Perfect day in San Diego, but they can't control the weather. Atmosphere inside is elegant with live band, friendly staff, great food. Great hang out spot a step above a bar (several steps). View of the docked yachts. Ability to go outside to chat. Would definitely come again. Yellowtail tacos were amazing. Salad with salmon fantastic.
Tried Humphrey's out to see Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy with our son. Very cool place with plenty of drink and movie-type eats to be had with super helpful staff. If you had an adjoining boat slip (or knew someone who did), even better as those folks were having a great time. Next time we will try to get an overlooking hotel room. Now that would be sweet. Only negative would be the 19" plastic folding chairs zip-tied together. Adults just don't fit comfortably in that type of chair. But Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy was great and they rocked the house. Would definitely come back.
My fiancée and I decided to grab brunch at Humphreys with my parents to celebrate our recent engagement. When you first walk in you are taken aback by the atmosphere. The seating is impressive in looks and there’s a beautiful window granting views of the harbor. We were fortunate it wasn’t crowded so we chose next to the glass and loved having a view of the docks while we ate. We saw many a fish and even a family of ducks with babies in tow! Now comes the food. Color me surprised but I enjoyed my burrito. I chose the chorizo burrito because nothing else was jumping out at me and I loved it. I normally don’t enjoy wet burritos and I actually didn’t realize this burrito is wet but it was great! My fiancee wasn’t thrilled with her steak and eggs and I will agree that the steak was rather bland. Be sure to give the menu a look over before you go but Humphreys is a great brunch spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of busier areas while still enjoying relaxing views and some good food.
I had a really great experience here! I came for San Diego restaurant week and made reservations online, I did leave a note on the reso, to have seating by the window as my sister was visiting! The host took into consideration the note and had a seat ready! We had an early dinner but sometimes taking the extra step to look into reso notes is over looked! Our waiter was Joanne! She was a gem and explained every item as needed! Overall amazing experience, I enjoyed the seafood ceviche with the short ribs duo! &The vanilla brulee was delish!
Had a wonderful birthday brunch here the short rib hash is to die for the spicy pickle bloody mary really good as well we had Mimosas too...Mira was our server she was fantastic as a matter of fact everyone was!I will definitely recommend this place to all I know the view alone us worth it.. and oh yeah the cheesecake Awesome😋
Humphrey's is a fashionable, fine dining restaurant in a very good area along San Diego Bay. The restaurant appears well-appointed, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the menu is diverse and full of fresh seafood choices. We enjoyed both appetizers and main courses -- ranging from lobster risotto and pork chops to crab cakes and a beautiful scallop appetizer. We enjoyed our time here and plan to return.
We are here at Humphreys restaurant getting something to eat before we attend a ZZ Top concert at Humphreys by the Bay! The restaurant is very nice and has a great View on the bay! Has great atmosphere and the service was very good and the decorations are very good as well! This is our first time to this particular restaurant and we were impressed! The food is decently priced and delicious! There is plenty of free parking across the street! We will be back sometime in the future! :-)
What a great overall experience. A first time taking in dinner & a show at the Famous Humphrey's. Drinks in the lounge before dinner - perfect! For dinner, my wife had the lobster, & I had the steak - perfect! Then on to see 'Home Free' a short 30 second walk - perfect! Our seat were fantastic! The setting was awesome! I can't imagine a better evening!
Booked for a birthday celebration. Just the 2 of us, from the U.K. The receptionist was very personable and greeted us by name and wished me a Happy Birthday. Seated in the window with a beautiful sunset view over the marina. Very attentive waiting staff and our waitress could not have been better. Smiling, polite, knowledgeable and charming - a credit to your hotel. Our food was excellent. The starters (mushroom soup and Shrimp Cocktail) were perfect. Our entrees exceeded expectation. My wife had the Filet Mignon, which was cooked perfectly to her liking. I had the Seafood cioppino which was delicious. We declined desserts as we simply could not fit them in. As we walked out to the parking lot we were treated to a space rocket launch from nearby Vandenberg. A perfect end to a perfect evening.
I have to give the most kudos to the servers - Carlos, Jake, and Miguel. They are the kindest servers and so attentive. I stayed here 4 days and had breakfast everyday here and dinner/lunch 4 days. The truffle fries are amazing. Unfortunately I waited till the last day to enjoy the diver scallops. I wish I had them on day 1 because I would not have gone anywhere else for dinner. Service is so important to me and these 3 gentlemen really went above and beyond each encounter.
4.5⭐️ This restaurant was awesome. Our server was amazing, and our food was even better. I got shrimp .... pasta. I don't remember exactly what I got and I forgot to write it down. My husband got a steak that he said was cooked perfectly. He also got a holiday drink that was alcohol free, he said that was very good as well. The views are awesome at night, I couldn't take a picture because of the glare on the glass windows. It felt very upscale, and we just wanted a normal dinner lol. Then we went to the lounge to listen to some jazz for a bit before going back to the room. Highly recommend!
The food was amazing! I had the scallops, my husband the short ribs. Our server was amenable to substitute vegetables for the starchy carbohydrates. We came in without a reservation and were seated at a table with a spectacular view. Our friends arrived at the restaurant later in the evening after our suggestion to dine at Humphrey's and they were able to accommodate their party of 10 without reservations. They were ecstatic we had made the recommendation. We'll certainly return the next time we are in San Diego.
We enjoyed our breakfast. Eggs Benedict, Steak & Eggs and Açaí Bowl were all tasty and perfectly prepared! Service was excellent. And atmosphere was beautiful with a great view of the boats.
I was impressed with the caliber of service, from beginning to end. The staff was very friendly and professional. The restaurant had a classy and elegant ambiance, yet very comfortable and not "stuffy". When making reservations, which I recommend, request a window view if you like looking out at the boats and Marina. Very nice! The food was delicious. They have a diverse menu from scallops, steaks, to a gourmet burger. You can't go wrong with their steak. It melts in your mouth it's so tender! Pair your meal with a nice glass of wine or a Iced tea, then comlete your meal with a nice dessert, you can't go wrong here! Their chairs are so comfortable you feel like your dining in your living room! It's hard to leave! They do have dancing next door on certain weekend's, if you're so inclined and want to work off your meal, or simply enjoy the music. There's no cover charge for dining customers. I highly recommend Humphreys for a special place to dine in San Diego.
Tiffany was fantastic as our server. The steak in my lunch was AWESOME, tender, delicious flavor, almost zero fat. The French fries were delicious, the side salad with balsamic dressing was divine. Great views from our windows.
Wow. Went with a group of 9 had a great time. The food was really delicious ,portions were generous. Most of us had steaks, appetizers and desserts and it was excellent. Same group has gone to Morton's for steaks and these were same if not better. Definitely recommend.
Was here for Valentine's weekend and had an incredible stay. The pool and hot tub are great! The breakfast restaurant is delicious! The rooms are a little less luxurious than you may imagine them to be. We weren't there for a live concert, but I can imagine that is an incredible experience too. Loved being on Shelter Island. Great views of the city and bay.
Beautiful restaurant with beautiful views! I'm simple, I ordered a burger, which was delicious! My friends enjoyed their meals & our dessert was lovely too. The service was one of the best I've experienced. I didn't get our server's name, but I want to thank her for my bday dessert!
What a BLAST!!! My husband and I were visiting from out of town and this place happened to be right next door to our hotel (we heard the soul/jazz music from the hot tub and had to go check out what was happening next door). We ate a great dinner and I had the most fun watching the live band on Saturday and dancing!
Went last night for our 10th anniversary. Opened the place at 5:30 on a Friday night. No other tables until 6ish. Beautiful, elegant, tastefully furnished: great mood-setting environment. (Even the tableware, bar ware, silverware was on-point) Jake was our server. Did a perfect job. He was aided by a very attentive busser. Had a visit from the manager once as well. Perfect amount of interaction: not overbearing / not missing in action. Salads great, wife had halibut - a 30 year Humphrey’s classic, I had the Dynamite shrimp - a newer addition. Both fantastic. Great roasted asparagus. Crème Brûlée for dessert, (good but not great) Server even went to the trouble of personalizing our dessert. Will try the carrot cake next time. Also has a musical venue. We didn’t go, but could hear the band playing. Pics of the major stars who have played there. Some BIG names! BB King, Ray Charles, ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, Aretha Franklin, Billy Idol, Ringo Starr. Way cool. Great place for a special event, special meal.
Breakfast (dine in) - Tasty with generous portions. I had the spiced french toast with a side of scrambled eggs, which I quite enjoyed. Wonderful wait staff and excellent atmosphere, with a serene view of one of the many marinas. A bit pricey but that would not deter me from eating here again.
We were a large group of 34 on a fixed menu but the restaurant was able to accommodate changes for me due to allergies. They did this without hesitation or extra charges to me, much appreciated! My partner said dessert was great, cheesecake. And her meal was excellent as well.
Stopped in en route to airport and friends suggested stopping. It was a great idea, enjoyed the visit. Had a blues band and it filled up with locals that were very interesting to watch dance! Food and drinks were fabulous! There's a $5 admission charge, I feel that should be waived if you spend a certain amount. Visit here if you can!
Food and cocktails were great. The venue is beautiful with huge windows overlooking the docks and up into the point Loma hills. Old school elegance with big white overstuffed chairs to dine on. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked.
Had a lovely dinner here last night. Michael was our server and he was very attentive and helpful with the menu. The crab cakes were perfect and I had the tenderloin which melted in my mouth. Highly recommend getting the crème brulee for dessert. You won’t regret it! We are going to try breakfast here as well!
Our concert, dinner and room package was truly amazing. The concert menu was incredible as well as delicious. We had an amazing time. We are repeating the experience this Sunday with the Il Divo concert. Can’t wait!!!
My first experience with Humphreys was in April 2024 to celebrate my husband's birthday in San Diego. My Brother suggested that we check out Humphreys, they were there in January to hear Saxophonist Mastero Keith perform in the Lounge. We were blown away as to how delicious the food tasted. We both had the Mustard Glazed Shorts Ribs and the Service was impressive. Now one month later we are here in San Diego to celebrate my Birthday and will be going to Humphreys tonight for some great food and good music. Happy Memorial Day Weekend
Outstanding meal. We were staying at the adjacent hotel (also nice). Went to the restaurant with no expectations of high quality given it was attached to the hotel (I also wasnt dressed as nice as I probably should have been because I was assuming a different type of restaurant). The food, service and ambiance was great! At the table we had an excellent Caesar salad, poached pear, macadamia crusted halibut, wild mushroom pasta and creme Brule, all were excellent. This restaurant is a destination itself.
Owen our waiter so gracious and professional with our large group on Christmas night. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful Christmas night and memory to have.
I recently dined with friends at Humphry's and had the pleasure of being served by Jolene, who provided exceptional service. Her friendly demeanor, attentiveness, and menu knowledge greatly enhanced our dining experience. We look forward to returning for another enjoyable meal accompanied by top-notch customer service.
We came here for lunch with a friend. It was perfect. Overlooking the marina with a great view. The service was great. The decor is lovely and the seating is very comfortable. And not at all noisy, so it was nice to carry on a conversation. And - the food was DELICIOUS! I had the macadamia crusted halibut. It was wonderful. I can't wait to go back.
Buena comida Bonito lugar para cualquier ocasion
Ahi poke..awesome
Bonita vistas
Whenever my wife and I stay in Humphreys, we often have breakfast in this restaurant, and the experience here has always been amazing. Besides the delicious food, all the servers, including Mirna, Heidy and Mona, offered excellent services and made sure we were well taken care of. Whenever something is wrong, they would take take initiative to fix it, even without me bringing it up. My wife and I really enjoyed this establishment, and we will certainly be back if we ever stay in Humphreys again!
Good food as far as hotel food goes. But it's still hotel food. The service here is really good and staff are friendly. This place gets an extra Star for the setting, being right over the water in the marina. Morning coffee at a window seat here is very pleasant. You can watch the cormorants fish right beneath you.
We got reservation for our group (9 adults, 6 children). The place is beautiful and we had the view of the marina. Our server was fantastic and did the best she could as it seems that the restaurant is short staffed. The drinks came out in decent time. However, our foods came out about an hour after we placed the order. Good foods, good service, and the kitchen could be quicker with getting the orders out.
It has been at least six years since I visited Humphreys. I understand that during the pandemic, a lot of businesses suffered. This was my wife's first time, she enjoyed everything! However, I was bragging about their buffet style brunch. To my surprise, it no longer exists. The food was "mid" as my children say, but it didn't live up to what I remembered. Hopefully, they decide to bring the buffet style brunch back for more than the holidays. I'm a stickler for bathrooms in public places. Their bathroom receives an A+++. Thank you! The view was great! Although, my request via the reservation site was not honored, we were able to get a glimpse of the marina. Our waiter was very attentive. I'm surprised there weren't more guests. Do the live bands play on Sundays during brunch, still? I can't say that I'm dying to dine there anytime soon. They used to offer a vast variety of menu items. I did not see a dessert menu either. 😕
Normally I'd rate a restaurant like this at a 3 out of 5, because it's not anything special, just your normal expensive mediocre hotel fare. But after a good 12 meals here (I was staying for business), I never had many complaints. It's a very quiet atmosphere, in sharp contrast to the loud music next door. I'd say this is both a positive and a negative, as it makes it easy to grab a drink after, but it does ruin the serenity a bit.
We had a nice holiday season lunch. The staff was friendly and fun! The pick 4 tacos was tasty and filling. Glad I tried the lobster bisque, it was warm and delicious. Hope to come back soon.
My boyfriend took me here to celebrate our anniversary. The food was really good and the view was nice. The only cons were that a waiter took away my boyfriend's plate before he finished eating it even after telling the waiter he needs more time on it and after the waiter repeated what he said so unsure of what the miscommunication could have been there. After we left, my boyfriend told me he was upset (but didn't want to complain or cause a big fuzz) because of what happened with his plate and because he had put special instructions for the reservation and mentioned our anniversary. I don't know what he put in the special instructions but he noted that the table behind ours was celebrating a birthday and had their desserts comped (even with one of the women being a bit of a karen) while there was nothing comped or done for our table. Usually we stick around and have a few more drinks but this time didn't really feel like it. Of course we still tipped afterwards but not as much as we usually would have because my boyfriend wasn't very happy. We do plan on going back someday and eating there again as the food was good but it might be a while. The cons lost the review a star. Would give 3.5 if it was possible. It would have been 5 if the experience had been better as the great food was its only saving grace.
Nice view of the boats on the water. Waitress was very friendly and knew the brunch menu well. My wife's coffee drink was not really what she thought it would be with mint and chocolate, no mint flavor and the drink was very bitter to her. Waitress took it back and let her replace it with a caramel flavored coffee. We were pleased with the food we chose, the one downside was the poached eggs were overcooked. We hope to go again when family is in town.
Overall, the place is great. Great views and venue. The food and service is usually very good, but is inconsistent. For instance, half the time, the hollandaise sauce is broken or flavorless. It seems to be an issue on Saturdays... Update: looks like, after going through some ups and downs with respect to the front of the house, they landed in a good place. The service we had was great and the food was in line with the price, given the view and venue. The one complaint was that the hollandaise sauce was clearly not from scratch, but I'm assuming that's because of the recent bird flu outbreak, affecting egg production and distribution in the SD area.
The view was nice. The food was good. The waitress seemed annoyed that she had to wait one us. There was also a $5 surcharge that we weren't completely sure why we were charged
Excellent skirt steak meal. As everyone else remarks, the view of the marina is great. Ate in the dining room rather than the live music venue, which was great for me and very comfortable. Cheesecake desert was also excellent. $50 meal and felt it was worth it.
Have only eaten here as part of concert ticket packages but have four years of experience to rate them on. I can say my ratings would be the same as four years ago. They're consistently above average. We always enjoy our meal and drinks with friendly service, but not feeling worth the fifth star.
We ate there and after there meal we went and listened to the live music. Wife and I thought the food was amazing and bigger portions so I was full, a bit pricey I had the beef short ribs and wife had blackened shrimp, both were better than average in taste. The cost was about 30 per plate. Four stars for the cost of the plate and the music afterwards slowed as the night progressed. By midnight we were bored and left. Overall very nice evening.
Restaurant here is good, food was great and service was equally good, there is little more I’d ask for. Good wine selection but they didn’t have everything in stock - when they didn’t, had good suggested alternatives. The bar makes good cocktails, not the half hearted versions you may get in other places. Do note, the bar has live music - if you want a quiet night to talk, it may not be the place, but if you want to drink and listen to a band or DJ, it’s the place to do. You can’t hear the band in the restaurant.
This the best location to vacation. Right next to the Marina. Everything is wonderful until you try to get some fun at.night. the bar a day before was handled by a great and experiment bartender. Today wednesday march 3 was different. Sloppy service. Lime for drinks were spoiled. Bartender was mire focus in chores for closing than attending the bar. But the music was gorgeous. In balance a great place that need more attention. .
The hostesses seemed to lack basic procedural training - I had to actually offer to add my name and number to a list when they didn’t prompt me. We got steak and eggs, the steak requested medium came out well done. Lobster omelette was tasty but lobster also overcooked and the beurre blanc was runny like a moat around the omelette. Also received the wrong toast the first time around. We didn’t complain because another situation took priority. View of the harbor was lovely from our table by the window. Prices were reasonable. We will likely go back to enjoy the view, and we walk around shelter island almost every weekend… but have realistic expectations for mediocre food. Keep it simple!
Well, I was really expecting a better experience at Humphrey's. The restaurant is situated next to a bar that offers live music. That's a raucous place all on its own and the sound of the music also carries over into the restaurant a bit. On a positive note, the restaurant is attractive, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the view out of the large windows into the marina is very nice. However, the food service was a bit uneven. The pork chop dish was good, but only after being sent back to ensure the pork was cooked through completely. The lobster risotto was flavorless and bland. There was also a lack of lobster, but the biggest problem was the overall lack of flavor. By comparison, the scallop and crab cakes appetizers were quite delicious. However, there was only one - yes, one(!) -- scallop in the scallop dish. Please....why???? There was also only one crab cake, but that was at least larger. So, gang in the kitchen, please focus a bit more on the menu dishes and get them out perfect the first time. Also consider upsizing some of the serving sizes for the appetizers. If you do that, then this review will jump to a 5-star review right away.
Came here for dinner because it had quite a good number of reviews and did not have the best experience. Got here at around 8:40 and the kitchen was supposed to close at 9:00, So I guess it was pretty late but the service was not quick and food was not all available. I really wanted to get that roasted half chicken but they said they were all out. Husband and I both ended up getting the Macadamia Crusted Halibut - one with the saffron rice and another with broccolini that would have been on the chicken. Fish itself was exceptional! Perfectly cook and flavorful (I had a bad experience with halibut at a different restaurant where the fish was completely bland and tasteless, but this was not so!) Crunch from the macadamia crust was just right. And really good flavor. saffron scented basmati rice on the side was really soft and delicate. Perfectly fluffy and flavorful even on its own. orange-mirin beurre blanc was lovely. It had a nice flavor and went really well with the halibut and the rice. Good quantity of the sauce as well. Broccolini was perfectly tender and quite a good portion size! Overall the Food was good but the service was so so slow! The restaurant barely had five tables occupied but who took easily over 20-25 minutes to come out. Finally came out after we called the server and asked why it was taking so long. Ambiance was very quiet even though it was aesthetic. It seemed a little empty though. Maybe it's because we were there so late. The venue just next to us on the other side of the wall had music playing and seemed like It had a good vibe going. Maybe that's the place to check out next time!!
Went here for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant looks fancy and has a great view but we we're definitely over dressed. People were not dressed up which was fine but that gave mixed signals as to whether the restaurant is upscale or not. We didn't get rose petals on our table or even acknowledged that it was our anniversary. I don't know if you need a reservation or not but I did make one just in case. The food was good but nothing to brag about. The prices are too high for it not to really bring it with the food. It's not a waste of your money but I didn't leave feeling like I just ate the best meal ever.
Service was great. Carlos was our server. Food was ok. We came in thinking it was a buffet brunch with unlimited champagne. According to all the reviews, that is what was offered. The reviews should be removed seeing as how that is no longer offered. Or management should add that is no longer offered. Nice view. I was looking forward to 2 carving stations at the buffet brunch.😞good coffee. COVID is over, bring back the buffet and champagne.
Annual holiday breakfast for work an upscale place w good but overpriced food
Beautiful location, attentive servers, clean restaurant. We ordered a steak plate, halibut and the chicken. Our steak was very tasty and tender you didn’t need a steak knife. However, to my surprise the fish and the chicken were very dry, tough and flavorless. We ordered for plates and shared because we had never been and wanted to get the full experience. I would definitely recommend the steak, only if you’re in the area. Not a place I would drive out of my way to get to that’s for sure!
Kitchen was slow, so some of the food was under the heat lamps too long. The bartender made a very nice Manhattan, but we ordered an Old Fashioned. Our waitress was very personable. It just seemed like all the staff was newish.
I mean.. The place is really nice with a great view. We ate there for breakfast since it’s a walking distance from our hotel, but I was not impressed at all with their food. My kid and my husband ordered medium rate steak and eggs with chimichurri sauce, but their steaks came out well done and the server forgot to give their A1 sauce since the steaks were dry and A1 sauce was definitely needed. It wasn’t even that busy, but she was rushing to leave when we asked. My lobster omelette was alright it was dry and overcooked. It came out bare. It definitely could have used a little touch of spice and a little garnish on top would have been nice. Couldn’t taste the herb as described on the menu.
Food was great, Antonio was amazing much better than our actual waitress. Antonio was actually friendly and welcoming where our waitress just had a very cold stand off vibe. Beautiful place good food just not sure I’d come back to be treated that way again.
We had the Sunday Brunch buffet which starts at 10 am up to 2 pm. Great food selection, meat, seafood, desserts. Boggles the mind. Unlimited mimosas. Get reservations, they get very busy. They had 3 large group parties when we were there. 20%discount if you are staying at the adjacent Half Moon Inn. Addendum: the above was my original review prepandic. They closed the buffet for a while but appears to have reopened starting with this past Father's Day. This last visit I would give ⭐️⭐️ only. Went there for dinner the night before Father's day and was ok for the most part. I had the Lobster Risotto and it came out dry and cold. So not very happy about that. The rest of the party's orders where great though. We had 2 wait staff assisting us that evening and unfortunately the more senior one was impatient, condescending and passive aggressive. She got some orders wrong and made it like it was our fault? We were guests at the hotel and entitled to a 10% discount which she said was included but a quick perusal of our bill showed it was not.
First time around dining experience was superb. However this time around we went there after a comedy show and their band fell through. No music was playing, bar tenders were inattentive, and they were ride kicking people out after they had purchased drinks and sat with a last call time of 9pm. So lame.
I went with a group of ten for Sunday Brunch. It wasn't busy, so most of the smaller groups were seated by the windows that look over the bay. Unfortunately, our table was well away from those groups, and we suffered for it. We weren't isolated - but there were 3 or 4 tables between us and the active seating area. It took about 20 minutes for a busser to come over to ask about coffee, water, or any starting items. Once asked, it took 10 more minutes for the coffee and water to actually be served. I was done with my first cup of coffee before the server came to the table for the first time. We placed our order, and waited - with no more coffee and no more water offered. The food arrived 25 minutes later. I think the quality of the food might have been quite good, but unfortunately it had all sat under a warming light for quite a while, and was a little worse for wear. The service was quite poor, but I can't speak for what experience we would have had as a party of 2 or 4 who were seated closer to the action. But for larger parties at a less-busy time of day, I can't recommend it.
We had dinner one night as we were staying at the hotel. The servers were great! The food was lacking in flavor. I had short ribs with augratin potatoes. The short ribs just didn't taste right. The augratin potatoes were not cooked all the way. Very disappointing. Lunch the next day was fine. One morning we were going to have breakfast and ended up leaving since we were told tables were not ready yet there were several available.
Unfortunately Humphrey's tries but it just doesn't work. I don't think anyone is in charge. The atmosphere is good, the food is acceptable, the prices are outrageous and perhaps deservedly so because of the concerts they have there. But you do not get value for the dollar. One look at the wine list and you see that they're trying to upsell you at every corner. The wine by the glass list is abysmally small and with wines no one would ever buy if they had a different choice. The service is fine if not in fact over-bearing. Overall, you leave there thinking, why did I come here when there are so many better restaurants nearby.
This is a very disappointing visit. The food was great! The service was lacking in many ways. The server spent an extraordinary amount of time at two tables and totally neglected the others. Several times we waited to weather server chatted it up with other tables. There were three tables in the room that got totally neglected. On top of that our server got our credit card switched up and charge someone else's meal on my card and my meal on someone else's card. I believe it should have her attention on what she was doing this never would have happened. Totally distracted. It really took away from the celebration of my wife's birthday.
The restaurant is lovely, but that’s where it ends. Roasted chicken seemed to be steamed and then put under a broiler to browned it. It was very small and tasteless. The halibut tasted like it had been frozen and microwaved. The quality seems to be OK, but the preparation was under par. Absolutely no bread! But the table behind us was able to get garlic toast with their muscles. no honey for the tea, no refills on tea or coffee.
We arrived for our Mother’s Day brunch and had a reservation for 11. We were taken to a table for 8 and they proceeded to bring two extra chairs which made it very cramped. We still needed an extra seat for a high chair and they wanted to cram that into a corner of the table. The manager was there who told us that our reservation was only for 10 so that’s all they could accommodate. My husband brought up our reservation to show him it was for 11 including a high chair. They apologized and ended up moving us so they could push two tables together. The food and atmosphere was great but it was not a great start to our brunch.
The old woman who was our waiter was very arrogant, the service was on the low level. We came with my wife, I ordered shot of espresso for me and breakfast for my wife. The food was on the very average level for the place like this. Cups was dirty. And that happened with us two days in a row. Never will come back to this lousy place again.
“Legendary Holiday Buffet” was more than disappointing, for $100 a person I would expect more than a waffle bar and day old food items. Prime Rib was undercooked, ham was dry and the random breakfast food looked like it was served during the continental breakfast. Sad display of “high end dinning” do not spend your holidays here.
Went to Humphreys for Mother’s Day dinner. My husband originally set reservations for 5pm, a couple days prior he gets confirmation for 3pm. We kept it since we’d never been there. Went in and nowhere on the website did it say buffet style. We were told at arrival. The buffet set up was sad looking! Everything so spread out in a big room and no flowers or any attempt to make it seem pleasant. All we saw was a dated stinky room. The prime rib station had no prime rib and the food looked old and recycled. We proceeded to eat since we all had been looking forward to this nice dinner with the family. The food was stale, cold, and tasteless! We all got one plate and my kids went for dessert. Again nothing special! No one was impressed until we got the bill and needless to say 95$ per adult was a 40$ Buffett at best! I debated leaving this review but it was that bad! I even thought, well maybe we’re paying for the view but we got sat in the back facing the parking lot so no views. We were out faster then we were in. Bad experience for Mother’s Day dinner.
