It's Denny's. Good simple, American fare done well. If you want to pay $40 - $50 for cream cheese stuffed brioche French toast with rosemary potatoes and a mimosa, this isn't the place for you. You want simple american fare, omelets, pancakes, etc at a reasonable price, you fou the right spot. Staff wasn't bubbly and friendly, but they weren't rude either, just busy and straight to the point. Both the service and time from ordering to the foods arrival was quick. Food was tasty and prepared well. A great place for a reasonably priced,good breakfast with the family

The food and service are right there, where they have always been. Friendly and kind of good. The prices however, have lost their minds. The coffee mugs have suffered from shrink-flation, and now hold about a shot glass worth of coffee. These tiny doll house coffees also cost $4.39+tax. A burger and fries was $20. To be fair, the burger was prepared well and the fries were hot, but they were also not very busy. Denny's used to represent the old America, greasy spoon diners, and all the biscuits and gravy nostalgia we love. Now, I'm afraid that it's gone the way of the Disney dinosaur, which offers pleasant memories, for exorbitant prices. I guess if you have money to burn, then stop by for a slice of mediocrity. Personally, I would rather find a local place, that has good food, for reasonable prices, which is what Denny's pretends to be.

It was a slow night but the Denny's was understaffed. It took a very long time for the waitress to take our order. I was hungry and I started eating the jelly. Also our drinks were never refilled. It seemed like the waitress just wasn't rizing to the challenge expected of food service in the US.

Johnathan was our server tonight, came in and was seated right away, took our drink orders and kept checking in on us every couple minutes for our order. He was really great with refills, quick table service with a smile and very friendly and welcoming. We started with the cinnamon sugar puppies, which are great...only had a couple each -very filling! I had the boneless fried chicken with gravy, potatoes, and broccoli which also came with a garlic bread -everything was crisp, fresh, well seasoned and tasty. Hubby had the fried chicken salad with Italian dressing, also very fresh, chicken was juicy and crispy, salad was well washed, tomatoes firm (a bit tart), and plenty of it! The place in general was very well maintained, clean, neat, and ready for guests!

After dining at many Denny’s restaurants all over the country none could ever be scored over a three star regardless of one experience. The average is about a three or below. this location basically set the standard at three. The food was OK. The biscuits and gravy wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, the food came out a little slow the waitress was salty but again it’s Denny’s. What do you expect?

Wednesday December 18th I'm exhausted from flying across the country from Florida to California, so I wanted to go get breakfast someplace close to the hotel that I'm staying at. I always loved Dennys so that's where I decided to go for breakfast this morning. It was 7 minutes from my hotel. I was lucky to have a fantastic waitress. I built my own Grand Slam featuring two eggs over medium two slices of turkey bacon two slices of toast and hash browns. Something I've had many, many times, and many, many Denny's across the United States. When the food was brought out to me it was lukewarm at best. The waitress came over and noticed I wasn't eating. She asked me what was wrong. I told her that the eggs and the hash browns were lukewarm at best. They were not even close to being enjoyable temperature. She offered to have the meal recooked, which was what I would normally have done under most circumstances. I asked her if it would be possible to microwave my food for 90 seconds to a couple of minutes. She asked if I was sure. I thought that would be fine, I'm okay with that. She zapped my breakfast in the microwave for a couple minutes. Once it was hot enough, I was able to enjoy the breakfast. That extra couple minutes in the microwave was perfect. The eggs tasted amazing, the turkey bacon was great, hash browns were perfect. I'm really not going to talk about Denny's coffee. The coffee is always great to me I will likely give this restaurant another chance at Breakfast before I leave to go back to Florida

They Actually forgot about us for 4 hours. Part of our food wasn't even brought out until after the 4 hours. Their excuse was that they had a table of 17 so they had to wait on those people first. The restaurant was almost dead and I did not see a tabletop of 17. I did overhear a waitress bitching about how they took her off the floor she was in trouble for something. Jack she seemed like a good waitress and a nice person probably just a personal beer. Nonetheless the whole experience sucked! Nothing like cold food being forgotten about....... I will never go back to that Denny's!

12/25/25 It was busy, obviously, its Christmas. I expected a longer wait time and a decent wait for food. We were upfront with our order. Two oreo shakes, one with strawberry in it. A water, a sprite, a 4 count of donut holes to share. I ordered the cali club, my girlfriend ordered the spaghetti. It took 20 minutes just to get the milkshakes. Our cups were empty, and they gave us the wrong milkshakes. The server, I believe her name was Maggie, then argued with us about the milkshakes we ordered, as if I hadn't just rehearsed my order 20 times before she even asked what drinks we wanted. Then after she finally agreed to fix her mistake, she brings the donut holes out first and it was the 10 count. At this point, its blatantly obvious that she wasn't paying attention. This was the third strike, because im not paying extra for what I didnt order. My water was never refilled, we got the wrong shakes, and she couldn't even give us the amount of holes we wanted, all the while giving us a horrible attitude. I left immediately. Im not going to throw my money somewhere that its not appreciated, ihop treated us much better after this experience.

Terrible customer service.. since the moment we arrived, table was dirty, waiter left.. leaving us unattended food was cold I had to get up in order to get ketchup, spoon for the coffee, coffee refills, straw, napkins… nobody cared about us.. no apology from management.. it’s not our fault employees and management are tired and frustrated! It’s your job! I feel discriminated all employees knew we were left unattended and still didn’t care..

Called and spoke to the manager it was $18.39 for a french slam per person plus they charged $3.69 per person for hash browns. Almost $70 for 2 people for breakfast at Dennys is highway robbery. Imagine you were a family or 6 or 8 how much the bill would be. Won't be rushing back anytime soon. Manager refused to take off the hashbrown charge. Be careful from the menu it looks like its included in the price of the breakfast. Denny's is a ripoff, no longer good value for money, lots of better breskfast choices elsewhere in mission valley.

Thr food is usually good here,the service is usually slow. Thursday was bad. The place was not busy around 6pm but we waited for almost 30 minutes to get our order taken. A couple at a table next to us just got up and left after about 30 minutes with no drinks or attention and I doubt anyone noticed. I asked for the brisket Mac and cheese and the menu said it was burnt ends but the entire brisket was burnt and dry. When I mentioned it to the waiter he just said, we'll I'm not the cook.

I ordered food from The Meltdown on Uber eats for pick up. On the app the sandwiches i ordered, The giddy melt and hot mess melt, looked very good. Lol i get home with the food and open the tray and its super disappointing. The meat on the giddy up melt is supposed to be slow smoked braised and have bbq sauce.. the meat was tough, cut in chunks and totally not edible.. the other sandwich lacked flavor, cold and was dry as all get out. For $40+, this is not a place id recommend. And it comes out of Dennys.. the food DOES NOT COME AS ADVERTISED. Waste of money.

seven dollars for a shake that wasn't even close to the advertised size of 16 ounces. The early morning staff was rude and dismissive and when asked about the price and size they said prices have gone up and sizes have gone down and that all Denny's locations changed to a 10 oz size (which I find very hard to believe). I still have not received my refund which the manager said would hit after 24 hours and now it's been close to a week and I'm still waiting The food here is consistently terrible and customer service is an after thought. Do not go to this location,. It's definitely not worth it. Bad food and bad service.

Sat down hoping to have a late breakfast early lunch. It was not super busy just normal for a Saturday around 11. Waited over 40 mins for our food that came out horrible and not complete. Pancakes we dry and over cooked. Food was brought out at different times. Server didn’t come and check on us and when we brought it to her attention she responded with attitude. I would not recommend this location at all.
