In town for work. Staying nearby. The best tacos I’ve ever had in my entire 40 years on this earth. A religious experience. I ordered through Uber Eats. It was so good I was moved to call the place and praise them on how amazing it was. Tacos de Birria slaps hard.
The food here is excellent. If you like casual mexican food, you gotta try this place. If you love meat, try the Agave Burrito. The addition of ham and bacon make this burrito NEXT LEVEL. The nachos with meat are also huge and great for sharing. The shrimp tacos were also excellent. There's a small simple dining room with only a few small tables, but it's clean. No public restrooms though. The lady behind the counter was super nice. I was visiting San Diego from LA and my hotel was nearby. I'm so glad I found Agave and decided to try it. I stopped by the next day to buy two more Agave burritos to bring back to LA even!
Amazing food. The carne asada burrito is one of the best I've ever had. A group of 10 of us went here and everyone loved their meals. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
Awesome little taqueria. Quick service, hefty portions, reasonable prices, attentive staff.
This place had a rocky start but the food is on point now. I've had the breakfast burrito, nachos, and torta. All were amazing.
This place earned all five stars for its quick service and delicious ingredients. Its tacos come with two shells so you get a bonus taco and an encore of good flavor.
This place is FANTASTIC! This is not your average Mexican food spot in San Diego. This place is above the rest. I’ve eaten here multiple times and every thing I’ve had is delicious. The adobada has incredible flavor. The birria tacos were phenomenal. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. And Adriana is a fantastic human.!

Really great carne asada the only downside was no children's menu or options which made it hard to come up with a substitute without paying for an adult portion for a toddler who eats enough to not be able to share your own plate with.
DELICIOUS tacos, fair price, adorable location, friendly staff. Not JUST a drive thru; has small indoor and small patio dining. Glad Google recommended this place.
Amazing tacos and great services. Really recommend for a delicious, authentic food experience.

Had the Pastor taco and a Birria taco. PASTOR was 👌👍 💪over the Birria taco. Red sauce was 💪👍👌 over the green sauce. 1 regular size taco can be made into two , if you’re making pennies stretch like me. Parking is impossible with my van, so I always buy something from 7-11 and sneak over here to eat. 🤫
They have a drive thru. Rating the potato rolled tacos only: generous sour cream, good green salsa, good amount of toppings! Theyre hard to find now that Bravos shut down! Staff is nice and they refreshed the old building and gave it a face lift and added a nice mural inside (not seeing a public restroom anywhere though). Second visit- tried veggie burrito includes, beans rice lettuce cheese sour cream and guac. HUGE burrito, could be two meals, nice churros too.
Massive burritos and portion sizes!!! BEST churros! Drive-thru. Vegetarian options available but my veggie taquitos had some steak on the side, possibly from a utensil used to serve both. Disappointed by that!
First of all when I first got there they gave me flowers tortillas, rice, and beans all for five dollars and then I went back and got the taco and enchilada combo plate. Also had the carne asada nachos too ., the beans were amazing. The vegetables were nice and fresh I also ordered a Agua Fresca. It was refreshing tasted more like melon than pineapple. The customer service always five star. They’re very helpful and patient. Prices are a little high, but it’s worth it.
Strawberry Agua Fresca 5/5 by itself. Customer services was cool. Food was okay, nothing to rave about. The spicy carrots weren’t spicy at all 🤣, and I’m a sucker for the heat meaning everything makes me sweat and cry lol. Not sure if I’ll be back 👀. But give it a try and form your own opinion.

I came here a half an hour before they closed and their front door was locked and they just gestured for me to come to the drive thru window. I asked for three tacos and a churro & somehow the lady rung me up to 28$ total. I was like something must be wrong, it shouldn’t be that expensive for three tacos. The lady was like this is our three taco plate (without specifying I was getting the large size tacos) only to find out later they gave me three super big tacos which was not what I wanted. I wanted three mini tacos which I’m sure would’ve been half as much, but the lady failed to mention they had two different size options and just charged me for the bigger ones which was annoying as hell. The lady taking my order was clearly upset that I made a comment about how expensive the tacos were when she then said “OK this will be my last order of the night” even though they were still open for another 20+ mins. I came here a couple more times after this and the food is generally really good. The same lady is also pretty nice overall, she just doesn’t seem happy to be working there and is only person I ever seen when I go there.

There online menu is VERY outdated. I paid 15.00 for a burrito yesterday. There online menus says 10 bucks. Burrito was ok, def not as good as Alberto’s though…. I won’t be going back
Great tacos but you GOTTA stop putting scolding hot tortillas and meat on styrofoam plastic plates so many times already I got tacos that burnt into it! Come on bro. I called tried to explain to stop doing that and they don’t understand me. But the food is great it’s a shame

I got the chicken bowl and both the rice and chicken had hard chunks in it that ruined my experience. Everything also tasted off putting.

Huge disappointment. We LOVED the establishment this place used to be: Taco Fiesta. I drove here after work and came to find the building painted and signs up that said grand opening. I opted to still order food there, hoping that it was just the face that had changed and not the menu, and I was very wrong. The bean and cheese burritos had barely any cheese in them, the cheese quesadilla tasted like it was made with shredded Kraft singles, and the chips w/ guacamole were very different and disgusting. The chips were thicker and different, but not in good way, and I’m 1000% sure the guacamole was squeezed out of a pre made package. It tasted like grocery store packaged guacamole. We couldn’t even eat the quesadilla and the chips with guacamole because they were so awful. This place is a corporate owned business trying to disguise itself as a family owned taco shop. Do not eat here if you want even remotely decent Mexican food.
In my whole entirety of living in San Diego and eating at dozens of taco shops, never have I ever seen such a sign or such rule where you only get a certain amount of salsa depending on the item in your order, especially such that even so you will be charged for extra salsa. Astonishingly ridiculous. The prior establishment, Taco Fiesta, had to leave as rent had increased and they could not keep up. Unfortunately, Agave Taco Shop came in and their prices reflect the rent they now have to pay. If you're visiting from out of town, honestly, go to any other taco shop. Literally, no one else charges extra for extra hot sauce lol
