Goody's Tavern, known as Banzai Bowls, is popular for its delicious and fresh açaí bowls with many options and beautiful presentation. The OG bowl and Da Kine are customer favorites. Be prepared for potential wait times, especially during busy periods.
Tip: Order ahead, especially if you're in a hurry, as wait times can be long. Also, be mindful of closing time, as service may be rushed near closing.

This is probably the best banzai bowls I have ever had. The fruit was all very fresh and the taste was off the charts. The portion size is very large. Presentation was beautiful too. Love this place. We will be back!
One of the best places to get açaí around. They have lots of options for Açaí and Pitaya. They have an assortment of different liquid bases that you can choose from like apple juice, coconut milk, chocolate coconut and even hemp milk. I got the Maui Sunrise and it was super good. Definitely will remain an açaí staple for me!
We love banzai bowls! This location is pretty slow so either call it in or be prepared to wait. Other locations are faster. We love the Da Kine with extra peanut butter and the Banzai bowl because it has everything on it! These are so refreshing and delicious. Their fruit is always really fresh!
Probably the BEST acai bowl I have ever had. Definitely get alot too in the LG good enough for 2 people to share love coming here. Tho alot of young kids working here and sometimes they are very loud when they are just "talking" with coworkers and visiting friends
Great variety of açaí bowl options made to order. Very fresh tasting and beautiful presentation with the arrangement of fruit on top. One of the better tasting bowls I have had. Order ahead if you can because it takes a little bit to make.
This place is great! Best bowls, so much variety to pick from and amazing customer service! Angelina makes the prettiest bowls:)
Gets busy but worth the wait. Delicious bowls and smoothies.

Banzai Bowls is super good. Been going here for years. Acai bowls are pretty expensive but it's worth the convenience of getting good food on the go to or from the beach in my opinion. Lots of tasty options on the menu, but my favorites are the Da Kine cuz I like peanut butter or the Banzai Bowl.

I am addicted to the OG bowl. I am a regular, sometimes 3 days a week! Customer service is good but they don't smile or acknowledge the customer or Thank them.
Great food and the guy let us order 4 bowls less than 10 minutes before close. He said he had to close the doors and we needed leave. Oh well. The bowls are delicious regardless of where we eat them.
Ignore the bad reviews from people crying about trying to buy food 5 mins before closing. This place has some of the best açaí you could find. Prices aren’t bad either.

This was my first visit to Banzai Bowls, and as someone who loves trying acai bowls at different places, I was excited to check this spot out. From the start, the experience was fantastic. The lady at the front desk was super friendly, and when I asked for a recommendation, she suggested some best-sellers. We decided to go with pitaya bowls, and I chose the Pupukea. When it arrived—wow! I don’t even know how to describe it. It was absolutely delicious! Unlike acai bowls, which I sometimes skip because of their tangy berry taste, this one was made with dragon fruit purée, and it was perfect. Sweet, refreshing, and so satisfying! I ordered a small pitaya bowl, which cost around $12, and it was more than enough for the three of us to share. Totally worth it for the portion and flavor! The ambiance added to the experience, with upbeat pop music playing in the background and retro vibes all around. The decor features old-school metal tables and chairs with skateboards hanging on the walls—definitely a cool, laid-back vibe. Highly recommend checking this place out for both the bowls and the atmosphere!

Great food, really fresh and delicious! however there is always at least a 30 minute wait. I recommend calling in your order ahead. It's also a little frustrating that their website doesn't list the ingredients of their bowls just photos.
Good açaí. Staff isn’t very friendly and they always seem to forget something. Also when I pay to add raspberries I expect more than 3. Don’t ever pay extra!!

The açaí blend is average, nothing to get hyped about. The wait was longer than usual (but that is to be expected due to the precautions set in place), I didn’t mind it. Maybe place a table outside the shop to have somewhere to sit and enjoy your bowls. Half of my strawberries were rotted but since it is to-go, did not feel like driving back to get another one.

The experience would be greatly improved if they set better expectations about timing. If you order on the app, it doesn’t adjust for business. Ordered my bowl at 10:04 for a 10:20 pick up. Still sitting here at 10:50 and they told me 10 more minutes. Banzai has been my favorite place since 2009, I take everyone that comes to visit, and I swear it’s the best bowl from the beginning, but staff needs better training, and more help. Poorly run by ownership.
We went out of our way to make a trip to San Clemente from Laguna to see Banzai after a friends recommendation. We arrived at 7:52pm. The place was listed as open until 8pm. We walked in to chairs are on the table and the one employee looked at the clock a couple of times and continued to clean hoping we would leave. We didn’t… We sat down until the food was made then he told my family we had to leave as they were closed, so we ate in the car.
I drove here from Laguna Niguel after telling my friend that I was stopping at Acai Republic on my way home to San Clemente. She told me her favorite place for acai is Banzai Bowl in San Clemente. I googled the lication, saw that it closes at 8 and my GPS had me arriving at 735... i thought, Perfect! I get to try a new place right in town with plenty of time to order and get home by 8, when my dads caregiver leaves. I was surprised to find the door locked and the chairs put up and the employees cleaning up. As I searched the internet and looked at the sign on the door to see if I had misread the closing times, 1 of the young ladies shouted for me to go away! That's when I decided to leave the review. If they were going to close early, I understand, but wouldn't it be better to come to the door to explain vs screaming at me in an annoyed and exasperated voice? I gave the food a 3 because I didn't get to try it. The service and lousy attitude deserve a 0, though, if not negative points. A poor experience with rude employees has me doubtful I'll return.
Please tell me which one looks like a large or small. I’m never one to leave reviews but this one really upset me. This is usually my favorite place to come. I ordered 1 large 1 small I got the bowl realized it was less than what it usually is and compared the two sizes before I asked. They looked the same. I told the employee “excuse me this was supposed to be a large” he look at it and goes “that’s a lot” at this point I didn’t want to make a scene so I just left. But like I stated I’ve been here many times and the large usually reaches the lip of the bowl.

The service was horrible. I asked what the difference of açaí and pitaya and she shrugged her shoulders and said I don’t know. She was not friendly or helpful. While she was making the bowls she constantly was touching her face and touching the fruit. When the bowls were ready one of them was missing strawberries and I asked and she said the paper didn’t say strawberries, I had to show her the menu that the ala Moana comes with strawberries. She was completely rude.
I walked in around 6:15pm. All the chairs were on top of the tables. There were 5 people who seem like high school students hanging around the counter. I couldn’t tell which were employees and which were just friends. I walked up and stood in front of the register and waited for a few minutes until one of them acknowledged me. I ask - are you still open? I don’t get a verbal response, but one of them steps up to the register and I place my order. I go back near the front door, take a chair off a table, and sit down and listen to them rant about life and friends for about 10 minutes. Keep in mind I’m the only other person inside. I finally stand up only to see the ingredients still sitting in the blender. Thankfully they awaken and recognize they have forgotten about me. The guy who took my order and two girls walk out and the remaining two scramble to finish my bowl. The kid who hands me my bowl says - sorry man. The whole experience was comical. Come on Banzai Bowl, you can do better than this. Too bad because your Banzai Bowl was good.
