Cotija's Mex Grill and Seafood

Tried the surf and turf burrito and cheese enchiladas. Both where great. I'm surprised that they have a low review. I've been trying places in the area and it's hard to find a solid Mexican food spot. Great service, great salsa, and great food.

Seriously some of the best chicken enchiladas that I've had. I did substitute the sauce for tomatillo sauce so I don't know how they regularly taste, but they were seriously awesome. I try to make it a point to only review businesses when they do a great job and this place did! I'll definitely be going back for more...after I finish my burrito :p

Delicious food, very nice bar and atmosphere. Great place to watch the game as they also project it on a wall and it's huge! Carne asada fries are BOMB and it's a big portion. Also, they have a wide variety of beer and alcohol. Family friendly too!

Very awesome service and home feeling. There is a bar in the back and music coming from the bar area. The food was really satisfying and we wanted to order more. I have not tried the seafood yet, but it looks amazing. The prices are pretty good considering the business status also.

The food was real good the carne asada burrito had thick pieces of steak very hardy. the rolled tacos held up very chrispy agianst the guacamole. The salsa bar was kinda small but the salsas were very good.

There mexican food is really good. I recommend trying the surf and turf chips delicious. Got a shrimp cocktail it was not big on flavor but still ok.

Service is quick at this Cotijas. Never packed and always enough salsa and chile in their salsa bar. Burritos are monster sized. Leftovers galore. They take cards unlike other Mexican Taco shops in the area.

I really enjoy thr food. They have Taco Tuesday from Monday-Thursday at a $1.29 each. They used to complimentary beans.

Popped in late night for a beer on our way home. Great place, they gave us free chips and salsa and brought us ice cold beer extremely quickly.

Food just isn't that good. I don't know you mess up a pollo asado burrito, but they did. The interior is intriguing, there's a full bar with karoake, a huge wall screen for TV, and a "snack bar". I might come back for the snack bar.

Dirtiest Cotijas in SD. DONT go to their restroom before eating! $8 for 2 tacos!? Tacos were good. Food is decent just get it to go.

We had the 4 tacos special and a beer for $8.00. It's just okay, the meat does not have a lot of flavor but it's decent. The tacos are pollo asado, carne asada, cabeza, fish and carnitas. In my opinion, the cabeza was good. Good service, though.

Seriously overpriced for so so food. Tortillas are fresh maybe 50% of the time. I used to go all the time and the food has declined and the prices have gone way up. Also if you order something without an ingredient. CHECK IT they always get it wrong.

Do not order through their website. I was told they just do door dash and Uber eats. My card was charged and they were not interested in helping me or any apology.

i didnt really like it the burrito was dry as heck the cook barely put any sour cream and wasnt even cheesy i got a steak and bacon breakfast burrito and the jamaica is generic not good at all never going back

Worst place EVER!!!! We had to get up to get our plate of food which they left in the front where you pay. One of the female workers was literally dancing on the table meanwhile men were feeling on her. It was disgusting we didn’t want to touch our food anymore. I regret even taking one bite of it. I don’t recommend at all!! Customer service was not good.

My breakfast burrito was 90 ° French fries and hardly any egg. It included a "sharp" bone for picking your teeth or stabbing your neighbor. Never going back. 8/1/2022 take-out visit.

Cashier was on her phone wile taking order, and kept telling me to hold on . Btw she wasn't taking another order over the phone it was a personal call . she then gets my order wrong , and not only that but the food tasted NASTY . This is the 2nd time and their food SUCKS . AND IT REALLY SUCKS Because it's the only taco shop walking range 😔 I don't recommend this taco shop to ANYONE . I should have just walked a little more to sub way or McDonald's because this was a total waist of money .

Rolled tacos not fully cooked barly any meat ordered with sourcream no sour cream came on them. To top it off my shrimp ceviche tostada was completely gray. When questioned if the shrimp was cooked and why isnt it pink she simply stated its not ready. So why serve it if its not ready. She later asked if i wanted it to go.No thank you.Defintaly wont be comming back..

Ordered online through their website. Got there and the person working had no idea what I was talking about. Told me to call and get a refund through the website. Left without food.

I’ve been there 6 time and 3 time they have gotten my food wrong! I ordered carina Asada fries with just meat fries and guacamole they confirm with me twice and still F up my food I’m done.

WORST CARNE ASADA FRIES I'VE EVER HAD They serve seafood as well, the carne asada fries do not have anything with seafood, but sure did taste like it-its like they cook everything in the same pan or something, won't be returning anytime soon, nor at all

This place is awful. The food is bland and the restaurant looks like trash inside and out, literally. There is always trash on the sidewalk outside of the restaurant. There are cigarette butts everywhere from I'm guessing employees, and graffiti on the walls. Owners/management do not care at all about the community and surrounding neighborhoods. Pictures are of another restaurant. This place doesn't have good food and is an eye soar. Less than 4 stars overall for a reason.

I mean there was feces still in the toilet and on the toilet seat. No disposable toilet seat covers and no paper towels. After seeing the restroom I was uneasy eating their food. When the food was served, it had no flavor. Everything was so bland. The one star is for the kind waitress and that’s about it.

So today was my first day here. I was undecided on what i wanted to get so i asked the cashier what she recommend me and she said the 7mares soup so i gave it a try. That thing had 1 shrimp only and the soup was sweet also the fish had a sponge texture. It was NASTY worst place I've been too. I do not recommend this place. Plus its pricey for what you get. 😷👎🏻

She was super grumpy when she asked for the payment and she asked me what my order was and I told her oh shrimp burrito and carne asada chips.. and she said I thought you wanted fries, with a smirk on her face. And then I said oh yes sorry with a smile, and she slammed the window as she took my payment. Customer service needs to be corrected her. The food wasn’t all that great either!

Well I went in to grab a quick bit due to convenience. I am on a Ketogenic regime and ordered Menudo. I asked for extra cabbage instead of corn/flour tortillas. I got my soup and no cabbage, no salsa, no oregano, no hot sauce, and no napkins. So I had to ask a few separate times for the cabbage, the oregano, and had to get up and get some napkins and Tapatio hot sauce. The food was good but the service can definitely improve. The waitress was really nice though. The service just needs some improvement. Thanks for the delicious meal though.
