. I'm often disappointed by non-alcoholic options, but this one was exceptional. It had the full-bodied flavor and hoppy notes of a traditional IPA, making it a perfect complement to my meal. The waitress was friendly & attentive. The option for indoor or outdoor dining is a huge plus, catering to different preferences and weather conditions. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner with friends, a cozy date night, or simply a delicious meal after a day at the beach, Beachfire delivers. The combination of flavorful food, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent non-alcoholic options makes it a definite must-try. I'll be back!
We are in town visiting and this was an awesome stop for once we got settled in to our airbnb! They have a great selection of seasonal speciality drinks and food, and delicious menu options. It's a nice location and the inside has a lot of gorgeous artwork that you can buy. We really enjoyed our meals here!
The overall rating is a 9/10. Recommend trying the cauliflower wings. Food: Tried the cauliflower wings, salad, and fried chicken. All were well above average. Atmosphere: Very nice place with a patio and nice live music. Clean and well laid out. Service: Friendly waitress and decent wait times. No real recommendation for improvements.
Went to the restaurant side of this place and the menu is slightly different from the bar side. Both serve more or less the same menu, but the restaurant side has more choices and option like pasta that the other side doesn’t. Prices are similar and the service is attentive on both sides. The view is what brings you to this location. Get a table outside and watch the sunset as you are having dinner. The best dishes are probable the fresh fish and the bread which I had two of cause it was just so good warm and fresh from the oven. For those who are really hungry the fish and chips looked great (thank you to the table next to me for each ordering a plate), but don’t get a chance to try them.
Was in town on business and stopped by for a late lunch. Not living anywhere near a beach, sitting outside was relaxing and equally satisfying. The food (fish & chips) and service were average. That being said, I’d definitely visit again for the atmosphere alone.
The bucket of clams is always good and tasty. The wings were also good, and the margaritas were enjoyable, though a little on the sweet side for my preference. Overall, a solid experience and a place I’d come back
We came here for brunch, there was no wait, and it was perfect weather to sit outside. We ordered the clam chowder, poke, and the eggs Benedict with the waffle. Everything was delicious!
Very nice restaurant by the sea, specializing in seafood (of course!). We started with oysters and calamari. Then countinued with scallops (fresh) and scampi (fresh), all very good. I recommend this place.
Beautiful spot with a great evening. I rated an overall four due to the clam chowder. The texture and taste was great, having clams in clam chowder is a prerequisite. It was mainly celery and potatoes, more celery than potatoes. The fish and chips was great, nice fresh taste with a crunchy batter. The sourdough bread outstanding. Service by Giselle was excellent. I will return.
2025-06-30 Restaurant located at the start of the local pier. Features a full service restaurant side and a casual oyster bar side. We had lunch on the oyster bar side. We ordered clam chowder, calamari, seafood salad, grilled ahi sandwich, shrimp taco's and a kid's fish and chips to. All foods were delicious. I thought the bowl of clam chowder was good, but not spectacular. The calamari was breaded, thick chunks of squid body. The seafood salad was a bit pricey for just OK seafood with lettuce. There was generous amount of prev frozen bay shrimp and snow crab. Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere is great for a seaside bar with great views of the surf and pier. Would go back anytime.
We visited this place on a Saturday for lunch. The atmosphere is great, there was live music. They have outdoor seating in the back and the front. The food was delicious. We ordered the pokey, the buffalo cauliflower and the ribs. The flatbread was disappointing, as it was actually a cracker not really bread.
This place has a good atmosphere came in on a Saturday night and it was very crowded in the bar area. The food was good and they also have a good cocktail Menu to choose from. Although I would not recommend the fish and chips the fish was pretty dry tasted kinda like they were just frozen and they threw them in the fryer. The service was great and fast.
We did not have a good experience with food there but we had a very sweet waitress. The back of the restaurant does have a fireplace but the lights were too bright back there. It is more of a local bar for drinks and live music sometimes. We tried their carne asada tacos and they were so fatty and boring that we couldn't even eat them. The restaurant across the street was packed but this restaurant didn't have any people in the dining room but us - this is a big sign that something is wrong and the restaurant needs attention by the owners.
Today Oct 26th at 12:45pm we got the 3 pc fish and chips at the Gallery that is owned by this restaurant. There was something that looked like a worm/bug/parasite in the fish. I am not 100% sure what that is but look at my photos and see for yourself. If you Google it really looks like a parasitic roundworm. Upon confronting them they said they issued a refund. This needs investigated by the restaurant as this is potentially a serious health issue. The staff at the Galley did not seem concerned.

The Spanish Village by the Sea".
