Tremendous experience. I have never once posted a review but consider myself quite the foodie and history buff and I have to say the service, food, and atmosphere was incredible. Cannot recommend this place enough. Split the NY Strip and Prime Rib with my mom and they were both tremendous. On top of that with great service and super cool atmosphere, loved it.

I went there with a party of 19 people to enjoy my sister's birthday brunch. The food was GREAT, the service was Exceptional and Stellar and the view was to die for. To all: please go and enjoy this experience. It's best experienced with family and friends.

Went here because of my dad who really had good memories from when he was a kid. As an aviation enthusiast this restaurant was amazing for its atmosphere. The food and service were also amazing.

Loved the atmosphere! Such a fun spot tucked into an industrial park and it's bigger on the inside than you would think. You pay at the front door and are then shown to a table, both indoor and outdoor seating is available. The buffet has a fantastic selection, from breakfast staples to seafood, Ramen, a prime rib cutting station, an omelet station, desserts and more! The endless mimosas keep coming and there are a variety of juices if you want to switch up. I definitely recommend this spot for good food, great value, and fun atmosphere.

This place has only gotten better with time. They have a very nice outdoor space facing the flight line/airport. There are multiple bars and rooms throughout the building. This is a restaurant that turns into a club-like scene later in the evening (only on the 1st Friday of the month). There are two DJs that cover both the indoor and outdoor space. The crowd is definitely older (30s to 50s y/o) than what you would find downtown in the Gaslamp Quarter

Highly recommended for the great food and service. The name and decorative planes and cannons outside belie a semi-casual restaurant with an upscale vibe. Expect to find fancied up avocado toast, varieties of eggs benedict, steak, and rib eye. If opting to dine outdoors, you'll have a unique experience being able to view planes and helicopters land on the neighboring airport.

Had the chicken pesto pasta with beer cheese soup and their cheesecake with raspberry and chocolate sauce. Very flavorful, and large servings. Their cheesecake is one of my favorites.

Lots of (free!) parking. Up entering, very organized. Your choice of indoor and outdoor seating. A variety of food for the brunch buffet, including and omelet station, fajita station, carving station and crepe station. Seafood galore. The dessert table went on and on! And did I mention the chocolate fountain yet? Strawberries, pineapple and marshmallows are already skewered so little kids just have to pick it up and stick it under the chocolate waterfall. Pasta bar and a mini cappuccino station, too. Our server was friendly can came often to remove plates and refill my champagne. Bonus: all kinds of interesting war planes and jeeps in front of and behind the property. Even miniature planes hanging from ceiling inside, too.

Excellent service food was beyond and above expectation. Food was hot, very flavorful had eggs, Hot Carving Station for roast beef, ham, turkey, had Belgian waffle station, had a fajita station, had a dessert table that must have been 10 ft long. Had a chocolate dipping area, carrot cake ,cheesecake ,pecan pie, carrot cake ,cream puffs chocolate eclairs cookies the cappuccino station ,and more. waitresses were fast and friendly highly recommend

Incredible brunch on Sunday served in an establishment with the most character I’ve seen in all of San Diego. $82 (after tax and tip) for a delicious and extravagant buffet with bottomless Mimosas and coffee. You must visit!

My first time there and the service was amazing. Due to the covid we sat outside, but it was a beautiful cozy setting with a firepit providing warmth and adding a romantic atmosphere. Michael our server was great, attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious and definitely returning in the future.

Amazing little gem hidden by the airfield. Beautiful outdoor dining terrace where you can watch the planes take off and land. Exceptional service by the wait staff and everything we had was delicious. Not too busy, and not crowded on a Friday night. This is our new spot!

Such a cute and delightful place! :-) We loved the atmosphere and the food was very good! Alex was our server and he recommended the Churrasco; it was absolutely amazing! I recommend going around sunset to see the great views and the planes taking off and landing.

Today on a warm day with a nice breeze it was awesome to have the patio to ourselves. Jesse our server had an amazing personality and made the day even better. We love coming here on an impromptu brunch. It's simply a good time and oh don't forget bottomless mimosas and a great location.

Wear STRETCHY PANTS! This place is legit. We were celebrating a graduation and decided on 94th Aero Squadron. We sat on the patio, which is huge, with lots of shade. From here we could see the planes take off and land on Montgomery Field. Inside is decorated in a French farmhouse feel. Buffet was huge, a little bit of everything. Seafood was very good. Snow Crab legs were sweet and poke was good. I liked the mussels and the smoked trout was delicious. Everything we had was good. Champagne was refreshed constantly and everyone was very nice. They have a carving station with tri-tip, ham and turkey. Pesto was delicious. I didn’t take pictures of the stuff in the chafing dishes because they were closed and I didn’t get a picture of the carving station. Menudo was good.

We went for restaurant week on a Wednesday evening. Overall, the food was good. One of the better prime ribs I've had, being well seasoned and well cooked. My creme brule was done well but one of the other ones was a smidge over-bruleed. They also ran out of several things on their restaurant week menu, which is understandable since we were a little later in the day, but still unfortunate. The service was very friendly, but a little slow. I would definitely come back though.

What a true Aviation treasure to still have this restaurant location in sunny southern California, even better that I got to experience this location with a dear fellow Aviator from Denver and we talked for hours about our days visiting the Denver Stapleton International Airport 94th so many years ago, This needs to be on any true aviators must see spot if they are remotely even close to this location, Excellent service, food was good for what we ordered in the bar area, We did not dine for full dinner due to time constraints.

The food came out beautiful as always. We both have busy flight schedules this summer we barely get to see each other. I was so impressed by the kindness of the staff It was not busy We were given a quiet table in the corner well cared for and told to take as much time sitting in the Sun as we'd like. As the San Diego native this restaurant has always been one of my favourites but for my Arizona pilot / history lover this was his 1st visit and he was absolutely enchanted. Thank you

Really excellent weekend brunch buffet and really nice service. I was impressed with the variety of foods -- omelet bar, pasta bar, dessert bar with chocolate fountain, crab legs, sushi, ceviche, and so forth. Although we didn't wait too long for a seat, I'll go ahead and make a reservation next time.

I used to go here with my grandpa. He was in WW2 AND WAS A GREAT PILOT. I havent been in 20+ years and just had to go. I went by myself for lunch, and had the salmon in a lemon caper sauce, paired with mashed potatoes, and ceasar salad. Delicious!!! The French onion soup is to die for. The food and atmosphere is just as I remembered.

Visited 94th Aero Squadron for brunch. The restaurant is very well maintained. We ordered Meat omelette, lox & Aviator burger. Lox was ok, could have been better.. Meat omelette was great and so was the aviator burger. Opt for garden sitting for the view.

Good food, and portions. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. We didn't see much planes taking off. The two apps were yum and we want to try others next time.

Definitely a jewel in San Diego , the place is stunning , really depicts how a WWII building would look like from the outside, it has plane models right on the front. Inside is filled with memorabilia, from pictures to actual war items.all in all the bar inside offers great drinks and the mood is enjoyable for the whole family. To top it all down you can go outside to the back patio and enjoy the nice view of planes departing from Montgomery airport.

This place was really something special. The WW1 vibe was done with such attention to detail. The ambience and food was just incredible. The pictures of the exterior really don't do it justice. The tri-plane is worth a close inspection. I have never had a brunch that had such a variety of outstanding food. 94th Aero should be on your list of places to visit for a unique dining experience.

Awesome! Great service, Leticia was Fantastic. Good food. Good drinks. I got the Manhattan. Manhattans Early Flight Dinner Special $48 French Onion Soup 8oz Prime Rib W/ Mashed Potatoes Vanilla Ice Cream Old work food and just the right amount of home. Love the honor of those few who fight hard so the rest can benefit. It’s fun to watch the small planes take off & land as well. They even have the step & pull things so you don’t have to touch the door handle leaving the restroom.

Too many people either don't know about this franchise or have forgotten how good their food is. We had a great Valentine's Day lunch here at their buffet. Main course is beef, chicken, pork, fish, vegetarian tofu curry or stir fry w vegetables, mashed potatoes, LOBSTER mac & cheese or rice. HUGE salad bar w all the fixings, charcuterie meats & cheeses, nacho bar, noodle bar & desserts galore! Very affordable for such quality servings. If course, tea, coffee, water & lemonade are also included. You can watch small planes & helicopters just a few feet out of the window. Great place.

The 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in San Diego is a unique dining spot that offers a memorable experience. The restaurant is designed to resemble a World War I French farmhouse, complete with military memorabilia and aviation relics, creating an atmosphere that transports you back in time. During my visit, I was captivated by the cozy interior, featuring stone fireplaces and vintage decor. The view overlooking Montgomery Field Airport added to the charm, especially when small planes took off and landed. The menu offered a variety of American classics, and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall, the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant provides a distinctive blend of history, ambiance, and cuisine that makes for a delightful dining experience.

Had a great brunch at 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant! Went on a Saturday at around noon and paid at the entry and got a seat on the dog friendly patio with a great view of the air field. We were able to see many helicopters and planes land and take off on the field. The price for the buffet is $65 per person ($70 after tax, not including tip), so pretty pricey but a great atmosphere. A lot of great choices at the buffet, breakfast foods, seafood, sushi, meat, pretty much everything. The waffles were my favorite. They also come around with champagne (included) which is really nice. Friendly service. Recommend for a special occasion and you want to stay a while, great place.

I was here yesterday with my Family for Mother's Day 💐 I had never even heard of this restaurant prior to yesterday, but all I have to say is the vibe, the ambiance, the food the staff was exceptional! I was in love with the world war II theme, the memorabilia on the walls, the sirens that go off while you're in the bathroom was a hoot! I was scared but I loved it! I could have spent hours and hours just looking at everything they had on the walls to the ceiling, from the stone fireplaces to the outside grass area, the planes landing and taking off my granddaughter was mesmerized, the gazebo is where we actually had our brunch, I was truly a happy camper Happy Mother's Day at this restaurant. I will return, someday soon, maybe Father's Day?!

Beautiful place! A lot of cool relic Aero memorabilia. Food was ok. My braised short ribs were very dry ($46). The French onion soup was luke warm. His crab salad was ok ($26). First the server said it came with Avacado and shrimp ... Then came back and said it now does not. We had to add shrimp (another $18). Then when it came, it was missing cucumber. The building is really cool for a wedding or event. The grounds are filled with beautiful gardens. I feel that the food was over priced and underwhelming.

R
Rachit Gupta

The ambience and the vibe of the place was amazing. We went there around 2PM on a Saturday so had to wait for about 20 mins to get a table, but definitely worth it! Docked one star because the quantity you get for the price you pay is less. That aside, go here for the vibe and drinks!

M

Courteous and friendly service. I took one star away for my wine glass (see below). Charming, nostalgic decor, perfect lighting. Ambient and warm. Clean bathroom. The prime rib was delicious. I didn't care for tomatoes in my Caesar salad, nor did I enjoy the turnips in my entree. The wine was alright, but my glass smelled like it had been dried with a dirty rag, which threw off the taste. Pricey. A burger is almost $30.00.

C

Hello again it's Charlie along with my beautiful goddaughter Avaya out for a weekend spring adventure. So the 94th Aero squadron restaurant is set in a replica french farm villa just like you would find the allies flying out of in world war 1. The atmosphere is incredible, fu, festive and endearing, the food is good . The appetizers are priced appropriately. The entrees, however; i belive are over priced and could stand a 15- 20% reduction in price. The staff is attentive and very nice. If you want to experience some great atmosphere, good food and fun go to the 94th Aero Squadron restaurant in Kearny Mesa, San Diego. Sit outside and watch real planes land and take off from Montgomery airfield right next door . Till next time from myself and Avaya have fun, stay safe and keep the faith

For a buffet style restaurant the food is good seafood, salads, all types of protein but to my surprise the dessert has been cut down to smalls what happened to the cakes

Service was quick but place is expensive for about average food. Ordered calamari and it was fresh but amount you get for $20 seems like a lot. Order French onion soup cup was $8. Again it was made fresh but little too salty for me. This place is good for anniversary or special occasions but not your everyday or weekend dining place unless you are willing to spend $100+ per person.

R
Rick Rhay

The buffet is magnificent, and the service is excellent at times, but slow at other times (it took us a LONG time to get our check. The location is amazing, with atmosphere to spare. There is history everywhere, and the planes flying in and out right in their back yard is pretty cool.

B

Came in on a Wednesday night with no reservations, but we didn't need it. We had our choice of seating indoors or outdoors. We chose outdoors. This was our first time there and it oddly smelled like a restroom throughout the inside of the restaurant. And where we were seated outside, sewage smells wafted through periodically. There were flies around, but that's almost expected. Our server must have been slammed because we barely saw her and she seemed a little frantic. We got the Dirty Fries, Moscow mule, NY Steak with mashed potatoes, and churros. The meat on the Dirty Fries was. The steak was amazing though - it's the main reason for the 4 star rating. The churros had a strong taste of goat milk - which is a hit or miss, depending on your preference. I might come back for the steak, but that's the only thing I'd strongly recommend.

J
Jessica

The service was wonderful! The staff were very friendly. Not the easiest access for the handicapped. There is a ramp to go in but stairs inside. It was very crowded and somewhat difficult to get in and out of our seats. There was a line for the bathroom and a wait to get our table, even with a reservation. Brunch was mostly good. The crabs didn’t have much for meat and some eggs were soggy. Overall, most of the food was good. There’s really something for everyone with the huge variety!!

T
T Hella

The outside security was not nice, a bit over zealous treated us like we were trespassing. For amount we paid for our meal I expect i little kindness, on Thanksgiving no less! 10% to the kitchen on top of the tip??? Most likely never going back. Used to be very happy coming here,.......??

J
James Simon

Noticed they had a weekday buffet for $28 that included nonalcoholic drinks. Had to pay before seating. I should have waited until after eating to add a cash tip because it took a while after asking the waitress for a refill on my drink that the guy clearing our table asked if we needed anything. So I asked again for a refill. He did great of clearing our empty plates. There actually weren’t too many people at12:30 eating at the buffet. There was however a large private party going on in the other end but Servers refilling the buffet tables were excellent. There was a good selection of food and all tasted good. Salad bar had fresh lettuce and plenty of toppings. On the plus side was the plates were large ones not those really small ones. Plenty of room to load up. The lunch buffet included soups, fruit, salami, etc. However the best part was the quality and variety of the desserts. Small bites, but quality cakes. Much better than cruise ship desserts. I should have taken a picture. The ice cream was little cups of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. BUT Hagen Das! Lots of toppings to pick from including Ghirardelli chocolate syrup. Only downside for making a Sunday was the small soup bowls to use.

B
Benita Watson

Sunday brunch buffet with unlimited mimosas! It was reasonable in price and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive also.

e

Overpriced, but not to shabby breakfast buffet. Chilaquiles and biscuits and gravy dry as I expected from a buffet but the best part I’d say fruit was fresh and the upon request cooking station. Everything else was how’d you expect the food to be. Place was nice though with the pics and what not. Service was good from the guys picking up dirty dishes; it’s self serve but the hostess was great. Desserts seemed Costco bought but good. I’d come back eventually but not a lot.

If you're looking for a quiet place with amazing food and a nice view, this place is one of the best options( during the week), but you should be a little bit patient because even nobody is there it takes time until somebody takes care of your table, but you can sit and have joy for a different and beautiful view

G

Came here with my family on a Thursday for dinner with a reservation for our group of 7. It was not busy at all and we were seated right away. There is the option to sit outside, but we opted to stay inside. Lighting was a little dark. We were served water right away, and our drink orders taken. We were also served bread with a side of butter. The bread was hot, soft and fresh. We ordered the Crispy Calamari to share. The calamari was cooked well, but it definitely needed some seasoning. I ordered the Seared Salmon, and my wife ordered the Aviator Burger. The salmon was skinless, and seasoned and cooked well; moist and flaky. The burger, cooked to a medium, had great flavor and was juicy. The entrées come with either a soup or salad, which I went with a French Onion soup. The soup was good; not too salty or chunky. The service was friendly and great, giving good recommendations and being attentive. In my opinion, the food is overpriced, paying more for the view of the executive airport and seeing planes fly in and out. I wouldn't come back regularly for dinner, but they do have brunch buffet on Sundays, which would be interesting to see their food selection.

T
TonyTesla

Overall, it was a great food experience. This place will be the place where I tried escargot for the 1st time. It was good. The wife had the pasta and I had the steak. Both good choices. The calamari was heavily breaded and so it took away from the calamari. However! Their Mango Margaritas are amazing. 7 of those to be exact. I might not return for the food. But I would return for the Margaritas! I can't give this place my #fatboyapproved level recommendation. On a side note. The waitress that waited on us was amazing. They were obviously short staffed but her hustle was on point.

Martie Lauer

This place has been around forever and I have always liked it. It does not seem as popular as it used to be I was there on an early Wednesday evening and it was almost empty. But very clean and the waitress was pleasant and the food was delicious. I love the atmosphere old type French Farmhouse right next to the small airport Montgomery field.

Frank O'Connor

First of all, service was SO friendly! Our waitress was so kind and cheerful. The food itself was fine. The prime rib was good, my steak came out raw. Sent it back and it got cooked more but still rarer than I wanted. The burgers got rave reviews. Airline chicken was good. The dining room was loud due to a private event held on the property. Meal start to finish took two hours, service was extremely leisurely. Bathroom was one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen in a restaurant! Dining room had a funky smell. Good portions but expensive for the quality of the food.

This review is only for first Fridays - I had the most amazing time dancing the night away to old school R&B & hip-hop music, with different DJs inside and outside. The vibes were amazing and everybody was here to dance, and I had a wonderful time. The earlier you get there starting at 4 PM the cheaper it is to get in. If you pay with cash, they will not be a service fee. I’m definitely marking this on my calendar for every Friday to attend. Free parking. Also once you enter you cannot leave so if you plan to get there super early you have to stay for a while.

The view, ambiance, and the food was great! The service was a bit rough. We didn't drink the mimosas and because of that we didn't have anyone come by at all while we dined here. I was hoping for a water refill, which didn't occur. Other than that, I would say it's a beautiful place to have brunch.

We arrived on Mother's Day for $100 per person brunch. There was absolute chaos. Way over booked. Long lines and rude manager. I'll never go back. I consider them thieves.

I Came Here Expecting The Of The Best With Their Very Pricey Cost Of Their Brunch. Oh Yeah Plus The High Percentage Tip That Wasn't Diservered. I Heard They Had Shrimp Ceviche And Was Disappointed When I Found Out It Was Actually Just Shrimp. I Can't Say The Crab Legs Or Even The The Imitation Crab Salad Was Delicious. OH Yeah The One Thing That Was Very Surprisingly Good Was The Menudo. Yup The Lamb & The Beef Both Very Dry. I Definitely Didn't Like The Powered Tasting Eggs, Cold Sausage And Bacon. I Kept Having To Ask For More Champagne And Never Got More Water.

The restaurant was near empty, the food was average but sometimes greasy, and the service was a little slow. One thing that I didn't like at all: we had a birthday party and they sat us in a room in the back. I had a direct view on another table with staff employees cleaning glasses and silverware. Not appealing at all!

Great place. Service, amazing. Over priced IMO. We were promised a specific selection of food for a company gathering and it wasn't met. My husband and I were unable to eat what was provided since the chicken... Whatever was crab based. There could have been much more staff available for the amount of people in attendance. Even though they failed on multiple levels we had an amazing time. The limited staff that was there was pretty great. Over all, great time. Will not go back.

There's many food options but the seafood was overcooked, chilaquiles were mushy and service was slow (looked to be under staffed, waiter was actually great). Also, the bottomless mimosas aren't technically bottomless as or waiter explained. It is technically limited to 3 fills. We sat outside which is cute with games for kids available. Overall I can't justify the price for the food.

The smoking is so bad here on the first Fridays club nights. The smoke from all the smoking is so bad I have to hold my breath just to walk to some areas. They need a no smoking section for us non smokers.

We had a reservation for 630 today for Valentines arrived at 6:15 went to the bar 630 they seated us. We were the only ones on one side of the building we sat down. Then another couple was seated after us. A waitress finally came about 15to 20 minutes later and she took the other peoples orders first and then came and took our order. Thirty minutes later they received their food and we waited while they were served theirs until 7:35 there was actually maybe 50 people in the restaurant . I have to find the receiving our meal at 7:35 PM. It was burned. Please see the picture. I have to say it was the worst Valentines dinner we have had in quite some time. The only thing that was good was my Mojito from the bar. The part bartender served a good drink. Is why I gave it a three..

The food was lacking flavor. 😩 The sides were boring. Mashed Potatoes bland. Seafood chowder, bland. However, we both had the prime rib, and both orders were cooked to perfection! Then desert, cheesecake was bland.

I enjoyed their lunch buffet here. It was extremely affordable, and all the food was decent. The food was nothing fancy nor was the restaurant. The restaurant has a very homey vibe, and the food is of a similar style too. I came here during the holiday season, and the decor was so perfect for the holidays. It's a perfect place for a quick work lunch! Their outdoor seating in the back has an amazing open view, but it was too cold when I visited, so we sat inside. If I end up here again, I am interested in trying some dishes from the menu (not from the buffet bar).

Casino buffet style quality food but for about 2x more expensive and with a just mediocre selection. Service was slow and not the friendliest. Not terrible, also not great. Would maybe try again at a better price point.

Service and atmosphere was good but breakfast food quality on the brunch buffet suffered a lot from where it used to be. Clumpy scrambled eggs, bacon was at various levels of doneness, croissants were stale and orange juice should be fresh at $60/pp. Lunch items were better. Maybe the lack of staff is affecting this place or possibly just an off day but I didn't really enjoy it this time.

T
Terresa Eaker

The food lacked desire. Lettuce was wilted, bread rolls were hard when should have been soft. The placement of food was interesting as they had fish with chiliquilas. Sushi was falling apart and did not look appetizing. The made to order area was better but the taste of food was lacking. The servers took forever to come by and pick up your plates especially since you had to pay upfront for the service is even worse.

Overall sadly I would have to say I didn't love this place. We went here with a couple of friends for Sunday brunch we had a reservation but still had to wait almost 30 minutes in line. We got sat in the back with a ton of big tables I felt like I was in a work banquet hall and I honestly hated it. It really tainted my dining experience. I felt like I was in a motel brunch. The food quality is fairly decent but the layout of the restaurant and Buffet is not appealing at all. And for $86 per person it's definitely not worth the price. I think it's just not my vibe or type of restaurant I would enjoy. I will say the service and everyone who works there is very nice in hospitable but does not offset the overall experience feels very cheap.

Bottomless mimosas was the best part of the experience. The food was just “okay”. Tons of options to choose from though so there is something for everyone. My favorite was shrimp tempura sushi, ceviche, eggs Benedict and fresh fruit. Location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The service was wonderful!!!! I highly recommend making a reservation.

The place is nice. Omelet and pancakes were fire. everything else was ok. Very disappointed on all the Costco food they had there. For the price i expected fresh food. The waffles were the ones that don't need to be heated, you can eat them straight from the package just that they were cut in half. Now, let me tell you those mimosas were super good. The service was great till they seated a party of +20 next to us and the server forgot about us. We had to ask for refill on the mimosas and our dirty dishes got stacked for that small table they gave us there was no room to be comfortable. To get our food was super packed. As soon a you opened the lid to get your food you are getting pushed by the person behind you. I'll probably go for regular food but not Sunday Brunch.

I was so excited to take my husband here today for Father’s Day. I made a reservation. We did get right in. A woman told us to follow her and then dumped us on the back patio, expecting the server to seat us. She was very nice but was in the middle of refilling drinks. We had to stand next to a dirty table and wait for it to be cleared- bad start. It never got better. Our server Kristina did her best but she was slammed with tables so refills were a little slow. (Not her fault understaffed) Most of the dishes were not clean, food left on them. We started using plastic dishes it was so gross. The crab was horrible- overcooked . The meat was also hard and overcooked . I waited 25 minutes for an omelette as again, understaffed . Worst of all it was $100 per person for this sub par food. I will never return . We all had reservations so they knew how many of us to expect and just didn’t plan well. The only good parts was our very sweet server and the beautiful patio we sat out on.

For the reviews that gave this place higher than 2 stars, Im very shocked. Overall, this place is not worth coming to for the price they charge for everything. My husband and I came here with my mother in law and sister in law on a Friday night. I guess on Fridays they make it partly a night club so in order for us to sit down for dinner, we still had to pay a $20 cover charger for each of us($80 before we even walked in the door) We didnt care to check out the club scene and just wanted a nice family dinner. The place is super cute and cool. However, the food over all was awful and the only good thing was their beet salad. We ordered a tri tip sandwich, two plates of fish n chips, and a beet salad. When the waitress came by to ask how the food was, I was honest, but polite and said it was okay. I only took two bites out of my tri-tip sandwhich and was very unhappy so I just nibbled on the fries. I usually will eat anything, but this sandwich didnt taste good at all. She tried to help and asked if I wanted something different, but I said no as I didnt want to try anything else on the menu. My husband and his family said their food wasnt very good either, but they were champs and tried to eat as much as they could since we spent an arm and a leg for everything. Since I didnt choose a replacement meal, the waitress took it upon herself to bring us a couple of free desserts which was very kind. When we got the tab though, my tri tip sandwhich which I literally took two small bites out of was still on the receipt which I was disappointed to see. I couldve asked her to take it off, so thats on me for not asking. Overall, we spent $80 just to get in and another $273 on food that should not be that expensive as it was not good at all. We had really high hopes for this place but were very disappointed. Hopefully whoever is in charge of the food improves the menu or they should just lower the prices of their food because you could honestly get better food at Dennys. This place has alot of potential, but their food needs some serious help.

I have frequented this establishment for YEARS! I'm not sure what happened, but this is my LAST visit. Every first Friday there was a great happy hour, great grilled (shrimp, chicken) ,menu items, and great drinks. The service was prompt and generally thee perfect place to hangout for grown folks. I don't know what happened, but the service is slow and the bread served is cold and stale. To add insult to injury, we were charged a 10.00 admission at 5:20 pm, really? 10 bucks for what, poor staffing, a lackluster menu AND stale bread? The drink held up is a moscow mule. What type of establishment doesn't have copper cups? I would like to strongly recommend that the 10-15 dollar admission fee be used toward purchasing at least 4 copper cups. I apologize for the delay, but I just heard, "Ain't No Stopping Us Now." for the 3rd time in a row. This is the psycholological warfare the military warned me about! I'm here for the crayola colored shiny suits and gator shoes, lolol. I don't see any of that rn and it makes me angry, lolol. Where's my dessert dish on the new menu? You know the one with the whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries in the champagne glass? Now they are serving....wait for it, waiiiiiiit, CHURROS, tf? I drove 3 hours to get here and purchased 91 octane gas ⛽️. Naw, where's the owner? I need compensation or my ten bucks back. Well, ruuuuuuuuun don't walk from here!

Deviated ... Used to be one of the best ... That ship has sailed. Bad service bad food and there were about 4 tables pushed together for a big party ... Loud, obnoxious, screaming children ... That is NOT what this place is all about. Super disappointed spent top dollar for crappy service and a tough prime rib and a cold yellow tail ... What a birthday treat ... SUPER disappointed ... This place used to be top notch!

Mediocre hotel level food, reservations mean nothing, stunning ambience especially outside My husband was very proud that he had gotten brunch reservations here for Mother's Day. We arrived exactly at our time of 9:45. There was a whole line of roughly 40 people waiting who all had reservations. The line moved decently quick but it was still weird to have to wait with reservations. We finally got checked in around 10:05 I believe. But that didn't mean we had a table. Reservations don't mean you have a table apparently. My understanding was that they had a sign out front stating that reservations had priority. But let's say if I had showed up at 9:15. I would have been sat long before my 9:45 reservation. I'm willing to be wrong about this however. It's just based on my own understanding. We had to wait in a very pretty foyer for around 15 minutes. I got bored and went to check out the food. It was hard to believe we were being asked to pay 80 bucks per adult and I believe $40 or $45 per child for what was essentially a Marriott level breakfast as well as some seafood. It was completely cramped with people elbowing each other. Loud noise and kind of hot and sweaty. I did see people with crab legs and in a corner. I also saw the prime rib that was advertised. But I couldn't get close enough to get a photo. Maybe it was amazing. Maybe it was worth that extra money and I just didn't know because I wasn't willing to wait around. My twin kids were hungry and although I gave them snacks before we left, we had not factored in the extra wait time. The lady in the front taking care of reservations did seem very apologetic and mildly surprised when we were leaving. The staff themselves seem to be hustling pretty hardcore. I'm pretty sure this is the fault of some really poor managerial decision that everyone else just had to compensate for in chaos. Maybe a brunch on a different day would be worth the price and wait. As for me and my family, we went to studio diner where I got a free mimosa and got sat immediately.

The theming was great. Amazing world war I artifacts. Awesome atmosphere! Be aware that the food was not good at all. What appeared to be all the same exact shaped round meatloaf slices like what you buy in the frozen section of your grocery store freezer aisle. Just be aware before you go. If you like great theming, interested in World War I, and don’t care as much about the food… then definitely worth a visit. If you are Weston’s the hefty price to Include good food, then definitely skip it.

Skip the pricey lunch buffet. Probably one of the worst buffets I have seen in quite awhile. The limited selection of hot foods all look like they came in frozen bags from Wally World. The salad bar consisted of a large bowl of greens and some small bowls of cut vegetables. After paying the expensive "admission charge" don't bother looking for a carving station serving hot sliced meats - there isn't one. Not even any sliced ham or beef on the buffet line. The "seasonal vegetables" came from a supermarket bag of frozen vegetables and were watery, mushy and flavorless from sitting on the steam line all day. No desserts to speak of; mostly a couple of trays of stale cookies and some very tiny cubes of brownies (?). Everything on the three rows of food looked (and tasted) as if it had been sitting out all day. Nothing that my dining companion and I ate tasted remotely good. The place was very quiet, but only because there were only 4 other customers in there the whole time we were there. A final insult - after paying the expensive price for this selection of reheated, frozen food, I found an added charge on my receipt: A 5% "kitchen surcharge". Do yourself a favor and skip this place if you are looking for an all you can eat buffet.

I had such high hopes for this place after looking at it online and then walking up. However, almost immediately the experience was awful. Upon walking in our whole party wasn’t all there yet. I asked if I could just go have a look at the place because it looked so cool. The hostess said no, not until your entire party is here or if you want to just pay now. It was very awkward and incredibly rude. The service from that point on was basically the same. Slow and not friendly in the least. Our server ended up being pretty nice but generally speaking the service was bad. Then there’s the food. It was terrible. Everything was bad. The prime rib was the most overcooked, awful meat I’ve had. Prime rib should never be served well done. Every single thing was bad. Rolls were stale. Even the bacon was bad, and I’ve never had bacon I didn’t like. The Sunday buffet, which is what we were there for, was almost $900 for our party of 10. The fact we paid that much for this terrible place is astounding. I’m not sure how anyone could ever justify that money for that food. The only plus was that the restaurant itself is cool. However, no air conditioning and no circulation in the place so it was also uncomfortably hot. All in all, terrible experience. If you are looking for a buffet you can find so many significantly better experiences in San Diego for 1/3 the price.

Went here for Mother’s Day and it was a disaster. It was so packed that the lines for the buffet were out of control. People were running into each other, cutting lines, arguing, and generally irate. Much of the food was in unacceptable condition, cold, old, or picked over and not replenished. I had reserved seating outside and they sat us inside where it was terribly hot. The servers were overwhelmed. It just seemed like they were trying to get as many people in as possible to make their money and the service suffered because of it. It was certainly not worth the price. I don’t think I would go back and definitely would not recommend it to others. Edit to add: the food made me and my son ill. Awful.

I'm so incredibly disappointed with Aero Squadron. I have lots of fond memories coming here as a kid, listening in on the radio as the pilots would come and go. The food used to be absolutely fantastic (loved the French onion soup, cream of corn, fresh bread, I could go on and on) and it was always a treat to come here. But that was 20 years ago. Now? I think they're just making by on the reputation and the brunch crowd. The food is awful, they have a serious fly problem, and the prices absolutely have not adjusted to reflect the serious degradation in quality and atmosphere. Sticky tables (no more tablecloths I guess), sticky chairs, no air flow or AC. Just awful, awful, awful. Our waiter was nice enough, but it just couldn't make up for a terrible dining experience. It definitely didn't help that there was another party of young boys fighting and screaming while the parents did nothing.

DO NOT BOOK FOR V-DAY UNLESS YOU HATE YOUR PARTNER Valentines Day Disaster. Made reservations for their valentines day special. Walk in, they are having guests pay first, up front, like a jack in the box. classy. We sit, put in our order of app, entrees and dessert. 40 minutes later our entrees show up, the server says 'oh did you never get your appetizer?' so they bring a cheese and meat board five minutes after our entrees arrive. Yikes. Our dessert came wrong. There were four choices and they brought something we didn't ask for. It's a simplified menu, like 5 app choices, 4 entree choices, 4 dessert choices. it should be easier. what are yall doing. Towards the end of the meal i kept overhearing our neighbor complain about the quality of the food and service and we spent 5 minutes commiserating. What happened to this place? We came last year it wasn't bad, we liked it enough to return. Never again. A possom walked through the outdoor dining area, it's in the attached photo. just sayin.

Staff and ambiance are great. The weekly lunch buffet is the equivalent of paying for low grade hospital food without insurance. $70 for two people for overcooked chicken and scrambled eggs. I hear the dinner and weekend brunch menu are significantly better but unfortunately we will not be coming back any time soon.

This used to be a nice place years ago. To say this experience was disappointing is an understatement. The crab leg seafood station smelled and was sketchy looking. No way we were touching it. Scrambled eggs were cold. The sausages tasted old. Most of the food looked inedible. Flies everywhere and we ate indoors. Not bottomless champage mimosas, limit 3. Wife ordered a cocktail and the glass came with lipstick on it. The only nice thing is the decor, which is charming They've got a lot of nerve charging $68 a person, and you have to pay and tip upfront. This wasn't worth $30 a plate. Spend a couple extra $$ and go to Tom Hams for fresh and quality.

Love the ambiance of this place but the food and service has gone downhill. Horrible and over cooked. Ordered drinks and didn't receive until almost done with meal, and drink wasn't worth the wait. This place used to be wonderful and food and service was good. Gone are the good days

This place has truly gone downhill! First; if you eat there on THE FIRST FRIDAY of any month, you have to pay $20 to enter. Yes, you read that correctly! We had reservations to eat at the restaurant. But, because there's also a nightclub, that REQUIRE everyone to pay the $20 cover charge even if you ONLY want to eat there. Second, all drinks are served in "club cups" (plastic cups) on a Friday. What an insult! It cost $90 for two Burgers, one soda, and a side of onion rings...HOWEVER, because it's the "first Friday" of the Month, we don't get real glasses? I paid the same amount of money as the OTHER clientele do when they patron the restaurant on other days of the week. Finally, they required that I give over my credit card until the END of our meal because she said someone ate there before and left without paying. WHAT?! I will NEVER go back. I'm sure that what they're doing is discrimination: Since the visitors of their restaurant on the "first Friday" of every month is of a certain racial background, let's do these things: 1. Charge them $20 to enter, even if they are eating at the restaurant. 2. Only give "those people" plastic cups on "first Fridays." 3. Say that we have to hold a credit card to make sure you don't leave without paying...

I've been coming to this place for about ten years. I even planned my wedding here. Sense, either new owners or covid or whatever excuse that they're gonna use has happened. The service has gone down. The buffet for holidays is now a hundred dollars and they no longer include free champagne. David's scheduled us for eleven o'clock in the morning, even though they didn't open till twelve, so we had to wait around for an hour. We even have a text confirmation stating that they made our reservation for eleven. I don't know what's going on with this place. But the quality of service has gone significantly downhill. The food has gotten worse. Service is now subpar They randomly tell you that the omelet line will be available on the christmas buffet, then when we get there, it's not available. People remembered a vote with your wallet. If a place like this exists, stop going there so they no longer make money and hopefully go out of business or fix their problems. Ninety fourth aero owners.I'm talking to you get yourselfs together and fix this.

This place used to be very good. It has gone way downhill with mediocre food and zero service. Do not go for their very over priced holiday buffet. It is all store bought food. Sliced deli turkey and ham. The desserts included tiny hostess donuts as a choice. Be prepared to pay at the door including tip!! That is a big red flag as they will not refund anything. A sign at the front even states No refunds. Sadly, no more Aero Squadron for me.

I have known this place since I was out 8 or 9 years old. Im 33 now. My grandmother used to bring me here every weekend, whether it be for dinner, lunch, or even live music nights. I walked in with my 10 year old niece, let's just say $70 wasted. At first nice vibes, nice looking food. Was greeted before we even sat down and asked for water. I was impressed..... Then, in the section we are in (RIGHT BY THE FOOD, might I add) was ignored by every employee no matter how many excuse me's i said. I just wanted someone to call the waiter as the water tastes like tap and we wanted something different, then i wanted a glass of champagne but still could get no ones attention. O track down the waiter and ask for a drink menu she comes back a little late, but she's busy and I get that. I wait another 10 minutes, thinking she's going to come back. Nope, so I hunt her down again and go stand by the sign that basically says staff only. She sees me then proceeds to say 1 minute, I stand there for another 10. I sat down frustrated and livid and even more appalled, when they saw I was pissed all of the sudden .ore employees were attention to that area. Well too late 1/2 plate of salad and a cup of salty seafood chowder I lost my appetite. Even my niece didnt want to eat anymore. Waste of $70, dont come for brunch, you will be ignored.

This was the worst experience EVER! My party had been planning this brunch for months, we were so happy, until it came to our service, bottomless mimosas (yeah right) we are all people of color and we were seated way in the back away from everybody, and just forgotten about, had to track down the waitress a few times to get our drinks refilled, then a hair was found in my food! When I asked for the manager to speak with, she came out with an attitude and acted as though I put the hair on the food, stated 'nobody here had white hair excuse me but ALL of the servers were blonde and had long hair! I have curly dark hair! Then proceeded to have a horrible attitude and didn't even want to make it right. DO NOT go here, is not worth your money or time.
