Came here to watch the Padres in the playoffs, such an amazing bar. The bartender and all of the staff was exceptional, drinks were delicious. Highly recommend the old-fashioned, they do it right. The crowd was just really nice and cool. Did not get any food but saw loads of fish and chips come out that looked absolutely delicious. My boyfriend and I decided that this will be our new go to bar anytime we are in town for a Padres game!

The Blarney Stone is great!!! I had Ryan as my bartender, and whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, he makes you feel right at home. This pub is absolutely a standout- highly recommend!

Gabriel, our bartender, was very handsome and attentive. I'm so happy this place was opened on Xmas caz not all folks celebrate the day. Blarney Stone will be open on New Year's and I believe Gabriel will be on duty! I had the Irish fries and my friend ordered from the Thai restaurant which takes orders.from.the bar.

The Blarney Stone hosted our rehearsal dinner this past June and it was the best night! Francis allowed us to use the tent area and added a server for the night to deliver our drinks. It was such an amazing night and all of our guests had the best time. There was also a DJ for the night, which was a nice touch! We usually love having the Irish Band there but everyone was dancing all night long. Thank you for the best memories 🥰🥰🥰

This place is truly epic for the right type of person. Cheap drinks, friendly staff, and a small bar is everything I could have personally hoped for. If you're looking for an unassuming spot to have cheap drinks and great conversations this place is for you. If you're looking to become a "regular" and get to know the staff by a first name basis this place is for you. If you have a deep Irish pride this is the spot for you. (Half and halfs only exist, best not order a black and tan) If you have ever been described as a Karen while being video taped in public, this is not the spot for you. Please don't even "try" this place.

Best spot in the area for a reasonably priced drink in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. I must admit, I’ve never been let down by a local Irish pub, but this one might even be a little extra special ;) Will and Ryan were awesome, as were the patrons. Highly recommend

Look, this place is a dive bar. It's small, it's dark and it's been here for decades. But, as any Clairemont local can attest to, this place is a staple in the community. Myself, my Grandpa came here in the 60s and 70s so it's only right that I see this place as my 'Cheers' bar. I come here because I know the Security and Staff by name and I'm 95% certain to see someone I know, no matter which night it is. If you're looking for a small, quiet bar to grab a drink and have a conversation, I love this place.

Best bar in SD. I'm torn about giving a good review because I don't want the place to lose the family feel it has. It's better than a dive bar, it has a family feel. People don't come here to pick up chicks. They don't come here to show off. They come here to drink and talk. And have a fun with the friends they've made while throwing a couple cold ones back. Truth is they deserve the business, and if it blows up, the owners deserve it. I'll find another place to call home. Until then, it's Blarney Stone Pub.

This place is always a fun and safe place to spend my evenings. Their bouncers are quick to deescalate and kick the troublesome out. Which ensurez that this local bar maintains its positive and nearly historic atmosphere in the heart of Clairmont. One of the best security teams I've seen in action. I applaud them for having to deal with a particularly loud and bitterly obnoxious patron without bringing personal relationships to the envelope.

Fantastic pub with fantastic people : Marine Michael, Damian ,Betsy, Ryan, Will, & the customers are every bit as cool ! I'm a U.S. Navy vet & half Irish , been to " a couple" bars this is one of the best. In San Diego , I say it's # 1 ...on a scale of 1 - 10 I give it a 12 ! 👍🇺🇸☘️

We visited this neighborhood Irish pub on St Patrick's day. This pub is indistinguishable from a local pub in Ireland. Our bartender was Patty and she poured a perfect Guinness and made a great spicy Bloody Mary. Patty and the other staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is no food served here but they welcome food brought in from the restaurants nearby. I will visit this pub again when I am in San Diego!

I think this is the thing that reminds me most of an authentic Irish pub, they’re connection to the past. Clearly, the Blarney Stone has a commitment to providing music, and they have plenty of live & Irish standards I grew up with on their jukebox. The Guinness was good, and the Redbreast better! It’s not about the frills, it’s all in the atmosphere, and the Blarney Stone had it authentically in Irish spades 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

If you’re in the Balbo area off of Genesee shopping center, and that’s where the bar is these people are absolutely a community environment and a great place to have a cocktail or a beer. The prices are absolutely incredibly cheap and the people are loving kind and just generally wonderful.

This place is an AWSOME! Pub, definitely a locals bar, but very welcoming to anyone looking for the perfect pour of Gennus. The bartenders are great, Ryan & Will however Bettsy is a Rockstar!!! Prices are very reasonable & plenty of parking. There's no food wich is odd, but they allow you to bring yr own apparently. The rest rooms are very small but very clean. I don't why the owner of this wonderful place doesn't expanded to accommodate more room for a bigger place, to have more place to sit or a kitchen for hot food, seems like such a waist. How ever they make u feel right at home and treat you like family. You definitely get 5 stars from me.

Pleasant, relaxed Sunday folks conversing with friends and watching sports. Good pour of Guinness Stout here and very good selection of beers on tap for a relatively small bar. I plan to return for the Irish pub atmosphere and comfortable environment -- and to catch live music performances.

If you are looking for a dim lit Irish pub that makes you feel like you are in a real Irish pub in Ireland, this is your place. Small and on the cozy side, there was a musician singing Irish type drinking songs, which s lot of the crowd joined in on. They had all of the expected British and Irish beers, including bodingtons. It felt like the regulars got served faster than our group, but it was still decent considering how full the place was.

Great neighborhood place. Definitely a dive and a great place to get cheap, stiff drinks. The staff will get you what you want but don't expect great service. A fun place to hang out and there's often a band playing Irish music. Good times!

Always friendly door-staff add to the already affable ambiance at the bar. Tuesdays are illuminated by the weekly, longtime jazz band reminescent of a traditional ensemble. The ensuing sounds keep me captivated throughout the set (7-10pm).

This is one of those places that you either love or hate. It is dark and dirty inside but it is the local go-to bar for the neighborhood. We've been several times both on weeknights when the Bar Men have been playing and on random Sat afternoons. We much prefer when the band is playing but it is always a fun time and inexpensive drinks. You can get lost in this place for several hours. Most of the patrons are nice and we have never had a problem with anyone there. Staff is usually on top of it and we enjoy coming here once or twice a month just to grab a drink and hear great Irish music. We don't bring out of towers here but we would bring our neighbors!

Blarney is a nice neighborhood bar with a cozy, vintage-looking, interior. The crowd here is generally nice and there's often live music. The drink selection isn't great, but there are some decent craft beers on tap and the bartender can make simple drinks. Come here to hang with a few friends, grab a drink before going home, or catch live music. They seem okay with bringing in food from outside.

Nice little place that has been around for a long time. I usually order beer and they could have a wider selection. It's not fancy, but it's pretty clean for a hole-in-the-wall and the bartenders are generally friendly.

There are gendered bathrooms, which the men's bathroom was small and maintained. I would come back if a friend wanted to, but it wouldn't be a high choice for me.

I have been here twice. They had live music both times I went which was pretty cool. The bartenders are friendly and all around the atmosphere is something you would expect from a dive bar.

This place used to be my back yard. Everyone was nice and friendly and feels like family to me. The owner was a really nice person but everyone changes. Not his fault though, for the staff and regulars took over. If you own a bar or work in one, that you know what I mean. looking forward to a new venue with new clients. Seems like this one is on its way out.

Great atmosphere + drinks but Daisy ruined the experience. For being her ‘first day’ her attitude was poor she was pretty unfriendly and every interaction felt strained. Not the best experience for visiting for the first time hope management reconsiders who they hire & maybe ill b back
