One of the best Indian food I have had in California so far. We went for a lunch and it was less crowded. Service was good. Food was very delicious. I recommend this place for a good Indian food. Masala chai after the food was very relaxing.:) This is the place where I would like eat food when I am around Carlsbad.
What an outstanding experience we had at Curry & More. I went here with a group of friends, and going to a place that has a good vibe yet serves delicious food was important to us. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a very classy vibe which was a positive thing to begin with. We ordered a couple of dishes from our server’s recommendation and few other from the dinner menu. We ordered murg makhani (aka butter chicken), lamb roganjosh, chicken tikka, lamb biryani and shrimp kali mirch (black pepper shrimp curry) with hot and freshly made naan bread. The food left us licking our fingers, it was flavorful, not too spicy, freshly made, you could taste that it’s not from a buffet and the curry wasn’t old like I have experienced in other Indian restaurants. We have added this place to one of our favorite places to dine in, in San Diego. We will be back for more very soon.
The most wonderful food and customer service! Loved everything and wish we lived here to enjoy it more often.
Food is delicious with many vegetarian options. Service was fabulous and fast for lunch. The veg biryani was delicious and the chai tea was perfect on a cold rainy day. Someone was discussing work on the other side of the partition with a loud voice - the only downside but we left before he got into his meeting. I still recommend!
Very affordable and delicious! Wait staff was very helpful. Definitely will be back!
Service is awesome here. We place orders at Rancho Bernardo location almost every week. Even when I forgot to ask to remove nuts from the sauce, staff was so nice to replace the dish with no extra charge. Highly recommended!
My family and I enjoy coming here! They have a generous lunch special and their sauce is creamy.
I don't care to write reviews much however this place is an exception. We went down to the San Diego Safari. We missed home food after a few days of travel. We googled and found this Indian Bristo. I was very impressed with the quality of food and the overall ambience. Kali mirch chicken was heavenly. Naans were great too. Kudos to the chefs...Highly Recommended.
It was a delivery service not on site, atmosphere doesn’t apply in this case.
January 2023. Familiar with their location in San Marcos, but had not visited this location before now. As wonderful food and friendly staff as San Marcos. Sauces are sublimely savory. Such delicious food! Something for everyone - especially my gluten free vegetarian wife. Curry & More seems to be a guaranteed hit no matter which location. Others? I hope soon in Temecula.
I don’t know what some of these bad reviews are talking about. We stopped here after visiting the Safari park and I got to say that the food here is AMAZING. And this is coming from someone who has grown up in Delhi and knows what good authentic Indian food should taste like. We are visiting the city from Texas but I don’t think I enjoyed Indian food anywhere in Texas as much. I feel bad when people sometimes rate excellent restaurants as bad. We are going to try to make it here one more time before we leave the city.
We have come to the Rancho Bernardo location for over 5 years and enjoyed their food. Today we went by to have lunch at around 11:15. The door had a closed signed with paper clock saying they will open 4pm. Google says they open at 11. A bit confusing, so I entered the restaurant and asked one of the employees if they were open. He said Saturday and Sunday they open at 12pm. We told him that Google shows they open 11am everyday. He said he knows about but kept on sweeping without giving us eye contact. He basically didn't care. Hmm, restaurant business is a tough business. I guess they have plenty of customers...we will think twice about driving 20 minutes to eat there.
Excellent Indian cuisine, some of the best you will find in San Diego. Friendly staff. Wine and beer list, indoor and outdoor seating.
Just had a great lunch with my wife and mother-in-law. My mushroom jalfrezi, a vegan dish with mushrooms, ginger and onions, dish, was delicious, served with rice, sambar, and garlic naan. My wife enjoyed her shrimp biriyani, but thinks, in general, that the sauces here would benefit from more onions. We will definitely be back soon!
Absolutely delicious! Love the food and excellent service. Had the Lamb Korma and is was the best I’ve had! This place is a must!
Basic restaurant. Food is Great. Fresh ingredients. Try their lamb Biryani. They have the best Biryani in San Diego Area. Very well priced.
This is one of my favorite eating places in town. I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks and the food is always awesome. Last night I had tandoori chicken with a spice range of 5 out of 10. I played it safe but it was really nice and spicy. The rice and the naan bread were awesome as well. I followed that up with a lemongrass soup that was fantastic. I'll be sure to give them another visit very soon. The ambiance was fantastic as well as the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and got my order right the first time. The next time I go I will plan to eat there as I've been taking everything home the last two visits. Great job and I give them a RAVE review....
The food was excellent and so was the service and the employees. I highly recommend this place if you like delicious Indian food! I had the coconut curry chicken and it was bomb!! Everything tasted fresh and they have really clean restrooms. The only issue maybe parking, but other than that, give it a try!
Excellent restaurant. Best Indian food we have had in Dan Diego. The food was extremely flavourful. Staff were professional and had a thorough knowledge of the menu. The restaurant itself was immaculate and the ambience was great .
The service and the food were top notch. Impressive that they beat bobby flay on some tv show. Tandoori dishes had a hint of smoke but not burned. Show casing the chefs skill and knowledge in preparation.
Excellent food and service. You can choose the heat you like, I did a 1 just because I am not a fan of anything really hot, next time I will try 2 and pretty sure it will be ok for me. I enjoyed Curry & More very much.
Went there for lunch. Ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh and Tandoori chicken lunch specials. They were good and pretty authentic. The salad and lentils soup were a nice addition. Generous portion of naan. Will definitely go back again.
We came for the first time on Friday. The food is really good and tastes amazing. The service is really great. Our group ordered multiple items and all were delishes.

Amazing food and service! The chicken korma and garlic naan are incredible, the staff is super friendly, and the food always tastes fresh and comes out fast. Highly recommend!
This is my go-to Indian restaurant and one I recommend without hesitation!!! The flavors are incredible—authentic, balanced, and consistently spot-on every single time. The service is always friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean, and everything tastes fresh (because it is).And let’s talk about the garlic naan… truly the best. Warm, fluffy, perfectly garlicky—dangerously easy to order extra 😄 They also offer many vegetarian options, all full of flavor and never an afterthought. Consistent, delicious, and clearly made with care—this place never disappoints and is always my go-to when I’m craving Indian food.
This was our first visit for a quick lunch. Pleasantly surprised by the ambience and the music. No loud indian music rather peaceful. Any curry comes with naan, rice and salad so in a way one dish for each person. Food was delicious and served quickly. In starter, bhel puri chaat was fresh and quite tasty.
It was much better than I expected from an Indian restaurant in a strip mall. Chicken was tender, flavorful and portions were big! Garlic naan was perfect.

The food is amazing! Every time we come we have the best meal. When the owner is here the service is amazing. When he’s not the employees tell you at the door that they are closing when you are coming in mins before 7 pm and the website says they close at 8:30 pm on Sundays. They told a family coming in at 7:05 pm they were closed so they left. According to the person who greeted us they close at 8 pm. Not sure if maybe they should change the hours on Google. I would definitely recommend if you get here early enough to not feel that they are rejecting your order. You can’t order more Naan 30 mins before closing as the kitchen closes. That’s what they should say at the door. Kitchen closes at 7:30 pm and let the client decide if they want to stay rather than saying we are closed. The party sitting next to us said they love going to the San Marcos location as the service is superb. They said the something similar as we thought “Great food, lousy service”. Other than that the service is good. We will definitely come back hopefully earlier.
I visited several times for lunch. I think the curry is perfect and delicious. Also surprising is the jasmine rice, which is not sticky at all. It was soft and fluffy. The customer service was friendly and helpful.
a good Indian restaurant with custom build food order. server was very accommodating to alter food according to taste. saag panner and kebab plater was Good. all dishes comes with a choice of rice, Naan and daal or aloo masala.

If you like the taste of Indian food, this is well.prepared. The waitress was very pleasant but the man taking the check was surly. I felt hostility. I will not go back.
We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Mixed Tandoori platter, Goan Shrimp Curry, Coconut Chicken Curry. Each came with 2 sides, basmati rice, daal, naan and spring salad. Service was excellent. Decor was very nice. Food was good.
Ambiances is good. We tried lassi and lemon grass soup, both were delicious and set high expectations for main course. For main course we tried kadai paneer which mostly have no curry filled with lots of onions, capsicums and paneer which was hard to eat with naan, sooooo dry to eat. Other one we tried fish curry, the curry had fried fish added in it and we didn't like it. All curry we ordered with naan which was good and they gave Rita with the every curry. Quantity is little less, can say limited to a person.

To go orders are typically poor, I am a regular customer here and when I dine-in it is great but to go order are very poor. I ordered yesterday channa Masala it was covered with top layer full off oil. Avoid any to go orders
Below average chai and Biriyani. Spinach pakoras were decent. Not worth the price and authenticity .
I usually like trying new items on the menu, went with the Chicken Murg Masala. I purposely stayed away from the Lamb options because I dislike the taste of lamb (I've tried several variants from a five start hotel in Dallas, Birria tacos, and a burger blend with beef and bison). So, I absolutely wanted a chicken dish. It tasted like lamb curry, and it had no description of lamb at all. I did enjoy the sides that came with my curry. But overall I had to toss the majority of the curry because I couldn't stand the flavor.
This restaurant has serious ethical issues in the kitchen. I ordered a dish with mushrooms and the mushrooms were rotten with significant black spots and little holes. It was gross and because it was a take out order I was unable to return it and address the issue with the restaurant directly. Once I realized how rotten the mushrooms were I threw the rest away. I couldn’t tell right away that the mushrooms were black because of the sauce concealing how bad they were. I rinsed one of the mushrooms to see how bad they were and the pictures tell you everything you need to know. The worse part is the fact that the cook put rotten vegetables in a dark sauce and there were a lot of mushrooms in that dish. If they put rotten ingredients in a dish, I can’t imagine what other issues they have in that kitchen, including meat products.
